As the forces of the Negaverse converged on the senshi sanctuary, Merope would feel guilty later. He was actually relieved to have something to do. Elysium for all its eyecandy was nothing more than a place to sit idly by and wait, distracted and tormented by his thoughts. He had abandoned Atlas and Alcyone to stand up and be among the first to engage their collective opponents. He would feel guilty over that later as well -- but what good would he do to wait with his teammates who had long-ranged attacks? He needed to engage the enemy close and personal.
There was a drawback to his strategy, however: his opponents could fight back. And when you had to make physical contact with them in order to damage them, this made things a bit tricky. "WAVE --" He shouted, cutting himself short as Laurelite grabbed ahold of his vest and threw him. What the hell?! How could she do that?
He yelped as he collided with Chibimoon and Juno, quickly scrambling to his feet and offering hasty apologies. "Sorry! Sorry! Here --" He offered his hands to both, quickly pulling them up if they took his offer of assistance. If not, he looked foolish for a moment before dropping his hands to his sides, trying to locate his teammates.

Themis simply had no idea what happened next. Yes, he got punched, but the rest was a blur in his mind - he did not seem to react to the cat jumping on him, though he winced when she landed on the massive forming bruise on his chest.
The cat asked for his pen, and he surrendered it, almost mechanically. He wouldn't remember her even asking for it, or him handing it over, but nonetheless it happened.
And then he glew brighter than a chistmas tree in winter, indeed - mostly shades of blue and black, until...
Until, there was a whole lot more white. When the lightshow stopped, Themis was... different.
He coughed a bit, still rather out of sort, though he finally noticed Chloe on him - and Pomona, another from his team, nearby.
"What." He asked, weakly. "Just happened ?"
Was it possible to feel beaten up to hell and back and yet just like someone plugged you into a wall socket ? Because this was exactly how Themis was feeling.

(Backdated solos on which this is based haven't been posted yet, but happened before this fight.)
Sailor Chaonis had not been the most active participant in anything up until now. He wasn't one for meetings, and had been lurking through it. He wasn't one for strange new things, though his lurking had changed into interested observation and private wonder. But if anyone looked at him, he had just frowned and recrossed his arms, even if they had already been crossed.
Sometimes it was difficult for him to control himself, grumpy for no reason, when it was most uncalled for, to people he didn't know. His dad called him a typical teenager, and he was probably right.
But now there was a battle raging around him, and he would be damned if he stayed out of it. He saw a few negaversers he recognized, but he recognized one face close by and that was good enough for him. The Nega that had tried to kill Tony, for one, and had stabbed him, Chaonis, with a horse on a stick.
Lieutenant Painite.
Painite was standing with other Negas, nearest to Richterite, who seemed to be as baffled and overwhelmed as she was, watching the fray and wanting to join, but simply not knowing how or not sure what good she might be. Mr. Saddles was a lovely tool, but without her gadgets, which hadn't been pulled through with her, she didn't think he would be very useful in this kind of a brawl.
It was strange, being forced into this situation without any plans to help her. She was detail oriented, with plans and back up plans, though often flawed and rarely encompassing every occurrence. But even they were better than this. She had no plan, whatsoever. She was jazzed by the thrill of the fight, and the words that had been shouted before, the feeling of camaraderie that had pulsed through them before hitting the battle field. But now they were fighting, and everything was so insane, she wasn't sure what she could do, and where. Her mind was a whirl of activity, confusion, and she shook it in an effort to clear it just a bit. If she could focus on one senshi, any of them, or one of her companions, she would be able to figure something out. She taught improv, for heaven's sake! Act on your feet, remember your lessons, focus and stay in the scene, but don't overthink it. Just act. Just do.
She looked up from her thoughts and planning, previously distracted by wondering how to jump in and who to fight, or how to help those of her fellows who might do better with her aid, when she heard someone yelling for her. A familiar, gruff voice that was all but bursting with anger and, in its own way, eagerness. She saw the Senshi, the one who had saved that librarian, barreling toward her. She had no idea of his relation to the civilian, or that his anger was tied to that, specifically. She just thought he was pissed because she had defeated him.
"WARNING: FISTICUFFS AHEAD!"
"Oh, s**t!" Painite yelped, raising Mr. Saddles in her defense.
Chaonis didn't give a damn for anyone around him, even though he knew that once his powers gave out, there would be an earthquake-like backlash that could damage the battlefield, or hurt those around him, good or bad. Who knew, maybe that wouldn't happen in this place? He had never used his attacks anywhere but in Destiny City, after all. Maybe they were area specific? Unlikely, but he wasn't even considering it. He didn't care. All he wanted to do was beat the Negaverser down.
And to do that in the best way possible, his attack was in order. He hadn't been able to use it when Tony needed him, for fear of hurting the helpless elder Darrow, but now? Painite was going to see just how much of a mistake she had made, trying to play tricks on Tony.
And stabbing him. That too.
Painite charged forward with her hobby horse in hand, not wanting to fight but knowing she had to. She couldn't be afraid of this, or any other, senshi: no matter what kind of power they might have, how good at fighting they were, what rank they held: they were the enemy, and the negaverse would win out over them in the end. And she would help, or die trying.
Feeling bolstered, she jabbed Mr. Saddles forward, aiming to stop Chaonis in his attack by having him run into her attack, which was targeting his gut. He had other ideas, though, seeing the attack coming and, she supposed, learning from last time. He grabbed the horse head and pulled it away from her with a sudden jerk, sending her off balance and careening toward him, which he used to his advantage by slamming his powered up punch right below her ear.
She hit the ground hard, everything ringing, from the sound in her head to the sensations in her very bones.
Chaonis wasn't done, and moved to punch her while she was down. She hadn't played fair with him or Tony: he wasn't about to show her any civility or courtesy now. This wasn't a duel: this was a damn brawl.

