"Well he is a wolf, so I suppose his stomach can handle it better than either of us could. But I've seen other people, normal people eating raw stuff too. Although in restaurants apparently it's called 'blue flaming'. They take a torch to it for a few seconds and it kills off the bacteria but leaves the meat as bloody as it normally would. Fascinating but gross." Xander popped more of his chow mein into his mouth and blushed as he had to slurp up a bit of the greens.

"Fascinating as it may be, I don't think I'll ever try it...." Chris shook his head. He smiled slightly as he noticed Xander blushing, he found it rather cute.

"Me either." Xander replied, reaching for a napkin. "Do... do I have something on my face?"
His blush increased twice fold and he brought the napkin to his face, wanting to get off any bits of food that might have landed there in his haste to get the chow mein.

Xander lowered his head, trying to focus on his plate. "You said that before... thank you." He rubbed the back of his neck and casually scooted his chair closer to Chris. "So... do you say that kind of stuff to everyone?"

"Oh." The silver haired boy spoke softly, his eyes wide as he stared at his plate, just a bit too focused on the rice to be normal. His blush darkened and he spared a glance at Chris.
I'm special! his mind squealed.

Xander brought a hand up to his cheek, wondering if he could stop it just by sheer will. It didn't seem to be working but he could at least hope right?

"I don't think it's because you're pale, dear...." Chris said, taking hold of Xander's hand, to move it back down from his face "I think it's because you're not used to compliments.... you ought to get used to it though, because I'm only telling the truth..." he smiled.

Xander smiled, trying to distract himself with the food once again. "I don't know what to say when you say those kind of things, you're so sweet."
Hesitantly he reached out and brushed a bit of Chris's hair back from his forehead. "You're cute too you know.."
