On the matter of the PO and DS thing, all I have to say is why? If the point of having half the rounds PO is because some people lack the time to train a finished DS team, yet you still have half of the battles using these teams... why have the PO battles in the first place? One would need a fully-trained DS team in order to stand a chance in half the matches anyway, so why cripple the chances of poor saps like me who have all the time in the world to train a team but are unable to install PO? That or just similarly make every match PO. Having each of them make up half the matches makes it a pain in the arse for someone who doesn't have one of the two; at least making the tourney all from one system means that someone who lacks it doesn't have to bother stressing over finding a partner willing to help them. Anyone else seeing my point here?

@Staticman: As Kyren explained, we plan to alternate between each system every round. This would mean with partner teams, each person would have a designated system to use. Say for the first round, we designate DS battles. That would mean the person designated to use a DS in a partner's gym pair would battle, whilst the other would wait till the next round to battle, alternating between. If said team wins the gym spot, when challenges are issued, depending on what the challenger has access to, that will determine who will battle. But we'll get more into specifics on that after we determine who will be our new gym leaders.
@Scrapjack: LOL, I agree. However it can't be helped since we are either still waiting on the deadline to pass as well as for everyone to finish up their teams for the competition.
@Gamefreak: I do friend. However, we decided this would be best considering many people were put off with B&W's online system, thus converting over to PO. On top of that, we didn't want to put off any DS veterans, such as yourself, by completely converting over to the PO as well as have options open to casual players new to the scene, so they won't have to take time to learn how to us PO when challenging said leaders. This was considered for the best of both worlds so everyone would have a chance to compete. If you are still having trouble finding a partner at the start of the tournament, I'll gladly partner up with ya.

Take me for example: I could gladly get a DS game if the online system was not going to limit me to 3 vs 3 teams, or make me raise the level of all my pokemon to 100, which I am highly against. So, I will be covering the PO aspect because I have much better things to do than waste my time grinding 30+ pokemon.
And I am also still need of a partner.

Actually when I was able to challenge the old gym league, I was aspiring to become one of your apprentices! So I would gladly be your partner, if you would have me!
