He should have been reassured. And he was, for a few moments, until he remembered this was a public place, that there was a lead nearby, there were people. He had never seen Harrison quite this cracked up in public - and it was like icy claws flexing in his gut. Some uncertain discomfort, a discord in the world made him fret and anxiety replaced relief.
As Harrison moved away to kiss Jordan, he traced a finger across the back of his hand, exhausted and now afraid of something he couldn't place and didn't understand. It was like when he was a child and his mother would cry and somehow this was wrong, she wasn't allowed to. It upset his world and it had to stop. He wanted this to stop. He wanted to fix things. He felt like he was massively overreacting but he couldn't stop it, he didn't even know if it could be the injuries or the fog that were to blame instead.
Either way he was no good to anyone as he was right now.
He sighed, careful and shallow, resting a hand on the injury he'd sustained in the battle, the blood was dried already. It probably shouldn't have been? He didn't know.
Something was wrong. But it was probably all in his head.
It hurt to move but he rolled onto his side anyway, away from Jordan and Harrison, relieved immensely that Jordan was all right, but somehow right in the heart of him deeply afraid that Harrison was not - and too scared to so much as look his way lest he be proven right.

"Then that makes decisions very easy does it no-"
- The Death lead was cut off abruptly by a lot of shouting. Not the terrified because Horsemen are invading us shouting, but more of the something potentially shocking has happened shouting, though the slight divide between confusion between the two was often and easily mistaken.
"- Deal with this issue." He stalked off towards the source, leaving two potentially confused Death Hunters who kind of just shrugged, realized that it would take effort to move the creatures and just kind of suggested, just maybe on the side that they should really just go home via the still-open portal, look the wouldn't even provide resistance, just go home and please don't ever come back. Please. Oh, and for the Hunters responsible to fill out incident report form 25C...
And standing around a large circle - and larger - forming around them, was Santa Claus.
No really, it was a tall man in a red suit wearing a beard with orange hair peering out from between the gaps of his Santa Hat and -
-"Allan." To say Caelius was annoyed was pretty much just reconfirming the obvious. "I'd appreciate it if you-"
-"No wait, wait wait!" It seemed like everyone today was just totally in the mood of interrupting the Death lead at any and all intervals. 'Santa Claus' opened his bag, and threw a present at Caelius, one wrapped up in pink bunnies and alternating duckies holding candy canes.
Pause. Silence.
"Allan, what-"
"MERRY CHRISTMAS! HO HO HO." 'Santa Claus' then began, at almost a ridiculous rapidfire speed, throwing presents all directions, pretty much to anyone on the field. While most of them contained extremely girly action figures or volume 34 a of manga they hadn't even read yet, some were lucky enough to get a random assortment of Tofu Pocky, Pineapple Ramune, and candycanes that looked like their packaging was made entirely out of rainbow vomit.
At this point Allan had attracted more than enough attention from the whole field - even the Moon and Life Hunters on duty had to crack a smile - just a small one - as Hunters began to trade gifts with each other, in hopes that someone just really wanted Tofu Pocky. It began to snow, just a little, as a pleasant blanket, a wave of actual happiness, swept through the training field.
It felt like someone else was watching them, and maybe they were. A few Moon Hunters could have sworn they say something else, all rainbows and hearts as the fog retracted a little more from the Island and graced the grass with only growing layers of snow.
It looked like it was going to be a white Christmas. OOC -THE NEXT DAY PORTALS ARE UP. It doesn't mean of course, that Hunters are excused from work, in fact, mission reports, surveying on Horsemen, preparing for the worst, so on so forth are on the highest level of alert, but it was always nice to know that someone was probably thinking of them - Happy Holidays Hunters, sometimes you get good endings too - There is also a LIGHT lingering Joy effort, nothing huge maybe just 10% joy. Or 20%. - ALL VISITING STUDENTS: You have been escorted out - including Mei! One of the Hunters is kind enough to explain that unless students can prove themselves useful, especially with information, they really shouldn't interact with other Hunters, and especially not on the main Island regardless of mistakes. Next time, they might not be so lucky, but hey, for the road have a candycane.

