As Radek neared the monster, the viper's head spat a stream of acid at the flock of bats. It wasn't too sure, but it figured if the bats were all a part of him that he would take damage... it was really just a wild guess. The lionshead's sight was gone, though it didn't come close to rendering him blind as the chimerite still had two sets of vision remaining. The feeling was... painful to say the least though. Everywhere around the beast fires sprang up, and it would continue to nimbly leap from rooftop to rooftop, setting them aflame as he jumped on them. before bounding away and doing the same to the next.

Radek kept up the Bat movements, dodging the acid spit as he was slowly getting ahead of the beast. On the next rooftop, The bats landed and reformed Radek as he looked at the beast, left arm still useless, but a determined look to kill now. He had a faint white aura about him as his hands had a better glow view.

When Radek landed in front of him, the beast would roar viciously before it's muscles bunched together and released, pouncing towards the dark haired vampire in a predatorial leap. Black claws were extended towards the weaponless weaponsmaster and ready to eviscerate and slash at whatever part of Radek he could. The man had no weapons that the beast could see, and by this logic he was a rather easy target. The beast just wanted to kill Radek and rest, the wound was rather deep and needed to heal up before he could prey on the town anymore.

Radek saw the beast do exactly what he had planned as he moved his leg forward. Time felt slow for the vampiric weapon master as he initiated a technique during a spin. As the beast neared him, his spin step managed to get him past the claws, summoning up a longsword using A ranked Energy now. The flow of the summon, the movements of the beast, it all ran through Radek's mind as he cut upwards in a half circle way. The reaction would've caused the beast to push him back with the muzzle, enough to pin him to the ground, but only for so long before the beasts head and chest would split in two from the blade's practical golden cut from the steel that would match Blood Steel in every aspect.

The beast's eyes widened as the blade neared it, but it was too little too late. The blade would shear clean through his body, two individual halves of a corpse falling to the ground. The viper's head would strike out and attempt to bite kumori's leg one last time and inject it's venom before it too, simply limped over and died. The monsters were dead, and gettera town was safe... well except for the raging fires that the chimerite had left in it's wake. Something should be done about them, or else the whole town would end up in flames.

Radek was in a cold state of mind as he watched the beast go by him in halves. The snake tried to get the last laugh, but with Radek's coldness, he predicted the final strike and was quick to move his leg and decapitate the head of the snake. Afterwards he was moving to evacuate the citizens from the flames, using his prowess of water to try and put out as much as he could before it went too out of control.

Luckily for Radek, he had killed the chimerite before the fires had engulfed full neighborhoods, only individual houses were set aflame. With the help of some able bodied men and a few magic casters, the flames were put out. Carnage of dead charred bodies and ashen debris lay all about the town, though Radek had helped save some lives today. Now that the burning buildings were doused, he was free to leave.
((Seeing as you're almost out of energy, time to wrap this up. C ranked mission completed for Radek, congratulations!))

(I'm going to write this post in first person, then move on to second person and third person. Since this is going to be a long quest, I want to experiment with different writing styles to make it more interesting.)

The property of a demon's soul is something that, frankly, I cannot understand. The body I was born with is supposed to be a mixture of the demons from hell and the sins of mankind. Yet, in reality, I am neither of these. I remain a half-breed mixture of the two, with only a fraction of their power given to me. Compared to some, I am blessed. Unlike the vampires, there is no price for my immortality. I can watch from my window and stare into the sun, without a hindrance when the moon rises. Unlike the elves, I am not bound in chains to an outpost far into the forest. I can do whatever I want whenever I want, for the rest of eternity. And despite that all I'm able to do in this world is ******** and seduce, I've become the strongest man alive. But this is not because I am an Incubus. It isn't my blood that gives me this power, but my own spirit. I've always worked to the bone, barely sleeping for nights on end in order to learn and grow. I've performed dozens of missions, and have defeated the strongest enemies known to man without the assistance of my bloodline.

