Zhen was just finishing pushing in the last overturned chair when an explosion rocked the building and ruined most of the class's cleanup work. The chair she'd been holding onto bucked and she fell over it, landing face first under the desk. Somewhat dazed, she sat up- and noticed the confused and fearful expressions of some of the classmates behind her. Reaching up to the counter, she pulled herself into a kneeling position, peeking over the top of the desk.

Masked men appeared in the doorway- some stalking past them down the hall. They were clearly not instructors, and, judging by the reactions of her classmates, were definitely not supposed to be here. But who were they? Some of them carried weapons with an edge of readiness that made her scalp tingle. The food fight before had been all a jest- she wasn't prepared for the real deal.

She ducked back down, hoping they hadn't seen her, and wiped her sweaty palms on her shirt front. Kotone was already leaping across the room, toward the door, and other students had surged out before the mysterious figures could block it. She hesitated, considering her options. She could make for the door- but she'd have to get through those men first. She wasn't a particularly good fighter- she had strength, but no skill, or finesse. No, the door wasn't an option. Peeping around the side of the desk that was away from the exit, she saw a possible solution: there was a small window next to the cabinets she'd been browsing earlier. If she could get out the window, she might be able to get out of the grounds and call for help.

It was worth a shot. She tried to make eye contact with any of the students nearby, nodding slightly toward the window and waggling her eyebrows. Not exactly subtle, but it would do. As Kotone landed, she made her move, scuttling to that side of the class.

((uh, she wasn't motioning to anyone particular, so if you wanna follow her feel free XD; ))

Suzu covered her ears as the explosion boomed down the hallway. Her eyes widening, what was going on? She headed over to the table where Ishtar had thrown the knife before, putting it in her pant rim, others where already moving. They where not alone. A sense of panic came over her. They ere being attacked. Everyone seemed to be running. She would too, she was not going to die here today, what was happening? Her eyes scanned for something to use, she had a knife but she did not think a cooking knife would be sufficient. Damn it. Damn it!

She shook her head and closed her eyes ducking around the corner to the door. She did not know what the hell she was doing, of cause she did not. Should she hide here? or should she run? should she flee. Should she catch up with the others. Strength was in numbers after all. She swallowed her heart beating in her chest. Closing her eyes and taking in one deep breathe, she rolled forward out of the classroom and then bolted, I mean bolted as fast as her legs could take her. Her eyes closed then sinking behind the next corner she found, her eyes widening as she opened then, no one seemed to be in this corridor for now... then she saw Huang

He had already saved her once today and even though she was not as skilled she hoped he would help her. She whispered over to him. "... what are we going to do... please? I-..." She looked to the floor, standing closer against the wall, it was all so quiet now, she closed her eyes and shook her head, where was everyone? why was no one here to help them? Where was Kotone, she thought they should all be together. It just made sense to her. "... Is there a weaponry at the academy... anything we can use for help? how can we get out....?"

Protecting the Academy was not as easy as Jianyu expected, especially seeing as how the classrooms around him were not as empty as he had thought. There were still several of them filled with students, which was obvious by the fact that they were all now out in the hallways, some yelling, some crying (mostly the females, although there were a few rather upset males), and some who, miraculously, looked rather bored. All of them had apparently heard the explosion (and how could they not have, seeing as it had been so loud it was almost deafening). Jianyu's eyes moved carefully through the throngs of people, and a familiar dark head caught his eye. Narrowing his gaze, Jianyu followed him, when he noticed another familiar face - though the name of this particular young man escaped him - as well as a young girl. Jianyu had almost reached them when he heard the sharp clack of footsteps coming towards him. Instantly, his arm shot out, and wrapping a hand over the dark haired youth's mouth, and he pulled the boy back, hastily backstepping. He dragged him into the shadows of a nearby classroom, then quickly, moving like a snake, Jianyu grabbed the other two, yanking them into the classroom as well. The footsteps grew louder, louder...then continued on past the classroom. Jianyu gave a short sigh, then released the three students he had been following, turning to face the most familiar of them.