-Slowly but surely her feet suddenly began to try and creep away from her, and as Polaris attempted to stabilize Europa, she found herself stumbling to keep her own balance. Luckily for her, even as she began to fall Europa was pushing her up up and out of the way, her feet shifting cautiously on the steady ground. Quick sand or an attack? Something strange.
Her free arm went around Europa's shoulder, feeling all the more secure in the fact that she needed to stay near her while she babbled something that only vaguely made sense. What to hit, what to hit. The giant beast woman was a likely target.. though she already had a few senshi attacking her. There were some fairly scary people flinging people side to side with seemingly minimal effort. She finally settled with the two on two battle, aiming Europa towards Mica and Esperite.- "Go ahead!"
-Not exactly the projectile one would have expected, Juno nonetheless jumped in instinct, offering poor Merope a brickwall of shoulder in which to met with instead of the chibi princess. She wasn't really a brick wall however, and the whole thing sent her slamming backwards against the ground, gritting her teeth as pain shot through her back.
Neither was that worse for wear though. She groaned, taking the offered hand with a grip that was perhaps just a bit too firm, pulling herself up.- "Thanks"

Scheelite had seen his share of battles, having been in this 'war' for over a year now. He also had the bad tendency to rush right in and not think and just react. Thankfully for him this left him with some pretty quick reflexes.
Quick as a flash Scheelite summoned his guitar back to his hands and placed it right between Arsinoe's foot and his kneecap. Whew, knees saved! That done he lifted it, cranked the dial, and jabbed the pointed end right at Arsinoe. Much like a tazer, an arc of electricity flashed between the tips of the guitar head that Scheelite had thrust straight at him.
That one attack, whether successful or not, was quickly followed by just flat out throwing the guitar at Arsione before he proved once again that he was quite good at running into battles without thinking. Armed with his fists and a crazy grin, the blonde captain charged right at Bellatrix.

Chloe jsut STARED at the nega darted back into the mess of bodies being flung everywhere.... the hell was her face that scary? Perhaps the light frightened her off... all the same.
The work done, Chloe looked down at the now super senshi. "Welcome to Super-dom, kiddo." Super-dom was not a real word she just made it up. " Wish i could give you the shiny super special run down BUT i think theres some nega-a** to kick at the moment?" She wished she could heal wounds..themis might be super but he still took a nice beating. leaping off Themis's chest and gave a nod to him.
"STAY SAFE." She said, darting as someone almost stepped on her. A battle field was really no place for a 7 lb small cat.

