Though he wasn't the only one whom had come up with same feeling. Something wasn't right with this fight, they might want blood, but most animal's instincts can pick up things that shouldn't be ...., and those two felt the foul touch of something that wasn't quite right.

Even as he recalled his pokemon ..the two would turn ...and without warning would move to run away.

It would be the first time, anyone would see two pokemon ....take off running at exactly the same time.

Run away

The Meowth's claws would sheathe ...she looked at Ada in puzzlement.

(You can understand us?)

Throughout the fight, she had thought ...they both had thought that the human didn't understand. It was why she still fought to protect her partner after the call for peace had been decided by the Chimchar, and then she would start to laugh.

(If only everyone had known .....)

She would shake her head only once.

(You can't help me ...I won't be touch by a human, and I won't follow you either.)

She would growl out the words, but then lick the head of her partner kindly. She would uncurl and look Ada in the eyes.

(It's closer to the exit if you go forward than ...back ..take her there. Get her help ...I probably won't see her again, but take good care of her. If she wishes to be wild still, then ...tell her to burn the grass in front of the tunnel.

I will find her again ...if not ....)

She licked her head again.

(I understand)

The pokemon still didn't move, but, if Ada got closer she would see the damage much clearly ...a black eye, but, it wasn't just there there was wounds all over her body, but the most obvious were there on her legs and around her back and bottom. It was almost too painfully clear what had happen, and as the Meowth would back away ....the whites of her legs would show the same wounds.

Though there was still a fire in the Meowth's eyes that wouldn't fade, she couldn't live with humans. She was wild, and she was willing to accept the good and bad with it.

The same couldn't have been said of her partner.

She was too kind for this sort of a life.

The cat would move backwards ...enough to let her get her partner, and in that same space if she was given the room would flee the broken car. She would leave it to Ada and the Chimchar.

When both parties chose to flee regardless of the odds there was only one outcome possible. While Raven ran one way, the Numel and Sandile ran the other. Distance would develop swiftly between them, and soon each would disappear from the other's sight. Only when he was certain of their absence would Raven remove Fable's ball from his sword, his clothing and body returning to normal. Then alone would he resume his original steady stride through the tunnel, eyes wary of his surroundings.

It would seem that their fight had attached attention, this time as he moved along ...a hole would suddenly open up where his foot might have been placed. A trap of sorts ...as one opponent would appear from the air, while the other would come from the ground itself ....as they both glare daggers at him.

A Sandshrew would appear, and it's opposite, a Gligar would drop down from the ceiling.

This was going to be a very interesting fight indeed as they both glare at him.

Ada would stroke the earpiece like pokedex she was wearing when the meowth reminded her that there was usually a language barrier, as if to say "this thing". In fact, the eyepiece would have popped out if it weren't for a quick relocation of her fingertips, as she'd bring her hand back down to her lap. Best keep them in plain sight when in a situation like this.

She'd listen to the meowths terms, nodding in agreement as the feline spoke. The magician, not wishing to argue with the cat further and knowing well that she wouldn't be able to get the normal type somewhere safe no matter how much she tried, would be more than happy to hear that at least the Chimchar would be allowed to go with her.

"I understand"

She'd say it plainly and clearly, and she'd simply watch as the Meowth would leave, wincing as she saw the damage on the chimchar. It was harsh, but nothing that couldn't be treated in some form, and Ada would take the chimp pokemon gently in her arms, brushing the egg still cradled between strips of her own tied-up hair to the side to make room.

The magician would crawl out in much the same careful manner she had before, only using one arm if she had to and taking it slow and easy. Eventually she'd make it back to the opening, and she'd straighten up, tip-toeing back onto solid ground and looking back and forth. Not much to see, and no threat imminent. With that, she'd begin to walk towards the exit, cradling the chimchar in her arms and taking light steps to keep her from moving unecessarily.

Raven released an audible sigh. From one battle straight into another, and the odds were that this battle would once more be on entirely equal footing. Normally this should have been something which excited him, a true and proper test of his prowess in battle...but their train had been derailed, and every second he was delayed he fell behind the other students. This, there was very likely no escaping this, and unlike before he didn't have that faint desire which dragged him away from the combat.

Placing a hand upon his belt Raven would once more call out Genn and Diabound, the pair the best combination for what he was presently facing.

As he did at the beginning of ever battle the Steelix would bellow, the sudden appearance of his weight causing the ground to shudder and shake. Red eyes gleamed as he spotted their next opponents. True children of the earth just like himself! Oh the endlessly possibilities this could bring!

