Especially when you included the other indicators such as the fact they looked alike, and that he had a missing sister whilst she had never known her family. It couldn’t all just be a coincidence. Nevertheless, Lisanna wanted some way to be sure. A family was the one thing she’d always wanted more than anything, so for there to be even the slightest possibility of her finally having it she wanted to make absolutely sure it was real. She carefully took the picture Salem held and brought it close to her face to look at it. It was clearly old and considerably worn, as if he’d carried it around for a long time. The two babies in the picture were a boy and a girl with snowy white hair and blue eyes, and their parents holding them…Lis caught her breath, turning the picture over to read the words on the back. Salem and Lisanna. So it had to be true. Her fingers brushed over the inky letters her mother must have scrawled out so many years ago. ”This is….wow…” She breathed.
Eventually she managed to tear her gaze away from it and look back up at Salem, who was smiling at her. Lisanna suddenly felt so happy she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry or throw her arms around Salem and hug the stuffing out of him. Her little brother standing right in front of her, such a simple thing but for her it was hardly believable. For now, however… ”I-I think…I need to sit down…” She managed to say, still sounding rather stunned. ”Perhaps we should head upstairs…? The ball will start soon and there’s so much I want to ask you…” They had all night to talk and catch up, so they might as well get upstairs instead of standing around here. All night wouldn’t make up for seventeen years of being apart, but it was a start. Besides, wasn’t he supposed to be playing for the ball, since he was obviously a musician? She didn’t want to make him late. Lisanna was also aware that Kalay was still there and she didn’t want to keep him standing around either, as he was probably bored by their little family reunion by now. She gave him an apologetic smile.
”Sorry for making you wait like this, Kal…” She said softly before looking back at Salem again and carefully holding out the picture for him. It was probably very precious to him, after all. She had so many questions for him about their parents, like what were their names and where were they from? Were they even still alive? And of course why…why had they given her away? They could all wait until they were upstairs though. Lisanna needed to sit down before she fell over from the shock this unexpected little event had hit her with.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊰ ✮ ⊱▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬'I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sophia couldn't help the smile that creeped onto her lips. She quickly put her hand up to her mouth to hide the smile. "Uhm.. It must be pretty good then." she assumed and slowly grabbed a napkin. Not realizing what she was doing, she gently wiped his face clean. Once she realized what she did her face turned red and thankfully the headmaster clanked a fork against his cup and pulled everyone's attention. She let out a breath and griped the napkin as she listened to the headmaster. I still can't get it through my head that I am a SeeD She thought as she looked down at the napkin. She blinked and her head went up when the announcer came on and was... well ridiculous like always. The headmaster seemed as annoyed as she was with the odd announcer. She took a peek at Lloyd to see if he still looked like a chipmunk then quickly looked back to the headmaster. This is when Sophia's mind actually started to wonder and wonder where Nona was. Sophia scanned the hall for the pink haired girl. Butterflies lifted in her stomach when she couldn't see her. Did she back out...? She thought as she fiddled with the napkin and chewed on her bottom lip.
Sophia turned around when the headmaster opened the door to the ballroom and people piled in. Just from peaking in put a smile on Sophia's face. The place was beautiful. She smiled confidentially at Lloyd "Come on." She told him and started walking in, looking up at the beautiful night sky then around the room and up again. She couldn't take her eyes off the beauty of the place and it made her feel so much more comfortable and happy that she came. She smiled softly when a waitress offered her a drink and she gently took it off the platter. "Thank you" She said as she looked around and found herself a seat at a table no one was at. She expected Lloyd to follow but if he didn't it was no big deal. She wasn't there with him anyways. It was just a night out for her and Nona. They were there as friends. Sophia was wondering if she should have gone to get Nona though. The thought was giving her the urge to leave and see if she was okay.

Riyel's laughter made Lloyd's face turn beet red from embarrassment. With quite a bit of effort Lloyd forced the clump of lemon bars in his cheeks down his throat. Once clear he took a deep breath thankful he didn't choke. The moment he tried to speak up, Lloyd felt a soft cloth on his mouth. The light cloth glided gently wiping his mouth clean. His bright turquoise irises never stopped watching her. As Sophia realized what she was doing, their deep gazes locked for just a second. However, the chime from the Headmaster's glass took all attention in the room. He gave a toast in honor of the new young operatives who joined the SeeD ranks this day.
Lloyd smiled as the headmaster move to open the doors of the ballroom. Suddenly the announcer's voice blared over the intercom and began describing the events of the evening. With the doors of the ballroom opened and everyone beheld the majesty of the ballroom. Stunning in every sense of the word! Lloyd was speechless as he looked in feeling out of place all of a sudden. Was this the kind of luxury he could expect as a SeeD?
