A sour face appeared on Katsu's face as the numerous genin started to appear at the training grounds. Unlike Manta, Katsu actually didn't mind the crowded area; it meant that the village, as a whole, was becoming stronger, and that was very reassuring. Katsu, however, had a legendary hatred of training genin. He understood that he, himself, was a genin once, and that, as a jounin, it was expected of him to train Sunagakure's youth. To be honest, Katsu would eventually form a squad of his own filled with genin. He had just hoped it would be farther than sooner. His eyes went to the blonde boy with the mask, then to Ryuu. The two seemed like they were going to be friends, similar to how Manta and Katsu were. As Manta started to leave, Katsu took a look at the two genin, then shrugged. "Listen, we are going to go eat. You guys finish up here, then meet us in the Village Streets. That includes you, new guy. We're gonna have dinner, and it seems that you two need training. Training and a sensei."
His dull voice ringing in the air, Katsu turned around and started walking towards the exit of the grounds. He hadn't really meant to come off as mean or intimating, but he had a habit of coming of as strange to people who did not know him that well.

Hikaru listened to the Gennin and followed him keeping his distance. He could tell that the man they came face to face with was a Jounin, however Hikaru was just a touch offended by his tone. On a normal day he would have said something to entice the fight, the fact was simple if an enemy came into his range he couldn't hope to stand against Hikaru's technique. At least that's what Hikaru thought. "Well Ryuu, I'm not much for creating techniques with others but if you would like we could have a small sparing match, after all it seems we need more training." He over emphasized and raised his voice on the seems, he had hopped the Jounin would hear him and come back, after all that would be a real test of his skills. OOC: Didn't me to insult i'm just not used to people knowing that. “I end my fights quickly so that fewer people need to suffer.”

Ryuu thought about the offer to spar. He really didn't have enough chakra left to do the spar as well as do his training. Also, he still had the mission in the morning so, it sounded like it wasn't the best of ideas to spar him at the moment. "A spar does sound fun but, I'd rather not do it at the moment. Perhaps we can do it in a day or two. Also, if you are on my team then we have a mission in the morning to collect some herbs." Ryuu said to him. He figured that he should tell him about the mission considering it was tomorrow.

As he started to walk, something inside Katsu kept nagging him. He could almost here Manta's voice in his head, scolding him for leaving the genin to train by themselves. Come on, Katsu! Where's your spirit? It's your duty to train our youth! Katsu felt that Manta would say this exact thing, and as much as he wanted to leave, he wasn't the old Uchiha he was before. He turned around rather sluggishly. His eyelids were half-closed, his pupils looking down at the two genin. He some in his monotone voice, the speed of his words coming out calmly and unhurriedly.
"Actually, it might be best for you to get some battle experience soon. You two, try to get my handbead." Katsu untied is suna headband from his neck and hung it from his side. This would be a fair enough challenge for the two. Katsu, however, had no intention of taking this seriously. At least, not yet. "You may begin." He knew that Manta's genin was a healer, and a user of crystal jutsu. As for the new boy, he had no idea.

Hikaru needed information about this man, and the best way he would get that was by attacking. However as Hikaru was no ordinary Gennin his information gathering methods were quite interesting. He shifted his stance pointing his left side towards the Jounin and sinking into a fighting stance. He drew his right hand behind his back where it would likely go unnoticed and utilizing his magnetic chakra pulled a very small amount of Quicksilver from the bottle that would settle in his hand in an instant and turn into a Kunai, to the untrained eye it would appear to be a regular Kunai, though that was far from the truth. Rotating his body in the blink of an eye he launched the Kunai aiming for Katsu's throat, this shifted his body position around so that his right side was pointed towards Katsu and if his eyes were clever enough they would be able to see the Uncapped gourd. Shifting his weight to his the sides of his feet he launched himself forward turning into a straight charge. Naturally his Kunai would either spear Katsu before Hikaru made it to him or he would dodge it and Hikaru would gain an advantage though they were still about twenty feet away from one another. A skilled set of eyes would also detect that Hikaru's body was almost completely relaxed, his face was also impassive, devoid of a single emotion though he was feeling a soul deep excitement like he always did. ~Jiton: Shiruhayai – Magnet Release: Quicksilver – B Rank OOC: “I end my fights quickly so that fewer people need to suffer.”