Arriving with a flash of light, Diabound's mask would clatter and skip across the ground, flying into the air as it struck a stone. Unlike before however once it reached the pinnacle of it's assent a pair of black arms would stretched out, a wide maw appearing with a yawn. It would seem the spectre had chosen to be a little more physically present then in his prior battles.

Pokemon: Steelix [M]
Name & Level: Genn, Lv 8
[Temperament] Hasty
Bio: Raven met with this Onix while making his way through Clockwork Cavern. An Area Guardian, his charge was evidently a Magnemite the boy had recently passed. Believing Raven a threat, the Onix attacked immediately. Raven seeing qualities he liked in the Pokemon, and after suffering some minor damage while battling against Fable, the Onix was quickly captured. An act he made no move to fight against. Quick to make his decisions, Genn rarely listens to Raven in battle, having chosen his next action before the child even has a moment to speak.

Pokemon: Yamask [M]
Name & Level: Diabound , Lv 5
[Temperament] Lax
Bio: Born in an era long forgotten, to a culture left in ruin, Diabound isn't particularly forthcoming about his human past, nor his original name. Only one factor is truly clear about his former life, the fact he was a Thief. Even now after untold centuries that fact remains true. Though outwardly a lazy stooge seemingly incapable of such deeds. Diabound is constantly on the lookout for anything deemed valuable...or potentially so. When he finds such a thing the Yamask will lazily proceed towards the target, using a mask of lacklustre or even moronic behaviour to swipe the item on the sly. More often then not by the time one notices the object is missing it is too late, and they will doubtless never see it again!

The moment that she step clear of the car ...two shapes would peel away from underneath. One followed with a deadly intent in it's eyes, while the other moved in it's wake. They both could see weakness, and those two had been their targets for their own aggression. Now that target had changed ...as the Nidoran m would follow quickly afterwards, and behind him would move the Swinub. The smaller pokemon would continue to travel afterwards .....as they rushed to try and catch up and cut around to the front.

For the moment, Ada had avoided a direct battle, but those two would be looking for their chance.

The Sandshrew would draw her claws as she saw her opponents suddenly being brought to the forefront. Her tail would swish as she looked up at Genn ...a pokemon worth fighting.

She would smile hugely. A pokemon worth fighting .....she would look over at her own partner as the Gligar looked at her and gave a downcast look. He knew she was going to want to battle now no matter what when presented with such fighters ....as he would stand beside her.

Forever and ever.

He would remind himself .....as they prepared.

(Let's give them our warm welcome ......)

She would declare with her claws ripping from the earth as she would fling sand from the tips of her claws at the Steelix, while her mate would do the same mirroring her at the Yamask.

Giving a slightly exaggerated crack of his neck, Raven would look upon his opponents with a gaze which normally would have been considered cold, were it not for the simple fact that his red eyes blazed at the very concept of combat. Licking his lips briefly like a predator before it's orey, Raven would look from the Gligar to the Sandshrew, the PokeDex screen appearing before his left eye to provide all the details.

"Genn counter the Sandshrew with Ice Fang! Diabound follow his lead by using Energy Ball!" Raven commanded sharply with a wave of his arm, cloak billowing behind him like some great general in the midst of combat. He was neither aware of this appearance of course, nor intending it. Despite his detest for the dramatics of nobles it seemed some things came to one quite naturally.

">Gahahaha! ALRIGHT!<" Genn laughed in reckless mirth, his beady eyes focusing on the Sandshrew ">Be sure to put on a good show!<" Tail slamming against the ground, the excitement of the Steelix was written clearly across his face, even as ice began to form in his mist filled maw. Icicles like deadly fangs took shape over his hard ridged molars, and with a wild cry the Steel-Type plunged forward, intending to give the Sandshrew a taste of his power!

Arms outstretched for an instant, Diabound would give a lazy roll of his shoulder, followed by the overly dramatic cracking of his knuckles. In every possible way the ghost seemed to be taking his time as he did a series of stretches that couldn't possibly be necessary given his lack of muscles, tendons, or for that matter bones. Considering the fact alone that he was a Yamask sand wasn't exactly something which particularly bothered, nor concerned him. The fact he'd been a desert dweller before that didn't hurt either.

After his stretching was completely the Yamask would drop to the floor...and take a nap. At the very least, back against the crowd and eyes closed, he certainly appeared to be taking a nap; but the unwary would miss a key thing. Laying in this position one of his hands, the very tips of his fingers would flatten against the ground, snaking across it like a shadow until it slipped into that of the Sandshrew. Disappearing into the darkness the hand would begin to gather what little nutrients it could pull from the soil, making use of any available light around it, condensing it into a shifting sphere of lifeforce. An Energy Ball intended to strike the Sandshrew from the back as Genn took her from the front!

