The loss of speech and hearing had been irritating, but Taima could have lived with that. The sudden loss of sight, on the other hand, was completely disorienting. She immediately lost track of all of the other had-been Blues, though their faces were clear in her mind. Her hands were stretched in front of her as she blindly stumbled forward, cautious of running into anything. She hadn't been shuffling along for long when she tripped over something in the floor. She winced as she caught herself on hands and knees, unable to voice a cry of pain and surprise even if she had wanted to. Her fingers rubbed against an intricate carving on the floor as she went to push herself up. She traced along it for a moment, but couldn't make sense of the pattern. With a shrug, she pushed herself back to her feet. OOC Character Name: Taima Current HP remaining: 50/50 On Step: Third Floor Character description: Taima is short and slender, almost waifish. She has long black hair, worn loose, and is wearing a simple silver dress and flats.

Rex charged through the door, talons and fangs bared, prepared to strike!
On the other side of the door, he found only darkness. Though the voice still echoed in his head, though it still spoke, he could not find it. It was here, he was sure it was here! But where was it?
He roared, but again there was no sound. Show yourself! He was not interested in stories or legends, he did not care about stories or kings. All he cared was to find the voice, to tear it with his jaws, to destroy it and make it suffer for all it had done.
Now he was stalking through the room, hunting, searching. He sniffed there air, the voice had to be here, he had felt the movement, the shifting of the ground under his feet. He sniffed the air, searching for a scent. I know you're here!
His head lowered, searching for a scent along then ground, then raising to scent the air again, a predator hunting his prey. He passed several objects, pausing only a moment to sniff at them before continuing on. Where was it...
How long he searched he did not know, though his patience was growing short. There, he had found something, something different, something unlike anything he had come across before. It was cold, hard, but he felt it, breath, life. Was this...this voice?
He could not read the words, did not know it wished for its name and so he did not speak or think one. He only did what he had come to do, Rex charged, latching his jaws around the throne, clawing at it with his talons. How he hated the voice, and that hate was transferred the object he was now attempting to maim and destroy. A mental ROAR and the lash of fangs was all the name the throne would receive from him.
Lunch, that was it's name.

EnteringThey walked together, hand in hand, Melvin and Saliva, into the dark. There was nothing here, but they moved. It felt cold here. Silent. Much like how he died. That was until they bumped into something and reaching out, he felt something smooth, cold, and metallic against his hands. His fingers worked around the shape to find it was a chair.
No.... a throne.
The words were felt and he thought. A name?
He remembered when he died that the voice said Pride had a throne, but that he wasn't pride.
If the Voice wasn't pride, then who was this throne? It was dark here, devoid of sound and light. It was nothing....
...like him.
He was an existence based on another. Was the voice the same? A reflection? The voice of something other than the king?
There were seven kings. Seven kings ...but not 8 kings.
Creation - Destruction Protection - Revenge Reflection - Grief Pride.............
He bite his finger, writing in the stone. Shame.

[ Entering ] The loss of hearing was one thing, the loss of speaking was painful but the loss of sight was downright horrific. The simple things in life seeing ones way around, recognizing a friends face, it was gone now. Whisked away by the whim of the voice. The sense of touch and taste was left. Debilitating and upsetting, Jing walked in and went back to his days of youth, feeling around in the dark, looking for a place to go. without sight, if was hard to guess the gauge in size of the room, sweeping motions of his hands met with nothing. the fear and panic began to grow, short hairs that raised with the assumption that he was cut off from the others. left alone again, all alone. the fear began again, gripping at his chest like a cobra, a python that refused to let him go. a deft searching fingertip that brushed against something, something physical, something present and he latched onto it, searching and probing the contours of the item, following it down and into the wet, cool compound. Water. A little pool of water, something that was liquid, wet, that stuck to his hand in tiny rivulets as he began to move around again. there had to be something else in here. (found fountain filled with 'water')

