Regardless of the cries of outrage unfolding around him, Christof could only stand and gape.
The school.... was closing?
Really... for good?
They were being sent home.
He stepped back from the crowds bombarding the boogeymen, oblivious to any quiet plots. He could only stare.
He couldn't go home. Master would know about this... he would summon him immediately. He... he couldn't. He couldn't, not after what happened, not after...
Panic bubbled in his throat, his hands shaking as he stepped back, away from the surge of students.

If her heart had a pulse, it would have stopped. If the blood in her body wasn't already chilled, it would have frozen. Instead she only felt empty; void of everything at that given moment.
She stumbled through the crowd bumping into Shehk along the way. Her face was slack jawed at the messages posted. They couldn't relocate. Not now, not again. She had nothing outside this school, her friends, more like family and loved ones would be scattered about. She would have nothing left after her life was finally getting somewhere decent again considering everything that had happened.
"They can't... they can't shut this down. I don't. I don't have anything outside of this school. I don't have family, and you guys.... if they take you and send you." She stared at the gate, she swallowed at a lump in her throat the desire to scream, to cry, to beat the FEAR out of something welling in her chest.
"Why the ******** can't they just leave us alone?"

The weremantis looked around, slightly paranoid that the obvious agitation from boil would attract negative attention. But with the general turmoil it was unlikely they would be noticed so he said nothing. He could feel himself getting more and more agitated, and for the first time since he was a child he found himself longing to revert to his natural form for the sheer comfort of it, his skin almost itching give way. "I do not know the full truth of what happened, but closing the school does not seem like a good idea," he all but snapped, knowing it was not Alexander's fault but irritated to the point that he could no longer remain calm. "Even if the staff was lying they could investigate them and keep the school open. I am not prepared to leave and have no desire to." I have no place to return to. That more than anything had shaken him. It was just his luck, he finally ran away from home, finally made some decisions about his own life, and now the school he had chosen was closing. He may have been tempted to go pack, but with a few patched changes of clothing there was very little to actual pack. "Is it even safe to stay here? They boogeymen will not actually harm students will they?"

Barth found Christof's arm. He could not be described, in almost every case, as a physical person. In this case, he gripped Christof's arm, and stood very close. Barth was paler than usual.
"We need- I need to talk to you," Barth said.
He was not attached to Amityville, particularly. But he needed time. Siddie's situation needed time. That could survive the transfer- maybe, probably, but if there was undue pressure...he couldn't deal with the engagement dissolution like he had planned. Calder's situation was bad. Calder wouldn't be transferred. His presence at the school was experimental, and his clan would jump on any sign that it had failed. He wasn't strong enough to challenge his fiance. That was all bad.
Christof's situation...was dire.

Avid_Rper18 Hey Babe! Outside the school, looks like they closed it down for now, I think I might have to crash with you for awhile if this isn't solved..... Or he could sleep outside or whatever, didn't matter to him.
He looked around for anyone he knew, his eyes instantly finding his friend and fellow second year.
"Tybalt!" He called out.---- Amphi sighed as she was shoved out of her home, her rainbow nekogiri clung to her shoulder as it was the only minipet allowed to leave as they closed down the school.
Her hands held the soft kitten, one that clung to her tightly in fear of being left behind as she looked around. Where did she go now? Especially now that they had forced her out of her aquatic home.
"N...Now what?" She sighed into the cat's fur. This happened, all after the stupid hunters had come. Every thing was going downhill! Did she have to return to her sea home now? What about Mac? She searched around for the reaper boy, hoping he was alright.

Christof jumped at the sudden touch, but at the sight of who it was, his expression went blank, his hand gripping Barth's wrist tightly as he nodded obediently. They did need to talk. Any ideas Barth had would be welcome. But at that moment... he was at a loss. His brain felt fuzzy.