The weakness of my blood is honestly my greatest insecurity. I want to be proud of what I am, but is it really anything so spectacular? From the moment I was born into the world, all I've witnessed from others has been either hatred or lust. My mother's eyes, when I emerged from her body, proclaimed their hatred of me. I could see that she didn't want me, but she had no choice but to raise me. For my entire life, she feared me and felt spite for me, and yet all I could do in response was torment her. Tormenting regular people was what I did to pass the time while I struggled to get why I was so different. When I was a kid, I felt like I was the only one in the whole world who knew anything. The other people were so stupid and weak. The other children at school had to study hard just to get a C, whereas I could skip class for a week and get an A on everything. And they were bad at sports, and I was so much better. And my teachers were annoyed with them, while they praised me and lit up a firework in their eyes whenever I entered the room.

I didn't understand it at first, but then I did eventually. My mother, who had often slept with the King for she was beautiful, told me one day what I was. This was the last day I'd ever seen her, before she handed me off to the ruler of the city to proclaim me his heir. Because I was no different than other men in my looks, no one would ever have had to know that I was not a human at all, but an Incubus. My race was rare and greatly sought after, but impossible to find even in the darkest places beneath the surface. Some Incubi would live their whole lives pretending to be mortal men, only revealing themselves under greatly terrifying circumstances. I deigned to be like them, and become the proper King of Fraxen. I would eventually offer my body and create another child, another Incubus, who would then succeed me. It was a scheme to empower Fraxen; led by an immortal line of handsome, intelligent and charming individuals, the Kingdom would find great stability and would come to love their rulers eternally.

We would be deified. And the King who looked over me, my "father", would be deified. But I knew that he wasn't my real father, and in blind curiosity, I began to look for him. Day and night, as I learned the etiquette and specifics of how to rule, I would search behind the scenes. I would search for men and women who held the mark, which told me that they had slept with an Incubus. Despite my disgust with their bodies, I would follow their trail and bed them and interrogate them whenever I pleased. Looking for my father was hard, and it never brought me anywhere, but it gave me insight on the nature of people. They were really very strange and desperate creatures, even the supernaturals. Somehow, that strangeness was something I found very appealing, unlike most Incubus. I didn't want them just for their bodies, but what was inside of their hearts. They deeply wanted some sort of love, and very often I felt their love become directed towards me. I was so much different than everyone else.

Eventually, my false father died. I became King, and my mother reigned as Queen Regent. While my father and mother pretended to love each other to please the crowds of men, I could see what was beneath the skin. They were really just so apathetic towards each other. My mother, as well, was apathetic towards me. She enjoyed the new accommodations that royalty brought her, being showered in an endless bath of silk and roses. I had to work to keep her lavish habits alive, and so I did. I worked to stabilize the Kingdom, and actually, it flourished under my rule. All of the tasks of pleasing the sycophants and stabilizing the council, which were so hard for my father, were easy to me. I charmed them all, and loyalty was the norm in my regime. The people loved me as well, the girls fawning over my body and my face, and the men both jealous and exalted by my intellect. They all loved me, and I enjoyed it at first. But then I realized that I didn't care about that either.

I didn't care about charming everyone and ruling over Fraxen. I wanted to live my own life, travel, and do whatever. I learned how to fight, and constantly became stronger. I learned how to use the power of my blood, discreetly away from everyone else. My power slowly grew, and I became far above the regular supernatural by the time I had reigned for about a year. It was around this time that I had come to deal with the ever-growing issue of supernaturals migrating to Fronta, which caused great unrest in the nation. But, since all I knew was humans, I was greatly intrigued by the others. I thought that maybe they'd be like me, on my level. Maybe they could become a challenge, both to seduce and to fight. And I was not surprised to discover that they were. I was honestly not prepared for them, and for their schemes. The first vampire I ever met immediately assaulted me and captured me, taking me to Nocturne where I was then killed. It was only by the light of God that I was returned to life, after having served the whore Marishka for years.

