Kai walked to the Nearest bathroom going through a nearby closet for some silk PJ's and a robe. She walked into the bathroom carrying her costume back in there as well shutting the door behind her. All of the things that she carried were dropped to the floor immediately. Kai sank to the floor and sat for a moment, thinking to herself how difficult it was becoming to maintain her deepest darkest emotions. She shook it off and removed her bandages and prepared to take a shower to clean her wounds. The water began to run a fume of steam rose from the warm water hitting the cold tiles at the bottom of the shower in the bathroom. She stepped into the steam and cleaned her wounds, blood and dirt away with the warm soapy water.
After she cleaned away the evidence of the previous battles that Kai had gone through were washed down the drain. She robed and sat on the ledge of the large limestone sink and began sewing at her costume after re-bandaging her wounds. She worked quickly with the costume thinking to herself about the big issues. Thinking about her parents that were working for IO... if they knew she was still around or if they would come after her. She worried about the government assassins that threatened the new people she'd met in this world. Even was even more worried about failing again out in the field. "I messed up so big with that fake Batman... I should have known" She thought. But she had found some shock proof black fabric that she applied to the upper portion of her newer costume working in the stitches, giving it a strong back stitch. This costume itself would be stronger than her previous one and within the hour and half that she spent in the bathroom the costume was done and she had packed up walking out carrying her bag with PJ's on.

Tim rubbed a bit at his eye with his palm and sighed.
"Ughhh- goodnight, d**k."
He was looking forward to what he hoped would be a full night's rest... of course if they got any new calls which with they could help, the batkids would have to be up and at'em all over again, starting off who knows how many more back-to-back missions and conflicts. Tim was truly hoping this wouldn't turn out to be the case, at least for tonight. He walked into the bedroom again, and after promptly shutting the door he walked up to the bed. The dark jacket that he had pulled off earlier was sprawled on the bed, so he tugged it off and tossed it to the side for the time being. He laid out on one half of the bed, on top of the bed sheets and blankets. Tim didn't care about the rips and stains he had obtained on his light blue shirt he continued to wear, and unlike Kai he had yet to clean away whatever blood and dirt accumulated over the last couple days. He just wanted some sleep... and honestly, he could probably think of several times where he was in a much worse condition than this. After stretching a bit to get comfortable he ended up on his side, facing the bedroom wall with the closed closet door and the dresser. Unfortunately, now that he was situated he was finding it very difficult to go back to sleep.

With no disturbances, Reaper continued to sit quietly and listen in on whatever thoughts he could pick up. One brain that he was picking caught his interest the most. Partially because of the information that he was unaware of before...
He had no idea that the government was picking off heroes, and for a moment wondered if that is what had happened to Strange and the others. But he pushed that thought aside. Anything that could take Strange out of his own house was something way beyond government.
He amused himself a bit with the girls growing problems. After the hard time she'd tried to give him, he might have to file all of these little topics away for later conversation...
He could also kick himself for not being close enough to her earlier to try and catch some of the blood that she had washed down the drain. It was long gone now, and he could have used whatever power lingered in the DNA.

Kai walked into the room that Tim would've been staying in and tried to open the door close it quietly. She hoped to not try and wake Tim especially if he was already sleeping. After the door was shut she walked over an slid her back under the bed then lifted the blanket climbing under it trying not to disturb the bed. It wouldn't be that hard since Bruce had afforded really nice beds for the Manor. When she was settled in she curled up as close to the middle of the bed as possible against Tim. With everything, just being close to someone, already started to help her relax.

Tim hadn't been able to sleep yet, despite the time it took for Kai to get ready and finally enter the room. He could tell she was trying her best to be quiet, and she was doing a very good job... but she wasn't the only one who was trained by the bat. Even so, once Kai was settled Tim decided not to say anything, since he wasn't sure how long it would take her to go to sleep. With any luck she would find an easier time to do so than himself, and hopefully her presence would help him sleep as well.

Kai layed on the bed for a few minutes and noticed that Tim's breathing, at least for someone sleeping wasn't normal. He had to be at least a little awake if not totally awake laying next to her. "Is he nervous about sleeping with me?" Kai thought. She turned her head to look at Tim And reached one hand over to grab Tim's shoulder. Her hand rested lightly onto his arm as she spoke very quietly and softly to him.
"Tim, are you still awake? Did I wake you?"

Tim paused a moment as Kai broke the silence, keeping still even as her hand rested on him. After a beat he responded in relatively the same volume Kai had spoken.
"...I can't sleep."

"Is it me? I can sleep on the floor or leave if would help Tim..."
She kept the same moderate whisper that she had before and took her hand off of Tim.

