((Bandit & Atrocity Meeting.))
Meeki Bandit walked along the clearing. She wasn't quite sure where she was headed but wasn't paying attention either. She hadn't seen her sister for a few days and was starting to miss her deeply. Ailurinae was probably off exploring, like usual.
"Never saw no fun in 'splorin, meself," she mumbled under her breath. What was there to explore, really? Her sister would be content chasing a butterfly for hours. Bandit shook her head gently and continued to walk. She loved the evening when the night grew dark. She loved everything dark. At least the day always ended well for nothing could beat the beauty of the night.
Fidsah Stealing out from the depths of the growing gloom, Atrocity suddenly loomed over Bandit. His nostrils flared momentarily as he took in the sight before him. His lips pulled back in a rictus of malicious glee.
"Well, what have we here?" he asked. "A little lady out for a nice little stroll? What brings you out here, this time of night..." His voice turned threatening as he finished the question. "...all alone?"
Meeki Bandit reared back at the sudden intrusion to her privacy. Who the hell did he think he...
Bandit's mouth dropped open at the sight of the stallion. Words excaped her and thoughts fled. After a moment, she finally mustered up a reply, "Nothing wrong with being alone."
The creature before her was amazing. Eerily, scarily, most certainly frightening but amazing nonetheless. She wanted to ask him what he was but once again the words refused to come out so she just stopped and stared and the strange intruder.
Fidsah Snorting once, Atrocity gave a reply. "There's nothing wrong, of course, until you find yourself wishing you weren't. I can make that happen. Here, where there's no one else to see, no one else to hear."
Atrocity took a step forward. "Don't you know you're not supposed to talk to... strangers?" He chuckled darkly.
Meeki "Are ye threatnin' me or are ye asking me?" Bandit was confused. She had come across some mean Soquili before and considered herself one of them but never had one actually threatened her.
As he took a step closer, she took a step back in response. "Ye suren look strange. But how is one s'posed to know who really be strange and who be not if they don't talk? No one tells me what to do anyhow." Bandit wasn't quite sure what to think about this male. Something wasn't right though. What if he really did want to hurt her? At least he was.. different.
Fidsah "Take it as you will." His eyes narrowed dangerously. He came close to a snarl, but then seemed to rethink his next action. His head rolled ever so slightly to one side for half a moment before he spoke again.
"Know you, how might you look, if you had survived the fires of Hell?" Atrocity's head cocked ever so slightly to the other side. "Might you want to find out? You might, if you tell me what I may not do again." Atrocity took yet another step forward.
Meeki Bandit took another step back. She wondered if she should kick the stallion and make a run for it. She wasn't sure what he was speaking of but it didn't sound good. She believed he was capable of doing great harm to anyone he had half a mind to. She just hoped he wouldn't want to hurt her.
"If ye don't like what I be saying, then don't listen to me. Ye spit yer threats o' like a snake's venom and ye be doing a good job a'scarin me too, but ye aren't my master and ye can't be telling me what to do. I have not told ye what ye should be doin' or not either so no disrespect was had." Bandit took another step back for good measure. "Suren there's a lot of mares in this area that be simple minded and would faint at the sight o'ye. Ye be wastin yer time with me." Though she wouldn't admit it, her heart was beating very quickly and she wasn't sure if she was incapable of fainting herself.
Fidsah Baring his fangs, Atrocity took a powerful step forward as his wings flared back. "Fear is one thing." He took another powerful step forward, and flared his wings outward. "Pain. Pain is another."
He dipped his head, bringing forward his sharp horn. Snapping back the powerful muscles in his neck, he brought the horn up violently.
"Wasting my time? I think not. Though, if I am, I may have to find another way to make this encounter more... interesting... Wouldn't you agree?" Atrocity took one more violent step forward.
Meeki Bandit took a few more steps back. That horn did look like it could tear through flesh easily enough and she was sure he would do that if the mood struck him. She snorted nervously and glanced around to see if anyone was nearby. Perhaps he would grow bored with her soon and move on to a new victim.
"Don't much agree with ye, meself and the way I be figurin', it's time for me t'be leaving anyhow. Good luck finding others t'make mis'rable and all." Bandit lowered her head in an act of respect while continuing walking backwards.
She still didn't know what to think of the male. He probably would have been considered handsome if his features weren't twisted up to look so evil and ugly. She couldn't help but admire the raw evilness of him. As much as she wanted to know more about him.. she couldn't wait to get as far away from him as possible.
((To be continued..))

