Haunted?... She shook her head to suggest a no back to the Baku. Nope, haven't been 'round too many booths yet, actually. Any good this Haunted House? If Xiu said there were horribly large beasts in that house there threatening to take down students, Levi would consider it her next spot to visit. That would sure make this festival a winning event over prom. Yes, she got to dance there, but she frowned at the fact that she couldn't kick around the smart-mouthed boils at the formal occasion.
Returning to her interest about the booth, Levi answered Xiu's question in more or less of a detailed explanation. Folks comin' out look ta be scared 'er worried 'bout somethin'. If there's a critter in thar causin' all this trouble, ... I'll give 'em such a whoppin'-! The tatzel suggestively pounded a balled fist against an open palm. Ain't right playin' with folk that can't defend themselves none. Desu-chan didn't look like she was capable of taking down an opponent physically, anyways.

The ringing was audible, or so it seemed, all the way across the Floresctival, in defiance of all the laws of physics. The plague doctor, eyes narrowed behind its lenses, stalked across half of the festival grounds, hands clenched into fists at its sides.
It was going to shut the box the jack up or it was going to d- well, it was going to suffer some form of consequences. Yes.
The box seemed almost defiant as the ringing continued, mocking Malodore's irritated approach. The plague doctor wrapped its claws around the dial and spun said dial angrily, with the sort of narrow-minded focus that only proper fury can bring.
West would be so proud.

Sadly, Malodore itself was not proud. The only thing saving it from seriously high blood pressure was the fact that it didn't have blood pressure to begin with.
Tail twitching back and forth, it forced itself to just walk away. Just ignore it and walk away... nnnngh....

Maritess hadn't wanted to leave her dorm room since Prom. Aside from what tasks and classes she was required to attend, she was as reclusive as she'd been since the trip. Perhaps even more. If it weren't for the insistence of her "nanny," she would have stayed in her room for the remainder of the school year. Begrudgingly, she was at the festival, feeling miserable and irritable and her mood wasn't being helped when the insistent ringing caught her ear. Crimson eyes narrowed at the blue box with the upside down sign, and her leather wings brought to towards the source of the siren call.

The winged ghoul stared steely-eyed at the door, the faint but constant ringing grating on her nerves. She needed to answer it. Not to chat. Not to cordially ask who was calling. No, she wanted to pick the phone and roughly slam it back onto its cradle. Or push the off button really hard. Whichever was applicable. A pale hand reached out and attempted to pry the door open.

The Box is Broken - randonimity
Tess hadn't seen the others attempt to enter, hadn't known that the box didn't grant entry to everyone. All she knew was that she could pick up the phone and bring it to her ear. There was no hello, no voice, no breathing on the other end. Huh. Maybe it was another undead?
A soft clink had Tess' eyes darting down to the coin slot, her head tilting at the sight of the seed. She scoffed but took the seed as she slammed the phone down. Hard. And quickly exited.

Any good? Xiu wrinkled her nose at the question, uncertain how she should answer. "Well, it's...it's very pink." That was a good place to start. "It's also sparkly, and there are tiny furry creatures running around everywhere trying to lick and cuddle you." If not terrifying, the haunted house at least pretty disturbing.
Smiling a little nervously at Levi's description, the Baku took another step away from the box, her gaze flickering towards it warily. "I...I guess I should stay away then," She murmured, unconsciously reaching up to grasp at Levi's sleeve, "I'm one of those types of people that can't defend themselves." It wasn't even so much that she didn't want to learn, rather than the fact she didn't have anyone to teach her. Perhaps she wouldn't be so scared of everything if she was a little more capable of taking care of herself.
"...L-levi? Where did you learn how to fight?"

Something was ringing. For a moment, Hasuko thought it might be her eyePhone and she even started to reach for her turtleshell backpack to answer it before she realized it wasn't her.
So what was ringing? Looking around she noticed she was standing in front of a small clearing with a single blue booth. Was it coming from there? Hasuko walked up to the blue box and pressed her ear to the side. Yes, the ringing was definitely coming from there.
She took a step away and looked around to see if anyone was going to answer it. No one else was nearby though and Hasuko remembered she had seen a couple students walking very rapidly away from the clearing earlier, before she heard the ringing. One of the the students even looked like it might have been her friend Malodore but it had stalked off before she could get closer to be sure.
So that just left her for right now. Hasuko supposed she should try and answer the phone. It might be important.

Hasuko reached out to pull the handle and paused in surprise when it didn't budge. Looking closer, she noticed it had some sort of dial or something on it with numbers.
She experimentally twisted the dial to a random number and pulled on the handle.

But the door remained firmly shut and didn't budge. Hm. Hasuko shrugged to herself. Maybe it was okay if the call went unanswered, otherwise the door wouldn't be locked, right?
She took one last curious look around to see if anyone was going to come and then walked away to return to the main part of the Floresctival.

The Jack-damned phone was still ringing. Still. Ringing. Like a moth to flame Aislin was drawn towards the Boogy Box once more. It was like an itch someplace where she couldn't quite reach it. She gravitated towards the blue booth with it's weird upside down name. She approached slowly, eyeing it warily, edging in until she could lean up on tip toes to try and see into the window. Even hovering as high off the ground as she could manage with her hands cupped around her eyes she couldn't see inside.

No matter how much she strained, however, she just wasn't able to see inside. There was only one thing left to do.
She had to answer it.
Aislin reached for the keypad, fingertips hovering over the digits a moment as she tried to remember the last numbers she'd tried.

The code eluded her, however. With a frustrated growl she stalked off away from the Boogy Box. Maybe if she calmed down she'd be able to figure it out. Maybe she could find Cat and convince him to try and open the booth - surely he'd be good at something like this.
With that more calming thought in mind she stalked off.

Adyian walked back towards where the boogy box was located, getting nearer he could still hear it ringing. It did come it mind who ever was making that phone ring must have a very weird sence of humor or something, Adyian thought. Shrugging his shoulders as it couldn't help to give it another go to see if maybe someone would answer. So he walked back up to the booth to try his luck again.

Seeing that touch pad once more as he wished he had payed attention the first time he tried and gotten it to open up as maybe he thought it could have the same code. This time he once again just deside to push random numbers to see what he could come up with and to see if that would open the door up.
