Maybe he needed to add more to it then just the sound. He could see the sneakered feet of another human as they approached near where he lay beneath the bed, and this time, along with the moan, he reached out to grab at one of those feet. His hand only grazed over it briefly, however, before the human was moving away again.
Drat.
He definitely wasn't as good at this as Yin had seemed to think.
Time to lay low and regroup, to think about what he might be able to try next.

Jack this subtle nonsense, it was going out the proverbial window! When the next humans feet appeared close to Alex's face, he not only moaned, the sound rattling hollowly from his chest, he also reached out a clawed hand and dug it into the floor next to one of those feet and slowly began to pull himself out from under the bed. Soon he was doing the same with his other hand, darting it forward to dig in beside the other foot. As he slowly emerged from beneath the bed, his pale white filmed eyes rolled upwards to look the human straight in the face. The zomboils mouth was gaped open, his upper lip pulled back from stained teeth before he gnashed those teeth together several times to add an eerie clatter.
Then Alex saw the most satisfying thing he'd ever experienced. The human was looking at him, in utmost horror, their eyes big and round, their mouth gaping. They were starting to back away, and Alex, half way out from the bed now, pushed himself up higher with one arm while lashing his other hand out to grab for an ankle. His hand barely brushed the human, but they began to shriek, pointing at the zombie as they started to back away.
Mission accomplished, the zombie let himself back down to the floor and pushed himself backwards under the bed once again. Once there, he peered out from the darkened gloom with a satisfied smirk.

West listened as the humans crashed into the room, seemingly oblivious to the number of Halloween creatures surrounding them. He thought back to Rengath's class and how excellent he had been at scaring chairs. Somehow he doubted humans would be as easy. He was going to have to break out the big guns.
There was a tapping on the mirror he had hidden behind. When it stopped, West peered around its side. He glared at a short, chubby human girl and her lanky male companion as he brought his hands up near his chest. They began to glow a subtle red as he gathered his Fear, and just when the pair seemed ready to venture into the opposite corner of the room, the glare around West's hands detached and flew toward the humans. As it struck and sank into their bodies, they jumped in alarm, the young man letting out a surprised shout. West grinned, the expression serving to make him look slightly unhinged. That had been awesome.

In came a witch that he wasn't completely familiar with. He couldn't help but stare at where she was grabbing. Now, a part of him had to wonder if Israfel saw that, would he start going on about pairing the two girls up? Hmmm. Well, he didn't have much time to think about it as the room filled up with new occupants.
Humans. A lot of them too. Jericho stared through the little openings in the closet.
Looking around, the dragon soon decided to rattle the closet door before slamming it open. It seemed to have startled at least one of the humans in the room. Well.. that wasn't too bad.

A few more had joined the little corner, though still, Shun tried to ignore Titus's presence. At least he had some work to do soon enough. There were quite a few humans in the room now. Quietly, he observed a few of them, before deciding some plan of action. There were a few standing nearby, so he decided to deal with them.
Summoning his daggers, he moved over towards the wall before slashing at it a few times to try and cause a few small gashes into it all of the sudden. Noisily if possible. This wasn't exactly something he didn't want to go unnoticed. The nearest human did take notice and quickly jumped away.
Seeing how that seemed to work, he started to try and carve some actual words into the wall. Before he could really attempt, a bright flash had come out of nowhere, knocking him back a bit. Shaking his head, he stared around, trying to figure out what the hell had just caused that.

And then some smelly humans came trooping into the room. JD did his best to look unimpressed. What were they doing HERE, anyway? Surely importing humans was like, illegal contraband or something. Not that he cared. He leveled a glare on the nearest few - a couple of older looking dudes who were staring at his suddenly darkened corner. He took a slow and surprisingly menacing step forward, raising his hands to cup around his mouth. As they made contact with his face, the skin around them suddenly turned metallic gold, and reflective, flashing and catching the lights noticeably. "Boo."The men immediately started freaking out, messing around with the weird contraptions they'd been looking through and carrying on about orbs and EVPs and loudly yelling "IS ANYONE HERE WITH US RIGHT NOW? DO YOU WANNA FIGHT? YEAH OH GOD I THINK IT TOUCHED ME. OH GOD OH GOD-" Or something to that effect. JD wasn't paying attention anymore, as he suddenly found himself high on life, so to speak. Holy s**t that was bad a**.

Yin had barely done anything to scare the first human though, and quite honestly had no idea how to scare a human without using his natural form, which would be quite rude anyway.
So when Alexander took off for the bed he darted behind the mirror. And waited. He watched as the humans filtered in, smelling deliciously raw, and began to look about.
And had no idea what to do. Others were making noises and doing things with ice and slamming doors. He had a mirror. He reached out, making odd tapping noises on the mirror to add to the spooky ambiance, and was completely ignored.

