I know that there is some major hating on me in this guild lately and I am really pretty sad about it. There doesn't seem to be much I can do because even when I try to be nice to the people who don't like me, they don't care. I have always kinda just been really chill about it.
But one thing has royally pissed me off lately. That being that LPS has changed The Mafia Maniac's password.
I don't know if she has given out the new password to other people but she wouldn't give it to Zach. I don't think it is fair to deny Zach or myself access to The Mafia Maniac, we have never used it or (when we were mods) our mod powers unfairly. LPS has proven repeatedly that she abuses it. She has deleted my posts for no reason other than she thought I was having an attitude. Given all the s**t other people start, it is pretty obvious that she was seriously abusing mod powers in my case.
I think that if The Mafia Maniac is supposed to be an open account to all members then it should be just that, I thought we weren't giving power to selected mods any more? But that seems to be exactly what LPS is doing, and in a terribly unjust way. Rather than letting people select mods or who should be able to access The Mafia Maniac, she is deciding herself.
I think we should at least get a chance to prove we don't deserve access to it.
I regularly check The Mafia Maniac for join requests and use it to send announcements, I hardly think I should be denied those activities. Especially when I have done nothing wrong.

Dess, I only have one problem with you, and that is that you care too much about the things you have no control over and this can sometimes cause you to be a) extremely bossy or b) quick to make judgments that I think are sometimes unfair. It's not a bad thing and you're not a bad person because of it, I just think that it causes you a lot of unnecessary stress and irritation over things that are really not worth getting mad about.
Take this, for example. The only people who had that password (that I can remember giving it to) were you two, me, Allegro, and Cookie. Now, given what just went down recently, doesn't that sound like a bit of a recipe for disaster? I trust you guys, but mod-power abuse has happened before in this social circle and I wanted to eliminate the possibility entirely until the quarrel cooled off. It really seemed much more like common sense than punishment at the time, it's a temporary thing, I didn't give the password to everyone but you (I had actually just planned on changing it back in a week or two, actually, so no one has it) and I'm sorry it's caused you so much stress; I did it this way in the hopes of preventing a shitstorm.
But all of that is a moot point when it comes to the fact that it was my decision to run the guild like that in the first place, and if I were to decide that I didn't like the way it's working, then I would have a right to change my mind and it wouldn't be any of your business. If you don't like the way you're being treated, or the way I run s**t, you can complain or you can leave, but I really don't care about what anyone thinks I 'should' be doing.

I think that if you want to take control of the guild that is totally fine, I actually meant to say that. But I also think that if you are going to do that, then you should say so that just seems fair (though I guess I shouldn't be saying what you "should" do because you seem to only care about how you feel about things). I didn't say that you gave it to other people, I actually specifically said that I didn't know what you had done. And I also thought it was Allegro's idea to run the guild that way, he is the one who brought it up.
Since you didn't say you had specifically not told anyone, how was I suppose to know I wasn't being punished? How was I supposed to know that several of y'all hadn't decided together and thus I might feel unfairly treated? Also, I would think that at least Hobo and Amber also had the password because they were mods when it was posted in the mod forum, not that it is particularly relevant, I'm just saying.
I also think that what you think I think causes you unnecessary stress because I seldom care anymore. I mean it sucks when I feel like people who have never expressed an issue with me suddenly ignore me, but I haven't been all that worried about what people (like you and Cookie) who have said they have an issue with me think.
And to be fair, all I was doing was complaining (which you just indicated was appropriate). In the thread that would be appropriate for it. And how could I be telling you what I think you "should" be doing? I was under the impression that you couldn't see my posts.

-Dessynea- I was under the impression that you couldn't see my posts. I thought that was just me. As for the nonissue of the captain's password: I had forgotten the password and the PM with it has either been eclipsed by a thousand from Med or I deleted it. I only needed to use it once, after all.

Anyway, Dess, there's a difference between not caring about how you feel and not feeling responsible for how you feel. I unblocked you to talk about this because I do care about how you feel, but I think you're being a little bit silly right now, honestly, and I'm having a hard time seeing how it's my fault that you jumped to preposterous conclusions instead of just talking to me (don't use the excuse that you're blocked, Wylr and Scrumptaints aren't). I mean, I asked Wylr what he needed to do on the Maniac and he didn't even respond.
I understand that you are angry and I really am sorry that I presented a situation that caused you stress, but was it really fair to me to assume I was purposely excluding you two without even telling me why you needed it? I wasn't aware that anyone regularly used the Maniac - I didn't know I was stopping you from doing something you do all the time and I certainly didn't do it on purpose. If you had talked to me instead of making a snap judgment, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Anyway, you're right about one thing, trying to resolve a situation that I don't think has any reason to exist is causing me unnecessary stress, so I'm going to go back to enjoying my life. The password will be changed back when I perceive the atmosphere around here to be a little more peaceful, and you will be informed. If there's anything like this that's bothering you that you'd like to calmly and rationally discuss, you can always PM me through Wylr or Scrumptaints. Maybe we can avoid some of these miscommunications in the future.