Suddenly Sophia cut off his thoughts and began to walk into ballroom. "W-wait up!" he spoke up quickly catching up with her. Everything in the room called for Lloyd's attention, the amount of sheer detail and the presentation was out of this world. However, Sophia seemed right at home here. She shined in this atmosphere and was so lady like, on the other hand Lloyd seemed as comfortable as a penguin in the Kalahari.
Was this the difference between them? Every gesture, even her stride was refined and lady like. For the first time in a while, the blonde felt outclassed. Eventually she found a seat and Lloyd took one at the same table. The expression on his face was one of a young man just trying to fit in. Sure he could joke about the ball, but now that he was actually her with the young woman he wanted to be here with... he couldn't help but feel somewhat distant from her.
Sophia was beautiful, wise, and talented. Whereas, Lloyd was brash, emotionally driven, and irresponsible at times. The whole reason he became a SeeD was to protect Fisherman's Horizon, and those who lived there. But..well right now Lloyd stomach was in knots. What was making him second guess himself? Dancing with Sophia? Whatever it was...he just had a bad feeling.

Salem Everett Level: ?? Health: 100% Magic: More than you. Status: Healthy Location: The Extravagant Ballroom ____________________________________________________
It still was a lot for him to take in. Such a chance meeting couldn't even have such good odds as one in a million, which let curious thoughts drift into his head. Was this a chance known about that influence his all expenses paid move to the quaint little Winhill and it's now hub of activity known as a Garden? With trembling fingers he received that old picture, smiling faintly as he momentarily wondered how much longer the artifact of his parents would last. Though it seemed this small charm of a family long passed had secured, if not a relationship, at least the chance to establish once with blood kin.
Of course, even as he slipped the old image away, hiding it carefully among a few others he kept with him, he couldn't forget the now deceased old couple that had raised him all those years ago in Timber. His blue orbs focused on his elder sister, briefly sweeping over to her male compatriot, and as it seemed co-worker from his words. "Ah, my fair sibling. We've much time to recompense lost moments. Tonight, enjoy your celebration." He stated, with a small bow as he stepped back, before taking himself a moment to pack up his bow and violin, picking up the case and turning towards the elevator, looking back at Lisanna with a smile for a moment.
He had a stake here now, and a personal reason to stay. It was more then he usually had, and it lifted his spirit in a way that it hadn't been ever since that Winchester girl had been praised for her 'Para-Magic'. Averting his eyes though, he silently wished to himself that this wouldn't end with such a mar on him as that did. Not to even mention that she was ignorant about her-no, their family, and the addition that she was even an instructor here meant she had to at least be a SeeD. Or at least her presumed to be date was, as they were both attending this ceremony.
It was already a bit heart rending. Already he knew he couldn't be open with her, not with these circumstances. His game was already shaken enough as it was, and being neck deep in SeeD he didn't want to risk slipping up anything that could allude to their heritage. For his sake, or for hers. "You treat her good, yeah, Kal?" Salem spoke, "Enjoy the ball Lis." He said, unable to hide the truth of the down feelings that he had at the moment. Even with blood he still had that isolation that that very same blood had forced upon him since his memory began.
Stepping into the elevator as it returned from carrying Ellale and Tae, he turned around for a brief moment, finally noticing Carbuncle for the first time, turning his head to the side and quickly pressing up the up button. Letting the doors close and bring about his ascension of floors before briefly scowling having acknowledged the presence of a Guardian Force. Still, the moments solo in the elevator let him recompose, and return a masquerade of pleasant emotion to his face as he stepped out upon the third floor.
Still, upset as he was he wasn't sure if he could manage properly on his originally intended goal, and thus, he hastily made his way into the ball room. Except, unlike immediately prowling for some woman to flirt with, or some other poor victim to torture with his company, his eyes made a sweep of a room and immediately found a destination that Salem felt was needed. Solitude. Moving across the room, almost rushing, he found himself quickly emerging through the door that led out onto the balcony.
It was then and there, he almost discarded the case to his violin as he dropped it, removing it's contents without care and simply began to play for himself. To steady his own hand and emotions with music. His music, seemed far from professional at start, distraught as he felt, his finger work was sloppy and music much worse for the wear. But quickly, easily, his handiwork quickly fell into a realm that was far superior, closing his eyes as he drew the bow across the strings.
This song was just for himself, and nothing tangible that he could particularly articulate or replicate, just a assortment of notes that came from his mind, made up on the spot to help him even out. Beginning to hum along with the violin, it seemed Salem was going to stay in a state like this for the next few minutes, unless disturbed by either visitor or business.

