Gabrielle tilted her head, confused. "But . . . you can be free. Why do you not hide from trainers who wish to capture you? Why do you not stay away from these humans?" She lowered her head, saying in a quieter tone, "You could escape from everyone, so that you don't have to feel what they do, O powerful one." Belle glanced over to the Ralts, who was evidently still talking to Miato. She jumped when she heard his voice in her mind again - oh. So he could hear her. That was both concerning and delightful - on one hand, he had access to her mind, but on the other, that could mean that he could access it at any time. Oh, well. She trusted her Fuzzylumpkins. "I just wanted to say hi~ How long have you been able to do that? Talk to people like that I mean?" She didn't know if he could hear her now - maybe it was like a phone connection? Max chuckled a bit at Dante’s reaction to the brohug. “The nurse told me to check the roof to make sure no one was causing any damage up here. As for being in Blysse City area…” Max thought for a quick moment. There was no way he would tell Dante that he came he to bounce a few battles of the noobs for a quick test. His tests were too tough. Max snapped out of his thoughts with an excellent comeback. “I came on a trip to the store to get some TMs. A Tm for Swords dance to be exact. Animus needs it.” Max sighed in relief as he let that lie slip out smoothly, unless Dante would catch him.
Contrary to what it looked like, Max had taken notice of the young woman who stood beside Dante. He now examined her more fully. Her outfit was pretty dashing showing someone of high class. Max determined her class or clothing really didn’t matter. His coat was CUSTOM MADE. However, besides the coat and boots, Max’s outfits tended to be rather poor consisting of a black wife beater and either brown cargo pants or black slacks. Max still greeted the girl with the same greeting he gives every woman. Max nonchalantly walked over to the lady. He lifted her dainty hand and planted a small kiss upon the back of it. “My name is Max. Will you be kind enough to honor me with your name?” He said in his smooth talking voice.

"I see," Dante replied, raising his eyebrow slightly. Max had always come across to him as far too competitive for his own good, endlessly thinking over his training, his Pokemon's movesets and battling. While it was obvious that an Elite Four member would need to be at the top of their game, Dante thought Max was a little too obsessed with it. "I didn't think they had any TM dealers in Blyse," he went on, frowning slightly. It's not like many top-notch trainers in search of the items came back here once their journey began.
His eyebrow crept up another quarter inch as Max kissed Belle's hand. "Max, this is my student, Belle Rutherford," he said quickly, stepping between the two to separate them. He wasn't sure how the girl would respond to the kiss, but given her reaction to Chael earlier Dante was sure she'd manage to be offended. He was also slightly concerned about Max's tone of voice. The Gym Leader had only ever heard him speak like that when he was attracted to someone and wasn't sure he was entirely alright with the age difference between the two.

Belle blinked in surprise when the man, Max, approached her and kissed her gloved hand. Well. Perhaps he wasn’t a commoner – he knew proper etiquette, at least. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Max.” She was going to continue, but Dante interrupted her and stepped between, which she didn’t understand. She was pleased with Max – he was not as rude as Chael – so why would he try and separate them? Shrugging, she continued, “I’m from Iclea Town, I’ve only just started the Etruan Circuit.” Speaking of her journey, she did need to get her first badge. She wasn’t concerned about her Pokemon ignoring her, well, perhaps a little, but for now she just wanted to test all their battling abilities. She was an empath and had to live the emotions of everyone around her. He hadn't noticed it at first but now that he was paying attention it was obvious. It would temper with time but with one so young it had to be a difficult adjustment. His creators had blunted those abilities from truly forming before they'd begun to develop so he had no advice to offer on the matter, only condolences. "My own abilities are lesser than yours in that way so being around others isn't always a chore. Their minds is all together different. It will get better in time," he offered. "Perhaps you should request to retreat to your Pokeball? They help to lessen the flow of sensory input from what I've gathered. That might help you.""I have always been able to communicate telepathically. It's an ability that I woke up knowing how to use," Mewtwo said simply. In response to Belle's unasked question he responded with, "The only reason the connection from my mind to yours would get "fuzzy" is if another powerful or more experience psychic were blocking my attempts to contact you."***** Not everyone can "hear" when Mewtwo's speaking telepathically as not everyone's sensitive to psychic phenomena. When he talks to someone personally a weak psionic link is formed between that person and himself. They'll "hear" him talking even if they don't know what he's saying. Over time it may turn into an actual telepathic connection that neither party involved will have complete control over at first. However this does NOT mean that EVERYONE he's spoken to will have this link and no, Joe Blow that just walked onto the scene WILL NOT know he's speaking right off the bat 9/10.

