Making an excited hop he waited for the girl to come along with her Pokemon. Oh boy, soon he'd be throwing his bone around like a boomerang! Bonerang attack! Yeah, he could tell it was going to be pretty sweet. Post: 16 Why was the girl just standing there? "Hellooooo. Trainer girl, you awake?" The Shade asked. If they didn't hurry somebody could take the gym challenge after that one guy! Then he'd have to wait longer for that bone. The ground type crossed his arms. Waiting was boring. G A G E __ B A R R O W S..·´¯`·.._..·´¯`·..  First things first, gotta get something worth something. Gage was out strolling on Route 1 with a round ball of a blue pokemon bouncing along behind him with a huge grin. He was trying not to grimace, but this thing was totally cramping his style. The happy-go-lucky Spheal was on loan, so that was no good for trading, or it would have been gone in a heartbeat. Gage would just ignore it for now, hands in his pockets, his sunglasses perched on in his hair. He had bigger things on his mind. Like finding a family of Eevee around here. Mapping out the area in his head, Gage first had to get up high to get a feeling for the lay of the land. G A G E __ B A R R O W S..·´¯`·.._..·´¯`·.. Branches started to snap under his boots, and that meant that was as high as he could climb. Yeah, that Spheal was useless. It couldn't even climb and it cried up at him, being worthless. What Gage wouldn't give to have his old pokemon back, but if he had anything to do with it, he was going to get even better ones. Settling into the crook of the tree's branches, Gage shaded his eyes and scanned the route. Couldn't see pokemon so well up here, except that bright pink Audino - uncommon - but he wasn't looking for pokemon exactly. He was looking for where they would live, where they would hide. There'd been a lot of new trainers in the area, so he had to go where they haven't. And there, he thought he saw the perfect spot - hidden, secluded, but the food seemed like it would be scarce. It wouldn't do Gage any good with battling until it was better trained, but maybe some sorry trainer would trade him something stronger for it. If he could catch it. Gage had spotted the little green and white pokemon coming over to inspect the super happy Spheal, attracted by the good feelings. Gage made sure to keep his mind as blank as he could as he slowly climbed down the tree. One chance at catching this thing. He readied a pokeball and ... no good. The thing ran before he was even in range. Must have spooked it with some greedy emotion. Oh well, there would be others. Besides, Eevee were his real target. Spheal bounced again alongside Gage. He thought about recalling it, but if it was a Ralts magnet, then he'd leave the empty-headed fool out of its Poke Ball. SPHEAL LV.10 / #oooo3 // ProfileLOCATION // Route 1.

Gage scatted a whole flock of them as he started to walk towards that little cove, and the Spheal just thought it was great fun, barking at the birds. They were lame pokemon. Gage rolled his eyes behind his sunglasses, but he had to keep them open to spot anything strange or unusual. He pulled his sunglasses off and tucked them on top of his head to better see once they got under the shade of the trees farther from Blyse. It was all pretty boring. G A G E __ B A R R O W S..·´¯`·.._..·´¯`·.. Well, there were two things that could be going on - he could train Spheal so it would be easier to catch the stronger pokemon. Or risking that could scare off the pokemon nearby - or flush them out. Gage smirked. "Spheal, your Powder Snow! Cover the whole area and freeze those damned Eevee out!" The blue ball of blubber bounced forward and blasted a cold wind into the area. Gage had to shield his eyes from the frigid blast, but yeah, he just hoped as goofy as the Spheal was, that Team Celestia wouldn't want him back. No time to think, Gage watched as more bird pokemon were scared out of the surrounding trees, and several Shinx jumped out of a bush as it was plastered with snow. Common, uncommon, no good. Gage wouldn't get discouraged yet, and he bopped Spheal on the head with the toe of his boot to shut off the mini-blizzard. "Good for now, bud. Let's find another area and really let them have it. We just need to find the Eevee and then we can start tracking them." Gage licked his lips and rubbed his hands together. "Maybe another Ralts too, yeah?" The Luxio was doing it! In front, his Blitzle was galloping around, allowing a Timburr to ride her around. Then the Golett, calmly following behind. "I am kinda worried about that Pokemon I caught. It managed to hold off my entire team. That's not natural." He said, not from him boasting about power. But how nothing seemed to hit it. It changed form in the blink of an eye. Nolan didn't know very many legends, yet he knew the legends of Kanto rather well, namely the trio of birds and the mysterious scientific research done on the ancient Mew. He just felt ridiculous for suggesting it. But then his mind snapped onto a much more plausible reason. "Mew can Transform, or so the stories I read say. But actually it sounds more like a Gastly. The ones around here must be different than the ones at home. They're not extremely powerful, but Gengar are. That could be what you saw as it used its illusions to make you see different pokemon." While Nolan spoke, he kept glancing up at the huge Dosu in line with the rest, towering above him. Once they had left the Ruins, Nolan decided to put Ninjask back in his pokeball, just to be sure it didn't fly off too far. "I doubt it but... that would be pretty epic." he said as he walked into the Pokemon Center. Moments later he came out, Pokeball in his palm. His other Pokemon were standing around by the other trainers. A sweat went down his head as he threw the ball. Sending out a Gyarados. Nolan made sure to run inside the Center and heal his pokemon - he didn't feel safe leaving Dosu outside on his own. And he couldn't bring himself to return the brand new Gyarados to his pokeball, so Nolan was turning a lot of heads with the huge sea serpent following behind him. He bet a lot of rookies have never seen an Atrocious before. Nolan was beaming, but that expression hit a hitch when it was a Gyarados that popped out of Chael's pokeball. Dosu took offense, roaring so loud it hurt Nolan's ears, and Nolan's pokemon lunged forward to bite the imposter Gyarados on its throat. And they didn't call them vicious without a good reason. If Dosu got a good grip, he would swing his tail around to pummel the imposter with a Thrash attack if the other Gyarados didn't cease and desist being a threat. Post 194 Dosu had gotten a good grip on it but just as quickly, the Gyarados turned into a Croconaw! Slipping out of the real Gyarados's grip, he lunged using Ice Fang! Chael saw an opening. "Return your Pokemon!" he called out to Nolan. Chael's Pokemon was using Dosu as a shield, removing the threat of a return beam. He could see why he had such trouble. Whatever he caught fought dirty. And it was really good at it. Argos didn't take a liking to being copied by this monster, making an aggesive hiss, alligators were known for. He prepared to leap, but Chael shook his head, returning all but Argos. An idea came in his mind. "Wait, put your Servine in front. It knows type advantages and it'll change form!" he called out. It made sense. Whenever it was at a disadvantage, it changed. Chael wanted the Pokemon to turn into a Servine so he could use Ice Fang. Cleverrrr.
