She wasn't going to bother trying to catch it. She already had a normal type on her team and didn't feel the need to add another no matter how versatile. "Just Tackle the thing and hope that it goes away," Lee instructed Twiggy without much enthusiasm. The Turtwig nodded and charged the rat without connecting a hit. It had already scampered off. With a nod of approval Lee recalled her turtle and bird. "Don't worry," Larry responded. "If I stayed up, Nurse Joy would probably kick me out. And I brought a sleeping anyway. Wait...you're taking on a gym leader?" After saying this, Larry instinctively took out his Poké Dex. He wanted to see how powerful a Pokémon had to be before they stood a chance against a gym leader.
Scanning Mudkip, Larry's eyes grew wide when he saw his level. "12!" Larry said in surprise. His own Snivy was only 5, so if he wanted a 12, he'd have to make her go up 7 levels. That seemed like a lot of work, but Larry was willing to do it.
Larry felt his stomach to see if it wanted food. At first it said nothing and Larry was about to just head for bed. However, it would soon let out a loud growl that everyone around would surely here. "Belly needs food," Larry said like a cave man. "Must eat food or risk death." Sunny seemed fine with idea of food too, but all the little Snivy would get is a bowl of Pokémon food and maybe so berries if she was lucky.
Walking forward, Larry would walk like a robot, literally, to the cafeteria. Why he did this was anyone's guess.

Larry was weird. But it seemed like he'd stay quiet and sleep. Considering how the kid said he was nocturnal, he was half expecting Larry to pull something like a Vampire and stay up all night watching him. Which would totally be creepy, by the way. Don't do it, Larry. It did seem like food was a good idea, so he followed Larry to the cafeteria. He grabbed a plate for himself and six bowls and a tray before filling them all up with food for himself and Pokemon Food for his Pokemon. Looking around, he found a table. Once he set the tray of food down on the table, he let out his Pokemon to feed them. When Larry finally got to the cafeteria, he stopped his weird walk and looked around. The food here looked like it had been made by angels. In Larry's mind, he heard a choir singing. "Haaaaaaa." Running towards the food, Larry grabbed a plate before scurring towards the table. However, he didn't go to the table. He went to the window.
Dropping the plate on the ground, Larry forced open the window and climbed in. Picking up his plate, he put it on his lab and leaned back so that he was staring at the moon. Don't ask why he did that...Larry was just crazy weird like that. Most likely he did it because he liked to see the moon while he ate. Sunny watched this in shock. She knew Larry was crazy, but she didn't think he was this crazy.
"Calm down," Larry reassured his Snivy and anyone else watching. "I do this all the time...sometimes 3 times a week." With that said, Larry shovelled his food into his upside down mouth. When all was gone, Larry finally came out the window and shut it behind him.

Graham watched as Larry went over to the window... and opened it. What the hell. Could the windows be opened like that? So wait, they weren't sealed shut with duct tape, meaning that this wasn't a closed room anymore? Curse you Erika Furode for not sealing the place up properly! D8< But regardless, yeah, Larry was a real weirdo. "Dot dot dot." said Graham, speaking the onomatopoeia before he went back to his meal. It wasn't long before he finished and his Pokemon finished eating, so he recollected the used dishes before calling everyone back to their Pokeballs. Heading for the trash can, Larry threw the glass dinner plate away stupidly. By now people were staring at Larry like he was crazy, which he was. However, he was the type of crazy who was just weird and not insane. Walking out of the cafeteria, Larry would head to the bedrooms now. All that food had made him tired. "Grayman!" Larry called back as he left. "C'mon Grayman! I'm talking to you Graham of course." It might have been unclear, but this "Grayman" was obviously a nickname Larry had given Graham.
After a casual stroll, Larry would come across the rooms and suddenly stop. He needed Graham for this both because he had the key & Larry couldn't tell the rooms apart. Which one did Grayman have the key to? Larry had no idea.

... Grayman? What, no D. before it? Lame. He was not gray nor graying. He had plenty of color. Larry led the way for some reason, despite not having the room key and ultimately had to rely on Graham. Graham stopped outside of their room and unlocked the door with the room key. There were a pair of beds, across from each other on opposing walls. It was kind of like a dorm room in that sense. Well, looked like Larry wouldn't have to take the floor. That was too bad. Well, whatever. He set his bag down on one of the beds before he sat down on it. It was alright. Not too firm, not too soft. He would have preferred if it was a little softer, but that couldn't be helped. He glanced over his shoulder at Larry. "Come on. Larry stood in the doorway a little while as he looked over the room. It had two beds so Larry wouldn't sleep on the floor, but besides that it looked like your average everyday room. "Homey," Larry said, walking towards a bed. Sitting down, Larry found the mattress a little softer than what he was used too-the outside floor. Laying back on the bed, Larry just stared at the ceiling a while. He was about to shut his eyes when he remembered his unnamed Hoothoot.
"Oh yea," Larry said, taking out his Pokéballs. "Can't sleep just yet." Throwing the balls in the air, out popped Pepper and Noname. "'Ello gov'na," Larry said to the Hoothoot. "The name's Larry and I'll be your trainer if that's all right with you. Now then, a name..." Larry paused, hesitant about asking his question. "Male or female?" he asked, covering himself for an attack. However, the Hoothoot didn't attack and answered simply.
"Male," Larry said immediately. "Alright gals, say 'ello to your new brother. Think I'll call him... Night." Hoothoot seemed indifferent to the naming as he began to talk with Sunny and Pepper. It wasn't until they'd finished that Larry remembered about Graham. "Oh sorry," he said. "Sunny, Pepper, Night, time to take your naps. I'm hoping that you'll be able to wake us at the break of dawn Night."
The Hoothoot simply nodded before closing his eyes and going into sleep mode. Sunny and Pepper soon followed his lead, falling asleep leaning against one another. Larry was the very last to sleep, closing his eyes as if he was in a coma.