This time he was quicker to answer. That wasn't it.
"It's not you-"
Tim felt warmer, with Kai in the bed too. It was comforting- and it wasn't like closeness was going to bite.
"-just a bit restless."
By 'restless', he didn't mean he was any less 'tired' than he was before... maybe too many things were circling his thoughts. He tried keeping aside the collapsed Tower, the 'new' Bats, the friends they reunited with, the new friends they made and the friends lost... the new enemies, the San Fran dome, the latest missions, this son-of-Bruce business, the rest of the bat-fam that was missing, his Father's well being ... every issue, event and update was working its way back into his mind during the quiet time he had laid there on the bed. Tim was suspecting this was a reasonable response... but he didn't feel like talking about much at the moment.

She looked away in thought for a moment to figure out how to better comfort him. Kai rolled to face him under the blankets and raised them up over him... well, through him, fazing the blanket through him and then allowing it to settle above him. Her arms then reached around and cuddled Tim closer to her.
"Tim it's okay. You think to much, I know this, you just need to relax and let go of whatever it is and save it for tomorrow."
She buried her face Into the blankets as she got them around the two of them.
"My Tim, the one who knew me... I never told him much about myself, but we were good friends... I regret not telling him, and I suppose, I should tell you why I don't want to be alone.. that is if you'd like to hear it. Maybe then you wouldn't think so much."

Tim blinked, turning his head a bit to watch the blankets faze up through him. That wasn't going to get old any time soon, and would probably catch him off guard for the next several times she does that kind of thing. He let the warmth and the security of the blanket and Kai's presence take over. She was right. It was like RC had read his mind- his overcrowded, overworked mind. It wasn't like he hadn't already figured how well Kai knew 'him' from her own verse... the 'other' Tim was able to share such a good friendship with her. She placed so much trust in him-
"...ok-"
.....why she didn't want to be alone...?

Kai hesitated for a moment to try to find the right words to say to Tim. He was a good friend and she didn't want to ruin that in anyway or change the way he saw her. She took a deep but not exhausted breath and began.
"Tim, this world is causing me a great deal of stress. To a point, that, is making my soul very unstable. And... Being around people, people that I know and Care about, reminds me that I have a soul and makes me feel like I can be myself and continue to be myself. I don't want to loose my soul so easily especially now..."
Kai was talking slowly and calmly to try and not sound winded from her small speech. Nice and easy is what she thought would help not bring up any worry to Tim. She rolled over to lay on her back near the middle of the bed and looked away from Tim. As she looked away she continued.
"Bruce probably suspected that I wasn't human, at least one with a soul like mine... Souls... Anyway, I believe that being around you can help me stay together, and, I want you to know that I will be there to help you whenever you need it."

Tim paused to turn his head so he could see Kai out of the corner of his eye; his vision had grown somewhat used to the darkness. He had known some of her power dealt with aura and souls already... there was a little bit of discussion and deminstration at the Tower bunker.. Tim still didn't understand all the specs, but he could see where she was going with this- he was a source of security and reliance to her, just as much as she was to him. Tim smiled a bit.
"-I'll be there for you, too."
This was afterall, a crazy world. From the same verse or not, they were in this together. In a way, that did help Tim a bit with his restless-issue. All these problems were arrising, but he had to remember how he wasn't alone in this. None of them were alone.
"Thanks Kai."

"You're welcome, Anything for a friend. But, I guess we'll leave it at goodnight/day/afternoon/whatever we have plenty of time later to talk about stuff if you had any questions for me and my questions for you Tim."
She Curled up under the blanket and got warm underneath ready to fall asleep. Kai didn't quiet know exactly what he thought of her but he probably would have suspected she wasn't human anyway. As much as she wanted to be human. Soul taking, during times of despair, happened when she was alone. The last thing she wanted was to be alone, now that she knew the full extent of her powers and her past. They weren't everything one would need to take a soul, but, nothing really to help others, powers she didn't want. Hopefully Tim would not find out or ask about the dark happenings of her past and she could skip them but any question about this lifetime she would answer. Her dark past, it reminded her of how she felt about the new member to the mansion. Blake Stone, didn't quiet feel right to Kai, she felt a little worried that such a man with aura like his would be in the Mansion. She had a feeling of vulnerability around him, with him there, for some odd reason and she couldn't quite point it out.

Tim gave a short quiet grunt of agreement.
"Yea- maybe tomorrow-"
He allowed his drowsiness to work its way back into his voice. He didn't know what time it was- and the more sleep they could sneak in, the better. Tim's sleepiness finally overtook his curiosity and overworked thoughts as he began to drift off.
