It took a good, long time before Selene was up and ready to help out again, but as soon as she gained her bearings she was slipping through the crowd, leaving her mark where she could when she found a student in need. When a student broke out into song, Selene was so startled she almost fell into a puddle of goo, which was actually a shadowling in disguise anyway. It was a good thing she didn't fall, this time.

No seriously. Ow. He did not want to get up. More chaos around him as people worked to fight with the thing, and that bird gave him a rather smug look as he pointed with a wing. And then there was another student reaching down to help him up. A bit surprising as he blinked at the outstretched hand before taking it. To quite a surprise really.
Perhaps it was the fact that someone had helped, or maybe the fact that the other was a healer too, but he did feel a bit better. "Perhaps." He replied, a thankful smile crossing the demon's previously grim face as he worked to dust himself off a bit. Ever the neat and tidy creature that he was. "If those things would just die off already." He added, glancing briefly to the shadowy creatures. He briefly glanced back, pausing again in silence as he noticed the small creature in the boil's pocket. "Was it safe to bring that one?" His ears drooped a bit, obviously more concerned for the creature than himself now.
And then, before he had much more reason to worry over the pet he felt a sharp bite on his arm again, qickly jerking to look but only seeing shadowlings and perhaps their teacher wandering away. Snappy little thing- wait why did he feel better again?
"I'm beginning to feel as if I get up merely to be knocked back down."

Taking a few steps back, Shun looked around at the remaining shadows. It was a little hard to discern which were which with the way they sort of melded together, but not enough that made them horribly hard to kill. Still, the Reaper figured he should do something to hopefully increase his efficiency in battle. Well. He tried in the very least. It didn't work out too well for him, as he attempted to focus his fear.
Then again, he felt another sting.. followed by a rather refreshing feel. He furrowed his brow. What the hell was doing that?

It didn't look like the glittery awesomeness was going to wear of the dragon anytime soon, but at least she had half a mind to move in front of Molan to keep the brunt of the shadowlings away from the healer as she heard Shun's melodious...melody. Her head swiveled to look at the Reaper with a critical eye.

They were singing, singing oh hell no. He clamped his mouth closed as he slowly made his way back into the fray. He gave Rosch one last thankful look before slowly wobbling off to combat once more.

Just great. OK. No he had this. He straightened a sleeve and glanced around. It seemed that dragon, who was trying to protect people, needed the most help at the moment. Rather looked like the things had been trying to pry scales off or something. So with that in mind he lifted both hands again, intending to once more try and create the cloud, unfortunately that drew attention. Which the ghoul was so kind enough as to block most of, but the sudden jerking, defense of the dragon, and shadowling in general managed to break his concentration and the cool air slipped away as uselessly as it had appeared. A growl escaped him as he cast a dark glare at the things, rather bitter about the whole matter.

And just as his ears laid back, rather angrily contemplating trying to rip things apart with his own hands again. Something amazing happened. Oh yes. He yelled at the top of his lungs and then. Then things exploded. "JUST. JACKING. DIE." BOOM. Just as shortly after the heal had been thwarted a brilliant light enveloped several of the inky blobs as they flickered out of existence and into nothingness.
....
Silence.
Maybe he should get angry a bit more? Though he looked as clueless as anyone else might be as to how his yelling had helped cause a grand old explosion. And then that expression left him as a smug smirk slowly slipped across his features and he looked to the owl from before.
Yes. That was definitely a 'HAH' look on his face. Fox demon wins this war. Why yes, he would take credit for that.

Shun gave a rather sharp glare towards Poke.
"It's clear from your intent expression, The gears are churning upstairs. But we're talking about shades and success now, We especially can't be caught unawares."
The Reaper stopped again and scowled. What the hell was happening to him? It was this shining light that was bursting out every now and then from their combined efforts. It had to be.
Damn this light even if it was helping them.