Gabby nodded somewhat reluctantly at Mewtwo. "Thank you for your time, O powerful one." She lowered her head again, before trailing back over to her mistress. Once there, she tugged on her trainer's little dress, clearly desiring attention. Belle looked down, surprised. "What is it, sweetie?" she asked, crouching down. She felt a light pull at her belt, and saw that she was trying to get at her Pokeball. "Oh, you want to go back in? Alright . . ." She pulled the Pokeball out, aiming it at the Ralts, who vanished in a beam of red light. She then stood, dusting herself off. She turned to Miato, who had responded in her head. "Oh. Wait, you woke up being able to use it? Were you asleep for a long time? Is waking up all you remember?" she asked curiously. This was fascinating! "So could that happen? How powerful would they have to be? Have you met any that powerful?"She turned upon hearing Celisse snarling at something. Belle sighed, scooping up the Pokemon, who shifted uncomfortably. "Oooh. I know what you need." Glancing around, she was surrounded by guys - naturally. She sighed. "I'll be back later. Maybe." She maneuvered around the males, hurrying to the lift. She pushed the button and, when it arrived, she got inside. She pressed the button inside the lift and stepped out when the doors opened. She then hurried out of the Center, through the city and out onto the first Route. There, she put Celisse down. The Charmander ran through the grass, disappearing behind a tree for half a minute. She then emerged, looking pleased with herself. "Good girl. Come on." Belle blinked, stopping in front of an odd-looking plant. Celisse had her nose to the ground, sniffing at it curiously. The green patch twitched, before launching itself upwards. Both girls yelped, moving backwards. Apparently, it was a Pokemon. The blue thing dashed off into another patch of grass, leaving Belle and Celisse rather stunned. Ahead, they could see dozens of weedy-looking things, all twitching mysteriously. "Well. Okay. New Route?" The Charmander nodded, disturbed. They hurried onwards, until they reached a big sign, declaring the start of Route 2. "Alright, down here we have a new Route. Ready?" Celisse nodded, and they both advanced forwards, looking around cautiously. A blue blob shot in front of them, starting Belle backwards. This wasn't like the other one - it had a big, ball-like tail. "Marill~" it announced cheerfully. "Uh . . ." It didn't seem all that aggressive, content with wandering blindly around. "Um. Okay, then." She withdrew one of her Pokeballs, promptly lobbing it at the creature. The ball opened, easily capturing the blue thing inside. "Yaaay! That was easy~" Belle picked up the ball, examining the Pokemon inside. "Hmm . . . Belle proceeded through the Route, noticing more and more of the little weeds around their feet. "Oooh. Celisse, look out for these things, don't step on them!" Celisse nodded, cautiously stepping around the little buggers. "Careful, careful - Eep!" One of them suddenly popped, disorientated for a moment. It shook its little head (well, head-body-thing) and looked up at Belle and the Charmander suspiciously. After a moment of hard staring, a red beam shot from it to Celisse, who blinked, but didn't look all that harmed. Belle huffed, angry that it should think to attack her Pokemon. "Celisse, Scratch it!" The Charmander nodded, lunging forwards and slashing at the other Pokemon. The little thing stumbled back and fell on its a**, looking rather stunned. Belle, now understanding what was required, withdrew and threw a pair of Pokeballs at them. Both missed by a mile, and the creature ran off. Belle sighed, retrieving the devices and looking at Celisse. "Keep going?" The Charmander didn't answer, but set off on its own. With a resigned look, she hurried after her. A little way ahead, she could see several of the creatures up and running around - naturally, Celisse chose to go after them. She opened her jaws, letting forth a stream of Embers into their midst. They quickly scattered, running in all directions. "Celisse, wait! I want to catch one of them . . ." One shot across her path, causing her to trip and fall with a loud "Oomph!". The creature, startled, walked around her body to stare at her face, confused. Belle took the opportunity to grope around for one of her Pokeballs. When she found it, she rolled it forwards, and it instantly took in the Pokemon. After a few struggles, the capture was complete. She exhaled, resting her forehead against the ground. She took a moment to catch her breath before she stood again, gripping the Pokeball. She clipped it to her waist, murmuring, "Hello, Belladonna. Nice to meet you." She stood, looking around for Celisse. There she was, holding an Oddish by the leaves and watching it squirm with interest. Belle groaned, moving over towards her. "Let the nice Pokemon go, honey." The Charmander glowered at her, turning its back on her and wriggling the Grass type around. The trainer but the hands on her hips, giving her little Fire type a stern look. "Now, you listen here, Missy. If you don't put that Pokemon down right now, there will be consequences." The Charmander looked over her shoulder smugly, daring her to do her