Lillian watched and followed Adrian as he pushed her car down the hill, stopping just before the driveway. She sighed and had thought of helping, though felt that she'd only be getting in the way if she would try moving it. "I guess that you're right... I just don't like seeing people hurting. It's fine if you don't know my father... most people don't and those who do wish they never did because of the way he can be sometimes..." she said in reply to Adrian's words. She noticed her mother's car was in its usual spot as she walked and she wondered if her mother would be able to hold her tongue about all that she had done for Adrian out of pocket. It was only too certain that if her father would hear about that then it would just become and endless, downward spiraling arguement between her parents.

Adrian glanced at Lillian, seeing her eyes dart to the car he didn't recognize. Must be her mother's car, then, he reasoned. He took a deep breath. "If I had the money, I would have paid for what she did... I do know where a cavern not too far from where I've been staying has some really interesting surprises," he said with a faint smile, palming something as he waited for her to turn around. He had, in his hand, an uncut sapphire two inches wide and twice that in length. It was also roughly a fifth the size of his fist.

OOC- I know the feeling; I'm having to do the same thing.
Lillian nibbled her lower lip as she walked towards her home. She looked to Adrian after he spoke and said, "I know you would have. I just hope that mother doesn't tell daddy about it or it'll all blow out of proportion and he may throw you out without even a second thought... Although I could start crying and I could get him to let you stay. He always crumbles when I cry. And the funny part, in my opinion, is that I can 'cry' just out of nowhere and he can't tell if I am seriously crying or not. Though it's also sad, because he doesn't even pay enough attention to me to tell if I'm honestly crying or not..." she said before noticing that Adrian had something in his hand. She couldn't see what it was, so she just glanced up at Adrian's face before asking about the cavern he'd been staying at; not bringing up the question of what may have been in his hand.

Adrian tilted his head. "It's probably three feet wide at the entrance and probably four feet tall, widening to about eight feet tall a few yards inside and about half again that wide, so it's pretty good sized. There's a small spring inside the cavern which provides fresh water, though having these," he said as he lobbed the sapphire lightly towards her, "nearby helps a lot," he said with a faint smile.
Lillian listened quietly as Adrian spoke and she wasn't sure that she would personally like living in a cavern, though if it was a safe place then she guessed that it'd not be too bad to live in. And from the sound of it the carvern was fairly nice sized and not all cramped or something. Although she was a bit curious about the condition of the cavern, however, she did not ask because she figured that it'd not be a nasty, wet cavern or anything like that.
"That sounds like it would be a nice place, although I am not sure I'd be able to adjust to anything other than what I grew up with, yet I don't really know what I'd be capable of if I really had to." she said as she thought to herself for a moment about what life could be like living on the edge, free and not having any rules other than her own. Although she noticed that Adrian tossed something to her and she just managed to catch it. As she looked at it her eyes became huge and she said, "Oh my goodness... You found this in the cavern...? You're the only one who knows about them right? Please tell me that you are... If not then everyone will try raiding the cavern for them... I wouldn't want to see you lose your home if someone were to find out about them..." she said, just loud enough for Adrian to hear, as she looked from the sapphire to Adrian; concern glittering in her eyes.

Adrian chuckled at Lillian's reaction to the sapphire. "It's not far from where I've been living, but as far as I know, I'm the only one that knows about them, and that is only one of many different gemstones; if nothing else, it can partially pay for that treatment," he said with a shrug of one shoulder. A small sheepish smile flickered over his lips as he saw the door open as the woman from the hospital stood in the doorway. Well, if nothing else, that should dissuade her father from putting his head up his a**, he thought.
Lillian looked again to the gemstone in her hand and she was a bit dazzled by it, though she soon returned her attention to Adrian as she heard him speaking. "I'm glad that you're the only one that knows of them... I'd hate to see people flooding in and taking them all, especially if you have uses for them," she started before looking to her home and nodding at the mention of them possibly being a way of payment.
"I do agree with you about that. I mean dad'll probably go nuts over them and will more than likely let you off the hook if he sees even just this one gem. He'd probably get it made into a necklace or something for mother." she added. She hoped that her father would leave it at that and not ask for anything else, though she knew him only too well, even if he didn't know her as well as he should, and she could only imagine what he'd start asking for. Unfortunately, her father was a greedy man and always tried getting all that he could, even if that meant taking advantage of others. She mentioned bits and pieces of this to Adrian, well more like all of it, though she felt a bit awkward about admitting that her father was that kind of person.

Adrian shrugged. "Hey, my godparents aren't exactly normal, so I can't really comment on how my family is at times. Unfortunately I don't know if they even know of my existence or where they are at the present time," he said with a shrug. It was interesting that he had a natural talent for exploring caves and finding gemstones. He had gotten a letter from someone named Colby Jansen that had mentioned his godparents, though he only knew their names. Ivory and Razvan, he thought, referring to his godparents' names.
Still feeling a bit awkward about telling Adrian of her father, Lillian asked him if he'd not say anything for fear of her getting into some sort of trouble with her father. When she heard Adrian speaking she tilted her head some and said, "So... you don't even know if they know that you exist? And you said they're your godparents?" She looked to her mother's car and then decided to head inside to see if her mother had made the mistake of slipping up about helping Adrian out. She motioned for Adrian to follow and she made mention of a warm bath for him. She also said about showing him the guest bedroom where he'd be staying, if he really did want to stick around for a while.

