"In-tru-da window," she replied looking VERY pleased with herself. "Thought we'd left off on a bad note yesterday. So I bought a pie and figured we could make up."
She pointed her sonic screwdriver at his stove and shut it down before he burned the house down.

He wanted more pie but he ate it all so he put the plastic tray in the garbage. He was silent not knowing what to say. "Well, I'm sorry" he said which was the only thing that came to his mind.

Rose's eyes softened.
"Don't be," she replied, "you were right. I was wrong. It was my mission, but it was still wrong."
She took a deep breath. "Actually, I wish I could be more like you."

He titled his head. "Be more like me? I just have the boring life of an actor. From what I've seen you must of traveled the world. I wish I could do that. But I don't think it will ever happen." he said as he sighed and took a seat at the table.

"You will travel some day. When you're ready, nothing will be able to stop you," Rose smiled with certainty, "I've seen a lot of things, John. A lot of them good, a lot of them bad. The bad ones still sting, and it's hard to remember there's still kindness and goodness in the world. But people like you, John... People like you are special. No matter how dark things get, you don't let the bad affect the good. Even in a Cybershade... something so inhuman, so murderous, so terribly monstrous... you see something worth pitying."
She looked at the screwdriver she was cradling in her hands..
"I'd a friend once, he'd remind me that the universe was filled with such wonderful things and it was up to us to keep those ideas alive. He'd be ashamed of what I've done. I suppose I still need reminding."

Amy got up waking from the loud scream from john. She giggled before quickly changing and checking into to see if john was okay. He was fine, he probably was startled how rose showed up out of nowhere. She didn't want to ruin the one on one conversation they were having so she just stood near the side of the wall the closest to the kitchen. She stood near a tiny crevice where you couldn't see from the kitchen and started to eavesdrop without really meaning to. She smiled as she listened to what rose and john said. John was starting to sound even more like the doctor and that made her smile. She just stood there listening in wondering when one of them would catch her listening in on them.

John looked into Rose's eyes. "Rose, what are you to me? I feel like I've known you forever and you talk as if I've always been with you. The way you freely use vocabulary gives it away. Please tell me, I don't want to be left in the dark." he said while taking her hand.

Rose gave him a sad look. She wanted to tell him, she wanted to simply pour her heart out, but she knew that wasn't how it was done. So she would tell him bits and pieces...
"There are places, John. Places where all the could-have-beens come true. Sometimes, if we're lucky, we can find a way to cross through to those places," she replied quietly looking at his hand, "we've never met John, not properly. But I met someone very much like you. The Cybershades come from that world but just as they're the stuff of nightmares, He was the stuff of dreams. He was wonderful, taught me everything I know, he was my hero, my friend and I..."
She looked at him with glassy eyes.
"I couldn't save him, John. I die in front of me, and even then he was a all smiles and rash bravado... After he was gone, the world became so empty then. It was as if all the stars had dimmed. But he left me a note, a final mission," she smiled sadly, "without him, the Universe was alone and unprotected. I had to take his place, if only to keep humanity safe for a lifetime. So you see John, I have no family, no friends, no one left for them to take away. I can fight the monsters on equal ground..."

His eye's lowered "I see, so I was just imagineing it" he got up and took out the food. "I'm sorry that I remind you of your good friend. It must really hurt"

"A little, yes," she admitted but gave him a genuine smile, "but I don't mind. I'm glad I met you, John. Even if it was only because you sat down at my table to get out of the rain."
She then noted his answering machine had a message.
"Check you messages yesterday John?" she asked with an inkling of who might be trying to get in contact with him.

"Huh? oh ya" he said while clicking the button and the answering machine said 'You have 20 messages'. John raised an eyebrow "that's a bit more than usual" Soon the messages went through about interveiws and a raise and you have to get down to the theater as soon as you can and so on. "That's weird I thought they wanted to fire me" he said while eating breakfest and eating. He finally called in Amy for food and offered Rose some food as well.

Rose looked like a cat who had eaten the canary. She smiled and raised her eyebrows in 'surprise'.
"Why would they want to fire you?" she asked innocently as she accepted some toast, "From what I saw you certainly have a knack for the theater..."

"What do you mean by 'from what i saw'?" he said while looking accusingly at her. She had the look of some dark doings about her. And her 'surprised' expression wasen't very convincing.

"Well you were practicing your lines for quite a long time before the pie got your attention," she replied in that same innocent tone before taking a bite of toast, "you were very convincing is all."
She wondered if his 'Doctor sense' was tingling. The man always did distrust her when she played innocent.

He narrowed his eyes at her. "Yes, I see" he said with a disturbed tone in his voice.
