Regal responded to Bunnie and Devlin. "Yes. Hmm... Perhaps you all might benefit from getting to know him." He hoped that Richter wouldn't be annoyed by them, but they would need to speak to him eventually.
He smiled in a friendly manner at the timid Major. "Please, don't worry. Accompanying us is strictly optional, and searching for your brothers is very important. Feel free to make your own decision."
He didn't want to make this timid one any more nervous, so he turned to view the elemental railway. "In any case, I must speak with my assistant George to inform him of my absence. I will be back shortly."
Regal would go to his headquarters to speak with George, leaving him in charge until his return.

"I see..." Blaze nodded as she listened, a sign that she was paying close attention. She would also be curious as to how exactly Zelos "bears the gift of angels", but the next piece of information he divulged alarmed her, and she made a fleeting expression reflecting that. Splitting a world into two...that sounded like something the Power of the Stars could do. She didn't want to believe that, given it was only shortly after the defeat of the Eggman duo, and she put the Jeweled Scepter under much heavier guard. But it was a possibility she couldn't count out.

However, she also kept in mind that she would be jumping to conclusions, for she only knew of the Power of the Stars being able to affect her and Sonic's worlds. It was never tested on other worlds before, and she certainly wouldn't want to see that occur. Craving more information, she asked, "So this world is actually...who split it into two?"







Kratos and Azura had entered with little to no difficulty, as apparently the city of science was one of the few that was well aware of the otherworldly "visitors". It did have researchers coming in and out trying to assess the state of the world, after all. It was just that people kept gawking at Azura because she appeared to be one of the strangest yet, what with her blue skin and all, but the Dark Elf didn't seem to mind. She just ignored the stares, going on as if it were nothing big. It was to be expected.

She first followed Kratos to a shop, where they stocked up on various Gels and Bottles while briefing her on their uses. They also stocked up on assorted food items, since Azura expressed interest in cooking for herself if they needed to camp out there for the night. There was one more thing she added to the inventory: a small, thin book...from what Kratos heard as she conversed with the shopkeeper, it was a pocket calendar noting the lunar cycle. Harboring a slight curiosity, he decided he'd ask about it after she found a place to settle down for a meal.

Zelos listened to Blaze and Jade as they spoke, asking different questions. "The first time? Well, it was over four thousand years ago. See, this group of people strived for a way for an ancient war to end. To that, Mithos formed a pact with Origin. With it, the Summon Spirit created the Eternal Sword, and it was from that he managed to split the world into Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. It's only been a whole world again for a couple years now, you know? Anyway, this comet comes out of nowhere and splits the world again. It makes me mad. My bud and our friends went through a lot to get the worlds together, and now this happens." He then looked at Jade and blinked. "Sure. You can come with me when he sends for me. He won't be too happy that I'll be bringing yet another stranger, but hey. What can he do?" He turned, stopping just inches from the doors to the research building. He blinked, smiling. "That was a close one. Almost ran into--" The door opened quickly, hitting Zelos right in the face. He fell back, holding his nose. "Oh. Sorry, Chosen! In a hurry!" "What's the big idea? Now my face is ruined...." He stood, still holding his nose. "Welcome to the research center. I need a tissue." He walked into the center, going over to the counter, where a female half-elf was giggling. He held his head back and pinched the bridge of his nose, holding the tissue to his nostrils. "Third time this week....I'm starting to think this place hates me. Is there any progress yet?" "Well, we're going to start charging you for tissues, but no. Nothing worth reporting. Though, we've confirmed Genis, Lloyd, and Sheena are in Sylvarant." "Not Bansheena. I was hoping to talk to my vuluptious honey, too....At least Lloyd is on his home world. That ought to give him some comfort....The rest?" "Regal is in Altamira, but the others can't be placed yet. Aside from Emil, who you know to be in Luin." Emil. He remembered his staying behind with Ratatosk, but then suddenly appearing out of nowhere in Luin not long ago. Zelos gave the girl a thumbs up. Not the information he wanted, but it was always good to keep track of his friends, too.

Blaze listened quietly all the way to the doors of the research facility. She watched the scene that unfolded with a bit of a bewildered stare, sweatdropping. She thought it a little strange, but the way others around Zelos were treating him was telling her a little more about how he's truly perceived despite his status. And those names that were mentioned between him and the attendant he was currently speaking to, she wondered whether they were friends or important figures. But those were questions for another time. She waited until their conversation was over to ask, "Er...well. A comet, huh? Would you happen to know if it's under anyone's control?"