She might not have been able to see it the way Iris could, but the blind girl wasn't completely out of the loop. Metis was pleased to see her attack's effects sink in, the pulses of white in the Negaverser's aura a nice beacon to tell the difference between him and the rest of his comrades. Not to mention his raised arms told her all she needed to know. He was blind, and hopefully stupid.
...although Iris got a quick scolding glance from the brunette, even if she wasn't paying attention. Why talk when the sounds around them would make it all the easier for them to get the upper hand here? Still, she only gave a quick nod and hopped back a step or two. She wasn't going to abandon her teammate in a fight, but she was no fool. Her fighting abilities were minimal to none, she'd just have to keep an eye open in case she had to offer a hand in this.
It might have remained a relatively easy fight though, if not for another body joining the count. Metis looked up when Mica barged in, also addressing Iris. Just how many enemies had the older senshi made, anyways?
The weapon in the Lieutenant's hands made her raise a brow. A cane? A cane in a fight against a blind senshi? Had this been any other circumstances, she probably would have laughed at the irony here. Instead, backing up a little more so she could divide her attention between the two Nega-agents, she rolled her eyes at the new comer's words. "What are you, a pathetic Team Rocket knock-off?"

General Queen Apatite hip-thrusted crossly in the general direction of General Queen Laurelite, and hopped off her stone. So what if her colleague could throw senshi around willy nilly? It wasn't like she could turn in to a vampire or anything.
Point.
See, her stone was totally a tactical position! How else could she leap down and find herself right beside Chibi Moon? (she may have run to the left a bit, then down-- past a couple of senshi fighting-- but really, she totally had landed right on top of the pink haired loser.
Spinning her chakrams, Apatite slid towards Chibi Moon, hips shaking.
"If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it, oh oh ohhh."
And then she hocked a loogie in Chibi Moon's general direction.
Subterfuge!

It felt... infuriating.
It felt like white hot pain searing through her with every punch that she could do nothing to stop. It felt like the right side of her face, covered in the thick, black skin being caved in slowly, like teeth coming loose and rolling across her tongue. As if Nemesis' punches were not enough, the familiar feeling of Castor's hail raining down upon her lit up Tanzanite's senses with pain, red welts raising where the large chunks of ice hit. One came down upon her arm, and sliced a quarter-sized whole clean through. The youma screamed with a horrifying noise, like a thousand tortured voices shrieking in unison.
It felt, also, like Nemesis had overplayed her hand.
"Time is up."
The attack could not last forever, and just as her right cheekbone caved in, the monstrous hand was moving fast. It pressed to Nemesis' chest, and with a grim, one-sided smile, the black fingers extended suddenly. They rushed out in sharp spikes that skewered through eacch of Nemesis' shoulders, pushing her back and back until the claws sank into a nearby tree with a dull thud.
And Tanzanite slowly stood. The left side of her face was bloody, the right side nearly caved in. She looked almost unrecognizable until the youma took over, it's resistance to physical damage knitting flesh and bone until her cheekbone popped out like a fixed car dent. It sucked the teeth back into their blackened canals, leaving the right side of her face faring far better than the bruised and bleeding left. The sound was sickening.
One of the extendable claws hovered at the pit of Nemesis' neck, pressed just hard enough to draw a single drop of blood between her clavicle bones. Tanzanite turned her black eyes on Castor, looking upon him for the first time through the eyes of a General.
“Take another step, Castor,” she all but growled the words, her human voice almost as harsh as the one which echoed it, “And I will make senshi shish kabob out of her. Are you willing to kill her to kill me, Castor? Are you willing to have more blood on your hands all in the name of killing one. Little. General?”

Pomona looked at Themis, then at the cat, then back at Themis. Finally, she couldn’t help it: she whistled.
“ Nice outfit. Super Themis, eh?”
Not exactly the time or place to have such a conversation, but that had never stopped Pomona before. Besides, it was a well-timed power-up, seeing as how previously he had looked like something that cat dragged in.
… Hey, that was kinda funny.

He had been expecting something but he hadn't been expecting -that-. His foot collided with the guitar and seconds later the electricity wrapped around his ankle. His whole body seized up for a moment and a wimper of pain was choked out of him.
Thankfully it didn't last long and as the guitar crashed to the ground he rolled over panting. His ankle blazed in pain as if someone had wrapped a burning rope around him and his leg twitched occasionally. "God ... damn it..."
He saw Scheelite head toward Bellatrix and cursed again. Pulling himself to his feet, trying to shake off the pain of the shock, he picked up the guitar and with every bit of effort he could muster heaved it at Scheelite.
It was big, pointy, heavy, and it would -hurt- if it connected and the blond wasn't paying enough attention to dismiss it beforehand. Once done he fell back to his knees. His ankle hurt and he didn't know how much standing it could take.

