Saskia found it strange that Angela felt compelled to justify her actions to her as she hadn’t verbalized her thoughts on the matter. She could understand the desire to come to the rescue for another, who was smaller and weaker than yourself. But the fact that Angela had taken savage pleasure in it didn’t sit well with her though she wasn’t about to explain that to the apparently blood thirsty girl. Extending from her curled position she stood and looked at the sky one last time. ”Time for me to retire.” And so it was. Turning from the other two experiments she made her way back up the front stairs and to her room where she laid out on her bed fully clothed and considered her first two conversations in as many years..:*´¨`*:•.:*´¨`*:•.:*´¨`*:•.:*´¨`*:•.:*´¨`*:•.:*´¨`*:•.:*´¨`*:•.:*´¨`*:•.

Phoenix knew that there was a certain sense of gratitude to be had when harming someon who had hurt a child. Not that he loved it, but sometimes things have to be done in oreder to prove a point. Saskia, however, did not seem to understand it, or she saw something in Angelica that he hadn't.
"um..well, goodnight!" he said as Saskia went back up the stairs to her room. "well, that was...interesting." he muttered as he turned to face Angelica. "What exactly happened? i just heard some commotion and then figuring it was a child, left before i did something crazy." he stiffled a yawn behind his hand, it was gettin pretty late.

"One of the guards set fire to one of the childrens arms. They both should be at the infirmary right now. I don't think that girl likes me too much," Angelica let out a sigh and sat down worrying about the guard and little boy. "I should really learn to control my anger. Even if the guard hurt him first. I'll probebly get scolded," She let out a nervous laugh and sigh once more.

"Well that wasn't very nice of the gaurd to do." Phoenix said as he looked at the tiny concave section of rock beneath his palm. "i don't think she does either, but i don't really know why." he said generally puzzled. he personally had liked her since he met her. in a friendly way! "yeah, you probably should. Just be glad they won't drug you just to be safe." he let a tiny bit of anger show in his voice. It really annoyed him to be drugged like that.

Kari watched Lucas, still shocked. She felt even more stupid for not being able to realize that, that was the reason he was chasing her down so persistantly. She looked around to make sure no one else was around. He seemed to have come alone. 'What he said about not taking me back to the mansion must be true then...' She hesitated for a few more seconds then followed behind him, leaving a big distance away from them.

"I'm pretty sure they won't drug me. I mean they would have alot of experiments against them," Angelica yawned and resisted sleep. "Well I need to go back to the infirmary. I'll see you later then, alright?" She got up and walked to the door and waved to Phoenix and continued on to the infirmary where she saw all the children in a huddle and she smiled. She plopped down in a chair and drifted into a sweet dream.

Lucias strained to hear Kari's footsteps and sure enough she did follow but from a distance away, deciding to leave her alone and not bother her Lucias continued along the beach. Once he got there he stopped, moving out of the way in case Kari was in a daze and bumped wouldn't bump into him, saving her possible embarassment. Sitting on a nearby heathered log he pat the spot next to him before taking out the cat robot and started to repair it. "Come sit next to me, don't worry, the cat's deactivated." He spoke and held up the limp cat formed metal heap. "How's your curse? How far has it taken over? So far my curse has more subtle effects..." Lucias trailed off and held up his hands, the ends of his fingers were turning onto light brown hooves, just subtle so far. Pushing his hair back he revealed much more sheeplike features, ears like a black sheep's and curly wool under his hair. "I don't mean to scare you but touch my head. Right here." He spoke and ran his thumb over the top of his head where little curving horns grew.
"My feet are hooves too now, gotta fill my shoes with sand. Wooly ankles too." He joked and put the cat away in his pack. Taking some sandwiches out and trying to give one to Kari again. "You must be hungry huh? Just eat."

