EXPLORE THE PASSAGEWAY
There were no ends here, it seemed. Just short turns. This had been the longest Akithor had trailed off through the maze of turns and strides. When he did finally come to an end, it was peculiar.

Exploring But Dun Wanna
Faysal continued to successfully fend off dead ends, feeling weirdly proud of himself as he did so. It was a petty reason for triumph, perhaps, but he'd take it.

Exploring But Dun Wanna - SUCCESS
And then... there were other students standing around in the dark by a dead end? Oh, fantastic. Faysal glared at them all (inasmuch as he could see them) and considered plunging back into the corridors again, but...
Jack that. He was going to stay right here at least for a while. The shadhavar propped himself up against a wall and folded his arms over his beautifully sculpted chest, allowing his mane to fall artistically over his face. Yep.

[ EXPLORING ]
The red dots were unusual - and they smelled rather unpleasant; a thin, coppery, metallic sort of scent that was not related to the blood that the undead bled - nor was it even the same color.
Unusual, thought Jinhai, as he stood just outside the library. Very unusual.
Under normal circumstances, he would not have even bothered. It was none of his business, after all - this was not part of his normal schoolwork, and he did not really see the point in performing a wild minipet chase around the school - but at the same time, an odd sort of nagging curiosity was tugging at the corners of his mind. Perhaps he had been focusing on schoolwork for too long.
Either way, Jinhai moved along with the rest of the students who were following the red dot trail, as silent and brooding as ever as he stepped into the restricted section of the library, and then into...
...well, he wasn't sure what it was, exactly, but it seemed to be a passageway of sorts. Jinhai stepped cautiously down into it, frowning a little in the darkness. This seemed a little silly, coming down without a flashlight or some other source of light - what had he even been thinking?
He wondered where Kato, Dis, and Brock were.

Yari met several other students in the passageway that followed, although It didn't bother to speak to them. Perhaps they were all on the right track? Continuing with its 'main branch' theory, there did not seem to be many ways to meet a dead end here with the alcoves being so shallow. Its eyes narrowed as it approached what seemed to be a large group of very confused Halloweeners.

exploring - fin
The red dots seemed to end suddenly at a long, bare wall. Certainly this had to be another secret passageway? The demon rubbed Its hands across the stone, trying to find any detail that could be pulled, pushed, prodded or levered to open the wall. Unfortunately, it seemed as if everyone else had the same idea. When nothing budged, Yari took the time to sidle up beside another lit student and inspect the wall. It seemed so flat, just an empty expanse, but it smelled like something that filled the ice demon with dread. The ocean. Oceans meant beach which meant sun and hot sand and-- well, now wasn't the time to worry. The real question was: why in the world did a dead end smell like some other land?

It was too dark. Jinhai squinted in the near blackness, wondering how stupid he was being for walking into an unknown passageway without any sort of provisions. But he seemed to not be walking into anything, and there were others students this way and that, which mean that he wasn't the only one here.
Jinhai reasoned with himself that this was just another piece of homework - just a more hands-on type of homework.

"Tex," He greeted, still wearing his poker face, his voice still as even as ever. He looked at the way that the cowboil reaper had came, and then shook his head, "We left the way out on the way in." It was a good thing he liked getting into trouble; it helped his 'cool' image - or so he hoped. He would hate for them to be barred from graduation though... They went through all that trouble to set up a booth, after all.
He frowned, tapping at the wall, "I'm assuming that you kept running into dead ends too?"[ Turn 1Roll 1: Fail | Roll 2: Pass Turn 2Roll 3: Fail ]

...a homework assignment that had him running into a dead end, it seemed. Jinhai frowned a bit in the darkness, his hands running over something solid blocking his path. He disliked not being able to see very clearly - where was a flashlight when he needed one? - but he merely took a few steps backwards and backtracked his steps.
And contemplated all the ways he was blaming Kato, Dis, and Brock for this.

Thankfully, Jinhai managed to navigate himself away from that dead end, and move onto the next passageway without much incident - though he still could not see a single thing, other than a few lighter shadows here and there. He maneuvered himself around a wall, feeling his way away from another dead end, tail slithering along the ground behind him.
He really hoped there was nothing...unnatural on the floor...

Unfortunately for Jinhai, he managed to bypass one dead end, only to run into another. Making a soft, disgruntled noise and rubbing his nose, he took a few steps backwards, felt along the wall, and attempted to get back into one of the other passageways.

[[ Explore the passageway ]]
Victory was about to lobby for their staying put: as a Tylwyth Teg, he well knew the dangers of taking the hidden path. After all, that was one of the methods by which they had kidnapped humans, in the tales told to him by his family. He was neither eager to be kidnapped, nor particularly well-dressed for a kidnapping. In fact, he was still faintly coated in slime, and his clothing was in tatters.
As a fairly vain demon, Victory was not entirely pleased about his current state. So long as he could wash his hair soon, he would likely survive the unpleasantness. He kept his complaining to a minimum by whining incessantly internally. Perhaps that vampire, wherever she was, would be of some use in this challenge.
He didn't really get a chance to do any of these things, however; he was too busy trying not to lose sight of Ava and Avery. He reached out for one of their hands, though he wasn't sure which of the two he was grabbing at or if he'd even reach far enough.
Time to explore, apparently. He seemed to keep track of Ava well enough for the first turn, even if it was vastly dark...

Another dead end. Jinhai made another disgruntled sounding noise in his head, proceeded to think about all the things he would threaten to do to his...friends (if he could even think of them as such - sometimes he wasn't quite sure what they were...) and then wouldn't actually do to them.

And then Jinhai came to the conclusion that he was completely and utterly lost.
It was certainly annoying, he thought, as he stood in the darkness that surrounded him like a thick black cloud of nothingness. Where on earth was he? And why had he decided to do this in the first place? There was only the soft whispers that kept invading his head; the quite, gentle soothing voice that he couldn't quite decipher, but sounded as though it needed him, somehow.
Jinhai pulled out his phone, squinting at the screen. The light was much too dim to provide any sort of light whatsoever in regards to being a makeshift flashlight, and the battery was low, close to dying - but it was enough to type out a short text message:lilwolfpard I'm stuck.

[[ Explore the passageway ]]
Victory couldn't help it. As he wandered through the darkness, holding onto what he hoped was one of his friends, he started to whistle one of the Tylwyth Teg folk songs. One for travel. It was easier for him, then, to find his footing and keep going. He wanted to reach out and brush one hand along what he thought was the wall, but didn't for fear of groping someone's face or touching something equally unpleasant.
Where were they headed, in the dark? "I hope somewhere with showers... the water kind, the hot water kind," Victory said, with a heavy sigh. Even if his friends couldn't hear him... he sincerely hoped that they were nearby. The notion that they could hear him at all made him feel better. He wasn't the best fighter in the world, but he could put on his serious-face if the ones he had grown to care for were in trouble. The usual.
Victory progressed through the dark, trying his best not to hit his head on anything.
