Sparrow worked hard on her assignment. She found this harder than the last assignment especially since she had gotten to draw on the last one. Sparrow found it also interesting. She didn't have much time in class because she spent most her time researching, and she had been super busy this week. She had tried to put in the best quality possible, but she thought it might not be good enough. Determined to hand it in and hope for the best Sparrow walked up to Professor and said, "Hello Professor, Here is my assignment for this week."

Sparrow's Asssingment

Evolution is the change that occurs over time in an inherited trait found in organisms. Human evolution (also known as anthropogeny) is the origin and evolution of homo sapiens as a species. There is such a difference between what muggles believe actually happened because there is very little actual hardcore evidence on the matter.

I would agree that humans evolved from apes. Apes flourished around the world millions of years ago. Human DNA is approximately 98.4% identical to that of chimpanzees when comparing single nucleotide polymorphisms. This theory makes the most sense to me. The apes would adapt to their surroundings and needs and their brain functioning could become more intellectual as they grow and discover.

((Sorry its not that great I've been really busy this week. Wanted to get it in though))

((It's not very good, but its better than nothing I suppose. I was busy so I did it on kinda short notice. Sorry.))

The Bubonic Plague

The Bubonic Plague affected the religion, and population, and many witches and wizards were at risk during this time. People thought there was no God, because if there were a God he or she wouldn’t allow such a horrible thing to be happening, then they latched onto religion and believed in the afterlife more than ever. Death was all around the men and women of Europe. To find a way to calm them, they turned toward the afterlife and what it would hold. Population was reduced drastically during the plague. 25 million people, one third of the population, died from the Black Plague.

Because the disease was going around so quickly, everyone caught it, even witches and wizards. Though the witches and wizards could heal themselves, they couldn’t without raising suspicion. How odd would it look if almost everyone got sick in the village but one person? As a result, the magical population was decreased as much as the Muggle population.

Homework:
What is evolution? Why is there such a rift between muggles as to what really happened? Which side would you take and why?
Answer:
Evolution or biological or organic evolution is the change over time in one or more inherited traits found in populations of organisms. Inherited traits are particular distinguishing characteristics, including anatomical, biochemical or behavioral characteristics, that are passed on from one generation to the next. Phenotypic expressions of these traits can be influenced by gene–environment interactions. Some didn't believe in Charles Darwin's theory because most people are Christians, Christians who believed in creation. Since I'm a Christian, I'm in favor of the creation.

"Umm, thanks you, professor..." Devon reacted nervously as he translated the professor's statement as her welcoming him in Muggle studies. He shook it off and pulled out his assignment and placed it on top of his desk.

(Hmm. Not my best work either)

Homework; Second Years.
Author: Jules Verne

Jules Verne is a French author who is supposedly the third most translated author in the world. I believe that. He wrote a lot of science-fiction and adventure novels and I'm sure even a wizard couldn't have come up with such fantastic ideas. He wrote three books that I love the most; Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea, A Journey Into the Center of the Earth and Around the World in 80 Days. All those could be very well possible in our wizarding world but it took a lot of work and imagination to come up with that !

Mr.Verne was born in France and often rent a boat during his younger age. He had a lot of passion for travelling and exploration and it shows a lot in his work ! In 1842, at the Saint Donatien College, it is believed that one of his teachers, inventor Brutus Villeroi was inspired by Mr.Verne's submarine concept and for he became famous for inventing the US Navy's first submarine. There's even a rumor that Mr.Verne was so fascinated by adventure that he traveled for a brief time (his trip got cut-short) on a boat to the West Indies ! Now that's a notable man. He even met with Victor Hugo and Alexandre Dumas, two other great authors of the 19th century. One of his works, Paris in the Twentieth Century, is rather accurate in some the muggle technology. Skyscrapers, high speed trains, calculators, Internet... Not bad for a book written in 1863 !

It's hard to know exactly where all of these genius novels come from, but his passion for the strange, the world are certainly an important deal.

“He lives the poetry that he cannot write. The others write the poetry that they dare not realise.” - Oscar Wilde

Nathaniel stretched himself after finishing writing. It wasn't his best work, heck, almost all his information came from his book. He submitted his assignment to the teacher. He didn't even glance to check if Amelia or Ginny were there. He wasn't sure if it was time to see them yet.