---
Nona knew she was wasting time; the ball wasn’t going to get any less imposing with a few more minutes’ delay. It hadn’t seemed quite so...threatening earlier in the day. Out in the daylight, in town. Or maybe it was being around Sophia, who seemed almost as nervous as Nona had felt. It was easier to forget her own unease when someone else was wearing it so much more plainly. When Sophia had mumbled that she wasn’t planning to go to the ball, it had set Nona off. The memory of her rebuke earlier in the day only made her more aggravated with herself as she lingered in her dorm, pretending she needed to do this before she left, or fix that before heading out. The Nona of eight hours ago would have berated her and had every right to.
The figure in the wall mirror stared back at her as she worked up her nerve. Interrupting her thoughts, the voice of the Announcer – why did she not know his name? Weird – broke in over the PA system all throughout the Garden. The address was directed toward the graduates, but the whole Garden could hear his voice offering consolation that Nona knew from experience was meaningless. It was starting. Nona looked back at her mirror and let her inner monologue overcome the voice from the ceiling. This is nothing compared to the exam. Just...get moving Refusing to give herself the chance to back out, she headed for the door and pushed it open, moving down the hall facing stiffly forward.
For once the Announcer made himself useful; mentioning the bands gave her something else to focus on in those crucial moments. She left her guitar behind, of course, but the thought of grabbing one from some moron from a wedding band and showing the ball what real music was gave her some much-needed support from within. Some of which vanished as she emerged into the central area of the Garden and spotted a number of figures crowded around the elevator. Even at this distance, some were recognizable; the green hair of Rabbit Boy and his little sister stuck out at a hundred paces. The latter vanished into the elevator with...Nona thought it was Taeria. Between the dress and the distance, it was tricky, but the white hair was a good clue. Others she didn’t recognize; no less than two men also with platinum blonde hair. Coincidental. It didn’t matter who it was, though; Nona avoided the elevator like a plague.
A staircase nearby took Nona up to the second floor classrooms. The halls were abandoned; everyone was gathered in the ballrooms above. The same stairwell didn’t go to the third floor; the only way to the area where the headmaster resided was the elevator. Still, it let her avoid...people. By the time she reached the elevator, it had emptied out and came quickly at her button-mediated summons. Nona stepped inside, hit the button, and took a deep breath as the doors closed, sealing her in. Nowhere to go but up.
Nona made her way through the gilded doors a minute later.
The girl’s entrance was without ceremony, but that didn’t mean it was unnoticed. Even with her hair taken care of more thoroughly and her new attire, she was very much recognizable. She forsook cosmetics in favor of a natural look which failed to hide how pale her cheeks were with the thought of the ball. Nona’s dress looked no less suitable for the event than any other, but the garment made her feel...vulnerable. The wine red gown exposed so much, left her shoulders and arms bare, exposed much of her legs...Even with her cleaned up black boots, she had nothing to hide the length of her legs in front where the skirt was shortest. She stood in front of the doors for a few moments, uncomfortably unsure of where to go. Growing angry with herself for her own hesitation. What did she expect, someone to come fawn over her and sweep her into the event? Stupid. She moved off in a random direction to get out of the way, maybe find some wall to support and let this whole event just pass by...
She would have taken solace in the band’s music, perhaps, but they had yet to start playing. Instead, as she neared the edge of the room, she heard a more distant sound than any offered by the stage. Was that...a violin? The crooning of the stringed instrument gave her something to head toward. Nona avoided the center of the room out of...well, best not to think of what urged her to keep to the side. Nona found herself near the outside balcony. There was only a single occupant past the door. She thought he was one of the white-haired men she had seen earlier, but it was hard to be sure. What she was sure of was that the tune of the violin, seemingly improvised, helped soothe her own unease.
Nona found herself leaning against the wall near the door, crossing her arms in an effort to feel a little less...exposed. How did she get talked into this dress again? She shook her head faintly and focused on the music, her eyes distantly taking in the palatial room in front of her. If she actually went out onto the balcony, she'd never come back inside, so she anchored herself nearby.
It was going to be a long evening.

Riyel "The Quiet One" Vicaria Now I think I understand How this world can overcome a man Like a friend we saw it through In the end I gave my life for you Gave you all I had to give Found a place for me to rest my head While I may be hard to find Heard there's peace just on the other side
Not that I could or that I would Let it burn under my skin, let it burn Junction: Ifrit Level: 6 Health: 560/560 Location: Winhill Magic: Fire(3) & Ice(2) Mood: Unsure of what to do. §▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲ {{Ooc:// }} {Current Theme Song: Dear God- Avenged Sevenfold}
Riyel simply watched as Sophia walked away, Lloyd following in her footsteps like a lovesick puppy. It was cute, neverless and it was something that Lloyd seemed to feel no awkwardness in. Lloyd's emotions got the better of him and he followed them to a T but that was how Lloyd was. It made him who he was and who was Riyel to judge on character and judgmental faults? He too, had his own, and it would be quite hypocritical if he said anything otherwise. At that, Riyel merely stood and walked towards a table lined with assorted drinks and fruit, examining the crowd to let the time pass by, as well as not to appear as a peeping tom at Lloyd and Sophia. Let them have their moment. It was more than Riyel could ever wish for. Lloyd and Sophia were good people. They deserved this time.