Just as it seemed like some of the students were ready to flat-out riot, the secretary started shuffling back. Or rather, it might have been the secretary, it was hard to tell under boxes and boxes of strange grey thermometer-like objects, papers, pencils: enough material to carry out classes and classes of exams. Oddly enough, the bogeyman trailing him was nowhere in sight.
The secretary dramatically dropped the boxes right in front of the bogeyman manning the gates, taking a second to catch his breath before remarking just as dramatically: "Standardized Testing Examinations."
Before any student or teacher could wonder if Arel had finally gone off the deep end talking about exams when the school was closing, the secretary pulled out a very crinkled piece of parchment, from under his cloak, out of all places. At the very bottom of the paper was a seal, the official stamp of the Town Hall Mayor. He began reading. "A school, at any point in time, may partake in the annual Standardized Testing Examinations to assess the school's credibility and validity. Should the school pass the Standardized Examinations, it will be given the right to continue operating for another year until the next Standardized Testing Examination."
There was a poignant pause as the bogeymen contorted his features into a snarl and grabbed the paper from the secretary, scanning it himself. "Amityville Academy has already been approved to be closed down-"
-"Then in the probationary period while the school is still a school, we still have the rights to complete this?" The secretary was nowhere as threatening as the bogeyman, looking more like a really angry puffed up foxfire, but he did try to look intimidating.
The bogeyman looked about ready to tear the paper apart right on the spot. He looked at the students, and then at the secretary and faculty again. "If you insist on playing this game. You will have twenty-four hours to host the Standardized Examinations for Amityville at these very front gates under the surveillance of the Bogeymen. After this time, these grounds will be ours to control, and a ridiculously outdated piece of parchment will not be enough to postpone the inevitable. Our warrants to search this place is still in effect."
Arel stiffened for a second at the last words, but said nothing, simply moving to unpack the boxes, though a few students could hear him say in a very low mutter, "Good luck with that one." PLOT SUMMARY SO FAR - The Bogeymen are threatening to close Amityville due to Halloween and the Mayor's decision that the school is no longer 'safe', the faculty harbouring potential terrorists, and the students in danger of being attacked, or worse, converted into attackers. There might be a way however, to prevent the school from closing entirely...

Mandy's head snapped up so fast at the secretaries words you could hear her vertebrae crack. "We're taking that test. Now." Before Alwine could even begin to protest Mandy grabbed her ghoulfriends hand and bodily dragged her over to the testing equipment. Here was their salvation. Thank you Arel and your odd loopholes.

Dedicated to his cause, Thackery only snapped out of attack-dog mode when he heard the thump of the boxes Arel had been carrying. He listened on, head cocked to the side (so it would sink in better); though the word "examnations" was not the most pleasant of words, it was better than "suspension". "Go get help!" He instructed Princess Cinders, giving the boafox a push to urge him along. The minipet didn't budge, opting to glare up at the Cerberus instead. Sighing, he opted for the less dramatic option. He fished in his bag for his eyephone and sent a text. unstartled witch hey ash :3 i can't find you!! need help out front bad stuff is happening they want to make us leave can you believe it? can i leave together with you if we have to sad come help save the school you're better at this than i am The text had a few more haphazard emoticons that do not properly translate into the English language.

Shehk patted Sammy on the shoulder.
"I know, hun..." she sighed, leaning her head against the other ghoul's shoulder for a moment and sighing, waiting for the mood to settle. It seemed instead, however, that Arel had returned with some..interesting things in tow with him. Fascinating. She listened to the exchange between the Ice Demon and the Boogiemen before a giant grin came over her face.
"No way...." she seemed to be in a state of awe and perhaps hope because of what Arel had just produced. Nice.
Nice.
Shehk seemed almost anxious to grab everybody in her immediate radius. "Let's do it." she beamed, off before anybody had a chance to fuss with her about it.----- Tomoko would do it. She hadn't done much but stared in horror, but.. she had skills, right?? She'd totally tackle what was about to happen, putting on her best braveface and heading off towards where things were being set up.
Like a boss.---- Sura would also try it as well, sauntering after the ground at a more leisurely pace.
----
Horsemen were students too, right?
Invi might have had an unfair advantage, but the school could use everything they could get.

