There were of course, only a few cookies scattered, so only a few people got to eat one. They tasted like rainbows grey and holidays blue. It wasn't exactly pleasant, but it wasn't unpleasant either.
"Since you found them, you should keep them, I insist, I'm going to make more very soon!"
The figure's smile grew a little wider and it grew more colourful grey. "I'll make plenty, plenty, plenty more."
The cookies in her tray began to grow a little more in form until it resembled, just vaguely in shape, the ones who had touched them.

Velmin paused as he looked at the cookie that he had licked and back at the person he asked. "I.........." That was actually a valid question. "...I don't know. I don't know why I even asked. I just wondered. The cookies are blue and our ....here are blue." He pointed to the figure's center and then at his own. "I wondered if it would be good or bad. They look....not good. Their faces with the blue." He said, not sure how to describe it.
"So I wondered." He looked at his cookie that then reached where there was some frosting still at the corner of his mouth. Instead of licking it, he dabbed the blue frosting on the cookie's center to make it look as if it had a heart too and held it up. "It kinda looks like us now."
Was that weird to say?
Just then, a fragment floated by, but as he reached, it moved it's course towards the moving water and out of reach. "Oh." He was sad it wasn't closer.

Well.
This was certainly not what he expected - though what he had expected was not exactly something he was certain of, so maybe it was all just nothing at all.
He moved towards the nearest figure, peering over their shoulder curiously.
"What's that?" he asked, tilting his head and trying to examine the small object, first in his hand, and then in the hands of those that stood around, his interest slightly piqued, although he could feel the warmth of something glowing just a short distance away...
He also may or may not have accidentally knocked in to someone as well, something grey and sort of odd looking.
"Oops. Sorry."

Another fragment caught her eyes and she moved towards it, small hand reaching, but just as she was about close gray fingers it ess gone. Poof, without a trace.

Nush stared up at the goddess as she appeared. Oh, she had made these? He blinked and looked back at the cookie. It.. looked a little bit like himself. He tilted his head, then turned back to the one who had spoken to him.
"It doesn't really taste like anything," he said after awhile. It was kind of bland. Maybe cookies were all supposed to be like this. He wasn't sure.
Another fragment was near, but he was too slow to really be able to grab it.
"Many things are blue around here."

He began to walk the temple at a casual pace, eyeing the dark recesses of the structure's columns. Another light glimmered, and he darted after it, only to come up empty-handed.
The Goddess did not reveal her secrets easily, it seemed.

She would wait? That was...reassuring. He nodded by means of quiet thanks, making another attempt at securing a shard that floated by overhead. It passed through his fingers as easily as the fog, and he grumbled softly in mild frustration. There were plenty more to be had, but so many failed attempts at garnering more knowledge amounted to a grating edge.
Imuiel's head twitched to the side as Shasa seemed to fade, watching the brief process over his shoulder with a vague note of something that felt like alarm. Was that what the warmth was? Did it...do that? Hm.
"I will not be long. Will stay...close." Close was good. Something about staying in a group felt right, even if the group just numbered two. "More will come." He just had to keep his patience about him, and do his best not to lose his companion in the fog.

"Thank you," Lyzzi replied quietly, tucking the cookie away; she didn't want to eat it, not yet, and felt compelled to keep it with her as long as possible. A companion of sorts, even if the cookie can't talk.

Another glimmering shard, but one again it was gone when she went to close her hands around it. Disappointment sat like a bitter taste on her tongue, and with a soft pout she turned, searching for more fragments.
If they all came with the flash of a memory then she was eager to get her hand on more.

Ixb glanced up at the Goddess and... well for some reason he really liked this one. Perhaps because she was their patron but.. maybe it was also the cookies.
"Cookies."
He said it on instinct when another shadow nudged him and asked. "Want one?"
Ixb handed the owl cookie over to the shadow, with what could have been a smile.

Finally get hands closed around another small fragment, and just like before it came with a rush of sights and sounds.
A bright light and the sound of masculine laughter. That deep voice again, lie and rambling. Only one word this time, but it's clear. "Priestess." Gin blinked, small hand lifting to her cheeks as a flush darkened already ashen skin.

Tiny Igny stumbled into the caves, awestruck by their size and beauty. Rushing water sounded around her, while tiny fish danced at her feet. It was ... It was nothing but beautiful. She was stunned into absolute silence for a moment, before taking a single step and promptly tripping over her newly formed feet.
She landed on a tiny fragment, about the size of her palm. Wide eyes stared with dewy desire, and she held her hands out to meet the fragment. It was soft, warm. It smelled of tea. Oolong, warm and bubbling over the fire.
Igny was suddenly reminded of a purpose. Seeking what was lost. What couldn't be found. The waterfalls churned with her mind. Something was wrong.
Standing up, she quickly realized she wasn't alone. "Excuse me," she said, softly feeling between a few figures. "Can ... Can you help me ... I think I'm lost. Or ... I'm not supposed to be here."

Turning, he looked at the goddess from before and looked at his almost plain cookie that he was told to keep. With all the water around, he hoped he didn't drop it, as now he had what he assumed was his first ever possession. A cookie that...now looked a bit like him.
"Yeah. It didn't." He said, not tasting much to the frosting. "I thought it was just me maybe." He had hoped someone knew more than him.
Now that he thought about it, he looked up. "Who are you?" That was something he could ask. A door asked him. Maybe a door asked this person too.
Another fragment went by, and he looked beside the stranger to reach out, but the light ran away. "Hmm." He wasn't good at this.

Sharps looked around, seeing faint lights blink in and out before her still focusing vision. She felt the tugs of multiple hearts around her but felt something calling to her from the dark. She stumbled towards a particularly black patch of temple corner that hand faint blips of light and the faintest feeling of memory radiating from them.
She reached out to try and grab one of the lights. As her hand closed around it it faded from existence, catching her off guard. A sound wisped past her ears, a lilting sound that mimicked laughter. She shook her head, frowning momentarily.
Character name: Mohawk Sharps Character appearance: Dark wisps obscure the appearance of a small girl. Within her chest glows a bright blue light. Link to Heart Log: ♥ Current HP: 30/30 Current weapon equipped: None.
People who were more than the wisps present could, in all probability, liken Imuiel's darting and snatching to chasing after butterflies. In essence, it was similar--save for the fact that these butterflies were something more than bright insects. A fourth came into his possession now, and he lowered his now clearly defined beak to its level as he cradled it within his hands.

While the first half of that had been easy enough to understand, the remainder distorting itself into an unintelligible mass of sound was what left Imuiel slightly confused. It seemed that each of these shards brought forth something...entirely unrelated. What was he to do with these snatches of--something? He wasn't quite sure what it could be. Maybe it would become clearer when he found another shard--he could feel it, just one more was needed...
