Bhaltair shook his head, keeping Alek hidden from view as much as possible with his large body.
"No, they haven't. I'm pretty sure that's a good thing, am I right?"
He slowed down slightly, looking around the corridors as they walked. His voice lowered,
"We're nearly there Alek; but it'll do you no good to get caught here, I can assure you of that."
He looked down at his friend,
"Ready?"

Lilith put a hand up to his throat, rubbing it slightly & exhaling.
"Phew.. you're a fiery one."
He looked Angela over once more before smiling - revealing his lovely white teeth - & answering her question. Though it was a lie, the demon had become so used to doing so over the years that he sounded just like the truth.
"I have been sent as an apprentice ma'am, I was on my way to see you when I heard the commotion in the containment area. When I got there Guido was losing conciousness - I'm not really sure what happened to him - but he told me his name, that a succubus had escaped & sent me to get help. Thus, here we are."
A mischevious glint sparkled in his eyes & he couldn't help a little bit of flirting,
"Now I'm kinda glad. I got to meet a lovely lady like yourself; fiery, I like that."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 25, 2010 1:10 pm

"It's a good thing and a bad thing, It means I'll have to decrypt it myself, but at least they don't know..."
He listened to Bhaltair when he lowered his voice, glancing up at the centaur briefly before looking forward again to speak.
"I'm always ready"
Alek said out of reflex before a short pause.
"... Ready for what exactly?"

Angela, being easily flattered as she is, took it as a compliment that she was dubbed fiery. She instantly overlooked any doubt, and let the male on his way, not knowing it was in fact the succubus he had mentioned. "Make sure you sort out some help please," Angela asked, and then walked back to her office to gather some supplies before checking the other cells.

As if on cue, Angela's telephone began to chirp as soon as she set foot into her office. Or rather, it seemed to almost burrrp rather than chirp. Angela dropped the bullets that she had picked up back onto her desk, and reached the phone up to her left ear, holding the mouthpiece almost at her cheek. "Hello, Angela Porter speaking, how may I help you?"

Now, what transpired next was emotionally draining for everyone. It made alot of people cry. Her family. Her friends. His family. His friends.

"Hello Mrs Porter? This is Officer Lewis Cinarta speaking..."
"Officer, the situation is under control, I am dealing with it as we spe..."
"No no Angela, this is not about the facility situation, we trust you to sort that out. I suggest you take a seat."

Angela swiveled her chair around and gently sat down.
"Yes, Officer. Seated."

You know that Angela's husband is away fighting right? In Iran? Well...

"Mrs Porter, we have some horrific news. Mr Porter has passed away...."
".........."
"Angela?"
"........."
"Angela? Are you there? Mrs Porter?"
"......thank you Officer."
"Would you...like to ask...anything?"
"No. Thank you Officer."
"Angela we need you to come and identify his body...sometime today please..."
"Yes Officer. Right away."

An hour passed, and Angela was stood in the nearest Chapel of Rest. A white blanket covered a corpse. Angela was now dressed in a black work suit and white pinstripe collared shirt. A single nod noted that Officer Lewis could pull back the sheet.

"It's him..." she breathed. Angela lowered her head and touched a kiss to his forehead. Then she ran her fingers through his freshly washed hair, and then down his arms. It was there that she felt them. Staples upon stables upon staples holding his body together. "Mrs Porter. He was hit by a rather large bomb. Several of his team mates passed on too. He wasn't alone..."
"Wait. Bomb?"
"...Yes..."
"Then it can't be him!"
she cried out, "He wasn't working on the frontline, he wasn't in danger of bombs,"
"I'm afraid a bomb was dropped on his base Mrs Porter,"
"No..it's not him...it...it can't be...it's not him! He was safe! Please, you have the wrong guy!"
Angela started to plead with the officer.
Her eyes were now welled with tears, trickling slowly down her cheeks and dropping off of her chin onto her suit. Her voice was coming out in ragged gasps as she started to panic and struggled to breath. By now, her sight was impeded by the tears, and she had turned back to her husband's corpse.
"C'mon babe, wake up. Stop playing tricks on me. That may have made our daughter laugh but it doesn't fly with me. C'mon now! Get up....get up...please....baby? Babe I love you...wake up..." She started to shake the body, gripping it by the top of his arms. Angela then let her husband lie after some more sobbing and desperate pleas, and her face dropped down to rest on his still, hard chest. "He's...gone..." she sobbed, hysterical now. Leaning up, Angela touched her lips to his, noting how horridly cold and stiff they were. A hand touched her shoulder to steer her away.
"Get off me! It's all your fault! You were his leader! You should have saved him! You should have...you should have warned him...should have warned him..." Angela shrieked, landing feeble punches and slaps to the Officer's chest.
"Come on lass." he whispered, and wrapped his arms tightly around her, part comfort, part restraint.

