Even with drawbacks its just another way to metagame without being called out on it. :/

I'm not being snippy. Not everyone is Des. I'm sure not. I was just saying. But it doesn't matter.
I need to edit it, as the creator was a Vietnamese guy. Or so I'm told. So his english wasn't super. And neither was his system, which we have improved on. Copies, I do believe start with the skill. But you can only use skills they have, that are 1 rank below you. Therefore, if your a novice, and you touch a novice (Whatever), you can only use E rank moves.
Now, just like elements, you can learn the skills, and use the energy for the same effect. I'm going to make it so the skill is automatic, like the Succubus' skill. Therefore, you'll be able to use the S rank energy (Even though that's a lot) to copy for 40 posts. Why you'd want the stuff for 40 posts beats me.
And yes, after you go so many posts, we'll use 7 for an example, you lose their powers.
Clear Enough? Or did I miss something?
Wood: As I said, I have the same talent, worded differently though. Albeit I like to use mine sparingly (I've only scanned 2 people). Therefore, the comment is unneeded.

@Urban: As I said, worded differently or not its a way to metagame without being called out for it. What you said has no correspondance to my comment. You are simply trying to justify his through your own, however that only makes me doubt yours as well. So I can't understand why you seem to think that the fact that you have the same metagaming ability [Worded differently as you have so fervently said] has any correspondance to the necesity of my comment.

There's no such thing as a 'copycat' in lore and myth, but there are shapeshifters, and the name sounds cooler. anyways, I still need my talent reviewed.

Because Wood. It's unneeded. There's no reason to say anything. And I wouldn't pitch such a b***h if you hadn't worded it the way you did.
Where do you think he got the idea from? He's a copy cat (XD Bloodline) mechanist who was exposed to Xiomar. He's got enough reason to have the skill.

Whether or not he has a reason for it, it shouldn't have been allowed in the first place because, as I said before, it is an excuse to metagame. Its irrelevant where he got the idea from.

My talent, was approved by Both Des (Met) and Fenrir.
Our VC and Cpt. approved of it. And Des has the ability to match mine.
He wipes memories. He, is my equal. He is also a mage. And a King *Dictator Cough cough*.
I don't use it on every person i see. Only the ones my character would suspect of having info. (IE Kings, Queens, Spies, etc)

Yes. I am. I have no issue with challenging my superiors over something I feel is wrong. :/
Then I think that they were wrong in such a decision as well.
Their rank and title mean nothing to me, and is irrelevant to the discussion.
Your reluctance to use it doesn't negate that you do use it and that it is a tool for metagaming.

So lemme guess. You got metagamed and have had some grudge against it since right? Or was it a friend who got metagamed?
I had plans for this abilty, I still do. There are currently 17 uses of this ability.
Such as scanning Tsubasa and threatening her with telling people she's a siren. But she's in pronta. Now I've been in pronta twice now. I was even in the same area with her. I was inches away from her. I could have just reached out and scanned her. But what does a Prideful king want from a little girl? Nothing. And until he suspects her of something, he won't scan her.
That's 1 use. I've had the ability for more days then I have uses.
It's all about trust. Trust, and responsibility. I've yet to go metagaming with this power, thus have earned the right to continue to have it.

You could. Its not mistrust at all. I trust my best friend but that doesn't mean I think all of his decisions are the best.
Nope. I've been metagamed of course, but its never been a huge deal really, and when it is I'll either take it up with a mod, or if I'm a mod myself rectify the problem myself.
I simply dont like it when a mod or anyone in the guild, but especially a mod uses some bullshit way around one of the rules and gets away with it. If they put the rule there they should follow it, end of story.
It is irrelevant how you use it, the act of using it to know things about them that you wouldn't know normally unless they told you, especially since they cant stop you from knowing it, would be metagaming. Now if theres a physical aspect it would be ok, because you could see the physical aspect so it would be something obvious, but thats deeper and does far more.
