LOL in my most recent post I mention the "disbanding of the Temple Guards." Once the RP started they all began suffering from IGS (Idiot Guard Syndrome). So they were useless 4laugh
Also Lorika didn't like having armed guards standing around potentially scaring off visitors and pilgrims... or shaking down regular members.

Addition: This is Gaia, a place with gods. Gaia is on the internet, where everything exists. If the sausage god is thought of even once, it springs into being somewhere on the internet. Now because websites don't like to play nice with each other, a thing mentioned on Gaia will likely spring up on Gaia because all of the other websites want that thing. Therefore, since Sausage God was mentioned on Gaia, Sausage God IS on Gaia, here to enslave all of the Gaians to assault the Baconist heathens of Amazon.ca.
Now if only they knew the site for it

When I was reading Mab's post my heart sank a little, because I really don't want to use last names for my characters anymore - I wanna wipe that away. I just thought I'd post something up here in addition to PMing Mab because everyone needs to know XD No last names for my charas, please!!

It is probably my fault. I remember that Jessie was ALWAYS Cap'n **** originally, and when you mentioned 'ditching the last names' a while ago, I thought you meant his REAL last name, which for some reason I vaguely remember....then again, seeing as how I couldn't figure out why I had that vague memory, I should have tossed up a warning flag to myself.
Might I ask why we are abandoning the last names, though?

I already explained this by now to Mab on msn, but in case anyone else is curious I guess I'll write mah explanation up here. I think that the last name is quite a strong component of an identity. It always bothered me that the elves had last names, but Lorika didn't. So I wanted to bring them all into line with the reboot. Secondly, for Jessie in particular, his last name was basically the only thing left linking him back to his original creator and original identity. For a few months I tried to play him with the slant his original creator had in mind, because I expected him to come back any time. But then I slowly stopped trying, and every piece of his original personality fell away, which led to inconsistencies which have been removed now we've rebooted. The only thing that remained was his name - TRG knows I considered changing it completely for a time. But no, Jessie will always be Jessie, he just doesn't have to be Hawk anymore =P
