Gene scrawled her name on the clipboard, about as excited as the dog boil who had apparently ran really fast to get here was. Baked goods. She totally noticed mister dog boil being a spectator, but shrugged it off. To each his own, right?
"Xiu! When's our first meeting going to be? I'm incredibly excited for this!" There was so squealing, maybe even a little bouncing. One step closer to owning her own cafe' and quitting Bloodbucks for good.

Belladonna was in a rage. And the answer to all rages was definitely baking. Except the witch had only baked a handful of times, mostly unsuccessful. The last thing she had baked had turned out perfectly, but had been soiled by a variety of occurrences. Recalling this as the witch grabbed at a handful of ingredients and haphazardly threw them into a mixing bowl. Well, haphazard was being kind. Honestly she chucked them in with all the anger of a slightly jilted ghoul. She grumbled and mumbled and angrily growled to herself as she mixed the batter and dumped them into a tray. Then she tossed them in the oven, waited about... Oh seven minutes and yanked them back out. The fact that they were still mostly batter didn't even bother her. She'd made them, jackdammit!

With a clatter the witch dropped the pan of melty cupcakes onto the counter. A bit of batter splashed on the counter, but she ignored it in favor of grabbing more ingredients. OK. Icing. What kind of icing would go well with... Wait, what flavor cupcakes had she made? In her angry haste Belladonna hadn't really paid attention to what she was doing and thus had failed to realize what flavor she'd made. Pink eyes wandered over to her bubbly batter, which had a cream colored sheen. That meant vanilla, right? So that meant... Um.... Strawberry? Ick, no. Better still with candy corn because nothing ever went wrong with candy corn flavored anything. Somehow the confusion over flavor managed to momentarily temper the witch's anger and she was able to produce something that actually looked (and tasted!) like honest to goodness icing. Thank Jack for that, at least.

THERE. They were done. And garnished. And done. And they looked.... Somewhat edible. As Belladonna presented the cupcakes to both Xiu and Junko, she could not help the rather grumpy look on her face. Baking hadn't helped. Not one bit! Final Score: 57!

After the dread, pardon, fright night, the priestess shoud have remembered once and forever: she should not cook. Never. By no chance, in no circumstances. But of course, Heidla failed with this simple task: she was prone to be a a BIG BOSS winner when it was something serious, but tended to fail miserably in small things, like that.
So, baking she was encouraged to try, didn't even start well: her so-called cupcakes were clearly undercooked. But that's all right, she decided, let them be soft and creamy.

Oh Heidla! Surely, her cupcakes were going to be creamy, if not actually buttery. The curds and marmalade she mixed together attempting to produce some sort of icing merged together in a little snowball: apparently it could be anything, but icing.

Her decorative skills were no better: she tried to take an inspiration from the Conquest aesthetics, but she seriously lacked the skills to do so. In the end her cupcake resembled some kind of abstract painting that posh Halloweeners were buying for their residences... but it was still far better than Heidla anticipated.

Baking? Oh... hmm... Anna wasn't sure about signing up for the club, but she definitely wanted to try to make something. Vanilla spice... yes! They had a recipe! Eagerly, Anna grabbed a recipe card and went over to an empty cooking unit. She followed the recipe carefully, assembling all the ingredients into the bowl, and stirring carefully. All the while, feelings of nostalgia flooded her mind, though held at one remove - it had been the other Anna who had baked with her mother. Still, the shadow of those emotions remained.
She poured out the batter into the cupcake pan, then put it in the oven and sat down to wait. And wait. Finally, after what seemed like forever, she pulled them out of the oven.
Hmm. They seemed a little gooey, but not too bad...

Icing time! Oh, she loved icing. Eagerly, she dumped in sugar. And stirred. And then more sugar. And then more sugar, because sugar made it so good...
... and so cement-like. The wooden spoon moved slower and slower until it stopped. Uh-oh...

Well, whatever! She'd do her best. After a few minutes Anna had managed to get some bits of icing slabbed onto her cupcakes. Fortunately, there were all kinds of sprinkles and toppings to hide the monstrosity...
Hey! Not half bad. People might even eat it!

The baku was clearly very happy to have yet another friend sign up for the club, but she resisted the urge to fling her arms around Gene, humming thoughtfully at the question. "Hopefully not too long after Spirit Week. I'll need to talk to Junko, but with luck, we can call the first meeting...maybe a week after all of this ends?" She and Junko would have to plan the first club activity, but hopefully a week would be enough to prepare everything.
"I'm really glad that you're interested in baking though!"

Danny disappeared the moment Gene showed up.
No way she was embarrassing herself in front of more people than neccessary.

"Mm, yeah! I'm going to need to know how to bake if I want to own a cafe', eventually." She tied an apron on, and began to mix away, deciding on chocolate.
When she took them out of the oven, the cupcakes were a bit rubbery. That was okay though...for the most part. Not marketable, though. Boooo.

Own a cafe--
The baku's eyes suddenly lit up, her tail waving behind her a mile a minute as she moved to stand beside Gene. "You too?!" She asked in excitement, beaming, "I was thinking of opening one up after I graduate! I mean, I love making my own tea blends, and baking is..." With a little laugh, she made a vague gesture towards their surroundings.
But no, seriously. Someone with the same goal!