Angela, now back at the facility, trudged through the corridors. Passing the succubus come incubus on her way, and walked into her office. She paid not much attention and left the door ajar. The light from her computer screen reflected off the glass of her photo...

That's it...no more. They've all gone...there isn't anyone left.

A downward spiral began to curl into Angela's life. And when combined with tears, depression and grief...it was a dangerous mix. Anger flooded her system and she flung the frame across the room. Upon hitting the wall, the frame's glass shattered, sending irregular pieces all over the floor.

Angela dropped to her knees, her hands splaying on the glass and cutting up instantly, and tears dripped onto the photograph of the three of them. The girl - gone. The husband - gone. The wife.....going. An idea....or rather a wish..dawned on the lone scientist. She now had nothing to live for. Angela wrapped her fingers around a shard of glass that was under her hand, letting the sharp edge dig into her palm.

A few gashes...or a slit to the throat...no, not sharp enough. Angela slowly lifted the tip to her temple, the edge already embedded in her hand and the tip pressed against her skin. Bracing herself against the floor, Angela began to lean her head onto the shard of glass.

A pool of crimson blood formed at the base of the shard, it's source - Angela's head. A few centimeters were buried in her skin, and more and more were inching their way in. It will all be over soon.

All the pain.

All the grief.

The suffering.

The anger.

Gone. Just like that.

Angela's vision began to blur. Her screams now not being contained, rippled with a blood curdling frequency through the facility.

Dark.

Not long now. She would see them again...they would be...

Together at last.

Bhaltiar smiled ever so slightly, his great body tensing. He was looking straight ahead, at a set of metal doors. Behind those was the artifact Alek was looking for - along with a lot of other artifacts - & armed guards. There was no way they were getting through there without being questioned, so the centaur had something else in mind.
"Ready for this."
In a flash the horse-man scooped up Alek & threw him onto his back, before rearing onto his hind legs. When he charged the two doors, his heavy hooves made a sound almost like rumbling thunder. His muscles rippled as he moved, bunching together as he reared up again & smashed his front hooves into the door. This had the desired effect of causing the guards on the other side to throw the metal doors open; before they even had time to register what was on the other side, Bhaltair had brought his heavy fists into their heads, knocking them out in one hit.

Having seen Angela walk by again - Lilith hadn't gone too far in case he was questioned again & because he was being nosy - the incubus knew something had happened. The sorrow emanating from the woman was an almost tangible force, crushing the air around her. He raised his eyebrow as she walked into what he assumed was her office. The demon was caught. It was probably the riskiest person he could try anything with but, that said, the amount of power he'd gain from a person who's life was practically flooding out of them... it was a rather large amount.

Next thing he knew, Lilith was knelt down next to Angela, his hand grabbing her wrist tightly. He was holding her hand away from her head, preventing the glass shard from embedding any deeper into her head. With his other hand he touched the underside of her chin & lifted her head so that she was looking at him,
"Hey now, it's no good going & killing yourself. Won't solve a thing. Perhaps you can tell me what's going on?"
His pale blue eyes gazed at her in a way that immitated concern, even though he felt nothing of the sort. In fact, seeing her deliberately hurting herself had been rather pleasurable, but he couldn't go & let a good energy source die now could he?

((By the way, can I just say? Holy crap. I applaud the long post! That has got to be one of the longest posts I have ever seen XD Also, poor Angela D= )

A hand around her wrist urged Angela to open her eyes. Blood matted her hair on one side, and tears formed pale lines from one side of her face to the other, angling down to the floor. "W...what's worth living for huh? They've all gone...this is the only way I can see them again!" she grumbled, and yanked her arm free.

This sharp motion caused the bloodied shard to slip free from her hand. Angela started to clamber towards it, when a sharp pain struck through her brain. "Argh!" she cried, and keeled over. Angela then paused...

And blinked.

And blinked again.

And sobbed harder.

Her right eye, on the side of the temple that she had started to impale....was non-functioning. Angela was blind in that eye.The woman rose to her feet and started to claw at her eye, pleading with it to work just one last time. She started to stumble backwards, and toppled over a pile of books, hitting the floor.

The shard was next to her now, so Angela decided to cut her losses and snatch it up, swiftly drawing it across her left wrist - another source of blood loss. A rather sadistic sounding voice emerged from her now - "This should be over soon..." it stated, as Angela started to draw the shard across her other wrist.

(Hmmmm, it appears I've been forgotten...)

Adrastos made quick work of the men within the vehicle and then continued to make his way towards the facility, at a faster pace then before.