Blaze was also curious regarding what Jade had asked of Zelos. She knew not what the object he mentioned was, but thought it would be useful to know. And noticing that his inquiry was a bit rudely glossed over, she thought she'd bring it up again so as to not leave him hanging. Turning her head to look at the Colonel, she questioned, "What is a 'Sephiroth', by the way?"

Aside, one of the researchers was staring at Blaze with a mixture of perplexity and awe. He attempted to approach her from behind quietly for a closer examination, reaching a hand out. Blaze didn't turn to look the person in the eye, but she swished her tail out of his grasp. "It's just a very elaborate costume. I'd appreciate not being touched, thank you." The scientist, once aware that he was caught, did nothing more than freeze when she spoke and retreat in slight embarrassment when she was through addressing him.

Zelos shrugged and gestured for them to follow him. The walk to the palace wasn't long, but Zelos was stopped a few times by some women. But, they made it with few interruptions. "Well, this is it. I don't know how His Majesty will respond to a couple of otherworldly visitors, since I haven't seen any enter the palace. So, if I were you, I would bow and keep my head down until you're addressed. The last thing Meltokio needs is a massacre on its streets." The Chosen shuddered at the thought. The idea of a massacre didn't bother him as much as the thought of not being able to stop it did. Opening the doors, he entered with Jade and Blaze, walking up to the thrones and bowing, though it was rather obnoxious and not formal. "Greetings, Your Majesty. I'd like to know my orders regarding the comet, but first, I bring some new friends of mine who wish to form an alliance with Tethe'alla." "More strangers? First the Sylvaranti group, and now otherwordly guests? I'm beginning to think you're intentionally trying to cause me stress." "I'm offended. With all that's going on, I thought an alliance between the foreigners and Tethe'alla would help." He didn't look or act offended at all. In fact, he was actually content with his bitter relationship with the king. Not like there was any way to fix it. When the king gestured Zelos to the side, he obliged and went over to the pillars, leaning on one and pulling out his sword, examining it. Let the politics begin. Politics weren't Zelos's forte, but he'd assist in any way he could, since he was the one who brought the two the palace.

Regal returned a relatively short while later. Making sure not to rudely interrupt anyone, he spoke.

"I've returned. I see you are getting along smoothly." It certainly was nice to be on good terms with Richter, not to mention the otherworldly travelers.

Entering the throne room, Blaze silently nodded at Zelos' advice. Once within sights of the King, she bowed and maintained her position out of courtesy.

The King kept a hard, stoic gaze upon Jade as he listened to him speak. Once the Colonel was through, he nodded in acknowledgement and replied, "Understood. You've spoken some rather valid points. Your offer of alliance is something I shall take into great consideration first. Now..." He turned his gaze to Blaze, then began to take on a slightly puzzled expression. What was this...thing that the Chosen dragged in to show to him? The cat girl struck him as abnormal, but he was able to distinguish feminine features; thus he addressed her according to his perceptions. "...what of you, young...lady?"

Blaze lifted her head and nodded, staring at the King with a calm, serious expression herself. Stepping closer to the throne with a hand firmly over her heart, she stopped beside Jade.

"Your Majesty. I am Princess Blaze of the Sol Dimension. I too believe that cooperation between us is of best interest. Your 'Chosen' has brought to light that a comet is the cause behind the calamity that has happened to this world as of late, thus I feel it is necessary for me to investigate the matter myself. I have once dealt with forces that threatened to destroy my world in an instant, and if that force may happen to be the same as the one affecting this world, then I feel that I might have been brought here to confront it once more."

"Brought here? By what?" His Majesty questioned with a suspicious look.

Blaze paused, contemplating the words to use without mentioning the Sol Emeralds. "...By the same force that helped me defeat that threat. I cannot speak too much of it. I understand that may seem...sketchy...but truly, the less that is known, the better."

"I see. Would you be able to utilize this force right now?" The King had figured, if she were, why not strike at the problem immediately?

But Blaze gently shook her head. "Not exactly. You see, the process to bring me here was...'explosive', so to speak, so upon my arrival it split into pieces that I presume have scattered around this world. Only one piece rests with me as of this moment."
