Dashing out of the food bin as soon as the farmer left, she kicked and pushed at the apples and the carton itself, yelling at Sandbur as she did so.
"You crazy, Inle`-touched doe!"

 He pulled and tugged... and once Althea joined in, he let go and regained a fresh grip on the back, pulling and tugging more! They had to get out of here, and fast! That farmer wasn't going to be gone forever!

Sandbur was shaking inside that crate, eyes pinched tightly shut. She knew she was done for. The apples were too heavy. But then...another rabbit! he was pushing the apples! And another! They were helping her, like taxus had. She had a bit of faith restored in her warren. The words from the other doe...she had known Taxus, then? Or did her reputation preceed her?
NO. THIS WAS NOT WHAT HER MATE WOULD HAVE WANTED. She took the words of the other and turned them into a ball of pure anger. She doubted she would ever hit anything so hard in her life again. She rammed the side of the crate with a triumphant rabbit scream.

 Lamb could hear the commotion coming from the barn. Shots, shouts, thumps... Althea? Perhaps they'd been lucky. But now she had to get the rest of the group to safety. There weren't any dangers in the immediate vicinity, and the shrubbery was coming up. She leaped higher and higher, hoping any stragglers would see her silvery pelt in the night and come this way. As they reached the cover, the doe herded them beneath it. "Right, hutchy friends and my beloved warrenmates- stay here. Especially you, my newly liberated compadres. I'm going to go-" She was going to say "lead the others to safety, too," but shrieks filled the air. Shrieks and barks. Suddenly, she knew what was needed. "I'm going to go make sure those noises don't happen to you."

Fumbling around in the dark, he had no luck finding the rabbit he shot.
Again.
Third time.
Had to be a nightmare.
Giving up, he went to go back into the barn. Now THERE was a rabbit that wasn't going to run away. He'd either have a nice super or he'd know he really was dreaming.

Pepper kicked a crate knocking it so that it caused a bunch of fuss and knocked a pitchfork at the farmer. With that distraction he had Aythi up and was rushing her into a nearby hiding spot where they could lay low until everything blew over.

Go?! Althea didn't have to shout that twice!
With Fray so lusciously spilling out amidst Sandburr's freedom, Blackbirch snatched one up and bolted out the door towards the others. If anything, he wasn't going to leave the barn or this mission empty pawed!

 Sandbur shook herself when the crate turned over. She knew now that the rabbits of her down weren't spineless. Some of them were like him. That was what she had gone on this whole raid for...she had to let go of her hatred for the warren she lived in. There were still some good rabbits left.
She pushed after her, out the door, her old body still in a good fighting spirit. And for the first time in many months, a smile pulled at her lips as she bounded after Althea and Blackbirch. Thankfully, she still had the beans strung around her neck.

Aythi barley realised what had happened before she felt a strange warmness creep inside her and an odd pang in her hind leg. Her world spun and momentarily went black. When she woke up, she was in a bush with Pepper and little strength to ask what had happened. Inle... have you come for me? she thought to herself before letting herself fall limp, the only thing she concentrated on was breathing.

If you're desperate to kill off your rabbit, there's a dog loose in team two that's about to rip up some fur. x.x
Other than that, head back to the warren. I'll roll for the hutchies and flay-rah AFTER everything closes.
