The doors suddenly opened for Dante, granting him entrance to the palace. A single guard was standing next to the doorway to the right, a giant spear strapped to his back as he held his arm out to the visitor. "If you are here to speak with the King, by all means proceed to the end of the hallway and to the right, his door is open at the moment which means he's accepting visitors. Walk right on in," the guard informed him.

Speed:11 Strength:8 Energy:550 Dante was glad the guard had told him where to go, as he probably would have gotten terribly lost in this labrynth like place. He walked down the hall, contemplating what the king would look like. He took a right, figuring the king would be one of the tall, bearded men with claymores strapped to their backs as he often saw in pictures. As he entered the room however, that isn't what he saw. He saw a young man, probably younger than him. "Excuse me, is the king here?He asked, having no idea who he was talking to was indeed the king of Pronta. I will not bow, I will not break

"I am King Athrun Zala Shimizu, Leader of Yuran. How may I be of service?" Athrun asked as with a sincere smile on his face. He was indeed fairly young to be a King, but then again, Athrun was not an ordinary boy. His father and mother were former Captains of Pronta who had both attained the Sage rank when they were young. Athrun was a prodigy child who although loathed battle was a genious tactician. Next to the previous King, Athrun was probably the most skilled weapon master in all the land.

Speed:11 Strength:8 Energy:550 Dante gave a slight bow, as a reciprocation of respect. Now that he was more comfortable, the slight cockiness in his voice had settled back in. He didn't mean to sound cocky, but most tricksters were that way. "So you're the king of Pronta. Well, Fenrir sent me to fight someone in Pronta. He told me you were an adept, and that I needed to beat somebody in Pronta to become an Adept. There is also something else, but i'll tell you that later. So anyways, what do you say to a fight, me and you?" Dante asked the king, taking a seat. It was still clear however that Dante was somewhat tensedd, this being his first time out of Nocturne. Normally, he would have been cracking a multitude of jokes, but for now his wit evaded him. I will not bow, I will not break

Athrun mused as he stood up from his seat and walked over to the wall on the far right of the room. It was here that his weapons were mounted up, a vast assortment of exotic weapons. It was here that Athrun took Freedom and strapped the snake sword to his right hip. He then took Destiny and placed the Greatsword on his back. Then he took Justice and placed the katana on his left hip. The final weapons he took were two twin kodachis, placing them on his back waist right beneath where Destiny was located. "A fight between you and I would indeed be rather interesting. Because of the deal that I made with Fenrir, I can not deny a challenge. If you please just step outside, we can begin," Athrun stated, wanting to finish this fight rather quickly as he walked past the soldier from Nocturne and exited his office and the building. Now standing in front of the palace, Athrun wondered what sort of skills did this soldier have? How was his speed and strength? Athrun would have to find out the hard way...since the fact that he had grabbed such an assortment of weapons indicate that he was a weapon master. ⊱

Speed:11 Strength:8 Energy:550 Dante followed the young king outside. Hecould tell the boy was a swordmaster, but what of his bloodline? Or any special talents? Dante figured he too, would find out the hard way as he exited the castle. "Just to be clear, this isn't a battle to the death right? I'd hate to kill Pronta's new king." Dante said with a chuckle, his cockiness back. This however, indicated that he was comfortable around the king. If he was uncomfortable, he'd be super polite. I will not bow, I will not break

He would start the battle with them first since he could use the kodachis defensively and offensively. He didn't know just what the Nocturne soldier was capable off, but he'd soon found out using his kodachis. Besides, the kodachis were the only normal weapons currently in his possession. As for his other weapons, each had a special attribute that he would use should the need arise. ⊱

Speed:11 Strength:8 Energy:550 Dante nodded abruptly, understanding what the king was saying. He then reached inside his jacket and produced to handguns from the inside pockets. He favored these because the handles were built specifically for blocking incoming attacks. He decided that if the king didn't start the fight, he would. But he had to see if the king would first. That would help him determine the king's fighting style, and help him end the fight quickly. I will not bow, I will not break

Athrun chuckled as he gripped his kodachis tighter after turning them around and holding them in a defensive form. "Never particularly liked guns...I find that they lack skill, of course that is simply my opinion. So the fact that you wield guns, a gunslinger perhaps?" Athrun asked as he raised his brow. His energy began flowing from his core, reaching down to the soles of his feet as his body leaned to the right. Suddenly, Athrun dissapeared from sight as he activated his technique: Ryusui no Ugoki. Athrun began using fluid motion in his movements, changing speeds continuously as he began encircling his opponent. Countless afterimages of himself began twirling around Dante, all holding their kodachis tightly as they attempted to the fool the young man into thinking there were dozens of Athrun. "I guess I should begin then..." he stated as he continued moving, however Athrun remained in a defensive stance the entire time.
•Ryūsui no Ugoki: (Flowing-Water Movement) B Rank: (Requires Energy) This is a moving technique that makes Kaiten Kenbu the deadly art that it is. By using fluid motion and continuously changing speeds, the user is able to move around fast and silently around his opponent, encircling them with countless afterimages of themselves. It can be very confusing for almost any opponent, for they can't tell which one is real and which one is fake. Not only that, but during this skill, the user is moving constantly in a defensive stance. If the real one is found, the ability to wield the kodachi properly aids the shinobis in defending against oncoming attacks. (Movement Lasts 5 posts before using more energy)

Speed:11 Strength:8 Energy:500 Dante closed his eyes, trying to think of what to do. All of this movement was beginning to make his head hurt. He dashedout of the circle of Athrun's, seeming to teleport. He then smiled and said, "Not a gunslinger, a trickster. And a good one at that." He said with a chuckle, watching Athrun closely, but from a further distance. He hoped Athrun didn't charge him head on, but being a swordmaster he more than likely would.