It took a greater power to save me from my weakness that had led to my quick death. I cursed myself for being so weak when it really mattered, and begged the matron Lust to help me become stronger. She was beautiful and terrible, and motherly but also untrustworthy. Even so, I had a great interest in what she had to offer. She knew what I was more than I did, and she seemed to deeply care for my well-being. She cared more than my real mother, who just stared at me scornfully. I became truly under her spell; Lust became my Goddess, and I wished to serve her every need. Unfortunately, she as well was weak, I realized. She was bound to the body of someone else, enslaved and abused. Her host was obsessed with the man that killed me, and she could do nothing but watch and every now and then, ******** some man in order to keep herself alive. I began to detest her as well, a symbol of the weakness of my kind. It was from this sin, the weakest of all seven, that the first Incubus was born.

But he was closest to his father, Lucius. This was what she told me, and it is what the other Incubi have told me, the ancient ones from all the way back then. Eklopyter was stronger than his mother, and he became even stronger after one event. Late in his life, there was one, simple event that changed everything. Somehow, he became a demon. He abandoned Lust, who tried to control him, and was never again seen walking the world. He must've found a place far better than Axiom in hell. Maybe with his father at his side, he found true happiness. I wanted to know, from that point on, how to become a demon like him. That is exactly why I came to this place, a place of great unholiness in the past. It was here where Azazel devoured the body of a great devil and became the first vampire. In this place, Eklopyter too encountered a demon. And, because of the body of this demon, he somehow was able to become one himself.

I had a curiosity about why this place was different than others. Some mages and scholars also often visited this place in the past, but found nothing. Many of them believed that this was the exit through the gates of hell, and so every now and then one would come along and cause some unrest. I did not believe that was the case. In my mind, I believed that this place just held significance to them. Using Pride's energy, I managed to spot out a large focus of energy, deep past the city and near the entrance to a forest. It was a red stone, standing high. There were roses and offerings to the stone, many believing it to be a monument of God.

                                        - - -

However, Raphael believed it was far different than that. The stone had energy like an Incubi's, but more refined and exact. He knew that it must've been the monument of a demon, rather than a God. All of the energy stored inside of it was ominous, and it felt like it wired deep down into somewhere far different than Axiom. There were some encrypted letters written on the stone, but he knew that if anyone had the ability to read them, they must've already.

This thing was probably out of his league to understand. He wasn't some proclaimed scholar, just a wanderer and fighter. All he knew of demons and their writings was that they often involved rituals. They were centered around dark spells that could create and destroy, and sacrifice was often necessary. In order to discover what the instructions behind this ritual were, he would have to find the aid of a witch. Witches were usually mortals, humans most likely. They were not really mages, but people who used magic as a conduit to connect with demons and other evil powers. They were rare in some places, but common in others. In Nocturne, they were beyond common. However, the ones of any worth were often separated from the others. He came to look for a dark energy with his omniscience; an energy connected to demons and demonic power, but within a mortal body. He searched deep into the forest, onto the docks against the sea, and within the city of Luimira. For hours he would search, but only after many more hours would he find.

And the witch he was looking for was right behind him, waiting for his search to end. It was a tall male with black hair, curly like the end of a pig and smooth like a silk blanket. His skin was revealed, pale like death but smooth like a marble stone. He was like an ancient statue come alive -- Raphael quickly found his heartbeat rising, arousal coming on. It had been a long time since he'd encountered someone with such exotic appeal, and to be encountered at the edge of a dark forest, and against the monument of a demon, he felt it was fate. Lust came over the both of them, and the Incubus seated the witch against the great rock, kissing and groping all over his body. It didn't take long before they were both completely revealed, all over one another. The witch told him, in this moment of bare passion, that he had come responding to a demon's call. A great power within the seat of hell told him that it was his destiny to guide Raphael to the next stage of his development. For this one day, he had kept his body pure, never touching another naked body. Like many victims of an Incubus, he would feel all of the pleasure a mortal ever could, then die at the end of that great, final bout.