worst. "Fine." Honestly, Belle had no idea how to punish her. For lack of better thing to do, she pulled out Celisse's Pokeball and aimed it at her. The Pokemon disappeared in the beam of red light, the Oddish falling roughly to the ground. Before she could offer it comfort, it scampered off. She shrugged, pulling out Lily's ball and letting the Eevee out. "Veeee!" "Yes, sweetie. We need to get back to Blyse, okay?" He was still unhappy at being spotted by yet another human but that could be remedied easily enough despite the presence of a Dark type's aura hanging around the man. He wasn't going to target the Pokemon after all. The cat began gathering energy, making sure that the glow of power wasn't surrounding him. He wasn't going to erase that someone else had been on the roof - it was far too much trouble. Instead the cat was going to make the new Trainer believe that another human had been standing there listening and silent the entire time. "Be prepared to introduce me as your new friend and roommate Marcus Holston," the psychic smoothly said with an underhanded smile for Dante's mind alone as he stood and allowed his telekinetic hands to dust his seat off. The Gym Leader could disapprove of his mind-wiping all he liked but when push came to shove he wasn't going to allow anyone he deemed unworthy to remember him. Max was yanked forward all at once and Mewtwo placed a hand on the immobilized human's head. For a brief second his eyes glowed blue and the Trainer stood with a blank and dazed look in his eyes as he was placed back where he'd originally been standing. Lily lead the way back to Blyse, exceedingly excited to be out and about. She pretty much pranced everywhere and frequently stopped to sniff at flowers. "I swear, if I caught you while you were high . . ." Belle muttered as she watched it nose a bewildered-looking Skitty. "Lily, come on." The Eevee leapt away from the other Pokemon, leading again with her bushy tail twitching. "You so silly, shnookums. Why you so silly? Whyyy? Because you siiiiillyyyyy~" she crooned as she frolicked back and forth between her trainer and the grass. It was a while before they reached Blyse City again, mostly because Lily kept trying to play with unsuspecting Pokemon. Belle approached the Pokemon Center again, handing her team over to Nurse Joy, who gave her a somewhat stern look, but healed her Pokemon anyway. That over and done with, she went and sat down on one of the seats, Lily curled comfortably in her lap. She figured that they'd be off the roof by now, surely, and hopefully this was where they'd think to look for her. Belle blinked, looking down at Lily when she felt little jaws clamp around the webbing between her first finger and thumb. Her tail was waving happily, clearly pleased with her actions. The trainer shook her head, reaching up her other hand and stroking the Eevee, trying to calm her down. "Let go, sweetie. Let go." After a moment, the grip loosened and Belle withdrew her hand, inspecting it for blood - none, thankfully - Lily was just playing. "Silly Lily! Does Silly Lily want a friend out to play with Silly Lily?" The Eevee tilted her head at her, confused. "Ah, well. Here." She ran her fingers along her Pokeballs, trying to remember who was where. "Uhm." She certainly didn't want Celisse out, and Gabrielle hadn't seemed too pleased at being out before. "Here!" She produced two of the Pokeballs, and released the Marill and Oddish, the newest members of her team. "This is Angelina and Belladonna, our new friends." While the three got acquainted, Belle pulled out her Pokedex and aimed it at the two Pokemon, listening to the analysis given. "Marill, the Aqua Mouse Pokemon. Its body is covered with water-repellent fur. Because of the fur, it can swim through water at high speed without being slowed by the water's resistance. The tip of its tail, which contains oil that is lighter than water, lets it swim without drowning. Oddish, the Weed Pokemon. During the daytime, Oddish buries itself in soil to absorb nutrients from the ground using its entire body. The more fertile the soil, the glossier its leaves become. It is able to restore health in moonlight."Belle flipped the device shut, intrigued. "Oooh. Sounds magical." As she watched, Belladonna inspected Angelina and Lily for a few minutes, before promptly bolting outside - or rather, bolting into the glass window. The trainer face-palmed. "Belladonna, honey, if no one else is walking through it, it's probably not a door." The creature didn't reply, but repeated its actions. Belle hurried over to it, picking it up and then dumping it in her lap when sat down. "You'd best stay near me, you're not used to being inside." Meanwhile, Angelina and Lily were comparing . . . tails. Yes, tails. Lily had hers erect and bushy, while Angelina took pride in the fact that she could extend hers. ~~~ Post 50! Level up! Despite the circumstances, Dante couldn't help but give Mewtwo an incredulous stare. He couldn't believe that the Pokemon had just gone ahead and performed the mind surgery with barely so much as a warning, and to a friend of his, no less. Though the cat had intelligence and talent, in Dante's opinion Mewtwo was lacking in the respect category.