With a smile, he turned and grit his teeth as Nona entered the room, a wine red dress covering her frame. He didn't know why but his insides started to churn and twist at the sight of her, his eyes closing for a moment as he collected his thoughts before opening them again. Aye...she was here and looking...radiant. But as Riyel examined her entrance, he noticed how she seemed...uncomfortable, if not at least a little bit timid at the activity around her. What Riyel was used to seeing was a woman brimming with self confidence that led the charge into battle. Or at least he had seen. But here, Nona appeared to be no less timid than a deer. Riyel may not be the most socially inept but that was simply because he felt as if he had nothing to say to anyone. But Nona was always confident...so why did she appear this way? Deep within, the blonde haired young man felt an inclined urge to go and speak with her but there was some sort of nagging doubt hanging within his chest. A stab of slight pain at what possible outcomes could blossom from the encounter. I need a drink. Riyel told himself, resigned. Turning, he grabbed a glass and drank its contents before doing so to another, shaking at the taste. Okay...
Quietly then, he grabbed another drink but another after that as well, sucking in a deep breath as he sauntered over to where the girl leaned against the wall, the sounds of a violin permeating through the door. "Going to a long night it seems...doesn't it?" Riyel said with a sense of assurance, a small smile on his face. He offered the drink in his right hand to her, he himself standing to her left side, relaxed.

Kalay felt like he suddenly wasn't needed in the situation when Salem and Lis started talking, so taking the hint he relaxed back against the railing between walkway and reflection pool as he watched them. Carbuncle settled down in his lap, but seemed very unhappy about something. 'I don't like him.' 'Be fair. You just met him.' It seemed like the two were just watching Lisanna and Salem, but they were actually talking back and forth about the situation. It seemed like Carbuncle didn't like Salem, but Kalay seemed completely fine with him. Eventually, while the two siblings of white in front of him spoke, Kalay managed to talk Carbuncle down to a relaxed state, and the GF curled up in his lap to take a nap, Kalay stroking it's fur very gently. It was during this time that Kalay watched the two in front of him with a rather passive expression, his yellow eyes seeming to show he was amused at the meeting even if his expression showed very little. He was happy for them, and it reminded him of coming home to see Ellale after being away for so long, granted he had always known he had a sister, so it also wasn't the same.
It seemed that Salem had a picture, of which Lisanna seemed to take as the proof she needed. She did something odd though, looking over at Kalay and apologizing for 'making him wait', as if Kalay ever felt like he needed to do anything in a hurry. "I'm quite fine, actually." Kalay said in an amused tone, motioning to Carbuncle whom appeared to be fast asleep. The situation changed yet again though when Salem said he would have time to talk to them later, and that Lis should enjoy her evening. He finally directed something to Kalay, calling him Kal, probably because Lisanna just had, not that Kalay minded. "I didn't plan otherwise." Kalay responded with a nod to the young man before watching Salem walk away almost oddly. Carbuncle looked up and met Salem's eyes, getting a scowl. "I really don't like him." the GF thought bitterly, looking up at Kalay whom smirked down at him. "Good thing you're not related to him, huh?' He teased.
Annoyed with this, Carbuncle jumped from Kalay's lap and wandered towards the elevator, sitting next to it while watching the two instructors. It honestly looked like the GF was pouting, making Kalay chuckle as he watched it. "Well, I suppose we should join the festivities. It sounds like they've started." Kalay was right in that regard, even though the reflection pool was silent, there was a certain pressure to the air that suggested a lot of sound above them. Kalay got to his feet and made his way to the elevator, pulling his hands into his pockets as he went, seemingly very relaxed, compared to carbuncle who looked irritated. "Don't be so bitter, Carbuncle. He won't steal Lis away from you. You're too easily made to be jealous." Kalay teased, getting what may or may not have been an annoyed look from Carbuncle. With that, Kalay pressed the elevator button, one of the other elevators opening. Kalay motioned for Lis to go first, Carbuncle padding into the elevator with a huff.