(-1 to accuracy roll for Genn)

The roar of the Steelix would have her smiling dangerously as she saw him coming and sent the sand in his face. He wouldn't be hitting her this time .....as her partner would look on in a bit of confusion. His opponent had chosen something completely different, a nap?

For all sake and purpose, he would simply drop the sand in his claw. It wasn't like he had a reason to throw it ...with an opponent that wasn't even bothering to attack.

She would smile dangerously ...as she saw that the pokemon would miss his attack as the sand connected, but the smile dropped as something hit from behind her. The blast would send her flying forward as she rolled one and then come to a stop.

The pokemon that had been pretending like it had been asleep ...had had another plan in mind it would seem as the sandshrew would hit the ground once, and then come to a stop. She was still in a ball as she went on a defensive stance.

One that the Gligar would also take advantage of ....as he would jump for the ceiling.

((This has been bugging me all day since I spotted it before I left for work but didn't have the time to point it out. You did the math incorrectly for the damage. Granted you did clearly note that the Sandshrew was the target, but you used the roll and stats of the Gligar. The math should have gone something like this...))

(14 - 6) + (12 - 1) = 9 x 2 = 18 DMG

Sandshrew HP:
8

[-1 TO SANDSHREW'S SP-DEF]

Pain would wrack the Sandshrew's body a moment later, her nerves taking time to full grasp the severity of her wounds and causing a delayed reaction. This was far from over however as Raven snapped his fingers, direction one out streched hand in the general direction of the Sandshew "Strike her again. Ice Fang and Energy Ball!" Raven commanded sharply. He wasn't going to waste the chance which currently presented itself. Granted the Sandshrew proved far more competent at defending herself then fighting, but she was still the weakest link in the chain, and so that was precisely where he would strike!

Pulling his head out of the dirt where it had been lodged, Genn would look upon the Sandshrew with eyes which glinted like diamonds. Tail swaying behind him, the Steelix would suddenly strike out with the massive limb, attempting to swat the Sandshrew into the wall across from them where a stone jutted out at an odd angle. If his aim was right she'd ricochet off the wall and back toward them but higher. Assuming that he'd struck at least that much of the mark the Steelix then opened his ice filled maw; that's right, he intended to bounce the Sandshrew straight into his Ice Fang!

Diabound would simply right from the ground, scratching at his nose as if he'd gotten a piece of sand stuck in it. Wiggling it this way and that the Yamask would begin to tilt his head back as if he were about to sneeze...and he was, when the ghost next moved forward it would be with a ground shaking ">AAAACHOOOO!<" A spray of blue-green snot flying into the air. The oddity was that the snot didn't simply crash into the ground, but arced toward the Sandshrew, the cloud of mucus gathering together...condensing...it was no mere cloud of nose-juice, but a cleverly disguised Energy Ball! If Genn failed to lay his frozen maw upon the Sandshrew, she was almost certain to be struck crochet style but this sphere of glimmering energy!

Ada wouldn't even think twice about ignoring the duo she has seen pass. No need to pick fights now, if not for the life of the chimchar than for the simple fact that she didn't want to keep her teammates and teacher waiting. So, she'd continue to stride on, trying her best to keep a good pace so she could reach the end soon.

Come to think of it, how were the rest of her teammates? She had briefly seen Raven awhile back before they were both teleported here, but she never once saw Tsuki. While she didn't personally care much for him, as a teammate she had to wonder if he had made it out of this mess alright. Barney too, though judging by the note he was more than likely fine. Could have ended up with a scratch or two, but it wouldn't be surprising considering what she saw of the train.

No, everyone was probably fine, she was sure of it. They could all put up a heck of a fight, so they wouldn't go down so easy!

There was a very subtle difference in lighting now as Ada kept walking, which meant she'd be nearing the entrance any time now. Which was perfect, absolutely, because the faster she got there the less time she'd bother her companions with doing personal business. She'd press on, hoping to make it to the end undisturbed.

come to think of it, were they just going to leave that mess there, too? It would be unprofessional to just abandon a broken train and a whole track with it. How do you go about cleaning that up, though? Besides the physical remains, there were also the memories of the crash. The company that owned it would have to deal with the paranoia of train goers passing through that area that remembered the crash, via word of mouth, TV or otherwise. It would take a lot to cover up something like this, and she was sure it would take a toll on the owners future profits.

Not good, not at all...but then again, the only experience she had with this was small business, if the company was large enough they could just go by unharmed for all she knew.