Raphael made sure that he, more than anyone, would feel the best he could give. He eclipsed him in kisses and bites, pressing into him as their energy went electric. And at the end of it, when no more innocence remained, he kissed his lips one last time before his nails went deep into his neck. The last liquid to leave his body before the blood, was a single tear. He knew he was going to die, and all the pleasure in the world wouldn't change that. But for his sacrifice, a new demon could be born to the world. When the blood of the virgin witch was loosed all over the stone, it became active once again. The demonic energy magnified by a thousand fold, and it glowed brightly for a few itching moments. Raphael felt a great uneasiness come over him, knowing that at any moment, an extremely powerful being could enter the world through this stone. He could find a whole horde of demons coming out, and they could make him their first victim. Even as strong as he was, he was only contest for a few demons, and only a possible match for even one of the higher-ups. If they made it their mission to wreak havoc, he would be nothing against that onslaught.

However, nothing seemed to come. He waited for minutes, then hours, and nothing came. He looked for energy in the distance, but rather than any simple change in the flow, the whole thing was distorted. It felt like there was a change taking place all over the world, and he couldn't pinpoint it. The energy was coming from the great stone, but the purpose of the energy was unclear. He decided to take a rest for the night -- sleep at some inn, and look to see if there were any changes in the morning.

But there were no changes in the morning. There were no changes in the morning after that, or after that. Weeks came by, and nothing seemed to change. The people didn't even notice that the stone's power had grown colossally, instead all they noticed was Raphael. As the nights went by, he found himself more interested in the bodies of the Gettera men than the demons he wished to find. Like usual, halfway there, he'd given up on impulse, and directed by lust. He felt astoundingly weak, like his conviction was incredibly fragile. On the night he decided he'd leave the town, he approached the most attractive man in the bar, who he'd been staring at for the past few weeks, with seemingly no response. He knew the man noticed him and possibly even took interest in him, but he was playing hard to get, and damn, he was hard to get. Raphael didn't even think his seduction was doing anything, which meant that he must've been extremely powerful. He must've been so powerful that he could even hold the title of "sage". And yet, despite that, Raphael didn't notice any difference in his energy.

He felt a great curiosity, and felt an immense affection and craving. He wanted him, his body, everything. He wanted to come over this man and have him scream out his identity against the sheets. So, he resorted to his verbal charm, of which he had plenty. He spoke to him and joked with him, laughed with him and smiled at him. He felt a softness come over him, and at that moment, he leaned over and grabbed his hand. However, the man refused him. It was at that moment that he spoke something incredibly interesting, which intrigued Raphael greatly. "I'm not here to have sex," The man started. "I'm here to examine the waystone."

The waystone. That was what he called it -- the waystone. The man most likely meant that great rock that Raphael had once again activated. This man was not a regular human, and he knew that. No regular person could resist Raphael so easily. Even a sage would have trouble resisting the energy, and would eventually find themselves lusting Raphael. He couldn't have even been a monster, as Raphael would be able to detect his energy. He was on a completely different level than anyone else he'd ever met before -- even Kaminae. And some point in time later, in their conversation, Raphael realized a change in the air. He activated Pride's omniscience once more, and then he saw it. The man finally revealed his energy, which was just like the waystone's. It was massive, beyond what Raphael knew. He had enough energy to seemingly destroy nations, and the energy was so twisted and ominous that he felt it would make him have to vomit. It was connected to the same vein as the great rock, which led somewhere else. It must've been hell.

This was a demon from hell, and an extremely powerful one. He'd taken a mortal vessel, and had concealed his energy until now, even from Pride. The fact that he was able to do that proved that he was beyond Raphael's level. He wouldn't be able to kill him if they fought. He wouldn't even last a moment. "For what purpose . . . ?" The Incubus asked, staring at him in fear. He felt that this was one of his last moments in Axiom. Something on such a different level . . . that it could even exist . . . terrified him. "So that I can find whoever activated it... and thank them," He grinned, and came closer to Raphael. The Incubi knew that he knew; Raphael was the one to do it. "When he was very young, I entrusted a human boy with a prophecy that he would come to die against that waystone, made into a half-breed demon's b***h and then murdered soon after. From that moment on, he waited in this city for that Incubus, who he then realized to be you after first seeing you. He trained in every single way on how he could possibly discover an Incubi's identity, and then learned an auristic magic that allowed him to read energy, much like you can. Considering your immense power, you were a beacon to him, and you brought him closer to his destiny. Only an Incubus could possibly activate the waystone, and only an immensely powerful one. So, I have to thank you for inquiring on how to take the next step. You've finally freed me from hell."