Adrian shrugged. "As far as I know, no. I got a letter from someone named Colby Jansen mentioning them, though unfortunately what I was able to save from the accident was ruined by the river," he sighed. He followed her and was mildly interested in the idea of a warm bath and said so, as most of the baths he'd had in the recent years had been cold or lukewarm at best. "The room sounds interesting as well. It'd have to be better than a dusty rock floor only mildly cushioned by a pelt," he said with a shrug.
Lillian smiled at Adrian as she led him into her house. She was not sure if there was any spare clothes for him to wear, other than the things that he had gotten while they were shopping, after he got his bath. She wasn't really sure how to respond to Adrian's words, so she just led him to the guest bedroom. This room was a lot better than the room that Lillian had; mostly because her father thought highly of his guests and did not want to have there be any reason for them to be unsatisfied when visiting. "Here's the room that you'll be staying in while you're here. Daddy loves to pamper his guests becaue he thinks that they'll speak highly of him if they're treated like royalty or something..." she said, a bit disappointed as she looked at the room, all while thinking of her own room. "Oh, I can take and show you where the bathroom that's more like a small bath house is, if you want to see that now? And there's a spare royal blue bathrobe in there for when you get out. You can keep it if you want to. Daddy'd probably say that it was a compliment or something... He loves his guests more than me sometimes..." she said, mumbling the last part of her sentence as she leaned into the doorway, sighing.

Adrian cocked his head as Lillian spoke. "Apparently in his mind there's no such thing as over-the-top, though if he treated his family as he did his guests, maybe it'd be more pleasant," he said softly. He nodded when she mentioned the bathroom, though he rolled his eyes when she mumbled about the 'guests more than me' part and though he heard it clearly, gave no sign that he did so.
Lillian nodded slightly as she heard Adrian speaking. She did not say a word in reply because she was just to caught up in the fact that her father treated pretty much everyone other than her like they were royalty. He had treated her like that when she was younger, though once she started getting into her older teens he started making her feel less and less like his 'little princess'. She led Adrian to the bathroom and said, "There's everything in there that you'll need to clean up and there's probably even some spare clothes for guests that you can use. If there's anything that you need just ring the bell in there and then someone will come and tend to whatever you may need. I need to go to my room and think for a while... and I need to walk Roxy." she said before leaving Adrian near the entrance of the bathroom and heading to her room.

Adrian listened to her and watched her go. He glanced down at his bare foot before he cast aside the useless sandal before stripping down and bathing, sighing at the heat as he enjoyed it. He concentrated, unraveling the illusion he unconsciously kept around himself, revealing several narrow scars that looked like scratches on his upper body and arms as his hair seemed to lengthen until it was at the middle of his back rather than his shoulder blades as his skin darkened a few shades to a deep tanned color. His black hair seemed to ripple with subtle shades of indigo, navy, and dark gray as a sign of his true inheritance. On his right forearm, a black and silver Chinese Dragon tattoo seemed to stir against his skin. "Don't worry, KuranisÅ... if she's the one, we will trust her with this secret," he thought, communicating with the sentient spirit within the tattoo, an ancient elemental well versed in darkness and lightning based techniques. After roughly twenty minutes, he reapplied the illusion, shortening his bluish black hair to shoulder length and altering his skin color slightly. He was only able to use this illusion through KuranisÅ, which thankfully hid his true nature from all beings. He was, however, able to sense the undead that tended to slip among humanity.

OOC- He is unable to use magic, but has the elemental as a protection, nothing more.
Lillian plodded to her room and she decided that she'd walk Roxy later and she just sat on her bed, thinking to herself about how her father acts. She didn't want to think that her father didn't love her as much anymore, though the thought had crossed her mind. 'Daddy wouldn't do that... He wouldn't care about me less... I'm his little girl...' she thought that herself as she sat on her bed, hugging Roxy, trying to get comfort from the red husky. She had heard her father talking to her mother once about wishing that he'd had a son too, though her nother was unable to have any more children after Lillian was born. Lillian felt that her father wished that she'd have been a boy and she had tried running away when she was younger. Although she was dragged back and was scolded, without any sign of her father being happy that she was back and safe. Perhaps her father did care, though the way he treated her it was hard for her to believe that.
Lillian felt that she needed some fresh air and she walked out of her room after grabbing the leash for Roxy. She told one of the maids to let Adrian know where she was going before heading outside to take a walk with Roxy. She hoped that taking Roxy for a walk to the dog park would clear her head some so that she could go home and not keep thinking that her father thought less of her than what he used to.
