As Gargantuan began to ascend the ruined tower, for the first time in his life, he wondered if losing weight would have some sort of good benefit. No, really. Each step he took, the floor underneath his feet groaned and shifted, and it was starting to make him paranoid.
A large chunk of rock smashed him soundly on top of the head, and the big man wobbled, seeing stars. Shaking himself like a dog, he grunted, rubbing the top of his head and glowering up at the ceiling as though it had deliberately tried to assault him.
That was when he found the Miasma clustered in the corner, and a big, dopey smile of delight stretched across his face. Good luck at last!

HP: 37/40 Rank: Blue Kingdom Pawn Location: Floor 1-5 Appearance: A very big, very thick human man. Dressed shabbily in a suit. Bald, wears a bowler hat, a thick jaw and dark eyes. Miasma: 4
Special Events: 1. Your suspicion and paranoia get the better of you as you attack the opponent closest to you. You do melee damage to them. Randomly select any player close to yours as the target (ally or enemy) 2. You feel a glimmer in the air: it seems like someone has left a valuable artifact here! You pick up +2 Miasma Points 3. You do damage equal to your RANK's melee dice (ie: if you are a Queen you do 2d12 - 4 damage, ouch!) If you are the only player from your Kingdom here, you do this damage to yourself
Needless to say, Julian was more than a little surprised when the paladin turned and slugged him. It wasn't terribly hard, but it was enough to startle him, enough to shove Alexei away while Alpha growled in the background. He didn't think the nord would fall backwards, didn't think he'd disappear completely.
Julian was immediately filled with guilt at what he'd gone and done. He shouldn't have done that, shouldn't have shoved his comrade. And now he was alone again.
"Damnit," he muttered, teeth gritting in anger at his own foolishness. He needed to move on, to see if he couldn't find Alexei or maybe even some of the others from Om. Even more, he needed to find miasma for the Voice.
Something flashed in the corner of his eye and he moved away from where he had been standing, heading over towards a pile of rubble. A small ring and two glowing vials had rolled behind it. With an almost bitter smile, he picked up the miasma remnants and put them in a small bag on his belt.
He was so fixated on the miasma that he didn't notice falling rubble until two rather large pieces hit his shoulders, making him hiss in pain. Alpha whined a little at him, no doubt worried that the area they were in might collapse. Julian quickly grabbed a chunk of fur and heaved himself onto her back, flattening himself as she ran out of the area, heading towards the stairs.

At the sound of a Voice, Melvin held his ears and just took deep breathes. Alright, that was the line that said he might have gone a bit too strong with that last batch and he should cut back on the Royal Blue. Saliva on the other hand was not prone to hearing voices, and found her panicking charge and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"It's not just you." She told him, and their Royal Leader spoke up. They got orders and now it was time to follow them.
"A tower? I thought we could go home. I wanted to eat something." Sighing, Saliva picked up some twinkies, put them in her pocket, and handed him a few too. "Eat those, and here." She gave him a plate of some cocktail sausages for protein. "I made sure these weren't touched. Eat those quickly cause you'll need em. I can't have you fainting because you just were tired and we were talking around." She picked up some water too and ushered him along.
She nodded to her King before the pair left.

Halfway up, he was starting to pant slightly with fatigue. He hadn't gotten as much miasma as he's liked, but some was better than none, not to mention with other kingdom representatives arriving, hostilities were quite likely to break out.
Without another word, he made his way down to return to his kingdom.

Name: Jake (The Chariot) Kingdom: Black Rank: Dark Herald (Pawn)
HP: 15/40 Floor: 21-40 Events: 9, 1, 7 Miasma: 5 Description: Something like this, but all black, his eyes and clothing accented with white. A shadow with the ability to form shadows into weapons, and while they may vary, they usually take the form of claws, blades or a lance, something allowing close combat. He can also summon his shade, a shadow horse with neon green eyes, but will rarely ever fight with it, as the shade's purpose is only to help him travel long distances.
Melvin was dragged along as Saliva walked through the streets, chewing on the sausages his guard insisted he eat and frowning as he did. It probably was a bit bizarre to be munching during such a serious mission, but Saliva was good at looking ahead and didn't want to drag a fainted chemist through this tower. It would be hard enough as he wasn't exactly battle ready. Skittish, paranoid, ever watchful of danger - Harrison had been right on the nose to pick him as a rabbit.
"If you see trouble, stick close. Actually, just always stay close." She said, and he set his plate on a empty stall counter as he nodded and then wiped his hands on a wet wipe.
"Do you think the Silver Tower had an outbreak? Could we catch something?" He asked.
"No. We're FINE." Disease wasn't what she was worried about here.
Together they approached the tower.