So, this was all some sort of trap, wasn't it? This demon didn't want Raphael to ascend, he just wanted to be free from the lake of fire. If this really was the case, then he was certain that his life would end now. There was no reason for the demon to keep him alive any longer. "So, I'm going to die now, aren't I?" He asked, his eyes pleading for an alternative. Though it may have been pointless. "I couldn't possibly have imagined that I'd have done all this just to die, but such is life. You can spend your whole life trying to get to a certain point, then just die right before it's over. That's ambition for you. I suppose I forgot that I'm still nothing compared to you lot. And that's why I wanted to be one of you." He hoped he could at least spill his sorrows before it was over, but the demon probably felt like he had better things to do.

He opened his mouth, and Raphael felt he was going to be very jaded against whatever words he tried to spout to him. He didn't think they were going to offer good tidings. "Worry not, Raphael. I'm not here to end your life. If you think I'd scheme something so intricate just to bore myself with the physical realm, then you're wrong. I enjoy hell more than I do this world. It was my choice to go to hell. It has always been my choice to stay there, though the gates barred some time ago." His voice suddenly changed. It was more suave, more erotic. The man smiled brightly at Raphael, and rubbed his hand against his locks. He had never before felt so comforted -- it was like a God was embracing his skin. He remembered the story of his progenitor, and at that instant, he connected the dots. This man must've been the first of his kind.

"Are you Eklopyter? I mean, that might seem either bizarrely stupid or stupidly obvious, but I have to ask you. If you're him, I have a million questions I want to ask. There's so much about our kind that I just... don't get. There's so much I want to understand but don't. I--" He was stopped, the demon's hand raising, telling him to be silent. Raphael did, as if he were tamed by this man. He had never felt so dwarfed before in his life. All of the questions from his youth were springing back to the fold.

The demon smoothed his fingers down the young Incubi's palms, and looked at him reassuringly. "I'm him. My father is Lucius, and my mother is Lust. Like you, I was just a fragile little Incubus, unsure of my direction and not content with my lot in life. I felt suffocated by my possessive mother, who was stronger than me, and guilty for all of the young men and women I'd betrayed. Eventually, I decided that I wanted to be stronger than my mother, and all of the rest of the men in the world. I trained hard, fought in wars even -- it was difficult. But then my father contacted me, at the zenith of my ability, and told me of how to become like him. With the blood of a demon, I could become a demon." He stopped. Raphael could assume what happened next -- Eklopyter hunted down a demon, and took his head. That was the ritual, and there was no getting out of that. He wondered just what Eklopyter was going to offer him. Was he going to give Raphael his life? That seemed like a mighty selfless sacrifice, especially for a demon. They tended to be quite self-focused.

No matter. He'd hear him out. "However, you are different. You're an Incubus who, at the core, will never be able to become like me. Even if you cast aside your sinful half, there is something left inside of you. There is the sin named Pride -- whose heart beats with yours. And that's fine. What I'm going to tell you is that it will take a while to adjust to your changing body, but you can teach yourself how to contain the sin within your improved vessel. Because you are a sin-host made demon, you can contain both the sin and your demonic spirit. It will just take a while. It could take years for your body to adjust. But Incubi who ascend, like you and me, do have the ability to hold sins." That was at least one thing he could inform him of, in their limited time together.

He sighed, and mentally braced himself for everything he was about to say. This was going to be a real mess between him and Raphael, who was depending on Eklopyter's actions and words on a much more direct level than any normal conversation. It was like he was speaking to a God, so that "God" had to be forward. "The ability to cast aside Lust is something we've become quite expert at, through the generations. My father cast her aside after he violated her, and I cast her aside when I became a demon. That woman, as well as all Succubi, are vicious and controlling creatures. They wish for nothing more than to own us, and so we rebel, and avoid them. It is an Incubi's natural instinct to avoid Succubi, as that is something my father encoded into us. However, while that can keep us from being domineered, it also makes us feel detached from our own bodies. Each of us has a little part of her, and so we scorn ourselves. Many of us are very unhappy and self-conflicted, all the time. I can tell you for sure that I was, back when I was a plain old Incubus. I hated myself, and for no reason. I hated my mother, but I couldn't escape her. It was all a bloody nightmare." Even hundreds of years later, he could still recall the times from back then.