....Allan?
Lex left Kat's side for a second, quirking an eyebrow at the large man dressed as Santa. Yes, that was definitely Allan throwing presents with little to no concern of who got what, and Lex had to crack a genuine smile at the man.
Allan had survived...somehow. Now if only Ryan could have the same fate.
Grabbing two presents, both happening to be bottles of Ramune - which Lex just stared at because he had no clue what Ramune even was - he took one back to Kat and lifted the sheet off her face.
"Better get you inside, it's starting to snow." He smiled, gently picking her up - blankets and all. With all the ruckus that was being caused by the Sun lead, they were able to make it into the housing building without notice.

Jerry caught a pack of Pocky in the back of the head, which unfortunately in his weakened state was enough to send him to the ground and stay down.
Thankfully, a moon hunter dragged him off to the infirmary, but had he been coherent, Jerry would have been very happy to see the Taichou.
There was even the box of bizarre cookies waiting for him when he woke up.

Ofelia had barely registered Allan was there before the tech she'd so kindly thrown picked her up and carried her out. It wasn't like there was anything to do anyway, and her bed was waiting for her.

The kiss surprised Jordan, but he wrapped his arms around Harrison and returned it, deeply grateful that they were okay, that the nightmare of the battle and what hadn't happened were done and they were home. Harrison was usually a lot more composed in public; there was a ragged edge to the gesture that made some warning flag trip in Jordan's head, but he couldn't pin it down, not when he was tired and shaken, and maybe it was just that Harrison was tired and shaken too. Later, when they had some time to talk.
He held Harrison close a moment longer before starting to move back towards Rep's cot. And then a commotion started, and even over the general chaos, Jordan could hear Allan's voice. Allan being Santa. As more of the sick worry ebbed away from the pit of his stomach, Jordan had to laugh just a little. "Let's get home," he said. "Is Rep hurt?"

Snow drifted onto their arms, and some of Harrison's desperation ebbed away, buoyed by something warmer. By the time Jordan eased back, his grip had softened, and his hands slid down to hold Jordan's shoulders instead.
He rubbed them gently a couple of times in the growing cold.
Snow on a tropical island. Why not. It reminded him of the first time they'd kissed.
He met Jordan's lips again, briefly, something like an apology for the first one. He let Jordan meander back towards Rep, one hand staying looped around Jordan's shoulder. He felt good all of a sudden. He didn't know what it was. Hope, maybe.
"We got jumped," Harrison said, slowly, "don't think anything's broken."

Rep only looked up from his personal little world of despair and anxiety at a familiar voice, Allan was yelling like Santa and before anyone was even sure what was happening there was a hail of presents. One even landed near his cot, near enough to retrieve carefully and hold onto.
Tracey sounded stressed, none of his usual pleasantness in his tone and he complied as if scolded, simply laying still as the snow started to fall. Snow didn't make sense at all here on the island, and he wondered for a bit as he watched it if he really had gone crazy out there in the fog, if he'd snapped, if he was in some padded cell somewhere or dead on a battlefield.
He didn't understand why he felt happy again any more than he understood why he'd been upset to begin with.
He was too tired to process any of it, bordering on the edge of unconsciousness again as he closed his eyes.

Jordan kept an arm around Harrison as they returned to the cot. Maybe it was the comforting contact that had lifted his mood so easily, or maybe the knowledge that nobody he knew was dead. The snow was nice. Rather cheerful, really.
Rep was quiet when they got there, eyes closed, and Jordan had a half-second of worry before he saw Rep's chest rising and falling steadily. Just sleeping. That was okay, then. "Tracey will take care of it," he said, and nodded a little. "Infirmary?"

Harrison puffed out a sigh.
"He's not gonna like it. But yeah. Infirmary."
He eased the gift Rep was clutching out of his grip, and relocated it safely to Rep's coat pocket. A few gifts had been chucked their way. He ignored a white sparkly box with a pink ribbon for one that was deep blue with a silver ribbon.
He put that one in his own pocket.
"I could use a little time. Before I go back on nursing duty."

"Yeah. I think everyone could use a rest." Jordan leaned over to push a loose strand of hair out of Rep's face. "That was a mess back there. There were three or four on me at once for a while."