Though the normal running of the Trickster style is fast enough to leave a trail of whatever color of clothing they have this is an improvement. This actually causes them to move so fast for a moment that they vanish and appear again. This can be combined with attacks, though there is some strange thing you only disappear for a split second the will however see you again once you are about one meter from the target. Sadly attacking using this is not recommended for you get something like tunnel vision and only see the target you are vulnerable to other people besides the target if you try attacking with this, you are also vulnerable to an attack that comes from below you, above you etc. Not even your bloodline can help. At Adept rank you may preform this in the air.

Athrun stated as he continued his movements, never stopping as he continued to create afterimages of himself. It was time to try an attack, see how the Trickster would react. Athrun began moving from left to right, quickly approaching the Trickster as if from all sides. Being a Trickster, Dante had speed much greater than that of Athrun. However, speed wasn't everything. In a battle Athrun believed that skill and technique would far outweigh strength and speed. That is one philosophy that he will impart upon Dante with his blade. Coming from the right, Athrun shifted his stance from a defensive one, to an offensive one. Just when Athrun was going in for the strike, he once again spun to the side, casting an afterimage that would seem to be attacking Dante's side. Instead Athrun was attacking from the left. Athrun swung his right downwards at Dante's arm, then with his left horizontally at Dante's chest. Moving his arm up, Athrun cut through the air upwards with his kodachi to slice up Dante's back, then horizontally with his left to cut at Dante's back again. This was a combination attack that Athrun attempted to strike Dante with, Jissen Kenbu. Of course, none of Athrun's strikes were lethal, they were merely to inflict pain and some amount of damage upon Dante.
•Ryūsui no Ugoki 4/5
•Jissen Kenbu: (Actual-Battle Sword-Dance) B Rank: Combo attack using "Ryūsui no Ugoki" to flow around the enemy, confusing them. The ninja will strike from various points, slashing them with their kodachi. This is a skill that the shinobi uses to toy and inflict more damage and pain on their opponent, for none of the attacks during Jissen Kenbu are lethal. This is the precursor to Kaiten Kenbu.

Speed:11 Strength:8 Energy:500 Dante successfully blocked the first two attacks, but the third came in surprise and sliced up his back. Dante backpedaled immediately, putting some space in between him and Athrun. The cut was aalready healing up due to his regenration capabilities. He then fired off one shot directly into the middle of all of the after images to see how Athrun would react. I will not bow, I will not break

As he moved, Athrun saw his wound beggining to close as his back was now turned away from him and Dante already had his gun held up. The shot exploded out of the barrel of the gun as Athrun used his movements to sway to the right. The bullet grazed the right side of his cheek as blood dripped down and unto the ground. Of course the bullet was able to get him, Dante was in fact faster than he was, but using Ryusui no Ugoki, Athrun's movements were constanly changing, making Athrun unpredictible. "A vampire? No...your energy would be depleted in this light...perhaps you are just like your King..." Athrun surmised as he began exploring the thought that he was in fact battling a lycan. Athrun however had yet to use any of his bloodline abilities...but he would continue using Ryusui no Ugoki to continue exploring on Dante's abilities. When the technique finished, he would then go on an all out assault.

Speed:11 Strength:8 Energy:500 Dante was still standing crouched, his guns held in a defensive stance. He would try and keep Athrun at bay until that skill of his ran out. Then, he could unleash his full potential. But until then, he didn't wish to waste too much ammunition. "Well, if i'm not a vampire then I guess that leaves werewolf eh? And what about you? Have you a bloodline? Or are you just human?" Dante asked. Athrun had given no hint as to what his bloodline was.
((Out of curiousity, is Athrun insane or does he have a double personality?)) I will not bow, I will not break

Athrun continued moving as he shifted his body from left to right. That was when his energy began molding at his core, stretching out throughout his entire body as he began seeping out a strange red glow. Suddenly, a blaze stretched out of his back and began wrapping around him as the temperature near him began to rise. "Since you've confirmed your bloodline, I might as well tell you mine...I am a Phoenix," Athrun told him as he clutched unto his kodachis tightly. His energy began transfering over to them as he waited for Dante's reaction to his bloodline. Of course Dante was smart, he wouldn't attack head on, and neither would Athrun. It was a standstill, neither side willing to budge. No matter, Athrun has learned all he needed to know about Dante now.
