and maybe....you're gonna be the one that saves me... Before he knew it, Salem was watching a rather odd exchange between the Haunter and a girl dressed as a mad hatter. And then all of a sudden he was pulled a long back into the crowd. There seemed to be an interesting game of tag going on between the two.
"So, cheshire cat," he said to the other as the squeezed between wiggling bodies, "how exactly do you plan to hide from that crazy girl?" he asked with a laugh. He found this all to be so funny, as things the haunter did often seemed to.
Though Salem was always a failure at hide-and-seek games. Logical hiding spots didn't work. He would over think and end up ensnared before he even had a chance to process what he could do.
I miss your purple hair I miss the way you taste I know you’ll come back some day On a bed of nails I wait I’m praying that you don’t burn out Or fade away

"A trickster's smile" "Plan?" he said back to the Sableye, catching sight of something in his peripheral vision when he'd turned his head back to the man and felt something graze his skin, "I don't have a plan. I'm 'flying by the seat of my pants' as they say~" Shin grinned at the panda suited Sableye before pulling them both off of the crowded dance floor, glancing around quickly while trying to think of his next idea to avoid capture.
The idea came quickly enough, but how to execute it was another matter. The Haunter turned to face the crowd, eventually spotting bits and pieces of the Spiritomb he was playing 'keep away' with. Shin moved carefully to the side and back until she was just out of sight, before grabbing hold of the panda gloved hand firmly and jumping over the snack table that had been knocked down earlier in the evening, one hand on the frame, ducking low once the two were safely behind it's wooden board and metal frame. "You didn't see us~!" he chimed out loud enough for the other party goers near the table to hear.
He finally released the Sableye's hand before raising his index finger to his face, making a 'shh' expression while trying to remain still and listen. Well, listening for footsteps wasn't exactly easy to do in a room with blaring music, but it was possible if the person causing them was close enough.
"Sure you wanna trust it?"

B e l i n d a . J o n e s Mad Hatteress Belinda peeked between the large, masculine man that hid her from the panda and the cheshire cat. Watching them escape. A dark grin swept across her pretty little face. Her pearly white teeth glinting in the light. She was pleased and entertained by this game of 'tag'. Oh how Belinda loved to play tag! She loved playing childhood games with her servants. She enjoyed the adrenaline coursing through her veins as she sprinted away to hide herself within her mansion. Belinda remembered these wonderful memories. And it made her smile. She slipped out of the crowd. Her footsteps light and slightly audible. Her head turned, looking left to right. Her curled pig tails bouncing as she did so. Belinda giggled playfully and called out, "Come out, come out, wherever you are!~" Her voice was able to be heard over the loud, blaring music from the large speakers. Her voice chimed like a bell.
The Spiritomb looked over to the crushed , knocked over snack table. Her tongue and throat was dry. Due to her parched thirst. Belinda approached it, her heels clicking against the marbled floor. She stared at it the table which was on its side. As she neared the table, she noticed scattered bits of snacks and food across the floor. The food tossed and creating a gigantic mess. Belinda frowned in disappointment. Well that wouldn't do. SHe continued to approach it, her eyes resting on the broken punch bowl with the red colored punch creating a giant puddle that appeared to be blood. Her heels crushing cheese puffs into dust. But dodged the slimy, frosting covered foods, not wanting gunk on her shoes. As she neared the table, She noticed people staring at the table that was tossed over and muttering to their partners. They were muttering about two people leaping behind the knocked over table. Belinda chuckled and grinned deviously. Her feet carried her to around the table. Successfully finding the cheshire cat along with the panda. She giggled and her eyes closed in happiness. "Found you!" she exclaimed. Instantly, she pulled the cheshire cat out from behind the table and embraced him in a hug. Her arms tight around his waist.
Belinda began to sing out in victory. "I got myself a cheshire cat, a cheshire cat, a cheshire cat. I got myself a cheshire cat, and a handsome one as well!" she sang childishly. Her song continued for a few more minutes, her head nuzzling into his chest. Belinda stopped her singing and looked up to the tall Cheshire cat. "Soooooooo....cheshire cat. Now that I have caught you, Lets play some pranks!!!" she suggested with excitement.

and maybe....you're gonna be the one that saves me... During the few moments under the table, Salem had concocted an almost perfect plan to help the haunter in his game of tag. While safely hidden under the table, Salem had switched their costumes. Unfortunately, there was now time to coat himself in the body pain the cheshire cat had so he just made do with the cat's mask and gave him his panda suit. Hopefully it would be enough to fool the hurried girl.
And just as the two had finished the great switch, the table was moved. Salem held his breath for a moment, hoping the plan would work flawlessly and there it was. She pulled the sableye out from under the table and into a hug. Salem laughed "Meow, meow!" he mocked and looked back at the now panda, hoping he would escape.