It was kind of nice, just hanging out in the corner, the shadows engulfing and hugging up to him, the soft purring of his companion on his shoulders, the sudden awareness of her being in his mind as he held on to her shadow's force, waiting for what come may.
It didn't take long for Jack to get that sinking feeling that he was being watched, the burning of another's eyes upon him had the kitking darting his own eyes around the room, trying to pinpoint the sinking feeling.
After a moment, he found the source - a canine, who seemed more interested in him, than anything else in the room, which paralized him in the same fashion, eyebrows raising and eyes opening up wide, almost as if questioning the other member in silence, wondering where they were going to go from here, before everything broke loose.
Sounds and movements broke his concentration erratically, his eyes widening and flashing between the mob of humans - colours and sounds - topped with the jostling movements and attempts by his field-trip mates, Jack was overwhelmed and under-prepared when the uncomfortable feeling of the mental talking took over again, chidding him to attempt a scare on the unsuspecting group.
Snapping his fingers to get the feel of his shadow work again, he could only get the slightest bit of movement from Seiben's shadow, a small spectre that didn't even get out of the gate fast enough to make a try on the humans - who only walked past him, unaware of the frustrations of the Demon that they had left behind, or the small hissing sound emitting from him.
iStoleYurVamps Jack is flattered, and spooked. Lol.

Jack-be-damned, that was the hardest hit to his ego at best - a performer caught out of his act, disregarded by those around him - he would take this to heart for days. Snapping his fingers a couple more, he watched as the others took their turns, everything from wonderous shows to epic fails around him coming as they go, gossip and voices floating past as the poor humans came across them.
Seeing another pair come close, he got ready, rubbing Seiben behind her neck, murmuring to her to calm her down as he felt himself come back to his senses fully, flowing his hands a little to form a spectre with his hands, the shadow flashing and fusing in to something vicious.
It was a timely effort, but after it was all said and done, the shadow twisted and turned, echoing the sounds of a mourning cat, ready to spring, to take the breath from unsuspecting victims --
-- and it worked!
Or so it he felt. Watching them spook and tense up at the sounds and the feeling of somthing at the side of their vision was wonderful - a good feeling deep inside - even as they tried to laugh it off. It'd come back to them later, deep in their subconscious; he could feel it.

In a sudden flash the room burst with energy as students scattered to get themselves into a hiding place. BUL WAS ALREADY IN A DARK CORNER when he'd had himself projected as far away from QB as possible.
This however became an opportunity to put out some raw, powerful fear energy into what he'd been dying to practice since coming to Amityville.
Only now was Bul feeling more comfortable with the guest professor. He was teaching them COOL ******** THINGS!
Bul had worked himself so much that he attempted a half-hearted scare that appeared to work-
Until the humans just laughed it off nervously. That was okay, it took time to work up someones nerve and if you continued to give them spooks then they themselves would work up the right amount of fear to s**t their pants. Bul considered it a semi-success. NOT A POINTY GRADE, but close.

Now they needed to scare, huh? Well, Hel took a challenge well, certainly! But this was interesting, because she never really thought about…scaring before. The valkyrie was familiar with the concept of using the environment to aid her though. She couldn’t help but peer at all the humans who were in the room at first though. Wow…they were so close. She grinned as some seemed more easily frightened than others, and took a moment to think about she grabbed the mirror and jerked it forward before pulling it back.
The ghoul was delighted to know that she had managed make them startled…but then they laughed. Hey…no one laughs at Hel.

The reaper grabbed the mirror again and jerked it. She was only rewarded with a paused and a confused glance though. Hel scowled to herself. Okay, this obviously wasn’t working, so it was time to try something else.

This time, the reaper tried spinning the mirror on its hinges, but alas, no one was really around to appreciate it, and once again, all it earned was a confused glance before moving on. Hel growled. No. She could not be mocked in this challenge! It would be an insult to her family honor!
She needed to work on scare tactics right this moment.

As his nails flicked over the mirror an idea came to him. He reached all the way across the mirror, pressed his claws hands down on the glass, and pulled.
It was not the exact sound as nails on a chalkboard, it was oddly wispier, but the noise caused several humans to startle, the looks of surprise evident on their faces. Looks that gave him a rush of...something. Something that felt good. He grinned, which might have been even spookier if they had been able to see his sharpened teeth.

Apparently Yin was on a roll. As the noise of his clawed hands screeching over the mirror had worked so well the first time he waited for a different batch of humans to filter over and did it again. But something on the other side of the room had frightened some humans and he actually laughed as a boil let out a rather ghoulish shriek.
To the humans nearest him the laugh mixed with the screeching noise was apparently one of the most horrifying sounds they had ever heard, and there was a rush in his own Fear, a rush that was one of the most satisfying things he had ever felt. Yes, he could definitely get used to scaring humans. He wanted to do it again really, but it was probably time to give the other students a chance.