"Kings," The Voice finally spoke, anger now more visible than ever, "Kings, if you wish to be crowned the True King, and recreate a world from your own desire, open your eyes now, and see the traitors in front of you. You are not powerless. You were chosen and given a role. Remember it. If everything unravels, so will your purpose, and so everything you ever cherish or fought to protect will end. Fight now Kings, for what is right."OOC IF YOU ARE A KING: gaia_crown [ UNAWOKEN KINGS: Unawoken Kings have heard the voice. Everything fades in and you see it now, the throne room that you were called in before the battle happened, your senses have been returned to you. You see them now, the traitors so man, teeming and swirling in horrible, revolting silvers, some of them misshapen and so terrible. The imposters, the parasites who took over your friends, took over your kingdom and overthrew everything. - You must stop them. - Kings roll 2d12-4 and target one player. They HAVE AN UNLIMITED HP POOL. THEY CANNOT DIE IN THIS ROOM. - Kings are allowed to target ANY player. Quote them. You can only target one player at a time. You can attack six times in the time span of an hour (but make sure to select a different target if that player goes AFK and does not respond to you). - The PLAYERS are still blind, deaf, and mute. They cannot see nor hear you but they can feel and most of all react to your presence - Now you must STOP all intruders in the room. All players except kings have 25 HP in this room. They cannot attack back. Target and attack accordingly. If a player hits 0 HP, they dissipate and reappear at the bottom of the tower gaia_crown Awoken Kings: (Silver Kings) - You feel a presence, warm and cold, and you wake up too, able to see, hear, everything. You see the fake kings, and you know what you must do in stopping them. Silver Kings in this room cannot use their special abilities. - They roll 2d12-4 and target one player. You can either roll to ATTACK, DEFEND, or HEAL at target. Same dice for all (2d12-4). They have 100 HP. - Your goal is of course, also to protect the other Silvers, and try to stop the Kings. You can attack/defend/heal six times in the time span of an hour (but make sure to select a different target if that player goes AFK and does not respond to you). - If a Silver King dissipates, they end up at the bottom of the tower. They must wait 2 OOC hours before they can simply "teleport" to the top. IF YOU ARE A PLAYER:- You are confused as you hear the Voice. If you are QUOTED BY A KING and attacked, you cannot tell who attacked you, or even cry out. All you can do is fumble blindly, as you search around for what is going on. - ALL PLAYERS IN THIS ROOM have been reduced to 25 HP. They CANNOT attack back. When a King quotes you, they have targeted you. Take the damage and react accordingly and ICly. - Make sure to quote your 25 HP stats in the OOC of your post. - IF your HP is 0 or less you dissipate and end up at the bottom of the tower. To refrain from having to rolls dice for STAIRS all over again, you simply wait a cooldown of 2 OOC HOURS before you ICly run back, without having to roll dice (just skip back to the top), with all status conditions ie( blind, deaf, mute etc) - While this is going on you can still make guesses at the throne, which seems to be fluctuating in shape and form...

Terra entered at the worst possible time--not that she realized it, since she was blind, deaf and mute. She fumbled forward, blindly trying to find why she had come here, unknowing that the kings were going to war. Again. She found herself running into a table, fondling a book.

Quote: 21 - 40: You feel a small pillar, unlike the pillars in the center. This one is shorter. When you reach towards it, you fall into it, like reaching into a fountain. You feel something liquid, water perhaps, within it.
There was something in one of the pillars he stumbled to, and he recoiled from the water on contact. Who the ******** knew what it was meant to be? It was too risky to drink. He fought back frustration and panic, the urge to simply attempt to break anything within reach, that would be stupid. To come this far and end up with nothing to show for it.
Tracey too noted the liquid in the fountain but likewise could say nothing to discuss it with Rep. Sometimes the mind link was a benefit.

Sacrifice their sight. Great. Candace slowly stepped through the door and without even a moment to prepare everything was hidden in complete darkness. She squeezed Atropos' hand and slowly stepped forward, leading the other woman further into the room. There was once a great king.. Heirs..successors... Her heel fell into a hole in the floor and Candace fell with a silent cry, landing on her hands and knees. Wait..what..? She frowned and traced her fingers along the markings in the floor. What were these? She continued along the path of the markings, following them as far along as she could. She wasn't practiced in reading without sight. Were they words? Scratches? No, they were too purposeful to be simply scratches. Runes, perhaps? They didn't seem to make any sense. OOC Characters: Candace and Atropos HP: 44/50 Rank and Kingdom: Rook, Blue Floor: 300/300 Description: See avatar for Candace. Tired, dirty, and clearly stressed. Bix heard the voice but... he was blind.. dumb..deaf.
He wouldn't know if a King was here to kill him untilit happened, to behonest.
He flailed into the chair and it hummed to his touch. His mouth curled into a surprised 'O' as his touch slid along it's shape. Unfortunately it took a while as it was shifting. He found the engraving..it took him even longer to figure out.
How would he tell it his guess?

He could hear The Voice.
Frustration. Pain.
Anger.
The darkness swirled, twisting and contorting in front of him. He could feel it pulsing, like a heartbeat, and then it slowly dissipated, fizzling out until the room in front of him was visible - a vast, elaborate throne room with a throne made of silver steel, and Mengyao could see.
He could see her. She was not who he had thought she was - covered in dripping silver, a silver that burned, melted its way into his line of vision, tainting and corrupting something that had once been so beautiful. And beside her, the one he had thought he could trust.
The sword raised, the blade running straight through the arm of the first traitor.