Kyrrdis LaineWinhill's Azure Wolf "Kyrrdis. It is with great wariness that I will even reluctantly not turn you away and have you return to your quarters." "C'mon, heady! I only slipped up that one time, and it's not like anyone was really hurt." "Heady? Hrm... As I recall, Ms. Victoria was threatening to press charges, as well as a number of other guests. It took a great deal of effort on our part to convince them That was an isolated incident and that you were in no way behaving in such a manner around the students." "Victiora... Victiora... Ah! Alex! Odd, I always thought she would have liked that sort of thing..." "Clearly that was not the case. The uproar aside, Sou-Ho was present at the time as well. Who knows the adverse effects that had on him." "Haha! He's fine, he's fine. Hm. That would explain the dark look every time he looks at me... Ah! There it is, do you see it?!" "Well, I will permit you to come in and enjoy yourself... but don't let a repeat of That happen again. Otherwise I will have to give you the option of wearing a tailored chasity belt, or taking your job as instructor. That said, limit yourself on what you drink. And for godsake, man, do us all a favor and stay away from Victoria!" "Hoo... she's here tonight is she?" "Yes, and I wou-- Kyrrdis!"
Waving a hand over his shoulder, the combat instructor left the headmaster where he stood, the older man sighing as he turned away and returned to a previous conversation with a now bewildered group of guests. Kyrrdis was grinning as he looked around the ball, admiring the work, as well as the works. 'Man, it's good to be back.' He thought, taking a hors d'oeuvre from off of the tray of a passing waitress, popping the odd crumbly creation into his mouth without even bothering to look at what it was he had consumed. It had been some years since he had been allowed into one of Winhill's events, Kyrrdis having been grounded from them for being a little too merry. 'Now then, where's Victoria?' He wondered, looking around the room looking for a glimpse of the blond beauty.
Any students who looked upon Kyrrdis would have had to do a double take to recognize the man for who he was. Dressed up in the formal SeeD attire, and with his bandanna no where to be seen, even his usual scraggly growth of hair on his chin was shaven clean. Brown hair shortly cropped, he looked every bit the role a soldier. And if not for mischievous grin, and that gleam in his eyes, he would have been easily mistaken for one of the security team whose members were posted around the ballroom. As he was now he looked nothing more than a troublemaker, and that's how he intended to be perceived.
"Aha!" Kyrrdis grinned widely, stroking his bare chin as his eyes fell upon a slight figure with blond hair. It was not the original target of his search, but still yet the instructor moved towards the person, cracking his knuckles and rolling his neck and shoulders as he grew closer. "Yo! Lloyd!" Grappling Lloyd from behind, arms seizing the young operative. "What's are doing with a face like that in a place like this? If you aren't careful you'll ruin the whole ball!" Kyrrdis, having spent enough time with Lloyd to learn his facial expressions and guess the thoughts behind them, didn't need to be told what it was that was troubling the young man. Not when the fine beauty Lloyd was infatuated with stood not ten paces away. 'Guess I'd better cheer the kid up.' Kyrrdis thought, eyes shining as evil thoughts brewed in his head.

It wasn’t just that it was strange that had her itching to go, it was one of the boys, the one that looked like her, Hiro, that had her wanting to get out of the situation as fast as they could go. Making their way up the stairs Tae was rather quiet compared to any other time when she hung out with Ellale. But to see the skip return to the young girls walk as they made their way up to the next level made her smile. She was glad to see that her Kitten was in better spirits and feeling a bit better if not still a little sore. It was to be expected after what they went through. Her hand fell to her side as Ellale released it to skip into the elevator twirling as she did. Tae’s smile brightened up her face and reached her eyes a bit. The dress was rather stunning and was enough for Tae to stop for another moment to take her in before she joined her. Tae tried not to think of why Hiro was here or the fact that he was hanging out with Mrs. Everetts long lost brother; which was just strange on its own. Instead she focused on the girl next to her, her partner to the dance, her friend and maybe even more than that. She listened to their soft breathing slightly echoing in the elevator before blinking upon the broken silence. It was then that she realized she’d been staring at Ellale. Turning her head she pondered on the idea. To be honest she hadn’t a clue what it all meant. “Perhaps only time will tell us what that all entails. I’m sure each operate is still learning things each and every day. If they didn’t, it wouldn’t be much of a way in living. I’m not sure about you but I enjoy learning something.” Then again it also depended on what that was as well. Her brother was a fine example of that. She hadn't liked it when she spotted him. So many emotions flowed through her at once it was hard to contain and perhaps even too painful. Perhaps that was the true reason why she wanted to leave and head up to the ball that already sounded like it had started. The elevators opened revealing to them a long hallway where they had been earlier that day with the head master. Tables of food lined the walls where anyone could put together their meal. At the end of the hallway opposite of where the headmaster’s office sat was the ball room. From where she stood it had a golden hue to it. It was a breath taking sight to behold indeed. Unlike the other students that had made their way up here before them, they didn't have to wait to head right in. Holding out a hand to Ellale she headed towards the food first. “I’m starving.” In fact she hadn't had much to eat all that day. Hopefully though she didn't over stuff herself and get sick. ღ OOC: ღ

Takahiro Limmari It appeared to Hiro that once again people over looked him. There were times when that was a good thing and others where it annoyed the hell out of him. So he merely stood there probably looking like a fool as he watched things play out. The shocker was that apparently this new woman and Salem were siblings, if their looks were anything to go by. He watched as his “friend” got rather emotional over it as the two of them spoke. Kalay had walked off to the side and sat down with… a green fuzz ball? If he had to guess it was the mans GF, guardian force, though he’d never seen other peoples just walk around like this one did. As far as he knew they had to be summoned. He’d seen Tae’s once though the little devil wasn’t very nice to anyone, not even Tae herself. It was as if he resented being her GF. Was that even possible? Or perhaps it was the fact that so many found it so adorable and fondled over it? Who could say really.