"Huang-Fu." he said. "This is not a place where you should be. Where are the rest of the students from your class? Take me to them, please."

Suzu watched on as Huang was stolen and dragged into a near by class room, then she also was taken away. She watched as the door shut, she gulped and rested against a table, closing her eyes, her heart beating in her chest hard. This was her first day and as she predicted it was all going to hell. If her master knew something like this was happening he would blame her! If a comet fell and destroyed the shop in his eyes it was going to be her fault.

She looked at the guy which had rounded them up, she did not know him yet he seemed to know Huang so she was guessing he was on their side. He was too good looking to be a bad guy anyways. She nodded looks like they were talking strategy, since he was not addressing her she remained silent, he seemed to have taken on the role as commander for the time being, he did look by his attire more experienced. Plus he did just save their butts.

"I am Suzu Zuki, I will do anything I am instructed, I am new but I am fast on my feet and will help when I can. I have this... I am not too sure how well armed we are, or if its useless... I just grabbed it when I ran out..."

She stated, it seemed like a good idea to mention, she brought out the cooking knife from her bottoms putting it next to her on the table. She was actually glad she brought it out to let Ishtar borrow it or it would have not been so easy to grab. She felt a little out of place and did not really know what to do, however she was sure the boys would come up with something. She would obey and follow the plan, she just was glad she was not alone...

”Holy sh-” Eiji half muttered out as he was suddenly yanked into a nearby class room. So far this solitary moment, of the unfortunate series of events that already unfolded, probably gave him the most startle as he had not the slightly idea of what just happened, nor was he aware of who pulled him and another student, into the room. How did he even get into this situation?

Prior to his escape into the hall, only to be back into another classroom, Eiji had no intention on staying anywhere near all the mass chaos. After watching Sumu dart out he knew he had to follow in some fashion. As the students inside the classroom, and the ones outside the class room, got into more and more of an uproar and panic it caused general annoyance and thinned out the patience of the masked visitors who were trying to take control of the crowd. Due to the disturbance everywhere it started to create small openings for escapees, some not being as obvious as the others, but tiny cracks in their defenses nonetheless. If timing his reaction to the events correctly Eiji figured he be able to sneak past the brute part undetected. He knew he’d be able to make it out of the room one way or another but he was taking a gamble once out there: he was completely blind to what might have be going on out there. All that could be heard was noise.

He was already stationed out of main view, be that he was along the counters on the wall, so he figured he could make most of the trip undetected. Lucky for him the sound of falling chairs and the general shouting was enough for him to reach the door. He lined himself up against the side of one of the tall cabinets as he waited for the perfect time to slip out. One of the door guards got pulled away to help control one of the more vocal students and Eiji took advantage of the gracious opening. Not long after another guard took the post again.

"Damn cat.. now where did you run off to?!" Eiji questioned to himself in a low tone as he ran down the hall. He could not believe how many lunarians were in the hallway, though it’s to be expected after such an explosion. No one will stay in one place. For a split second he caught out of the corner of his eye a few familiar presences but then they soon vanished.

The sudden tail end of the yank caused Eiji to stumble slightly into a desk, letting out a small grunt; when he pushed himself back up only to be forced down again as a light pressure was forced onto his back: it was Sumu again. Sumu was the last thing Eiji wanted to talk to at the moment but he was quietly content that he was safe. Finally getting to his feet he turned around to see who else got pulled in with him, barely noticing familiar faces in the darkened classroom. ”What the hell?! You don’t just go around yanking people!” Eiji was far from amused.

She observed her surroundings for a few moments from where she was hidden, but still she didn’t know what to make of her observations. Why were these masked individuals in the academy? What was that explosion? What did all this chaos mean? Kotone was puzzled, puzzled, puzzled and wondering what should she be doing.

Right now, she focused on keeping her classmates, Huang-Fu, Yue Lao, and Eiji’s cat within sight. Then, Suzu and Eiji came into the mix. She took steps in the shadows only to adjust her field of vision to keep accommodating all these individuals.