Quote: 81 - 100: At last you come across something so different, the cool, sharp hum of metal. But unlike any other, this metal seems to hum and breathe. It feels like someone is gazing reproachfully at you. You run you fingers along the metal and make out something: a throne perhaps, a chair, tall and spanning forwards. The seat is empty.
When he stumbled upon the chair, Rep was no nearer to finding Harrison. He felt as though he never would, and this room was a puzzle meant for smarter men than him. He felt his way across it but found nothing but the words "Speak my true name".
He couldn't speak.
He was done fighting, done constantly trying to keep going only to meet with disappointment. He'd done what Mark sent them to do and killed Harrison, or at least, witnessed it. It had been a distraction, he didn't know for what. They had no way of knowing if it had worked or where the real Harrison even was any longer.
He sat in the chair for just a second to think, wracking his brain. It was a sorry sight, he wasn't a thinking kind of guy and never had been. The chair was like a throne and all thrones made him think of right now was how much he ******** hated kings and royalty and anything to do with the monarchy.
The voice was powerful and almost omnipotent, he was in its world and he didn't even begin to understand what he'd stumbled upon. It was grand, much grander than him.
He couldn't win against it.
It's true name. He had no idea, but he had a good ******** idea what caused all of this. Crystals. He'd ******** died to them before. Distortion.
He went to the fountain, and - biting a wound in his hand to make sure whatever he wrote could be read in blood as well as whatever was in it -, dipped his hand in.
After that he went to the book and wrote not a name but a short note.
"Dear Distortion. Give me back Harrison. Sincerely, ******** you."

Candace had at first ignored the call for Kings, desperately trying to figure out the grooves on the floor. They were too perfect to be an accident or something done over the course of time; these markings were intentional. They meant something but what?! Fight now? She frowned and instinctively looked up to see what was around her. Complete darkness and silence. She shook her head and tried to stand, moving her dress around so she could do so. She was completely unaware of the fighting around her. OOC Characters: Candace and Atropos HP: 44/50 Rank and Kingdom: Rook, Blue Description: See avatar for Candace. The sightless searched continued, with no senses and no direction to go other than the off feeling of going forward, the phantom call that pulled the soul toward somewhere, be it salvation or doom. Jing could still fell the moisture on his finger, the drops that clung onto him like dew when he shuffled about.
it was strange, odd that as he kept moving, the voice began to speak, this time for begging and pleading but offering a story, the story of a time when there were not 7 kings but one. unified into one country, one people. a true kingdom. there was nothing else to do but move, and listen and so he did, hearing of the time when life was grand under the great king and the downfall that occurred upon his passing.
The time of the more current days, its plan that was concocted in our to unify again, the search for another grand king.
the heavy thump that pulled him out of the voice's lamenting caught his attention and the pain that emanated from his foot was real, bending over the feel the edges and curves of what he guessed was a chair, a lavish one at that. Cool to the touch and it was almost as if it was breathing, puffs of air that wrapped around his body before melting into the room.
it was a ominous presence that chair or structure, the pinpricks that ran along his skin raised in alarm as he continued to inspect the chair from top to bottom, as if it knew he was there, touching it. it was the stuff of nightmares.
the engraving at the cusp of the seat was colder than other parts, the smooth engraving that he ran a hand across, imagining the way the curves matched up in his mind.
"CALL MY TRUE NAME"
Nothing else felt as if it was important, no other clue that seemed to be present as he went back to his full height, taller than the chair and tried to form a word. Thre was still not a sound, the silence of a man cut down. the Dead cannot speak. he was merely a shadow, in a room of darkness.
there was still more waiting to be found, but the chair still watched as he moved away.

As she stumbled along a table hit her and she hissed with pain, rubbing her hip and then reaching down to blindly search for what was on it. She felt paper. Old paper. She turned a page, feeling it for any bumps or grooves. Nothing. She tried to pick it up to perhaps feel the cover. Nope. Not happening. Andrew's words came back to her then. A tome made of purest knowledge, the strongest symbol of destruction. Her eyes widened. Was this the throne room? She needed to keep searching for more evidence. One moment he was sitting there, darkness, silence all around him. Nothing more than the touch of what he presumed was Lifen's hand, a small comfort to a friend in a moment of peril. And then sudden pain, sharp and stabbing. It pierced through his chest, and he could feel warmth blossom, bleeding out. But where it had come from, and from whom, ... he could only guess.
For a moment Kiwi's fingers squeezed Lifen's and slowly let go.