Ryuu sighed as Katsu came back and asked them to get his headband. He wanted to get this over with as fast as possible but, just as he was about to start the other genin had already started with an attack that he had seen previously. It seemed he used Jiton. Ryuu smiled and made a few handseals and he disappeared into the dirt. Ryuu then made his way towards where Katsu was and reached his arm up out of the dirt to try and grab Katsu. If he was successful he would pull katsu into the dirt.

What have I gotten myself into? Katsu's eyes closed for an instant, the jounin debating on whether he should use his sharingan or not. Deciding against it, the man instead focused his attention at Hikaru. The genin attacked quickly, and Katsu didn't have much time to analyze his attacks. He did notice, however, the boy's use of jinton, and his uncapped gourd. A kunai raced towards the jounin at lightning speed, and before he could think, Katsu jumped back a bit. It had seemed that Hikaru had planned for this to happen, for the genin was soon in front of Katsu. Katsu's eyes remained dull and unsurprised, though the attack had not been expected. The man reached in his pouch and brought a kunai of his own to reflect Hikaru's attack. As he did this, however, he noticed Ryuu sinking into the ground behind Hikaru, no doubt attempting to catch the jounin off guard. The man's eyes shifted from Ryuu to Hikaru, then back to Ryuu. By now, the crystal user was in teh ground, and would be approaching Katsu any second.
Katsu pushed off Hikaru with his kunai, sending him flying back a few feet. He checked for his headband - still attached to his side - and moved to one of the rock walls Manta had created earlier; the one Katsu was on was about 6 ft tall, and its top was cracked and sizzling. Katsu crouched down. Ryuu wouldn't be able to reach Katsu at such a height, mainly because the rock was narrow and thin, not as big and wide as the ground. "Katsu, what did you get yourself into?" His hand laid in his shinobi pouch, ready to pull out any necessary materials if necessary. His eyes were still as plain as ever. He did not have to use the sharingan. As a genjutsu user, the jounin was trained in perception and noticing small details; before he advanced his sharingan, it was the only way the shinobi was able to tell if he was caught in a genjutsu. Katsu looked to Hikaru, the only visible opponent.

Hikaru was a little disappointed it seemed that he may have been found out, though he would have preferred for this to have taken longer. So being that it was clear that he would have to try much harder he decided to make the Jounin work for it. He pulled the Quicksilver out of its gourd with his chakra, moving to stand tall. Without much effort the kunai floated from his hand turned to liquid and rejoined the orb. The shinny silver surface of which glistened and wavered as if an actual ocean. 'This is going to be fun' He thought to himself, he decided that against an opponent of this caliber he was going to have to go a little further than what might strictly be necessary. As he focused the orb would divide into twelve equal pieces each forming a one inch sphere that would gravitate around Hikaru. This was mostly a cover, he walked slowly and purposefully letting one of his palms turn back where a revolving orb turned into a slight blade slashing his palm just slightly in order to allow Hikaru to use his summoning technique. Though he wasn't quite ready to actually use it yet. "You seem quite content to stay in your roost." He spoke in his normal quiet and detached tone as if he had no emotion at all. In truth he was bating the Jounin referring to him as a chicken as it were. OOC: For next time let me make my move please, honestly that's pretty close to what I was gonna do but I wasn't planing to catch my kunai, I was planing to turn it into a bullet and shot you with it when you dodged with your sharingan (only real way to see the attack) I would go for the belt with another attack. But for the moment this is fine we can take things slow lol. Ryuu sighed as he missed his first attack but, this was to be expected of the Jounin. Ryuu moved his hand back down into the dirt and he moved to an area about the jounin. Once he was up there he made a handseal with one hand and a mirror made out of crystal appeared in front of him. He made another handseal with the same hand and two clones stepped out of the mirror both completely made out of crystal. Ryuu smiled and watched as the crystal mirror exploded into millions of pieces. Ryuu and the clones turned towards Katsu and they all made there way towards him. They were pretty far though so it was going to take a moment. However once they would get there Ryuu had a plan in mind.

