Post 190 "Well, it could be somebody else's Gyarados." Chael suggested, sarcasm obvious. Fear raised an eyebrow before leaping on Chael's shoulder. She had officially claimed herself the small kick a** mouse of the group. She just needed a special attack and she'd be set. Pointing to the flying bugs, Chael asked "They yours?" His Pokemon didn't evolve, but they certainly looked a bit stronger. He had guessed they leveled up too. Well that was good. That sarcasm just made Nolan laugh even harder, as he wiped some of the Gyarados spit off of his face. At least his duster had soaked up most of it. Climbing back up to his feet, Nolan nearly bumped his head on the Ninjask flying above him, yet the Ninja pokemon was much too quick for that to happen. The teenager blinked up at the new bug, the closest one to him at first, and then at the second one. Two? He only had one but - "Those must be mine too. This is just insane." Oh, then it dawned on him. Didn't someone say, or even Chael who said it? Nincada evolving made another pokemon. Nolan didn't want to look at the Shedinja very long, but he got his last pokeball out. He threw it, and the ghost didn't even so much as attempt to dodge it. One, two, three shakes and it was caught, then it teleported away to the PC. Nolan breathed a sigh of relief and looked up and up at Dosu's monster face way above his head. "I'm all out of pokeballs. Now ... uh, now I guess we can see about that pokemon of yours." ((Just a note, I'm going by Starting Newbie's time. So I don't end up going through a week while they go through a day, since I might rejoin them. I just skipped to morning to post around.)) Post 191 "Well, it looks like you got two Pokemon for one." Chael said as Nolan caught the Shedinja. It looked like a ghost type as well as Epsilon. If they had a Spiritomb here, it's be a ghost lovers dream come true. He put the shovel down, only to see his worn out hands. It was still the early morning so he had time to let them rest. Looks like they'd need it. "Well at least your Gyarados is friendly. But yeah, let's head back to the Center." he suggested. "Although, wouldn't he know only Splash?" (( Which thread are you planning to move too? Any of the other ones work for me. )) "Two for one, wow. I never heard of that happening ever before." Now they were getting down to business, and the logic was soothing for Nolan. Although, it was extremely weird that they were being followed by a huge blue serpent as Dosu followed along behind. Already Valor was riding on the Gyarados's back, slipping on the scales, and the Ninjask was zipping here and there at high speeds. But now at least they shouldn't be changing anymore. Nolan was just excited as his mind processed the situation. Dosu was everything he dreamed of. He was getting giddy again, giggling. "No, Gyarados learn attacks right when they evolve. He still has Tackle if anything. Um, where is the mart?" G A G E __ B A R R O W S..·´¯`·.._..·´¯`·..  Well, the Ralts would be useless for a couple more levels. Checking its stats on the pokeball, Gage was glad to see he caught a female, and with Trace no less. Excellent. If it proved to be a great battler he might even be tempted to keep it for himself. Yet Gage still knew exactly which pokemon he wanted to catch to rebuild his team. But for now, well, Yamask was good enough from the ruins. Sneaking around through the back, he kept his eyes out for a fossil poking up from the sand, but what he did find first was a Sandile. "Hey you! Croc-face. You're coming with us!" That got the banded pokemon's attention. "Spheal, ice attack!" And that nearly knocked out the Sandile all in one hit. Gage readied another pokeball and tossed it at the croc. It was going to be an easy capture right? Just a common, yet strong pokemon. Oh hilarious, it ran right after it broke out, and Gage growled, clenching his fists. He seriously couldn't capture some common croc? "YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" SPHEAL LV.10 / RALTS LV.2 / #oooo8 // ProfileLOCATION // Gabron Ruins from Route 1.

Gage was so pissed off when he went searching for the Yamask, he pegged the first one he found in the face with a pokeball without even bothering to use an attack. The pitiful looking ghost shed a tear and was sucked into the capsule, too stunned to even struggle to get out. Or rather, maybe it just wanted to be captured like Ralts. "What a bunch of wussy pokemon. Ugh ..." Common but captured. Yamask's immunity to Normal and Fighting attacks would come in handy, not to mention its ability Mummy. Gage felt a little better after another successful capture, but seriously, that Sandile? He was going to hunt that little b*****d down. Gage withdrew Spheal and tossed the pokeball for the new Yamask. "Alright, Mr. Ghost. You're going to help me find a Sandile, got it?" The Yamask nodded slowly, clutching its mask to its body and swinging its tail back and forth with a subdued twitch. Gage grinned. Thankfully this one wasn't as annoying as Spheal and Ralts. Gage was on his way out of the Ruins, only a single lousy new pokemon on his belt and one credit towards an item at the Mart. Not like he was going to keep a Water Stone. He had no use for those. Yamask was making some noise though, barely over a whisper, yet Gage caught a glimpse of the sunlight glinting off its mask. It had the damned croc by the tail, the exact same one from before. "Excellent." Just another common, but it was going to help in capturing more pokemon, or might even be worth a trade after it was trained to follow commands. With Yamask dodging the snapping jaws of the Sandile, Gage chucked a pokeball at the thing before it could get free. The pokeball shook and shook, but no good - the Sandile was already still wounded from Spheal's icy attacks. So now Gage had a Dark/Ground type to add to his team. Pretty good, but still not what he wanted. He could use a fighting type to round out his team. He started back towards Route 1 and Blyse, done with the Ruins for now.