Graham brushed his teeth in the bathroom and changed into his pajamas before heading to bed. Larry was still talking to his Pokemon. He could only hope that Larry would go to bed or something. As he climbed into the bed, he reached out to turn off the lights before setting his glasses down on the nightstand. "Hoothoot!Hoothoot!Hoothoot!Hoothoot!" The sounds of a screaming Night woke Larry up from his pleasant dream of froliking in the flowers with a Gastly evolution line. Forgetting he was a Pokémon and not an actual clock, Larry slammed his fist on Night as he would have done on a normal clock. The hoothoot staggered from the blow before falling face first on the ground. All the while, Larry just said sleepily, "nine more minutes mom." The rest of his team followed his lead and went back to sleep as well. They were completely unaware of the now shining sun outside.

Morning had come far too quickly. It especially did not help that Larry's Hoothoot was apparently programmed to wake the boy up five or so minutes before T.T. was. And while Night took a blow from his own Trainer, the bird would soon find a pillow flung at it to further shut it up. With a groan, Graham sat up on the bed, rubbing his eyes. He honestly didn't feel the slightest bit rested. Probably from the random dream he had of fighting that Gyarados from back in Sootopolis. Only just before he was about to win, seven other Gyarados appeared and they all merged together to form some Yamata no Orochi-like creature, only with Gyarados bodies. And dammit if one Gyarados was bad enough, imagine fighting eight at once, all firing Hyper Beams everywhere like it was some downgraded version of Grazon that fired beams rather than black holes. It took him a little while to wake up (even T.T. made a brief appearance to make sure he was awake) before Graham got up to shower and get ready. When he stepped out of the bathroom after his shower, wearing only a clean pair of pants and a towel around his shoulders, he took a look at Larry. Seemed like the guy was gonna keep sleeping, and his Hoothoot was still out like a light. With a sigh as he shook his head, he dried off his hair before getting dressed and putting on his glasses. "Gengar...use...Night Beam," Larry mumbled as he slept. "Whadoya mean can't use Night Beam...blow...darkness screams." After that short speech, he'd return to snoring. He stayed in this state until Sunny woke up. As if they were clones, both of them woke up at the same time, yawning. "Aba wha-" he said sleepily. Unlike Sunny, there was a bit of drool on the side of Larry's face.
Wiping his eyes, he remembered where he was. "Oh yeah," he said, hopping off the bed. Rushing towards the bathroom after Graham finished, Larry took a long shower before coming out all dressed and ready to go. "Cleanliness is next to adventurness," Night said, drying his hair. "And I'm gonna have another adventure. Am I right Sunny?" The Snivy wasn't looking at him. In fact, she wasn't even in the room. She was outside, sunbathing.
"Sun freak," Larry said, putting on his black cap. "Welp, I think it's time I got back to the woods." Stretching for a moment, Larry would go jumping out the window. However, he'd return to the windowsill moments later. "You comin' Grayman?" he asked, knowing the trainer had his gym battle and everything.

Aww, Larry woke up. And here Graham wanted to try out Kippers's Water Gun to wake him up. It seemed like he had some weird dreams. Once Larry was ready, it looked like he was going to jump out the window, getting an unamused look from Graham. Why couldn't this guy use the door like a regular person. Hell, it almost looked like this guy was a thief or something, the way he was active most at night and used windows to move about. And didn't he have a fascination with Ghost-type Pokemon? Most suspicious. "Don't forget your Hoothoot." Graham said, pointing out the feathers underneath the pillow. "I'll probably get some breakfast before I head out for a little more training before taking on the Gym. I can't catch anything though, unfortunately. Larry nearly fell out of the windowsill when Graham reminded him about Night, and he eventually did two seconds later. Getting up as if he hadn't just fell from the 2nd floor window, Larry would circle around the building. What Graham would hear was someone running up the stairs before finding Larry bursting through the door. "Almost forgot," he said running to his Pokémon. Pepper had been left behind too and wasn't happy about that. Flying towards Larry, the bird started pecking angrily at Larry.
"Oww," Larry said, swatting at the bird. "Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ahhhhh!" That was the sounds of Larry falling backwards and out the window. "Owwwwwwww!" Larry shouted from below. Pepper seemed satisfyied now and flew happily out the window to greet her friend Sunny. Meanwhile, Grayham would hear the running up the stairs again before Larry came in. "Ow," he said, walking to his Hoothoot.
Picking up Night, Larry tucked him under his arm like a football before launching out the window again. "I'll be outside until then," he said back to Graham before he went sailing through the window and crashing face first in the ground.