While he certainly wouldn't say that he'd been content in standing there watching the scene play out beneath him, he had been alright enough. He had wanted to do more, but at the same time he'd figured it would be pretty damn stupid for him to just... Go down there and die. What should he have been doing? Asking the Senshi if they fancied a game of Magic?
Pff.
What finally jostled him out of his loathing was the charging attack made on the Lt. that had been standing closest to him; a girl with a hobby horse who'd seemed every bit as lost in the fray as he was. He saw her go down. He saw the senshi towering over her. He saw the way he was about to hit here again... And that was when he stopped seeing and started acting.
Lt. Richterite put some of his athletic reflexes into play, ducking forward in an attempt to catch the senshi's fist before he could hit the girl again. "Hey, a**, why don't you pick on someone closer to your own size, hm? Or does it make you feel more powerful to punch a defenseless girl?"

Bellatrix had tried to help Arsinoe. Too bad he let his pride get in the way, as it appeared to her, and didn't take the opportunity. It was because of that, she didn't make a second move to help him. You just can't fix stupid. Tsktsktsk.
Now she had a weaponless Scheelite charging at her. The dark smile returned. She met his charge with her own, and they clashed. "No weapon? I feel like I'd be cheating if I used this then." Negaverse captain was spared the spear for now. This fight would start with fists.

Sailor Albali had been falling apart in space but when she'd gotten terra firma once more everything had somewhat fallen back into place. Her mind had reeled the whole time and desperately wanted to make sense of what had happened in a logical, non-deity related happening. The teen absolutely refused to believe that Kurma was some sort of deity and whatever the Serenity remnant had done well...that was baffling. Yet they were unmistakably on what looked and felt like Earth, she was breathing oxygen, and everything was fine for a moment.
And then that moment ended and Chaos erupted. Albali had been standing near her mentor Sailor Ares but the melee quickly separated herself from everyone remotely familiar. The pigtailed young woman had tried to fight her way through with the skills of a mid-range jujitsu student. But nobody hit her. So much was going on and the only thing that Albali could have possibly stepped into was so disgustingly overpowered that she couldn't have done a thing with it!
Yet how could she scream to a senshi to please hit her with their least powerful attack so that she could be useful? It wasn't a secret that telling someone all of your own secrets was a very bad thing to do and Eilian's power of Echoes was not something you wanted to blurt out in front of the enemy! But there was a flash of lovely black hair and an amazing sheer blue cape -- Sailor Scylla. "Scylla! Scylla! HIT ME!" It was the easiest way to say something that needed happening.
Running over, she thought to say it more clearly. "You have to hit me. We can pull Negaversers off of everyone if you let me use your tentacles!" That was clear, wasn't it?
---
"Oh s**t." Coralie had never sworn before in the English language except on accident. She did now as Apatite stood over her fallen form and spit at her in a way that would have normally brought the senshi to a screaming fit and had her clawing out the pink-haired General-Queen's eyes. Except that woman was a pink-haired General-Queen. Eyes looked from Juno, to Merope, then back to Apatite. Then back to Merope...hadn't she seen him before? Yes! She had! He was the one who had dove beneath the falling eyes of Snow Princess Kaguya and taken one for his prize.
The rainbow crystal had chosen him. So why wasn't he using it? Why was he being thrown around?
"Hey! Hey! Use your crystal! Use it on her!" Fingers pointed dramatically at Apatite and desperately she hoped that Juno would get the message even if Merope was a hopeless clod. She really hoped he was not a hopeless clod.

...What ?
Chloe was gone before he could answer to her, and so that only left Pomona, whom he turned his head to look at, not getting up from the floor at the moment.
His vision was still blurry, to be honest. "I... guess ?" There was this undertone of holy s**t, im still alive in his voice.
It was only then that he tried to get up, and finally managed to do it after some stumbling. The white sleeve of his new coat was staining red, and he put his hand on the wound to try to stop the blood flow on pure reflex.
"I thought I was..." Gonna die. Yup.