As Katsu looked at the two genin, it seemed that they were hesitant to attack him head on. Well, at least they're playing it smart. Based on their reactions so far, it seemed that Hikaru was the more cautious of the two, while Ryuu liked attacking. The jounin watched intriguingly as he saw Manta's student summon two clones to assist in the battle. They were still a few feet away, so Katsu moved. His eyes still kept Hikaru in their field of vision; he did not want to lose sight of him for one second, lest he do something unexpected again. Katsu decided that he would have to use some jutsu; without his sharingan, his taijutsu abilities would be highly impaired. No, at least he could hold them off with some genjutsu before that. The perfect technique sprung up in Katsu's mind, something that would test both the mental and physical abilities of the two genin.
The jounin's hands quickly went into a dog symbol, then into a tiger one; the speed at which they moved made them seem like a blur, but Katsu didn't assume that the two genin had missed the seals. If the genin had heard anything about Katsu, they surely would have known about on of his signature jutsu. Once he completed his seals, several of Katsu lookalikes sprouted out of the ground, as if the ground were water. There were about 20 clones in all, spread out in an area of about 50 ft in diameter. These clones were haze clones, and, as a result, were intangible. However, this was no genjutsu, and, as such, the clones wouldn't be dispelled at all. To the genin, it would appear that the clones were shadow clones; they would eventually find out that they were not able to attack any of the clones. The real genius of the technique, however, was that the victims would never know that the clones were unable to attack; if staged correctly, the user would throw projectiles, and the mass numbers of the clones would make it seem like it came from within the group.
Katsu, however, had to make sure he timed this perfectly. The 20 clones he had summoned all laid their eyes on the three versions of Ryuu that were approaching. After creating the dozens of clones, Katsu then created a mist that covered the training grounds. The mist would only help build the illusion that the clones were real, an it would also add in a bit of intimidation as well. The clones, thanks to the mist, would appear as nothing more than mere shadows and silhouettes, and it would also help cover Katsu. Furthermore, each of the clones appeared exactly like Katsu, meaning all of them had headbands hanging from their waists. The genin would have to think of something smart to find the real Katsu among the clones and the midst.
The jounin stayed in the midst of the clones. He would start attacking soon. That, and he wanted to see what the genin would do in retaliation.

As soon as Katsu made his first hand seal Hikaru was in motion, very lightly he jumped up. Simultaneously half of the orbs coalesced under his and form a small circle of hardened metal about 8 inches wide. The other orbs would spread out as Hikaru began to rise through the air. As the mist formed Hikaru rose above it, noting in his head Ryuu's last position, for this plan to work he would have to pull the real one out or shield him very quickly or he would die as well. Using the blood still dripping from his palm Hikaru formed a rapid set of hand seals before holding both hands out palms down. He was going to try something he hadn't tried yet, though he knew he could do it. It was the only way he could generate enough Quicksilver to carry out his plan. Focusing a massive amount of chakra he summoned both the Moderate and Small summonings, the larger of the two with his right hand the lesser with his left. Unlike most summons that released smoke his did not. The seals would spread across the air at his roughly fifty feet high it would seem that black cracks had opened up in the sky. From the center where the blood from his palms disappeared into the seals a silver river would flow. He manipulated the rivers flawlessly. Bringing them together underneath himself, and even feigning the length of the smaller river perfectly. As the seals vanished he focused with his whole being and separate the large orb, breaking a small piece off to where it would add to the plate at his feet strengthening it and extending it to a 2 foot circle. The rest of the orb would separate into 28 six inch diameter spheres. A small amount rounded out the original sphere. All together this was the most Quicksilver Hikaru had ever controlled. Now there were 29 spheres, and the plate holding him up, this all however took time, approximately thirty seconds to prepare, and on the battlefield that was an eternity. "Ryuu! Go deep under!" He could only hope that Ryuu got the picture because soon, anything on this battlefield was going to be absolutely annihilated. OOC: So to recap that took more than a normal action would, however my hope is that you can't see me. So we shall see. Although I really hope you guys are fans of FSN particularly Gilgamesh. “I end my fights quickly so that fewer people need to suffer.”

Ryuu watched what the other genin could do and honestly he was the most surprised he had ever been. How could this genin do this? After a moment Ryuu realized he had just been sitting there for a second but, once he realized it he got right back into action. He realized that might take a while for the Hikaru to do what he was doing. Ryuu ran back but, he sent his clones forward. He needed to keep Katsu distracted and he had the perfect idea. Ryuu went as far as away as he could and after Katsu performed his jutsu, the clones went on both sides of it. Ryuu then made a hand seal with a single hand and crystal formed all around him and became a dome. Ryuu than made another hand seal and the clones jumped straight up into the air so that they were looking at the mist. Once they were in the air their whole bodies started to become shuriken and they shot all over the haze. Once the clones bodies were completely done shooting shurikens there would be nothing left of them and in total about 150 shurikens would have been shot at the mist in all directions.