Her gaze swooped toward her three abducted classmates when her peripheral vision took in someone yanking them into a classroom. Did that mean Huang-Fu, Suzu, and Eiji were back to square one?! Or?! Worse?!

Her anger at the war and recklessness just managed to push her through her fears as she hurriedly went into the classroom where her abducted classmates and their abductor entered while avoiding drawing attention to herself from those outside. However, in barely restrained panic, her mind meshed the desire to avoid being cornered by likely threats on the outside with the desire to avoid being cornered by the possible threat in this room. So, by performing the sequence of actions she’d just done, she ended up closing the classroom door behind her right after entering, which despite avoiding being caught outside lead to possibly being cornered in this room.

“Sir Eiji, Suzu, Sir Huang-Fu?” Kotone said into room right after entering in her worry for them. Currently, Kotone was overlooking the fact that this may have gotten her back to square one or worse as well. All her reactions were crafted from a stumbling procession of thoughts in her mind made in urgency. Thus, in her tense state, she was hard pressed to notice all the loopholes in her actions before acting on them.

Huang was certain that he heard the mewing of a cat following him and looked down to see the same famaliar black cat that Zhong held in his hands earlier in class. Gesturing to the cat to come to him, Huang sunk back into the shadows before he heard the loud sound of somebody talking. Lazy Yue from the class had been following the cat loudly, he could hear her from his end of the hallway and attempted to move towards her before yet another figure fell into the shadows with him, this time is was the girl Suzu.

"Be quiet Lady Suzu..." Huang shushed her, the first thing he needed to do was have everybody remain quiet, their talking and any loud noises we're going to draw the nearest enemy to them and that was the last thing Huang needed. In fact, it was the one thing he was trying to avoid. Keeping a finger to his lips, he motioned for Suzu to follow him before he was interrupted again, This time by a vicious yank.

Bracing him for an attack, He saw the one person he least expected to see.

"Jianyu!" Huang breathed out a breath of relief and he studied his master with a grim face, "I shouldn't be in the class either Jianyu, Its being locked down by the masked strangers, though they hadn't hurt the students when i left." Huang turned to see that not only had Suzu been yanked in but the owner of the little cat Eiji was in here as well. Raising an eyebrow at Eiji, he studied him before speaking.

"Next time, He'll just escort you in." Huang replied sarcastically to Eiji, "That's a great way to greet one of the former students and master archer Eiji." Huang puffed his chest as he looked at Jianyu, in truth Jianyu was the only one here with the skill and right command to lead them out of the situation. Though he looked over at Eiji a little concerned, "Your pretty sneaky to get out so soon."

Huang was about to ask Eiji the status of when he had left before the door burst open to reveal Kotone who was whispering for them, pulling her in and closing the door he made quick introductions.

"Jianyu, These are some of the students and classmates, Kotone, Eiji and Suzu." Haung looked at his master before looking at the door. Footsteps could be heard constantly even though just before the hallway had been empty. This worried him.

"We need to do something, Fast." Huang looked to Jianyu for leadership, only right because the man was the more experienced and older of them.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 12, 2010 10:36 pm

”Well excuse me for not being fond of being yanked around.” Eiji huffed as he crossed his arms. ”Hate to break it to you but I’m not here to put on a good impression. Given the current situation we’re currently in I don’t see it as highly necessary.” Eiji snapped back as he turned his head. Getting a better look at the faces in the room after his eye got used to the darkness. Sumu made haste to Eiji's shoulder like always. He did not want to risk being stepped on or tripped over for blending into the darkness of the room with his dark coat. Being at eye level with everyone was the safest place for him at the moment.

Eiji was going to end it, let sleeping dogs lie, but hearing another one of Huang’s remarks Eiji couldn’t let it go unanswered. Whatever the initial intentions were did not matter. He took it as he pleased, and it was hardly with a grain of salt. ”And what , exactly, is that supposed to mean? Were you under the impression that I would not be able to take care of myself?" Eiji replied back as he threw his arms down from the original crossed state. "No way in hell was I planning on staying there any longer then I had to.”"