Amarus was particularly appreciative not only of Molan's occasional heals, but also of the delicious taste of shadow-death as they made them suffer for harming their home.
It wasn't much damage; she focused on destroying a shadow that she thought was too close to Molan, and silently continuing to strike out at any nearby, grazing them, boring holes into her opponents with the silence of her combat style.

Olivia felt a cooling sensation spread across her body, healing the cuts she had just received from defending the boil. It felt really nice, especially to someone who was loosely affiliated with ice and cold. Had to be from Molan, she's have to thank him.
She didn't get to think much on it because of the door though, and the scurry of creatures as the golden hinges opened up and engulfed the students in a glow and of a new power. Neat. And she could feel her smile brightening already.
"It's much more fun, I must confuse," she started singing a little off tune and out of no where as she pushed herself again into the midst of a few of the little shadow creatures, "When lives are on the line. Not mine, of course, but yours old boy." She let her foot do the talking once again, just as last time, "Now that'd be just fine."
The creature lurched and stumbled back from her attack upon it. Not dead, but wounded in the least.

Rosc nodded at the other demon over the thanks for his help. When Dawn was mentioned, he looked down at the pygmy wish in his pocket. Her ears were flicked back and eyes narrowed at the creatures swarming the others. "I wasn't about to leave her in my room with the things trying to eat her," he replied before both of their attentions were drawn back into the fighting. At least now he was actually lending a hand in things. One of the ghouls, she'd been taking a lot of damage from the things since he'd shown up. Some of the other healers had been helping her out, but she still looked like she could use a hand. Once more, he sent his healing out, anything that could help out.
Honestly, he wasn't even sure where this drive to band together with the others had come from. He hated working with others, even being around him rubbed his feathers in the wrong direction. He blamed Sin, and wasn't sure whether he really disliked the change or not.

Rosc felt a sudden surge of power around him just moments before a large number of the creatures burst into nothing. While he couldn't see the light that had consumed him, he sort of felt it, the warmth and something more. It was powerful. And damned useful.
Must have been bright though, because Dawn had ducked back into his pocket with a surprised mewl.
While the Reaper glared, the dragon cocked her head in a toothy smile, reached forward with her frontal claws to move the masses away from the purple haired ghoul as she continued her duet with Shun

"Wonderful, just wonderful!" Selene was actually really pleased with the progress her scarelings were making. They were working together so well! It brought tears to her eyes to see them working as a group, bringing down so many of those awful little creatures that were trying to tear their beloved school apart. All she could do was continue to heal the injured, and cheer them on as best as she could.
Keeping spirits up was quite important, she told herself unconvincingly.
And it even seemed like they were winning! Nothing terrible had happened since the gate fall, and the shadowlings were diminishing.. weren't they?
Weren't they..?
Everything, every moment, attack, assist, even every movement itself seemed to draw to a strange long note, unfulfilled and unsatisfactory, as if something was missing. And perhaps something was, but for those fighting they had long forgotten, sucked into this strange spiral of dream - or was it?
The next second passed, another shadowling, dissipated. Silence again.
And once again they retreated, as the air itself seemed to buzz, to whisper something. Words.
- C...... M..........N...................-
They were gone, replaced by a single, black crater that appeared from the ground. A crater that revealed a massive head first, easily several feet high, followed by a pair of claws, antennae, beady yellow eyes. It lumbered slowly, shaking the earth with each step, more interested in gouging everything around it than just its assailants.

Shun only had a split second to relax as things quieted down again, only for something bigger and meaner than before to come up.

His eye narrowed and he took a step back. Okay. Now seemed like an excellent time to try and regather his focus. The fight had been going on for awhile but it seemed as if it was far from over. And so he controlled his breathing, loosening his form as he readied himself.
The Reaper's good eye snapped open as he managed to concentrate his fear together this time. Seen only to him, were areas upon the creature where he may be able to strike with great precision and effectiveness.
Though, before doing anything else, he paused as he heard Poke singing back at him.
"My thoughts are now morbid From the singing you've started, I'm tempted to give you your dues. And cut into you like these shades. Be prepared."