His eyes shot over to Tae and the green haired girl as they spoke softly to each other before walking away, Tae giving him one last look. Was she mad at him? Shock splayed across his face though it had no business there. It wouldn’t have, shouldn’t have surprised him that she was mad after the way he’d been treating her. Whatever, he didn’t care what she thought of him. Turning away he let them be. It wasn’t like he’d wanted to talk to them anyways. It had been Salem’s idea to talk to them but they’d been interrupted and then distracted.
It seemed that things started to die down and before he knew it Salem had just left in one of the elevators biding his sister a good evening and that Kal, as Salem referred to him as, had better take good care of his sister. Was the man dating his sister? He wasn’t paying that much attention to their conversation so he had no idea. He watched as the rest of the group started to climb onto another elevator and was gone before he realized fully that everyone had left, leaving him to stand there alone. He blinked gazing around himself. Yup. He was alone. The eerie silence that was left but the humming of the elevators that stopped on floor three. He could only assume that was the floor where the dance or ball was being held. He could join them or take the time to wander around. He’d been promised free food so eventually he’d go up to eat some of that food. However, for now he decided he’d take a look around. It might be the only time he’d get a good look at things.
"Suppose it does help to appear invisible to others." Hiro turned and walked away from the elevators.

Even if I can't win against anyone, I won't lose to myself. But for sure, my losses will make me grow stronger! Junctions: Leviathan Level: 6 Health: 500/500 Mood: Dangit I can't move! Location: Winhill Garden Magic: Water (3), Blizzard (2)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Song(s) of the moment: Laughter and Merriment
As Lloyd was lost in his pit of self pity, he suddenly began to register a growing level of pain. Hm...it was familiar...and ow ow OW!!! Lloyd completely forgot about his sadness for the moment and attempted to struggle against the simple hold. Truthfully it didn't hurt too much, but more times than naught there were bones cracking and muscle straining before long. It was funny, since Lloyd was assigned under Kyrrdis's as his pupil each day made him a bit more resilient. The man worked the boy to the bone from dawn to dusk and never let up. Thanks to being raised in Fisherman's horizon Lloyd could take it, however fishing and running 99 laps around the garden were two very different things.
Though, through it all Kyrrdis seemed to take pride in Lloyd and had raised him a fair bit as well. Lloyd even brought Kyrrdis with him to Fisherman's Horizon to meet his parents....which ended in Father Nepal and Kyrrdis flexing at one another. The Azure Wolf was practically part of the family. So much so, Lloyd parents requested Kyrrdis continue to help Lloyd grow into a formidable SeeD operative.
Hopefully they could return to Fisherman's Horizon with Lloyd in his uniform proudly. But first, the blonde had to survive the night. "I-I've got no idea what you're talking about!" he said trying to struggle out of the hold. This may have looked troublesome, but Lloyd's expression lightened up quite a bit as opposed to earlier.

Salem Everett Level: ?? Health: Complete Magic: Plenty Left Status: Unhappy Location: Some Old Man's Office ____________________________________________________
After a few moments his melody had begun to wane, not only in sound, as he was becoming less enthused, but also by the artistry. He had found himself repeating several times little bits that, well, he simply felt unsatisfied with. Not to mention he plainly didn't find them to sound very good. Yet maybe that was the point of it all, music was universal, and that was generally how he felt, unpleasant. However, even so, he could live with all of that if only he could push aside the anger he felt that his own Sister was one of them.
A SeeD. And after all of these years, all this time. She turned out to be amongst the enemies ranks. Ending his solo performance with a final, violent feeling, hate filled screech that was a mere offense to the auditory senses in general, the boy let his arms fall to his sides. Violin and bow gripped in hand, honestly almost a bit too hard but his own body fought the emotions to keep his instrument intact. In fact, it was enough of this odd, natural emotion to protect his instrument that he took the time to kneel over and return it safely to it's case, closing it as he turned away from the balcony.
