A Sunkern on the ground would cross Jasmine's path as the little plant pokemon hopped from one side of the path to the other. A merry look on it's face ...as the pokemon didn't seem to have a care in the world, and the peacefulness of this place would become clearer.

A place where the pokemon didn't really feel as threaten as they should .....since humans weren't considered the main predators here.

::Jasmine looked at the Sunkern and stopped for it, smiling enough at the little creature, she'd need a place to rest herself soon, this was taking longer than thought, but she was happy to at least see a pokémon that didn't run from her as she gave a bow of the hat and began heading on once more...::

[So, what's the deal with her?]

[Hmm?] ::Lindbergh finally looked up from her distraction, herself and the Purrloin still watching from further up::

[The girl, Jasmine, named after a flower... humans are all the same... they all want something... so what does SHE want?]

::The Gligar looked down at Jasmine, then 'hmmphed', shrugging before looking at the Purrloin and continuing:: [What's wrong with wanting something?]

[I know I want a cushy, warm little life... all this scrappling out on the edge of nothing?] ::The Gligar spat:: [Not for me...]

[Pfeh, said like a true pet...]

[Heh...] ::Lindbergh curved a smirk:: [Watch and wait... and someday soon... you'll say the same...]

::But Claudandas was silent as he padded on... that day, was the thing he truly feared most...::

Jasmine and her group would finally arrived at an area that seemed to be different from the rest. A clearing so to say as the trees here grew a bit further apart and one of the largest and oldest trees in the forest tree branches hung out in a huge arc over the area ....in this place, they would be able to find shelter amongst the large roots if they choose. Or they could simply rest out in the open since most of the pokemon this far in had long since learned to use the tree branches ..criss crossing like a highway ...as their mode of travel.

There was little or no pokemon to be found on the ground in such an area ...as it would seem that this was the last bit before one would push their way through to a new area of this forest.

The pokemon's answer was a step forward with her teeth bared. She was waiting to see her pull out another pokeball or another pokemon. If she had neither, she would attack again ...as she took another step towards her. The human's babble didn't matter to her, she didn't care if there was good humans or bad.

She plan to kill them all, and she was going to start with Riku. She couldn't be reason with.

That was a mistake as the Growlithe lunged for her unprotected back. She knew the moment that she did that ...that the girl didn't have anything else to throw at her nor any pokemon to battle. That meant she was meat for the feast, and she wasn't about to let her just walk out of it ....as she went for a bite to her shoulders to try and drag her down ...quite literally.

The pop to the maw flatten the Growlithe again as she went down onto her belly in pain. This was the second time she had been hit as she glared daggers at the girl ...her hatred bubbling up from within her like a well. As she struggled back to her feet.

...Everyone, let's hold out here just now.

::The announcement came just as Claudandas and Lindbergh had began crossing over into the large tree, both passing an irritated look down at the girl before begrudgingly they'd make their way down::

We just need a little room to rest just now... I'm sorry to say, I don't think I'm doing so well just now.

::Neither pokémon commented as she lead them into the roots, for now, they wouldn't do anything but find their rest, Lindbergh had curled into a ball before the Purrloin or Jasmine could say anything else, the girl sighed thankfully, as the cat watched her, eyes glowing almost in the darkness::

[You still haven't told me.]

[Hmmph?] ::The Gligar didn't even look up::

[Jasmine. What is she like?]

::Lindbergh peered under her own tail to look at the cat, sat upright and fixed upon the girl:: [What's to say?]

[She's a human. A human's a human, right?]

[Why do you even care?!] ::The Gligar snorted angrily:: [She's some goody two shoes who can barely stand on her own feet, just nod, grin and bear her until she shuts up, that's it!]

::Claudandas sat there, eyes still fixed upon Jasmine, but slowly, his look slid to the Gligar:: [Is it not a pokémon's job to obey their trainer? To hold them sacred above all else?]

[Pffft... not in my lifetime.] ::And with that, Lindbergh lay to rest::

::Meanwhile, Jasmine took her time, she watched the two and ensured they looked at least comfortable, but as Jasmine looked at them, Claudandas would never look away from her... those eyes accused, burnt into her... but her own placid pink eyes wouldn't waver::

...You can't sleep too either, huh?

::She sighed as she worked... pulling out a set of rags, her old clothes, it seemed ironic it still served her as she slowly and meticulously went about cleaning her cuts, bandaging her arm with them, grimacing as she tightened it, but nothing more::

...I took a few too many hits out there while protecting Lindbergh's egg, I think... ::She tried to laugh it off, but she couldn't hide the pained look there, before she looked to her legs::

::He had seen the metal before, but he hadn't asked Lindbergh, he doubted the Gligar would give him an explanation, but he watched as Jasmine moved her hands down the limb with an almost expertise examination::

...Good. ::The girl caused him to look up at her:: Not broken, just dislocated.

This might hurt however... ::She took a deep breath and looked around, snapping off an errant twig, placing it between her teeth, he watched in silence as she undid the braces, the expression on her face spoke volumes even just removing the metal attachments to her limbs::

::Then she took the leg, then pulled it, with a popping and snapping noise of it returning to place that his ears picked up instantly, the girl biting deep into her improvised gag, before stopping, her hands shaking, her whole body moving as she began heavily breathing, eyes tight shut...::

::Then, slowly, she'd recover, replacing the holds of the braces, before binding her rags down the leg, effectively making it a full on splint just now, making sure she'd be fine... before falling back, then letting go of the branch, fell back gasping::

...Just need... some time... heal up...

::Claudandas watcher her, he knew Lindbergh would have heard... but the Gligar did nothing, she gave no expression to it, whatever he may have thought of the girl... she had lost her only defense in this forest and carried on despite herself, done what was necessary to survive...::

::He moved forward slowly, settling himself in her lap, nuzzling into her chest, it was small comfort to the girl, but at least something::

::He may have been undecided still, but he would not make her continue on her own...::

::A hand fell down on his purple fur, he was quick to bite down the urge to claw at her, but she smiled at him and rested there:: Thank you, Claudandas...

::And so the three would wait for sunlight... for better or worse now...::