As the facility came into sight Adrastos' keen hearing picked up the sounds of an alarm. Something was happening, something that would probably give him enough cover to slip inside hopefully unnoticed despite his size. Picking up speed he entered the facilities grounds and kept to the sides so as to avoid being noticed, all the time maintaining his speed and looking for a way in.

(I'm sorry ninja, i'd just had that idea for angela for a while and had to play it out smile

Falixus followed Adrastos, taking to the air above him. Well...for prolonged leaps and bounds at least. "Alright, if I cannot fight you, I will join you," he promised. The alarm hurt the slightly feline beast's ears, but as falixus used his sharp wing claws and toes to scale a wall that housed the facility, Falixus was now determined to make his way inside.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 27, 2010 2:18 pm

(It's alright, tis a good, albeit sad, idea though she seems to have gone off the deep end... o.O)

Adrastos tossed his head before taking to the air in one powerful leap.
"You're help is appreciated and is both good and bad."
He circled over to where Falixus was scaling the wall, red eyes scanning everything for an enterance.
"It will be much harder for us to get in unnoticed, neither of us are by any means small."
A low chuckling like sound erupted from the avians throat.
"Perhaps we should, ahh what was the saying the humans use? Oh yes! 'Go in with a bang?'"

"I coulda done that..."
Alek muttered as he slid off of Bhaltair's back and looked around the room which was very much larger than he'd expected.
It was a vast collection of small artifacts, kept in an equally vast room that consisted of a huge cylindrical central column, that was easily over 100 feet tall and almost as wide, and an outer wall, both of which were covered in small lock boxes that contained the various artifacts.

Stepping over one of the unconscious guards, he looked forward over the edge of the floor on which he stood, spotting a perfect white floor below.
The room they were in was almost half way up the massively tall outer wall of the library and was open to the huge drop.

A moment passed as a platform appeared from the other side of the column, it's motion fluid, as if it were floating on air, when it was actually being moved around by a perfectly balanced and precise system of thousands of heavy duty mechanical arms, that would appear from holes in the walls to carry the platform across then retract back into the walls once the platform passed.
"Jeez... So this is where all that funding went?"
The ancient man laughed as the platform aligned itself with the floor level of the room.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 27, 2010 2:31 pm

Bhaltair chuckled as Alek slid from his back,
"I don't get much chance to do so to humans, it was.. fun."
He smirked a little, then looked around the room. He had only been in her twice before & he never got used to how much machinery was held within. He swept an arm out, indicating the room.
"Well, off you go Alek, go find your artifact. But you must hurry, I doubt we'll have long here. Then I'll have to come up with some kind of explanation as to why these guards were knocked unconcious..."

The incubus watched Angela with unblinking eyes as she crawled away from him. He rose to his feet as she fell over the books. Lilith continued to watch her as she picked up the shard of glass again & began to draw it across her wrists; though he showed no outward signs, he was almost ecstatic by the amount of pain she was inflicting upon herself. His eyes fixed up the rivlets of blood running out of Angela's head & wrist, watching as the woman's life began to seep out of her.

He couldn't help himself. In one swift movement, the incubus strode towards the woman, grabbed her wrist (the one with the glass shard held in the hand) with one hand & took hold of her waist with the other. Next moment he was kissing her - well she hadn't said he couldn't - drawing the life she was trying to leak out of herself into him. Not that Angela would feel any adverse effects, in fact, she might even like it.

"I'll take the blame, I'm big and ugly enough to take a little wrist-slapping"
He stepped onto the platform, letting himself become used to the strange sensation that came with standing on it.
A small control panel rose from the platform in front of Aleksander, almost startling him. Almost. It displayed a huge list of items on it's small screen, as well as a search bar, which was helpful.

Alek jabbed in the exact code for the artifact, despite not ever having ventured into the library before.
The panel, seemingly surprised, took a moment to locate the lock box in question, the platform lowered.
The ancient man saluted to his four legged comrade as he descended, the platform halted with a friendly beeping noise just before the top of his head disappeared from Bhaltair's view.
He turned and punched the lock box door, busting it open so that he could reclaim the map that had been taken from him.

The map, which was beautifully decorated with gold leaf, was kept in a vacuum-sealed plastic bag.
"Well, that was easy..."

Eyero, by this time, changed back into her human form and found a lab coat hanging somewhere and put it on. She walked like she was important and turned down a couple corridors and then she smelled it. Fresh blood. And the scent of an incubus. Her nose wrinkled in distane and she followed the scent, knowing she would find trouble. She came to an office, her nose now heavily taking in the scent.
"Well time to get this over with," she said to herself and opened the door to see the incubus beside a woman, just plain draining her of her life. Eyero growled and glared at the creature.
"You...leave the woman be!" she said in a meancing voice.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the facility, Guido awoke to bright lights. It appeared that he had been whisked away to some sort of medical station. The stunningly white walls told the scientist that much, as did the wires now attached to his body, which were in turn attatched to an irritating machine on which a blur of lines and beeps seamlessly intertwined in Guido's head. It was giving him a headache. It was even worse than the last time he had chosen to utilise his power, and that had been one of the most painful experiences he had ever gone through. He sat up in his bed, allowing a murmur to leave his mouth.

