BogiePop
how big is that guy
Fortress Maximus was two feet tall, and remains to be the largest Transformer ever produced.

The show (and subsequent toy line) featured a reportedly non-cybernetic heterogeneous being known simply as Savage/Noble, which possessed something akin of this suggested peculiarity, yes.

One of the less spectacular plot twists, yes. Megatron tried to separate his organic and technological sides. That gave rise to Savage Noble (dragon/werewolf), and the large head that floated over the empty planet of cybertron. Meg's spark stayed with the bestial Noble. That was an interesting twist, but they didn't hide his true nature all that well.

Still, that is proof of how well this Megs worked. His plan, though partially failed, ultimately succeeded because of him tricking his enemies. pirate

I'm probably repeating my self in stipulating such, but "Transtech" would have surely rectified any percieved shortcomings... presumedly.

The only problem with Transtech is that fans might have appreciated it, but kids wouldn't have bought it. It was just too out there.

they went religest at the end of bw and over did it in bm
PostPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2006 3:00 pm

Religion was always a huge component of the British Marvel comic mythos, so I didn't have a problem with its inclusion in Beast Wars. But from what I've heard, transcending from Christian-inspired piety to the heavy-handed quasi-Buddhist doctrines spouted in Beast Machines wasn't all that successful. And Transtech wasn't to be aimed at a child audience, rather it was targetted towards teens, as was the case with the previous two series. Guess Hasbro thought 'better' of this decission and scrapped the concept in favour of something decidedly more kiddie-friendly. Bah.

i noticed that Beast Wars in general was a lot more adult and mature than any other transformer cartoon...

Beast Machines... a large regret. It had a good plot... A small handfull of warriors against a planet... but...it jsut lacked teh flare the BW had. Horrible graphics, een worse story line, and others...

If you notice in Code of Hero, at the very end where they're burning his body, if you lok closely at the bottom left side you see Rattrap not transmetal...

and I think it's Master Blaster in which Cheetor is seen transmetal instead of transmetal two

the graphics wernt that bad it was the coler skem i think it was as if they wanted a dark setting and realy bright ppl in it and the ppl were ugly anyway you look at it
PostPosted: Fri Mar 10, 2006 6:47 am

The dim lighing of Beast Machines was implemented in order to mask the fact that the low budget had not afforded the production with the time or resources to generate intricate background detail. The models themselves are quite refined from what I've seen, but the designs in a lot of cases are rather odd. I'd normally suggest that this was the fault of the toy manufacturer, however the animated characters scarsely resemble the figures in many cases.

Another BW easter egg.. Unfortunately I don't remember which episode this is, only the season...

in an episode in Season 1, when Megatron is sleeping in a hamper, if you look at the shelf as the camera is panning towards him, you seem Starscream's head... I think there are other things on that shelf of interest, but I don't remember them right now.

My biggest problem with BM remains the be the "Organic side of Cybertron"... unless Primus has foot fungus, there IS no organic side of cybertron.

Another problem I had was the graphics. Yeah, the main characters were well animated, but everything else was crap. Not even good explosions. The explosions were cel-shaded.... CEL-SHADED!!