As he returned his attention to Max with a sheepish smile on his face, Dante suddenly had the feeling he'd missed something. He glanced around for a second, thinking hard, until it finally came to him: Belle had gone off on her again. 'Why do I even bother with this job?' he though, half annoyed at Mewtwo still and frustrated with the girl's inability to stay still. "Listen, Max, I have to go catch up with Belle," Dante said swiftly. "There'll be plenty of time for you to meet Mew- I mean, MARC, later." He tugged on the psycat's arm hard, directing him towards the elevator and keeping him distanced from the Elite Four member as much as possible.We'll talk about this later, Dante said to Mewtwo. For now, they needed to find Belle.

He hadn't just altered someone's memory only to be recorded on the surveillance inside the building. Friend or not there had always been a "don't touch me" precedent in place and Dante had just broken it. Had corrected him like a child even if it wasn't audible. The cat kept his outrage from bubbling over, kept his voice cold when he responded to the human with his back turned. With a psychically enhanced leap he was on the opposite building's roof. "I'll meet you outside the city. We'll talk about you grabbing me then."It was dusk by the time he got to tall grasses of Route 1. He could only get away with pretending to be a psychic so long as he didn't try to outright fly. That left him with psychically hopping from roof to roof until he got to the edge of the city while avoiding cameras. Now he was waiting on Dante and Belle's arrival if the Gym Leader had found the Newbie. ***** Not everyone can "hear" when Mewtwo's speaking telepathically as not everyone's sensitive to psychic phenomena. When he talks to someone personally a weak psionic link is formed between that person and himself. They'll "hear" him talking even if they don't know what he's saying. Over time it may turn into an actual telepathic connection that neither party involved will have complete control over at first. However this does NOT mean that EVERYONE he's spoken to will have this link and no, Joe Blow that just walked onto the scene WILL NOT know he's speaking right off the bat 9/10.

Belle glanced up when she heard the lift ding, and Dante stepped out. Relieved, she stood, cradling Belladonna to her chest. She looked down at Angelina and Lily, who were still examining each other's tails. "Come on, guys. We need to go see Dante." The Pokemon glanced up, surprised. They then exchanged resigned looks, before trailing after her as she approached the man. "Daaaaaanteeeeee. There you are~ I caught two new Pokemon while you were on the roof with your boyfriend." She gestured to Belladonna and Angelina. Dante sighed audibly when the first person he found after exiting the lift was Belle. Found her, he thought to Mewtwo, assuming the cat was still listening. In all honesty the Pokemon was likely ignoring him now out of some sort of childish anger at being told off, but Dante figured Mewtwo would probably like to know anyways. They would be talking later, but hopefully about the Psychic's rather worrisome habit of invading others minds and cleaning them out whenever he felt like it.
"He's not my boyfriend," Dante replied, giving a cursory glance over the girl's new Pokemon. "And next time you go out, at least let me know - or take Mewtwo with you. Remember what happened with you and the Shinx? Let's try to avoid that happening again." The Gym Leader was also worried about the girl's reaction should she be challenged to a battle by another trainer after what had happened to Chael. If neither he nor Mewtwo were around to intervene, it could get ugly fast.
"At any rate, let's get a move on, don't you think? Show me where you found that Oddish." Dante couldn't recall ever seeing the things this close to Blyse.