"I must be feeling my age..."

At this point a nurse walked in, who seemed very much relieved to see her paitent's wake, and although the nurse was undoubtably attractive, the paitent in question had other things on his mind. Ignoring the nurse's gentle words, Guido shook his head violently, causing him to sober up immediately and begin disconnecting himself from the medical equipment. Although his top had been stripped in order to deliver diagnosis, Guido had no particular concern for this right now, as Lilith was no doubt already in trouble, and there was still another matter to deal with.

Lifting himself off the elevated bed he had spent some time unconcious on, Guido immediately headed for the exit. A map of the facility was memorized flawlessly in his head. But where to go? Angela's office was certinately an option. She'd help, for sure. Lilith should be a safe distance away from the facility now. He could go find her... or him, now the full detail of their previous encounter re-entered his memory. However, something tugged inside Guido's mind. He was sneakier these days. Finding him again would be a hassle. How long had Guido been unconcious for? This might be his last oppourtunity. But where. Guido sighed as he headed out of the medical bay fairly unsure of his target. However, the alarms which sounded to alert guards to an escapee somewhat quickened his pace, deciding theat now his only option was to go as deep into this facility as possible.

A tranquiliser dart flew past Guido's face. My leg's a whole lot better now, he thought. He'd remember to pick up his cane later.

This was so out of the blue for Angela - not only had she tried to top herself (and was determined to continue doing so) but she had now let a man...or what she thought was a man...actually kiss her. The usual, unbroken Angela would have shoved him away in a flash, and most likely brought a knee up to his baby maker. But now...

There was no husband to set her mind straight. No daughter to ask her "Mummy why?" Only the soft sound of her cries and sobs escaping their lips. Yes. Their lips. Angela made not one effort to push the man away, she simply pulled back when she felt the time to be right. "Why...?" she breathed, and stepped back again. Angela dropped her gaze to her wrists, and that, alongside with the deep penetration on her temple, started to make her weak.

As said, she felt no adverse effects from the incubus' kiss, but the blood loss left her body to slump to the floor as she attempted to step back to the incubus. Landing on the shards of frame only made her chest scratch up, and as Angela lay, now on the brink of her very life itself, her unconsious mind began to hope and pray that this was indeed -

Death.

It had come knocking at her door. It brought with it the promise of a reunion, the darkness of the passage to heaven and it took away the grief and the sadness. Except, the passage was not what Angela had expected. It seemed so real, so...un-dead. And rather than being led to the gates of fate by a black cloaked skeleton, it was her daughter who had come to rescue her mother.

Come on mummy! We'll be late! rang her sweet little voice, although the girl's mouth was still.
"I'm coming!" Angela replied and started to jog towards what appeared to be a silver white gate with a jet black 'Fate' enscribed on the handle. This was where it was decided.

Heaven or hell?

But wether or not Angela was saved determined how happy she was. And it determined if she would even pass the gates. It was a short while after Angela realised that what she had done had worked that she noticed another familiar face - her husband. He was stood just inside the gate, his face rather blurred by the distance and the gate's energy itself, and had reached a hand through the bars. Angela, being the woman she was, scooped up her impossibly featherweight daughter and danced towards her husband, before setting the girl down and reaching for his hand.

Their fingers connected...

Ari-Goes-Rawr

Unfortunately, a situation has arose that requires me to discuss your part in this RP. Now, despite the Captain being overall ruler, this is my RP, and I have found a problem with your RP content. It has come to my attention that your RP posts are rather un realistic, take this, and I quote;

Quote:
Her now sharp wings broke the bars with ease and she stealthily slid from her containment.

This is a high security (even though low among the other Angelus Corporation Facilities) and so this would be impossible, no matter what. Don't get me wrong, your skills are more than adaqueate for an RP (excuse my spelling there) but let me make the suggestion that you revise the RP and character information before you suggest that such things are possible.

Please Ari, forgive me if this is rather harsh, but I have let it slide for some time. Now...if only the captain would edit this and put their comments at the bottom....*hint hint*

Captain's note: Well, I'm going to put my comment in now. In this situation, it would be fine for a character to escape from containment IF they have been helped - such as with my character. Since it's onehorsey's RP, I'll let her decide what to do from here (unless of course, people want more of my input).

Thank you for the note Captain. Ari...do you have anything to say on this?