A light whisper broke the focus of the two. "Hm?" There is was again, Sir Eiji. Immediately being addressed he knew exactly who it was: it was Kotone. She seemed to have successfully escape from the masked men too. Eiji could admit he was genuinely pleased to find out no harm came to her, or anyone for that matter, as of yet. How long it would stay that was was still up in the air. Eiji signaled to Kotone with a wave, indicating where he was located in the room, whether she could have seen it or not was a different story. Either way their party increased by one. Just one more able body to help plan what to do next.

Despite all that, he did agree with Huang in the end. They really did need to think of some sort of plan and the sooner the better.

"Kotone."

Suzu whispered. As she ran over and wrapped her hands around her Panda haired class mate, she was so glad to see her it was unreal. She let her go after a while. Her joy at her arrival obvious.

"We still have two more class mates out there. They started with me today, I do not know if they have moved but they where by the cooking room last time I saw them, heck one of them was indicating the window when I ran. We have to get them. I mean they are new like me and, we guys are not as experienced as you guys and I am worried. Maybe then we can find out what's going on..."

She stated quietly, nodding her head firmly. She wondered if her class mate actually did jump out the window. She walked over to Eiji this time after addressing Jianyu and Huang. Master Archer?... she liked the sound of that! Even though her life was in danger, it did not stop her from admiring the people she was with.

"Eiji, we are seriously out numbered, no one would make it on their own. We know you are a good fighter you kicked a** in that food fight. However for this one we need to pull together and work as a team. I can not wait to see how well you fight in a real battle."

She smiled holding a piece sign to him. Eiji was the one guy she did not have a chance to get a good luck at. All the boys in this place where so handsome, she was in luck! He seemed like he was angry, like he was not going to cooperate. This probably was not true. However she thought she should say something to try and calm him down. She needed to try.

Jianyu turned towards the students, eyeing the redhaired one with a scrutinizing look before his gaze moved over the rest of them. Since darting into this empty classroom, they had now been joined by another girl, this one with long dark hair. She, as well as the other girl that Jianyu had pulled in with him, were both unfamiliar, and Jianyu ran a hand through his hair, absently twisting one of the blue beads braided in. Huang and the redhead were now arguing, and Jianyu reached out, placing a hand on Huang's shoulder.

"Enough." he said, nodding towards the two young men. "We have enough to worry about without having internal conflict as well as external."

There was another loud crash, and the room shook. Footsteps pounded past them, and Jianyu put a finger to his lips, shaking his head just barely to indicate keeping silent. After a few moments, once the hallway was quiet again, Jianyu stepped to the side, his face grim.

"I do not know what these men are here for," Jianyu said. "But we cannot just stay here."

"Huang,"
he said, looking over at the dark haired youth. "You will take this young lady here," - here he nodded towards the black haired girl - "And you will try and make your way to the front of the school. Look for students held hostage, and see where these men are coming from.

"You - "
Jianyu said, his words directed towards the redheaded young man now. "You will go back to the classrooms, and try and figure out a way to free those still in them. Find people who can help you.

"As for you,"
Jianyu turned towards the last girl, the one who had been speaking with the redhead a moment ago. "Your name is Suzu, isn't it?

"You will be coming with me, Suzu."

With a nod towards the others, Jianyu turned back to Huang briefly, his eyes locking with his apprentice's for a moment before he took ahold of the girl's arm and disappeared from the room.

Suzu covered her ears as she heard another loud explosion, her eyes widening. Man this was freaking her out, as soon as Jainyu indicated silence she put her hand over her mouth, she dare not even breathe. She was so nervous. Even though she was expecting a battlefield to be like this she never thought she would be in one so quickly. Before she could even react the Archer started to take charge once more.

Giving them all roles. What where were they going to go? Do not get me wrong she was glad she was going with him, however she at least wanted a clue before she was dragged into the unknown. There is always a bright side and she had found hers. She got to go with the mature looking guy. The one who appeared to be the most professional, she felt a lot better going with him since Juang seemed to look up to him. She did not know what to expect but before she could even think about it her arm was grabbed and she was stolen from the room. She just had time to utter.