Suddenly though, it was as if Salem had found resolution, his eyes told a different story then from the man who had initially came to simply observe. His sister was here, and what all they knew about her was a dangerous thing to himself if they knew her ancestry. With a sigh, Salem stepped back inside and turned to the nearest person next to him. Well, until he noticed the woman right next to the man in a stunning red dress. Putting a hand on Riyel's shoulder, he pulled the man back as he stepped through the space Riyel was to find himself standing in front of Nona.
While, unfortunately unable to completely enjoy this unknowingly rare yet delectable spectacle that Nona was in this dress, the musician managed a smile as he bowed his head slightly. "You, Madam, are a wonder in that dress, if I may dare to compliment you." He opened with, not bothering to acknowledge some habits died hard. "And, while I hate to be forced to leave without even requesting a dance." He continued, his smile vanishing from his lips as he became serious. "I implore you, keep my violin safe for me. Just for a little while." And with that, he silently leaned his violin case next to her, instrument and bow inside, before simply leaving her there, waving slightly over his shoulder as he left.
If anything, at least he had a reason to look for that woman again. That face and those legs were something that probably would stick to his mind more then what was necessary. Though unlike Ellale where it was the emerald that had struck him, that woman had a different sort of draw. Whatever it was, beyond the mere attractive image she made as a whole, he wasn't going to forget who she was soon. Still, stepping his way along the outside of the room, he stepped out into the hallway, his pace suddenly picking up as he silently cast float and haste to himself.
Though he knew he had a minor chance of being seen casting, these weren't rare spells, though perhaps a bit difficult to gain, not to mention he knew most students had their minds on the celebration and ball. Not on some chump dressed like he was. And between that ball and the empty hallway, perhaps Lady Luck wasn't done yet with the young male yet this day. Sprinting through the hallway, Salem managed a quick stop at the Headmaster's chambers, taking a small peak inside before ducking into the room, quietly closing the door behind him.
Letting his eyes flash around the room, quickly taking a hold of it's immediate layout to try and keep himself straight if he got carried away, Salem went straight for the Headmaster's desk. With a huff, he looked over the desk for a moment, before getting to work, opening drawers and cabinets, beginning to dig through what files he could as he searched for his sisters name. As well as stopping to pull out any plans of action that might have been laying about in interest of self preservation. Only thing he could do now was cross his fingers and pray that the Ball gave him enough time to complete his primary objective.

Though he seemed to have been distracted by everything, how the place looked and all. She took a sip from her drink before she scanned the place and just as she did she saw a beautiful red dress enter the room. In the dress was Nona. A smile appeared on her face and some comfort washed over her. If Nona could do this then so could Sophia. Getting dressed up and going to formal occasions as never a problem for Sophia. Being from a high classed family she went to a lot of formal parties as a child before her parents passed. What Sophia couldn't do was socialize. She never had to at her parent's formal parties. But tonight was specifically to socialize and celebrate. Though Nona seemed to have the opposite problem as Sophia, she was still here trying to face it. This pushed Sophia to face her problem.
Sophia was about to get up and go see Nona when Riyel beat her too it. Sophia griped her cup a bit and watched the two interact. Maybe she should just go talk to Nona later. She looked down at her cup and made the liquid inside it twirl and swirl in the cup, watching it as she awkwardly sat with a quiet Lloyd. A Quiet Lloyd? Sophia blinked and looked up from her cup to Lloyd just in time to see his friend grab him from behind and attempt to cheer him up. Or so she thought that's how me do it. She smiled a bit as they interacted. "I think I will go grab a snack." She said to them and stood, not letting them answer before she walked away and out of the ball room to where the food was.
Tae and Ellale were the first people her eyes laid upon. She blushed a bit when she saw the girls holding hands. Being socially awkward it felt even more awkward for Sophia to see something out of the ordinary. She quickly reverted her eyes to the food and nervously spoke. "You ladies look nice tonight." She said as she reached for some vegetables instead of sweet treats. She felt if she didn't say anything to the girls she would be being rude. Otherwise she probably would have grabbed her food and ran the opposite direction. Things just seemed to be getting harder and harder for her. M-maybe I should just go back to my room She thought as she put some dip on her plate.

By the time she had found her position to lurk at the periphery of the ball, Nona had forgotten about Sophia, one of the few reasons she was able to spur herself to show up here. Just as she raised her eyes to scan the ball room for her, however, none other than Riyal appeared, just settling in beside her. She tried to hide her surprise, but her back notably stiffened at the sight of someone she knew (sort of) seeing her like this. As she gingerly took the cup, she chastised herself for her gut reaction. If there was anyone here she shouldn’t have been bothered by, it was Vicaria. He had been at her side almost the entire mission as her underling. He didn’t speak much, but he followed orders well enough in their small period working together. This mollified her distress some; enough that she was able to lean back against the wall as she, in a very unrefined manner, sniffed at her drink. Whatever she was looking for in it, she seemed to find it acceptable and took a sip before replying.
