I think I can handle it, professor. *Stares down the previously rampaging needle, imagining its triumphant return to its wooden state* Acus! *The needle defiantly remains silver and pointy. She begins to pout*

Hmm... It appears I need to find another match, I put mine away... *Walks up to the matchbox, pulls one out and places it on desk* Well... *Waves wand intricately over match and transforms it into a needle* Excellent! *Waves wand above the needle again and watches it turn back into a match*

*I give a reassuring pat on the back to Liviana*
Try not to be so rushed. Picture every detail about the match, down to the rough texture of the head and the nearly polished finish on the stem. Take a deep breath and try again. You'll be able to complete this in no time at all.
*I walk over to observe the student's progress and smile at Naomi*
Well done Naomi. You seem to have picked up on nonverbal incantations, but I warn you not to get too complacent with them. At the class gets harder, you'll find it more potent to speak the spells a loud.
Five points to Gryfindor for completing the first part of the second lesson. Please go up to my desk and retrieve a jar.

0-Azula-0 Nerevar Telvanni 0-Azula-0 Aludra smiled and twisted the nail around in her hand. "Yea, it's dead useful if you want to go roaming around at night." she whispered. "Now listen hear Azula, its against the rules to be wondering the castle a night. If I catch out out of bed, you will be in detention faster that you can say Quidditch, and if I catch you disguised as another student, you will be facing a much worse punishment. Hogwarts will not put up with that kind of behavior from its students". Aludra Yvette... "Put a sock in it, Gryffindor. Besides, how do you know what I was talking about? I could have ment roaming around my home at night." Aludra turned back to cloud and smirked. "As I was saying, it's useful for an Auror career too." ...6th Year Slytherin Smirks at Nerevar... I can imagine that it would be quite useful. I could definitely put that power to good use. For, ah, wandering my house at night. Grins and turns to Professor Zillah... I've finished my homework, professor, and my owl Tillion has delivered it to your office while I was away... Turns to her needle..."Acus". The needle quivers, and transforms back into a match.

*Copy's down the counter spell, reach's over and place's the needle in front of me. Picks up my wand, points at the needle imaging that its morphing back into a match stick, and say's*
"ACUS"
*The needle starts to morph back into a match, it first begins to grow fatter, and the silver color slowly changes to that of wood. The point becomes more rounded and begins to change from silver to red. After a few more moments the needle is once again a matchstick.*

Aludra Yvette... Aludra set her needle back down onto her desk and lazily pointed her wand at it, picturing the clear picture and image of the match in her mind. "Acus." she said clearly. The shiny silver needle on her desk started to morph and transform back into the match she had started with. Aludra pushed away her match and took a piece of parchment and began to hastily write down her homework: Switching spells are used for swamping one thing for another. In my opinion the switching spells are a complete waste of time and effort, the exception of the use of the spell in emergancies. What exactly are you going to be switching if not in an emergancy? Switch your nose for a bright red tomato? Unless it is an emergancy and you need to switch yourself or something else with another object, the whole idea of the spell is useless but a very important skill to have. ...6th Year Slytherin

-Nub copied down the counter spell . Then picked up her wand and pointed it the needle- "Acus" -the needle slowly but surely starts transforming back to it's previous form, a match- "Oh thank goodness, i'm getting better are this" -Nub began copying on her homework on parchment-
Homework: Switching spells are used to switch one item for another. I believe this spell is useful depending on the situation, of course. Especially for a quick 'getaway'.