"A trickster's smile" It wasn't long after the two had taken refuge behind the knocked over table that the Sableye had decided to switch their outfits. Shin had to hold in the pleased laugh that wanted to escape at the idea, more than glad to help exchange what little costume he had and slip into the panda suit. It almost surprised him that he hadn't thought of the idea himself earlier.
The panda suit itself was a little on the small side for him, but he managed, barely showing any traces of his dark and brightly painted skin, making sure his tail was still tucked into a pants pocket. As soon as he'd finished quickly checking over his new costume, the Sableye was pulled out from the table, and Shin wasted no time in making his escape while the girl had her face buried in the man's chest. He slipped out with barely any sound, tiptoeing quickly and quietly out from behind the table and straight past the high arch way he had been laying on earlier and out of the main room.
The Haunter didn't pause in his steps, glancing around quickly as he walked before moving over and opening the main door quietly, slipping out and closing it with barely any sound, not that much could be heard with the music being as loud as it was. He sprinted down the long cement porch before hopping over the far edge of the high raised porch, landing on all fours in a crouch and ducking down low to the ground, out of sight, counting in his head the remaining four minutes left of the little 'game'. It was colder now, much colder, and much darker. The only source of light was the full moon high in the sky, the few candles laid out on the porch's edge rails, and the two porch lights at the main doors themselves.
[[ It's fine. XD I actually thought of switching their outfits earlier but wasn't sure if I should or not. OTL ]]

B e l i n d a . J o n e s Mad Hatteress Belinda hugged the cheshire cat. Her face nuzzled in his warm, painted skin. But then, something didn't feel right. Her arms loosened around the male and she pulled back to look at him. This was not the male she was running after. The cheshire cat had dark violet hair. This man's hair was a light purple. The Cheshire cat had piercing red eyes. This man's eyes were icy and blue. The cheshire cat was tall and lean. This man was short and skinny. This man was missing the Cheshire cat tail and she frowned in disappointment. This wasn't her cheshire cat! The sableye and the haunter must have switched costumes. She giggled and then shoved the new cheshire cat away. Pushing him hard enough to make him fall or just be separated from her. With him here, the new panda was gone. She looked over to the crowd, noticing the tips of panda ears, quickly darting through the crowd. She smirked and began to follow. Belinda ran with grace and poise. She slipped through the crowd, following after the panda. "I'm coming for you, PANDA!~" she chimed, her voice louder to be heard over the speakers.
Belinda followed him outside. But when she burst through the door, the panda was no where to be seen. Gone. She frowned, unhappy. There were people outside, but none of them was her Cheshire Panda male. She sighed and her lime green eyes scanned the area. No panda. She sighed in disappointment. "Aw....my panda ran away....that won't do," she said. Her shoulders slumped and she became a little depressed. Belinda wanted to enjoy her time with the cheshire cat / panda man. But he is gone. And her time is almost up. Only three minutes left. Belinda moved toward the railing of the cement porch. She leaned against it and looked up at the night sky. Frowning. After a few moments of star gazing, she moved herself away from the railing and began to sing: "I lost the cheshire cat, the cheshire cat, the cheshire cat. I lost the cheshire cat, who is now a panda." She was rather fond of the song "London Bridge is Falling Down," so, she likes to rewrite the lyrics and sing about things occurring in her life. She sighed. "This is so dull without the cheshire cat...or panda," she said, uninterested and bored. And now...time was up. She had failed to capture the cheshire cat and now she was alone. She frowned unhappily. Disappointed that she nearly caught him and he escaped, dressed as a panda rather than his sexy cheshire cat costume.

x xI need serenity In a place where I can hide x x x Niemi gave a hearty bit of laughter at the girl's enthusiastic greeting and offered a nod in response to say that he understood what she meant, and hadn't taken it the wrong way in the first place. She certainly had a charmingly fun personality, and that much was more unmistakable than her short stature, which she often made mention of as he had learned from their later meeting and now this new one.
"Nah." he assured her with a smile, disagreeing with the assumption on how he recognized her. "Your voice, recognized it the moment I heard it." he stated proudly, adding in an explanation as to why he would, "I'm a teacher - I have to be good at remembering people." he gave a small laugh. "I don't mind you talking all you like, I don't talk enough and I think that I told you before that I am fine with you talking for the both of us." He reached down and placed a hand on her shoulder reassuringly.
When he was offered a treat from the girl's costume he gave a nod, not opening his mouth to speak as it seemed she wasn't finished. But once she did seem to take a break from her chatting he added in, "Well it's a lovely witch costume, no shame in receiving a gift from your mother." the young girl was certainly talkative, but at least it was easy to trust that if something was on her mind she would have no problems with voicing it. And Niemi saw that as a positive trait, a little honesty was something that everyone could use more often.
At some point shortly after Niemi had finished responding, the quiet of the area around them was broken, by two costumed men taking a dive behind the knocked over snack table. Niemi gave a quick giggle at the sight, before the surrounding crowd was given the signal to hush from a heavily painted male. The 'merman' was happy to oblige, aiding in whatever kind of game it was that they were playing, but apparently surrounding guests weren't as kind - giving away the location of the man to a rather elated young girl. "Aw, poor fellow." commented the seaking as he saw the man's capture. But upon closer inspection, that wasn't the man that had hushed them! This man wasn't even painted like the other. And Niemi's inner child cheered for the cat's escape as he saw a panda fleeing the scene. 'Well good luck to him, whatever game this is.' he laughed at the overall comedy of the girl being tricked and a giant panda escaping her grasp, unsure what to say at this point.