"Yes... Suzu."

She did not make a noise, she did not want to mess this up. She did not want to die so she would make sure to follow his orders to a T and do as much as she could to help. She ran as fast as she could to keep up with him as he pulled her along. Her heart starting to race again. HE WAS TOUCHING HER! AHH! However this was not the only reason her heart was pounding... She did not want to admit it but she was so scared. She could not be. She told herself that.

... She had to do this. There was more than her life at stake. A worrier must not be frightened! 'Oh Master give me strength, I will make you proud.' She thought to herself. It was time for her to prove to him... that she was worth all the generosity he had given her. He loved this academy and he sung its praises, she was going to help save it. For him.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 13, 2010 12:49 pm

It happened fast and who had pulled her in certainly had more strength than her. Despite her bracing herself and struggling as much as she could, which admittedly wasn‘t much given the quickness, her resistance and attempt to free herself before being let go of had been futile. The room was darker in comparison to the outside so Kotone’s eyes had yet to adjust for clearer focus during the sudden yank. It didn’t help either that her dodge and block reaction was delayed by the onslaught of sudden self-doubt upon realizing loopholes to and after her executed actions. Again, she realized clearly that she had a long, long way to go as a warrior.

However, when she heard Huang-Fu introduce them to Jianyu and her eyes were then ready and confirmed the individuals in the room, her braced hostility and suspicion upon the pull into the room subsided. A light smile of gladness showed through her tense state at Huang-Fu, Eiji, and Suzu that they were fine.

Her free hand reached out and grabbed a table’s edge to keep herself upright as the room shook after a loud crash. Her eyes shot sternly in the direction of the footsteps’ sounds in concentration and alarm, holding her breath as well but not immediately realizing she was doing so. When she did realize she was holding her breath, she reminded herself to and had herself do so, inwardly telling herself to keep her mind and state sound. Since she’d entered the room, she’d been rendered as quiet as a mouse and was willing herself not to be as scared as one cornered by a cat.

Jianyu. Kotone’s mind registered this as the name of the person who pulled her fellow students into the room. She had arrived after Huang-Fu mentioned Jianyu was an academy graduate and master archer, but that he was more experienced than them and that he was a skilled archer was deduced by Kotone according to how he carried himself and his weapon. Moreover, since Huang-Fu was conversing with this archer with familiarity, then that this Lunarian armed with a bow meant any harm to them was not the case.

She gave a nod of affirmative to understanding Jianyu’s words before he and Suzu set off.

And then, she turned to Eiji and Huang-Fu, sharing her thoughts as she determinedly steadied the rest of her speech after starting off with a stammer, “I-I saw Miss Yue Lao not far from here. Perhaps she would be willing to return to the classrooms with you Sir Eiji and help you with the task Sir Jianyu suggested to you? Shall we split up now or when our paths divide?”

Huang quieted down at Jianyu's words and crossed his arms. A sharp comment on the tongue for Eiji would have to wait, though his feathers we're still ruffled. In truth though he liked Eiji well enough, even respected the other boys personality, sometimes Huang wish he could break the mold of his personality and be a little more forward like the other boy.

Regardless though, this was no time to be admiring, especially if it was another man. Huang turned back to Jianyu and frowned.

"Nothing from the outside?" Huang shook his head, Jianyu hadn't heard of the attack from the outside, which meant he had been in the academy since the attack and even before it began. Shaking his head, he turned to peer at Kotone in the darkness. Could he trust the girl to move with him? He had been teaching her the ways of a ninja almost, well at least with fishing he could count on her quietness and breathing.

"Alright Jianyu..."
Huang came over to Kotone and bumped her, "We have to keep quiet Lady Kotone, remember the fishing? We shall practice those skills here." Huang sighed as he looked at Jianyu for one glance, eyes locked as they passed a mutual look of respect before he was gone with the other new student.