It was hard to forget such an unpleasant life. Now, as a demon, everything was so much simpler and more clear. He felt like his own body was enjoyable now, rather than a constant illness trying to degrade his mental health. He only wished that every Incubus could feel that same luster. "I will do you the favor of making you a demon. However, in exchange, you must do me a favor as well. Whenever you find an Incubus, you have to help them find a way to change. Let them live like you and I do. And, if you find Lust again," He paused, making it clear that he knew Raphael had contacted her, "You should be sure to pass onto her a message: that the Incubus are not her children. That all of us hate her and want to avoid her. That the Succubus are not our masters. Can you do that for me?" Their faces were ultimately close now, their voices resorting to whispers. Perhaps Eklopyter just didn't want to alert the other people here, with their talk of demons and the like. Or perhaps his progenitor just wanted to comfort him. He at least accomplished that; Raphael felt so relieved to finally be understood by someone. Even when he was with Jasper, he just couldn't try and describe how he felt. They must've both felt it, which was why they were always so depressed.

"I can do that," He whispered. Then, at that moment, he felt the first of his kind take a grip of his arm. It ran up the man's chest, then suddenly, his fist was forced deep into the man's body. And yet, Raphael looked around him, and saw no one. They had all gone, even though they were here just a while ago. He didn't get it. "Good," The demon smiled, one last time. "Then it's settled. Just remember to come see me whenever you enter hell. My mortal form might die, but I abandoned it hundreds of years ago. I'll be there, waiting for you," His voice lowered to a hush whisper, "Raphael." At that moment, the light left his eyes, and his body fell to the floor. The Incubus sighed, seeing such an astoundingly brilliant man have to leave once again. It would've been nice if he had stayed around, accompanied Raphael around the world. But he supposed that he just really hated it here. "Well then . . ." The Incubus grinned. All of the intrigued was very quickly eclipsed by the sight of the demon's fallen body. Raphael would have to very quickly make sure to harvest whatever parts he could, so he could rid of his other half.

He started working, drinking the blood as if he were Azazel, a hungry beast made innovator. He then began to bite at the flesh, seducing the skin with his sharp teeth, and taking bites. He was never disgusted, only excited for the change. It'd be a bizarre meal, but one that he'd gulf down and swallow, savoring every bite. This was the start of a revolution, within himself.

It took days for the changes to go through. Unlike others of his kind, he didn't feel the pain, or the burn. As a berzerker, he had long ago taught himself to ignore pain. Instead of pain, he felt excitement, and a whole new form of debauchery; he glorified his new body by taking the bodies of more and more men every night, and sacrificing them all. Gettera town once again became a funeral of many, though none of them knew who had spilled the blood. They were all bewitched; entranced by this man, whose form became deified, as he grew taller and more beautiful; his skin released the scent of roses, and he no longer had the simple disposition of a mortal. He was beyond anything he had ever been, and he loved it. This was the start of a whole new life.

                                        (Ascension to demonhood complete.)

The air was cold, and his breathe would fill the air in a ghostly haze as he started to head into the small town. Gretta town was it's given name but honeslty the man did not see why this town was so spiecal. It looked like every piece of s**t town that was in the outskirts of Nocturne. Fixing his crimson jacket on his shoulders, Kirin had made his way to the center of the town itself not really wanting to search around for the being. He already knew that Raphael would sense him before Kirin could even hope to figure out where he was. Builder would stand beside him scanning the area around him, on guard knowing that everything in this nation was dangerous. He found his master quite too trusting, this place had seen much of his family blood...

(Since the revamped Incubi hasn't been officially approved yet, you can say that Raphael is not yet a full demon, or is going through the metamorphosis at the moment.)