”Parties aren’t your thing, either?” Nona asked rather than give a direct answer; her answer was clear enough in the question anyway. She took in the sight of him despite this. He seemed perfectly at home in the setting, to be honest. He cleaned up well enough, had his outfit in order, and sure looked a whole lot more comfortable than she felt. Was it something he knew that she didn’t? No, probably not. He sort of always looked like this. He hadn’t been much different on the mission, even prepared for battle. Something in that knowledge was comforting, though.
The tinge of conversation with Riyel had distracted the young woman. It wasn’t until she had asked her own question that she realized the violin music had stopped. Before she could move to investigate, none other than the player himself emerged from the balcony door she had settled in near...and turned straight to her. The smile he put on immediately made her want to react, assuming he was going to offer a mocking comment about the dress or something even though he didn’t know her. Again, he beat her to the punch, though...with a bow and a compliment that seemed entirely sincere. Nona blinked, clearly caught off-guard by the comment; enough that she didn’t have a retort ready before he pressed on. Talking about...a dance? No, he wasn’t asking her; still, the thought made her cheeks color. Nona must really have been off her game in this setting, because she was left speechless even as he walked away. The girl found herself waving back at him with her free hand; she wasn’t sure if he was still looking when she caught herself doing so and hastily forced her hand back down.
She had been left flustered, but also accompanied by his instrument. Nona shared a glance with Riyel; one that both spoke of her embarrassment and told the young man that any smart comments were probably going to earn him one kind of punch or another in the face. ”That was...uh...” she attempted, before realizing that she didn’t know how she felt about the strange meeting. Hoping she wasn’t blushing as much as she thought in front of her own subordinate, she turned her face away and toward the violin case. A simple hefting of it with her free hand told her that the instrument was indeed inside. It wasn’t her guitar, but she had a soft spot for the instrument too. Between the attention of two boys, Nona was left feeling more out of her league than ever.
It was going to be a long night, indeed.

Riyel "The Quiet One" Vicaria Now I think I understand How this world can overcome a man Like a friend we saw it through In the end I gave my life for you Gave you all I had to give Found a place for me to rest my head While I may be hard to find Heard there's peace just on the other side
Not that I could or that I would Let it burn under my skin, let it burn Junction: Ifrit Level: 6 Health: 560/560 Location: Winhill Magic: Fire(3) & Ice(2) Mood: Unsure of what to do. §▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲ {{Ooc:// }} {Current Theme Song: Dear God- Avenged Sevenfold}
His face turned red. Not a blush, but a straight flush of red that would generally be unaccustomed to the young man. Riyel's face furrowed as he was pulled back before he could answer Nona in a respectful manner but some....jerk got into his way and stood between them before he could. What a jackass. Riyel thought, before stopping himself. Whoa....where had that come from? Quickly though, as the other young man left, Riyel's eyes following him for a couple of seconds afterwards, his right hand clenched in a fist at more or less being interrupted and outdone by the violinist. However, he had swiped his face of any hostile emotion towards the other young man, his right hand being the only hint that he was....frustrated...yes, that was the word, frustrated.
He ignored Nona's blush, for her sake and sanity as well as his own. Knowing the girl, at least to a point, if he made any sort of remark, either derogatory or observant, he'd probably receive a black eye the moment afterwards. Yet Riyel simply closed his eyes in order to clear his head before responding. It took a minute.
"Most things aren't my thing." He replied, calmly, after a moment, "I simply adjust, like a chameleon if you will. That's how you generally survive. Adjusting and adapting to the certain environment you are in. Parties however, are a part of my job description. Who else do you think cleans up after these...fiascoes? That's the only reason I'm well acquainted with these things. I'm usually cleaning up after or serving the individuals that come here." And that was the truth, he was the janitor's grandson before she passed and he took over her job in order to maintain a cash flow while he studied and worked. Needless to say, most of the other SeeD Trainees targeted him for their own share of 'bullying.' Not that Riyel cared, at least on the outside.
He looked at Nona, his eyes not their normal relaxed appearance, but rather more narrow and inquisitive. Towards what, anyone could guess. His eyes simply looked into her own, not showing any shred of 'intimidation' that others were shown by the presence of the girl. But it wasn't as if he was trying to be intimidating himself, he just knew that he wasn't...as threatened or intimidated by her as others were. As he could adjust to most situations, he could also adjust to most people. Most.
▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§ I hope it's worth it Here on the highway, yeah I know you'll find your own way When I'm not with you
So tell everybody The ones who walk beside me, yeah I hope you'll find your own way When I'm not with you tonight