"Eiji..." Huang turned to look at the redhead before smirking at him, "Try not to get killed...Or get into fights." He looked over at Kotone before back at Eiji, "I don't know the fighting of these men, i don't even know their strength, and if you die because of a stupid fight..." Huang shook his head, not sure why he was so concerned over the other boy, it wasn't his nature. Instead he sighed again and looked at Kotone.

"Come on Kotone." Huang slipped out of the door and stuck close to the shadows, hoping he could figure just how the hell to get to the front of the school when he didn't even know the layout.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 14, 2010 10:16 am

Insecurity had eagerly taken the opportunity to attack Kotone’s mind with another wave of diffidence. This predicament was a first for her, being amidst an infiltration and entrusted with task to attempt, she felt the nagging doubt within her that she didn’t have what it takes to do this. Then, she countered this thought by thinking inwardly what she refused to give up, she didn’t want to give up. She was preoccupied with fighting her internal battle against her uncertainties for a moment. And so, when Huang-Fu bumped her she jumped a bit as both her hand grabbed her staff to her chest as though having prevented her heart from leaving her. But right after this she transitioned directly into standing at alert attention with hands, one with her weapon, at her side. She gave a determined nod of affirmative after hearing Huang-Fu’s words, that she understood.

When Huang-Fu spoke to Eiji, she carefully listened so as to learn from the words of advice as well.

"Come on Kotone."

“Okay, Huang-Fu,” she replied readily not having realized that she followed him in dropping the Lady and Sir as she was focusing on pushing past her worries to do her best.

She addressed Eiji next in her current mental state. “Take care, Eiji,” she gave a positive toothy smile as she said these words firmly and optimistically to him, insisting in her mind that he will be alright, that they all will be alright.

Then she had slipped out of the room with Huang-Fu as well and entered the shadows. She kept in mind her aim to keep up with him and perform the teachings he imparted to her.

“Haa wouldn’t I like to see me fight in a real battle too.” Eiji laughed and spoke low as he looked up and away from everyone. He didn’t doubt his own abilities, not in the slightest, but he wasn’t a complete dolt, for one he had no idea what these guys were capable of and guessed he could be killed with not much effort. Damn... he thought to himself.

Eiji rabidly turned his head in the direction of another large crash. What on earth was going on that made the destruction of the academy necessary? He quickly grew annoyed with all the explosions as did Sumu, who let out an agitated meow.

It didn’t take long before tasks were given out and Eiji didn’t know whether to laugh at the irony or sob. His goal was to get away from the room not go back towards it. He let out a sigh and sunk his shoulders, choosing not to comment back. He’ll just have to prove what he’s capable of. He had to psyche himself back up to return to the room; it shouldn’t be that bad after all... hopefully... He had to go with a strategic mindset, something he really had no need to do in quite some time. He replied only with silence to the task he was given but turned to Kotone when spoken too. ”Hm? Oh.. maybe...” Scratching the back of his head he sighed. ”I guess I should see if she’s still alive first before asking her. Crossing one arm he rose the other to his chin, lightly wrapping his hand around both chin and mouth. Also I’d have to find a safe spot for her to be if she decides to not come with me.... Or I could just drag her along... Eiji was beginning to see how annoying this challenge could become as he took his hand, once covering his face, and brushed it through his hair.

Eiji folded his arms and turned his head away in thought again, only to turn back after being addressed by Huang. ”What?! Do you not- J-just get out of here already! And I’m not going to get myself killed, so you needn’t worry.” He reassured as Huang and Kotone started to leave, flashing her another reserve victory sign in hopes to reassure her that he’ll be ok. He was to stubborn to let himself get killed by lunarians he didn’t know anything about.. or at least he’d try not to get killed. ”Though I can’t promise you I wont fight back if I have too.” he lastly muttered before taking his own leave.

The room was much darker then outside in the hall and his eye needed to yet again get readjusted. ”So.....” he started as he looked around the hall. He had to find Yue first, she shouldn’t have been very far from here if they all ran in this direction. He ran off into the direction he believe she could have went, hoping she didn’t get too far. ”You better not be a pain to find.. I got other things I gotta do... he said to himself.