Kari continued to follow him. Although she suspected he was deceiving her, she also felt that he was kinder than other scouts she had encountered over the years. 'He's probably only being nice to me so that I will trust him, then give him some of my blood. Then after he'll dump me somewhere without even giving me some of his.' Hmph. Her brows furrowed. She'd have to keep her distance and keep her eyes on this boy.
She turned her head from her daze to see the boy sitting on a log. She rolled her eyes and seated herself on the sand next to the log, still keeping a good amount of distance from the boy. When he started to describe and show the effects of the curse, she turned to gaze at them, suddenly curious. She immediately turned her head back the other way, to appear like she was looking out at the distance the entire time, when he offered her the sandwich again. "I have my own food..." Kari felt the spot next to her and realized she'd left the bag of groceries she had just bought back in the shack. The only thing she had been able to grab was her backpack, which now only have some granola bars and apples in it, plus her empty water bottle. She rolled her eyes. "Of course, I'd be so misfortunate..."

"You're not so misfortunate when someone is offering perfectly good food." Lucas pointed out and leaned over to hand the sandwich to Kari before sitting back, still giving her space and being patient. Taking his sword out he tossed it on the sand as a gesture that he wouldn't hurt Kari. He had no intentions of doing his job as a scout, not today at least. "Being on the beach is like a vacation huh? Today, I don't feel like doing anything." He grinned as he sang the second line, mainly saying it to try and get Kari to relax.

Kari sighed and took the sandwich. She carefully inspected what was on it because, even though she was in such a hard situation, her pickyness of food never ceased to be there. It appeared to be just a regular turkey sandwich. She made a disgusted face when she slid out a tomato from the sandwich. She hadn't eaten any meat in forever. She only carried things that wouldn't spoil in a short amount of time. Most of her sandwiches, if she had the luxury of having one, would usually be peanut butter and jelly.
She nibbled on the sandwich, trying not to show how hungry she was. When Lucas started to sing the familiar song she looked at him, then quickly turned away and finished eating.

"Hey Kari, you should eat the tomato." Lucias poked but then his phone buzzed and he signaled for her to be quiet. "Hey boss. What do I have the pleasure of chatting to you about?" He spoke, almost sugar coating the words.

Kari finished eating her sandwich and licked a couple bread crumbs off of her fingers. She ignored Lucas's comment about eating the tomato but she quickly listened in once he started talking to his boss.

Ryoku watched the whole thing, he converted his clothing to camouflage within the background as he had his arms crossed and leaned against the shadows of the wall. Seeing the girl named Kari was in no danger, Ryoku was gonna back off but remembered that sandwich in the scouts hands. Licking his lips being careful when is the exact moment to snatch the sandwich out of their hands.

Ayoto from a distance planted a bug on Lucus from the beginning, seeing Lucus wasn't doing his job again and was treating the experiments with kindness, Ayoto loaded sleeping dart rounds into her sniper and lined up her shots. As a blue laser light was shined behind the female experiment back. "One shot is all I need...for the greater good...".

Ryoku squinted and saw what seemed like a blue laser light pointing directly behind the female victim. Without thinking, Ryoku charged yelling "Watch out!!". As the sound of the sniper firing off a round, Ryoku pushed the female figure, only to break his camouflage and concentrated on hardening his clothing from behind as he felt the shot came to a hault, only to notice the dart pierced a centermeter into the back of his jacket.

Kari listened intently She moved her hand across the sand, trying to find a sharp rock. She looked at the ground and picked up the nearest rock she could find, wanting to be able to defend herself in case Lucas's boss told him to attack her.
Her concentration broke when she heard a voice yell and come right at them. She looked over and at the last minute saw someone push her over. She gave out a loud shriek when she fell to the sand, closing her eyes.

Lucas spoke to his boss with ease, no trouble lying to him at all. "Well boss, I got to get going, on the tail of another run away and she's a devilish one, puts up quite a fight." He laughed casually while the voice on the other side snapped at him and cut him off. "Hurry up and catch her then, do your job Lucas!" Nodding Lucas hung up and smiled at Kari before seeing some guy appear out of nowhere before moving Kari out of the way, hearing the impact of a bullet on some hard surface confused and cleared things up at the same time. At least he knew that the guy saved Kari. Taking out a robot monkey and a hummingbird he quickly activated them and shifted into black ram form himself. Completely. He rarely fully transformed himself because when he shifted back he'd be a little further along in the curse and he'd like to stop it before it got anymore noticeable.
Glaring he found Ayoto's position and sent the bird to it while he ordered the monkey to stay and keep the two safe before dashing after Ayoto from another angle.