Character description:b[/] Melvin is a tall blonde man in glasses, skinny and skittish. Dressed in jeans, sneakers, and a blue hoodie that he seems to be hiding in, he's guarded by a busty, tan, exotic beauty named Saliva. The guard is wearing a tank top, skirt, and baseball cap, with large, long ringlets or red hair down her back.
No s**t, thought Rep as he started his ascent up the tower. Tracey had caught up and walked beside him, matching his step with uncanny accuracy, they were used to each other's company and when they were on duty seemed to fall into a sort of sync, partners.
Mass padded silent as a shadow across snow behind them, tail sweeping the steps. For him it was a nice daytrip and he had left expecting new friends. But something about this place muted the creature, some lingering sense of loss. He didn't think there'd be little snack hotdogs here.
It was dangerous too, and the crumbling building was prone to dropping ceilings and floors, debris being a real issue. Rep scouted ahead and more than once his claws had saved him from a terrible fate. But they made progress, slowly but surely, and there was miasma here, even if it had likely been mostly pillaged already on these lower levels.
LOCATION - FLOORS 1-5 HP: 57/60 Miasma: 0 + 2 Description:Rep is a somewhat buff redhead in an expensive blue suit with more bling than is reasonable. He has a blonde woman and a white tiger in tow. Since when was everything so... dark? That's the last thing you process as you black out. YOUR CHARACTER MUST KO. This counts as ONE death. All Miasma Points you have acquired post KO are turned to zero. You cannot transfer Miasma Points to another player. 9) You spot an odd rusted key. It actually seems extremely out of place in the staircase you are standing on. You pick it up
[Dakota White kingdom - Rook - Floor 1-5 to Ground]
Dakota felt the clue with his hands, running the etchings in his head as he tried to dechipher it. Without much more information to go on though, it was useless unless he went deeper into the labyrinth.
Luckily and unluckily though, he managed to get to the fifth floor, ascending before he fell through a slip of the floor and right back to the ground level.
Well then, he would just have to go again.

You end up in the ground floor (but no need to roll events again) -You manage to find a glowing vial of what you realize are Miasma Points. You pick up +5 Miasma Points.
Seemed like his good luck wasn't going to last. The next four floors were even more treacherous than the last, and Gargantuan tried to use his arms to shield himself. No good. Feeling fairly bruised and unhappy at this point, the big man made sure to check his pocket. Miasma and pill bottle, both safe and sound. Couldn't complain too much, he supposed.

And there she was, minding her own business, taking a much needed break from climbing steep and winding stairs that insisted on raining debris down upon her head, when she suddenly felt it. A sharp, stinging sensation in an area that she very much did not want to feel a sharp, stinging sensation on. She whirled around, eyes blazing, muttering something beneath her breath as suddenly something glowed and formed in her hand, becoming a dagger that was held with the blade more then at the ready.
"Did you...did you just..." Oh she was angry. More angry then she was sure she had felt in a very, very long time. She did not know this man, and at the moment could not place him, though if she had to guess she would say he was one of those fools from green.
Without thought, she lashed out, only to have her blade clang off of armor.
Stupid. Stupid! She should have known better. Well, let him take it as a warning shot.
She took in a deep breath, held it, tried to calm herself down before speaking again between gritted teeth.
"Five seconds. You have five seconds to get away from me or I swear to everything I hold dear I will find a c***k in that armor and destroy you."
Somebody was cranky.

Terra looked up at the silver tower, her hands fisting on her dress, her heart pounding heavily in her chest. This was her first chance to prove herself as a stone lion. She was going to, she thought stubbornly. She was going to prove that she was worthy of helping her kingdom.
With that thought she started in, stubbornly intent on getting as much miasma as she could. FOR THE HIVE--/shot
Idly she grabbed a strange rusty key off of the floor before going on.

Terra started up the flight of stairs, trembling slightly with worry, but ignoring it. She listened as closely as she could, hoping her ears would warn her that something would happen before her eyes did. She grunted as a piece of debris fell on her shoulder. With a wince she shoved it off and kept going.

Terra read the sign before heading up the next set of stairs, wondering what exactly it meant. All these fives... it confused her. Instead she just kept climbing, wincing as the debris kept falling on her. She couldn't even run up the stairs as she was prone to in the Red Kingdom. She was certain the stairs wouldn't last, and rushing could be deadly. So she kept going, hoping that the end was soon.