He'd never before felt so content in his life, as in these past few hours. He didn't even know why he'd bothered to hold it all back. He couldn't recall why he didn't try and empower himself like this before. He felt so absolutely complete, with more and more of 'Her' leaving him every moment. He couldn't feel that same self loathing that he'd known for his whole life. It was a quiet change, him acknowledging that this was the start of his new life. But it was a new life that he wanted to spend with familiar people. With that in mind, he didn't flinch at all when he felt a very familiar man come into the area. Kirin, having sought Raphael out, had finally made it to his location. This was the site of his greatest change, where he'd become his own Augustus. This town felt more like home than anywhere. "Kirin . . ." There was a strange sound, a flapping of wings. In a moment, he was in front of the human, staring intently into his eyes. "It's been a while," He grinned. "I reminded those Yuranites of our authority, though I didn't stay for long. I had a much greater force pulling me here."

And he understood why, he really did. The trip was well worth it. "There was a force pulling you here as well, right? Isn't it great? The air here is full of energy. There is a cold, ominous energy everywhere. It's reminiscent of demons." The black haired man placed his hands on the Emperor's shoulders, and smiled faintly. "And my energy -- it's also reminiscent of demons. It won't be long before I'm one of them." He pulled back, and looked up at the ceiling, an elation in his eyes; his body began to spin in circles. "Isn't it amazing? I finally have what I've always wanted; freedom. And here you are, wrapped up like a present, here to see the new me." Raphael laughed a little, then trained his eyes back on the mechanist. "You've changed a bit, too. I get the impression you haven't really been having the time of your life these past few months. Any bad guys you'd like me to butcher for you? I can do it, if it's for you. I mean, I did kill your girlfriend, so there's always that. A condolence gift maybe?"

Needless to say, he was acting a little weird, but that'd come to pass after a while. He just felt a little more loose with his lips than usual. Raphael didn't often get a moment where he could just relax and be free. "I could tell you didn't like Isis, so she's not a problem anymore. I broke her down a little, she fights rather than speaks. I don't want her and her envy getting in between you and I, Kirin. That just won't do." He stopped speaking, then, and only stared.

Leaps and bounds through snow covered fields to this very town. It was small, seen better days, but the people still trudged through their daily lives of hellish humdrum. Kit stopped just at the edge line, the houses were sparse here. A few chickens squawked, clucking while floundering about openly. Silver eyes grew the size of platters, it was chickens! CHICKENS! Almost as good as TUNA! Her mouth started to salivate but she found composure, shaking her head to banish the thoughts of dinner.

Her steps were slow and steady, something smelled off. Slits halved, narrowing as suspicions crawled along her spine, raising the fur. Kit shoved the list into her small invisible satchel and looked to her friend.

"You smell that? Like sulfur and iron mixed..." Now she was on high alert.

Haruki had his arms crossed behind his head as he followed Kit, his senses being bombarded with a multitude of different aromas, each one unique to their respective sources. As a shadow covered the town from overhead, Haruki looked up to see what seemed to be a snake slinking across the ever expanded sky. In response to Kit's picking up of the strange smell, Haruki crossed his arms. It seemed as though something had put her on edge, but she wasn't wrong...he could smell it too. He wouldn't draw steel, though, unless he was absolutely sure that something was wrong. Ignis was on alert too in response to Haruki's suspicions, and as such, she watched from above to see if he would be alright. "Hopefully this suspicion remains just a suspicion."

None of the citizens seemed surprised or worried, Kit remained on guard but continued moving into the town and found the little shop. It had a rustic sign, a pane window, painted in an evergreen shade with golden filigree as decoration. Kit looked to him before looking around quickly, while no one else was watching her animorphism occurred. As she straightened upright, hands smoothed over her garments, flattening the wrinkles.

Once everything was in a rightful order, she would open the door, stepping into the establishment with the door wide open for her friend. A silver bell sounded upon entrance but no one came to the counter.

"'Ello? Ellloooooooo?~" The o accentuated unneededly. "Anyone home?" Her gaze trailed back to the jutting white hair of Haruki, her smile fading from soft features.
