The island were closer, but her glider was flying at a really bad angle. She did her best to keep it on course, but it was starting to fly below the islands themselves...

The next thing she knew, she was back at the start. How she had gotten there was beyond her however.

For some reason, he was back. There was a certain allure to it, and Breuse didn't think he should give up so easily.
...Though, this time, a horrible feeling sank into him as he managed to get the glider into the air, and Breuse repressed a shudder.

The feeling stayed, and Breuse was unsettled. All he could do was to take in slow and deep breaths, hoping that it would somehow chase this unnerving emotions away.

He gripped the glider tightly and sailed on.

It was this part, he thought, as the world dropped away beneath his feet. This was where he had fallen the last time. He only hoped he wouldn't have to go through that again.

He was so close to the island. He realized. He was almost there. Almost.

Finally, he managed to land his glider on the island, and made his way to the prominent building. The shrine. Breuse marveled at the totems and the strange symbols, all while wondering what they meant.
His hand closed around a blessing and he felt himself filled with warmth--
And he was back at where he had started, safe and sound.

Returning some time later, Rusekop, used the crank as she did before, setting her glider up and then letting the machine throw her into the sky. She wanted to get to those islands, to receive another blessing to strengthen her.
As she soared over the open expanse, she felt a sense of courage that over-rid the sense of fear, and she relaxed into the glider, allowing herself to enjoy the experience of flying.

The glider falls below and Licraesa watches it with a sick feeling. That was almost her.

As she flew through a band of fog, the scenery changed around her drastically. She could hear terrible screams, everything burned around her including her glider. With a shout she dropped, trying to put out the flames with one hand before the vision ended, and she pulled the glider up.
"What...the hell was that?" She gasped.

Regaining her composure, Rusekop once again felt the strong surge of courage, abolishing all traces of the fear. It was only a vision, it wasn't real. Gripping the glider, she soared onwards.

As the world dropped out beneath her, she focused her sights on the floating islands ahead. It was hard going though, with the winds buffering her glider and making it more difficult to fly.