Lena

Lena ran into the classroom, late, and rushed to one of the nearby desks. She quickly read the writing on the board, which already had the assignment written upon it and went to work straight away. She firstly went to get the pieces of material she desired and began working on creating her outfit, measuring and cutting pieces of fabric and then sewing them together. After a while, around an hour, she was done. After asking the Professor she went to the bathroom to put her outfit on and came back to show the nice yellow shirt and black capris to Professor Catalina.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Lena, once again, sped into the classroom, terribly late. As soon as she had finished reading the instructions from the board she began to search in the given magazines for a muggle dress. When she found one she liked she began to write the two paragraphs she was to write, and after about twenty minutes, during which she had compared the chosen muggle dress to the dresses she had seen at different occasions, she walked up to Professor Catalina’s desk and gave her the piece of parchment.

Ghaleon Elmerast, Ravenclaw, 2nd Year

Ghaleon handed his assignment in as quickly as he could. He didn't have a whole lot of confidence in what he wrote however, feeling he could have done better. He shook his head and went back to his desk, waiting for the class to be dismissed.

"Gracias, clase," murmured Catalina, clutching her new stack of papers to grade. Why was it that as soon as she finished grading one pile, another reappeared in its place?

"Por favor, come back tomorrow to see what the new assignment is. Until then, no tarea," she said, graciously. Peering down at her students, her pale face and azure eyes blinked one, twice, and then she said throatily, "Class dismissed," shaking her mane of raven hair behind her.

Sparrow nodded at the professor before collecting her things and heading out the door. She started humming on her way out. She was humming Caiden's song from yesterday.

Devon stretched his arms, jumping off his seat. He winked at the professor as he walked out of the classroom.

Catalina sat down to grade her stack of papers. It slowly diminished in size, and she looked at the three highest grades in the class, two Gryffindors and a Hufflepuff. Exhaling through her long nose in a short, quick burst, she gracefully rose from her cushioned chair and enchanted the only speck of chalk left in the classroom.

Making a mental note to quest for more chalk, Catalina began to dictate to the object:
Quote:
First years: Last week you learned about the Middle Ages and their effect on muggles. This week you will write a diary entry of what life might be for a witch or wizard living in medieval times. Be sure to include elements of how muggles from that time period effected the daily life of your fictionalized self.

Second years: Last week you learned about muggle authors and their impact on the muggle world. This week you will write a two paragraph essay on wizarding authors and how their experiences helped them write their works. Do not forget to answer whether or not you think muggle authors and wizarding authors write for the same reasons. (Think about the authors of Harry’s text books if you are having trouble).

Third years: Last week you read about evolution. This week you will draw a picture of the evolutionary cycle.

Fourth years: Last week you learned about muggle formal wear. Using the same spells as two lessons ago, and my materials, you will create a formal muggle outfit and show it off in class.

Please submit your work in class as it will help your classmates to see an example and it will showcase everything you as an individual are learning. This assignment is due lunes abril 25. You may take a break due to the impending holiday.

Sparrow entered the classroom with a grin. This had been a great week so far. She finally had Caiden as a boyfriend and he was really sweet. She sat down in her seat giving a nod to the Professor. She liked this Professor she gave them a challenge. sparrow spirits did slightly sink when she saw the assignment. She didn't exactly understand the evolution, so she had no idea how she was going to draw a picture! She got out her books and started to flip through them.

Lena

After being informed of her assignment, Lena got her wand and the pieces of material she desired and returned to her desk. Using the same spell as two lesson before, she began to cut out different shapes out of the material and sew them together using Suo. She then finished by adding a few stiches here and there to add a few details and then went to the bathroom to put her outfit on. She returned to the classroom and walked to the teacher's desk. I’m done. Here’s my outfit, Professor. She said. She wasn’t sure if this was muggle fashion since she didn't know much about it but she’d done her best and hoped it would get her good enough grade.

Catalina eyed Lena's outfit, walking around the young Gryffindor slowly to take in all the details.

"Si, very nice. It could use more of a flourish, but it will do in the muggle world. Gracias senorita," she said in her deep, rich voice.