Meeki Whisper tossed his head back and grinned as Yei followed. At first she seemed further back but when he turned to look again, she was closer. Perhaps her smaller frame gave her an advantage.. or perhaps he just wasn't very fast. He charged forward as a rush came over him and the apple trees were just in sight.
He slowed down as he came nearer to them and stopped a few feet away. He looked around on the ground for any ripe apples but most appeared to have bruises from the fall. Whisper reared up on his hind legs and plucked a nice looking apple from a branch and dropped it on the ground nearby. He repeated the process a few more times so that he and Yei could have a couple apples each. What a sweet treat they could be.
Turning he nudged a couple of the apples to Yei's direction. "They are very tasty," he assured her.
---------
Meeki smiled. "Well then, I will definately accept your invitation to guide me so that I can see the mountain you speak of so fondly." She walked over and picked out the band he had admired. Kneeling beside Achak, she clasped the band around his wrist, blushing faintly.
"What a nice fit. It's almost perfect!" she exclaimed happily. She pulled herself up and went back to her rock, absently brushing off the dirt that clung stubbornly to her dress.
"You're quite the athlete." Yei mused delicately as she watched him rear up and expertly pluck the apples from the branches - granted she could have done that herself but not qith the same amount of balance that he could mustre, how did he maintain balance like that anyway?
She gave a small snort though as she caught her breath and very tentatively lowered her head to sniff at one of the apples before trapping it beneath her hoof and biting into it, needless to say she gave a small whicker of appreciation as she savoured the sweet juices that ran from its centre and onto her tongue - these were much better than grass.
"You're right, they are." She mused before furrowing her brow, "How did you find them?"
---
"Mmm..." He glanced at the band now ensnaring his wrist and seemed to nod appreciatively as he took the opportunity to admire the small jewels upon it - it had been a while since he had last worn any sort of decoration and he couldn't help but release a chuckle.
"We come down the mountain side to gather herbs and return to it decorated as though we had just been to a festival." He jested, referring to Yei's now braided tail and his newly acquired jewel, "It is beautiful but I must confess that it may become damaged in my wanderings so if I may -" He readjusted his legs until he was more comfortable.
"May I request permission to visit you should it be in need of repair?"

A delicate smile flicked across the equine's lips as she continued to nibble on the apple in silence. It wasn't that she didn't want to talk but she deemed it rude to talk with her mouth full and the majority of the time she was never easily understood - it came out as 'erfujnidarqu?'...
"I see," At last she afforded herself the time to lift her head and arch her neck in order to relieve the tension in her neck, "I must confess I rarely spend time in the forest, it is usually just a transitional area between my home and the Clearings where most congrigate." She explained and shook her mane (which had of course been tended to) so that the sun's rays could tentatively caress at the number of colours riddled throughout it - if anything that was the most 'firey' part of her being with the exception of her personality.
Still, although she refrained from admitting it she had taken the opportunity to steal the occasional glance at his own subtly coloured coat and had to admit that she was terribly envious of such a plain and yet exquisite colour - she had always found that most deemed her too colourful to be of any interest.
"So, what other foods do you like?" She enquired curiously as she snuffled at another apple and set her hoof on it once again, "Just apples?"
---
"We all require a little company now and again." He agreed as he watched her eyes light up briefly, it was in this that he began to wonder if she deemed it necessary to hide how she felt all the time - if so, he was going to have quite a hard time deciphering it all because he was horrible when it came to understanding women (even his mother scared him).
"And I don't deem it as kind in keeping someone company, in all honesty I am doing this for reason of my own too -" He grinned childishly and tapped at his cheek as though in thought, "I mean, wouldn't every man stop to talk with a pretty woman when he encountered her?" He jested lightly.

"There's very little to eat up there," Yei gave a lose shrug as she bit into the apple and swallowed a chunk, her gaze focused on his hooves for a while until she had finished, "Very coarse grass, it lacks in nutrients but it's strong enough to survive the winter thanks to such harsh conditions on the mountainside," She explained and gave a chuckle as she took another bite out of her apple.
It was during the process of chewing that she began to consider his offer of escorting her back to her home, it was terribly chivalrous and it certainly wasn't a gesture she was used to but it did bring a pleasurable flutter to her chest that made her eyes gleam for the briefest of instance...
"I usually head home once it is dark," She confessed at last and lifted her head so that she could fix her gaze on his fine features as opposed to dining on the apple continuously, "When everyone else has deemed it necessary to return to their teepees I make my way back up the slopes - I prefer to be sociable and it can be quite lonely in the mountains." She explained more fully and flicked her gaze upwards for a few moments and towards the mists.
"I've never encountered anythign horrible but -" She smiled shyly and shuffled her hooves for a few moments as though self-concious, "And escort would be lovely."
---
"Well," Achak looked up critically to survey the sunlight flickering through the canopy. So far, the light of day seemed to remain and the hours were becoming longer as spring approached so he wasn't in that much of a rush - although he did get the feeling she was trying to make him leave with continual references to when he would be leaving.
"I was going to pursue other herbs in the forest for a few more hours." He murmured as he turned his gaze back to his back before flicking it towards Meeki once more, his eyebrow raised inquisitively.
"Although I have the suspicion you would rather I wandered off now, I am sorry if I outstayed my welcome?"
