Syl paused mid-chew, then quickly swallowed, smiling. "You're welcome. I.." He stopped himself and nodded, not wanting to accidentally make things weird. "I hope you do."

Her logic reassured him in more ways than one. He nodded, more to himself. "I'd like that. I'd like to be your mate." He had a good feeling that things would go in their favor.
