so...a pity date. Jana couldn't help but smile. "well thank you. I-...I needed it." she looked around wondering what had happened. she could feel the magic in the air and she could still see the boy...she looked over to Akira for the answer. but she could also sense the boy had magic as well.

"yeah." she muttered "I'd like to think that." too bad they're dead. she thought sadly. "I did need it." she, herself, hadn't actually taken the time to speak with anyone in a hundred years. "I'd love to talk with you, anytime." she said kindly and nodded when she understood what he had done.

"it's a Phoenix tradition." she stated her voice and eyes growing cold and emotionless. "We are strictly animals." she lay on her back with her hands behind her head looking at the sky. "we follow the three parts of nature: eat, survive, continue the blood line. My parents were no different. but, in order to receive all the same powers: immortality, being reborn from ashes, changing physical appearance, being made solely of flame. blah, blah, blah... " she didn't really want to talk about it. "they must transfer their power to the heir of their line. In doing so it will command all their strength and power and eventually they turn mortal and die."