Safely guaarded by the mist, Katsu could only wait and anticipate the next actions of the two genin he was facing. Although the battle had just begun, it had seemed to Katsu like the pair were trying to incapacitate the jounin, then take the headband. The jounin didn't think it would work, but he had been surprised before, so he tried not to cast judgement too soon. As his clones moved about, the Uchiha heard the masked boy tell Ryuu to get underneath the ground. Tsk tsk...you don't announce your battle plans to your opponent. The man had guessed, by Hikaru's comment, that the attack was going to come from above, probably something massive or something on a large scale that would be able to destroy a multitude of clones at once. At least they still think these are shadow clones. Because of the appearance of the clones, Katsu had guessed that both Hikaru and Ryuu would attempt large-scale attacks to destroy most of his summoned clones; after the attack, the real Katsu would be left out in the open, and the two could gang up on him. Not a bad tactic, the jounin had to admit. It was the most wise route, that's for sure.
Sensing that he did not have a lot of time to waste, the jounin performed a few handseals before placing his hands on the ground beneath him. It wasn't long before his hands started sinking in, and soon, his whole body. The Hiding Like a Mole Technique would allow Katsu to escape whatever attacks the genin were planning, but it would leave no trace of his movement. Yes, if timed perfectly, the genin would assume that Katsu was still among the clones, and they would still attempt to attack them. He had to keep the illusion going on for long, but he would decide on how to do that later. As the last remnants of the Uchiha dug underground, Katsu felt some shuriken-like projectiles flying through the mist. The speed of the projectiles caused them to zip past in the air, and one of them was a mere inch away from Katsu's head. He approved of the technique before finally submerging himself underground. For safe measure, he went a few feet deeper than necessary to avoid any attack Hikaru had planned for the misted area.
As for above ground, the 20 clones continued to move about. The projectiles flew right past them and out of the misted area; because the clones were intangible, nothing was able to physically touch them. Because of the heavy mist, however, Katsu could probably get away with claiming that he performed a jutsu capable of protecting them all. The two genin were unable to see clearly into the misted area, and that meant, they would be unable to tell that the clones were intangible.

Hikaru was ready, now that everything was separated and he had control he could begin. The thing that troubled him was just how much chakra his plan was going to take. He thought the clones might be solid but he also observed the large amount of crystal shards flying out of the mist. This meant one of two things were true, either the clones were real and simply dodged a lot of attacks, or they were fake and offered no resistance. Either way there was one fact that was most likely above all else, Katsu would be hiding in what he thought was the safest place. That of course would be underground, or outside of the mist area all together, though the sheer size and lack of time made that unlikely. Focusing most of the spheres began to divide again. Only 5 of the 29 remained whole. At the same time as they began to divide Hikaru grabbed about twenty explosive pouches out of his auxiliary pouch and through them in a wide ark, each would be grabbed by one of the now smaller orbs. As soon as the bombs were inside. Then the smaller orbs shifted and formed weapons, most were fairly basic, spears, swords, and other straight blades. The ones with the bobs were different however. They turned into what would appear to be mace balls, or small round spheres with spikes radiating out. In total there were over fifty weapons. One of the remaining five orbs remained just over Hikaru's right shoulder. The other four moved in front of him forming a square. All his weapons were set at proper angles that would fire them into the mist. He could only hope that Ryuu had been smart enough to get out of the mist or take massive measures. As it was he wasn't sure if he would kill Katsu or not. With only a thought and a pulse of chakra the weapons raged into the mist. As they impacted the explosives went off sending shrapnel flying. It wouldn't be enough to penetrate Ryuu's dome but the shrapnel would shred any living target in, or immediately around the mist. It would also have another effect, that much heat from that many explosions would evaporate the mist almost completely allowing Hikaru to see that the clones were undamaged, as well as where Ryuu was. This all occurred within 5 seconds. As soon as he confirmed his theory Hikaru began the second stage of his attack. Using his new technique to its fullest he began to spray hundreds of bullet like projectiles out of the four forward orbs. The bullets were fired in such a way that would all impact the ground at an angle inside what used to be the mist territory, anything on the ground level would have been torn to shreds, as is he had to focus in order to not hit the dome. Though in truth he wasn't aiming at the surface at all, the bullets would penetrate roughly eight feet down though at the end of this range most of their speed would have burned off. So in truth Katsu was safe even though Hikaru didn't know that. So it would seem that with his breathing ragged he may have expended a lot of chakra without achieving anything.