So this was it. Letting out a huff, Jericho glared at the boogeyman, listening. Standardized tests? Not a problem. They could do this easy. If they all tried their hardest, they just might be able to pull this off.
"Alright."
The dragon then stormed towards one of the FEAR meters.

"I don't want to lose you, to lose Siddie or the others." She tilted her head ever so slightly, her head resting gently against Shehk's in a sad embrace. How often would they find themselves like this? Standing sad and broken again and again as the world seemed to turn against them.
How would they even manage that once split apart?
Though it seemed someone had a plan to stop that, or at least delay it. Arel arrived papers and information in tow, the Ice Demon had done something that almost no one would have expected. His job; and marvelously at that.
Even as Shehk sprinted skipped off Sammy followed suit only pausing before Arel to nod her head slightly in thanks. After that she veered off after Jericho towards a FEAR meter. The test fit, punch something as hard as she could with FEAR? Not a problem.

Junko refused to believe it. She refused to believe the school was being closed. She'd heard the rumors, she'd seen the newspapers, she'd read things. She'd seen things. So it was with great horror that she arrived to the main gate of the school to see that what Roch was saying was true.
They were closing the school.
"No..." No..no! They couldn't! She didn't want to go home! She wanted to stay here! How could they close the school it hadn't done anything wrong! Everyone around them was so angry. Where was Hellma? Why was this happening?! They couldn't just close a school! What about the students?!
But apparently it was Arel to the rescue. Junko sighed with relief as he got in the bogeyman's face...at least until he mentioned exams. Ugh. They had to take exams? Well...if it was to save the school...
"This is stupid. There's no reason to close the school." Junko grumbled, fists clenching tightly. She watched Arel begin to unpack the boxes, a feeling of dread building in her gut. Exams. Uuuuuugh.

Okay, so that following thing didn't really go as planned--in the end, both Xiu and Gene had gotten caught up in the crowd, and had eventually lost sight of the two they had been attempting to tail. The baku had sighed at this--what if something happened to Arel? That bogeyman was following him, after all!--but fortunately, the secretary returned soon after.
...With a ton of stuff?
"Exams?" Was he...was he serious? ...That was amazing! Would it be enough to actually save the school?
Well, at the very least, it would stall the closing. Xiu was never so ready to take a test than she was now.
[[ Exit~ ]]Carhop Calvalier O__O Hope it's okay I just had them get lost!

Tybalt's ears perked at the black cat's approach and immediately he took a step back. Though he quickly paused and muttered an apology. Even now he was still not comfortable with the feline standing so close, but he was beginning to make the effort, for Night at least, to become friends. It was the least he could do after all he had done for him.
Other cats on the other hand...? They were still on his 'do not like' list.
"I'm guessing you've heard about it all?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest and looking back towards the school gates that was still being guarded by the two boogeymen present; giving both of them a dirty look before he spotted Arel returning.
"What's he got there...?"
The secretary was carrying a lot of junk with him. Were they making him move out on the spot? Wow... That was a little harsh on the boogeyman's part... not that he was surprised. They were being a** holes about the whole thing.
Fortunately, that wasn't the case, and when Arel spoke up, it all became clear.
"So... We have a chance to stop this?" He blinked, surprised. But... 24 hours, that wasn't much to work with and exams... normally they'd get to study before doing them. Oh Jack! He was going to fail!
- - - - - - The grim reaper shook her head and frowned.
"No sorry... I only just found out myself. Nurse Cricket said not to worry about it though. So I guess we shouldn't?" She wasn't fond of the idea of going to another school. She was already just starting to get used to this one and not to mention, there was that whole school rivalry stuff. What if they got stuck in one of their rival schools? She couldn't bear the thought of that!
She rocked back and forth on her heels, watching as the secretary returned; carrying with him a load of boxes before dropping them at the boogeymen's feet and reading something out loud. Loud enough for them all to hear.
"Exams?" She mumbled. Unlike the rest of the students, she had barely begun her classes. She didn't know half as much as the others did, nor did she really have any experience with her Fear ability.
"Nothing like a bit of pressure..." She gave the broken doll a nervous look and a weak smile.
