"....And how old do you think I am? Or need I remind our kids i'm still youthful!" Koyuki laughed, hell, even Jerome was youthful, or enhanced to be such. Last thing she ever wanted to hear for many a years was that she was old. It wasn't like she doubted their kids were 'active' ......well, at least she hoped not for Bryyo's sake.
"Well love, as much as I love walking in this thick Kimono long distances; I can tell you it will not be coming with us hiking for that specific reason!" She smiled, luckily she had found someone who had made her a similar styled Uwagi for her. None the less she was thankful and slid onto his back; nestling down as she usually did so it wasn't like she was riding a horse....even though it kinda was!

"I wasn't calling you old...but you should know how kids get about knowing their parents are still....doing things." he said with a smug expression.
"Well good then! Your chariot awaits." he said as he beamed and waited for her to slide on. Soon enough she did and he took of down the path at a brisk trot, which was the equivalent of a normal foxes running speed. "Who are we going to see first? Nariko or Bryyo?" he asked as he was already half way down the hill

"Not you dear, the kids thinking I'm old. If you thought it I'd have to try and punch you....I'd break my paw but at least it would be on your conscious!" With a merry laugh she tried her best to lean forward and and kiss the back of his neck. "Besides, I'm not stopping for them even if they asked." She spoke softly in his ear before sitting back up.
"Nariko would be best, her training grounds are located closer than the shop is. Its along the same path as it is to our special spot, however at that large rock on our path you make a left and it leads to this forested hill. That's where she's set up her little place." Koyuki explained before looking off to the side, watching the surroundings head past as she always enjoyed her rides with him...knowing she'd never be able to accomplish these speeds on her own.

"Such details. You gotta give a guy a hint sometimes" he smirked, still trotting peacefully, trying not to laugh to hard at her following comment.
He listened to her directions, unknowingly picking up the pace to more of a run now. "Look for a large rock, got it" he said as his gazed focused on the path ahead, scanning for the rock, he soon found it and made a hard left, slowing his pace down substantially to a brisk walk. He waited for his mate's signal to stop, but continued at his pace otherwise

"A hint?" Koyuki seemed momentarily confused, why did the other females she spoke to said to be plainly blunt and obvious since they did not get hints. Seeming to try and decide the best form of action; she wrote it off as a cultural thing. "Sometimes, I think I need the hint." She mused, holding tight as he suddenly veered off.
"Yes! Just a little ways ahead...." She looked around, not spotting Nariko until they broke through the foliage and into the clearing where the lone tree stood and their daughter throwing punches and kicks which would knock out cold normal foxes on the punching bag.
"There she is." Koyuki smiled and patted her mate's shoulder, slipping off once he slowed and dropped to the ground standing.

He chuckled, feeling he couldn't comment further on that, and even if he could, it would probably get him smacked. Something he didn't want to do.
He walked a bit further and heard the sounds of punches landing on a rubber like material and the occasional shout. As he broke through the foliage, he hunkered down to let Koyuki down put a smile on his face. "Hey Nariko! Long time no see!" he said, feeling a bit out of place with his comment

Nariko's ears perked as she threw a final punch and caught the bag as it swung back from the force; turning her head to the side as for a moment in time she almost feared it was Dutch again. However she was in shock when she spotted the familiar figures of her mother and father. "....Dad?" She breathed before breaking out in a huge grin. "Dad! You're back!!"
Wasting no time she sprinted across the clearing, launching herself at her father and hugging him tight; pleased she had caught up nicely with her height in comparison...although still no match for the tall spartan. "Holy! When did you get back? Anything new from across the lands?" Not missing a beat she glanced to her mom and nodded; glad to see such a bright smile on her face for once. It made her feel reassured that she would be okay.
Koyuki however, could only smile; knowing it almost meant as much to Nariko to see Jerome again like it did to her. Standing in silence to let her daughter catch up.

Soon finding he was being launched at, he stood to his height to catch her, but still tumbled back "Yeesh kid! what have you been eating? You sprouted like a weed!" he said laughing a bit and returning the hug, completely shocked that he was looking at his daughter. "Seriously..have you been eating ODST's for breakfast?" he smirked as he rolled up to his haunches.
"Well..the lands..uh..Nothing. Strange anomolies indicating hostile alien activity, but that's about it, Nari." he said as he tapped his chin but then kissed his daughter's forehead, happy to see she was still doing well.
"Nariko, Koyuki and I have something to tell you." he said as he looked over to the silent Koyuki, seeing if she wanted to tell the spartan child of their journeys or if he should

"Too much, Dad....but it never seems to last me more than a workout since I'm starving right after!" She grinned, placing her paws on her hips and she was sure that smile stretched ear to hear in pride. She was so thankful he seemed proud and happy with her progress; it meant it was all worth it. However, her face turned scarlet as he mentioned something; whipping her head to Koyuki who covered her mouth with an impish giggle. "MOTHER!" She hissed, bringing a paw to her face. "Uhm yeah, so not heading there..." She coughed, but seemed to perk back up.
"Aliens? Strange, I assume she told you of those grunts then since she can't not tell you anything..." She shook her head, unable to be angry at her mother. "Makes you wonder huh."
Raising a brow, she looked between the pair curiously, then she suddenly took a step back. "Please, please don't tell me that Bryyo has knocked some poor vixen up....I'll kill him I swear it!" Last thing she needed was spawn of his she'd be forced to call neices and nephews.
Koyuki let out a small sputter, lacing her paw with that of Jerome's. "No dear, at least I hope not as well....but well; I'll let your father explain." She smiled, giving a light nod to her mate's silent inquiry.

"Oooooh...Well then I guess I won't touch on the subject of a guy getting your fur in a bunch" he smirked trying to direct the little spark of fire away from his mate.
"Grunts huh.. Odd...I guess there's more going on than we know about" he said with a look that can only be described as odd. But it soon vanished and was replaced with a small fit of laughter. "No...your brother has done nothing...at least to our knowledge" he looked over at Koyuki wondering if she really did know what Bryyo was up to.
"Ah..well We are going to be traveling together now, so you might not see much of your mother as you used to" he explained, as he moved towards his mate

"Mmmm, Yes....last thing I want to dwell on is him, I assure you dad." Nariko sighed, secretly wondering if he did know anything useful about ODST's but didn't have the time to think about asking when the topic of their journey came up. Looking dumbfounded, she glanced to Koyuki to see the serious look on her face. "But.....Mom....." Nariko began, only to stop when Koyuki put up a paw to interrupt.
"Don't worry, Nariko...I know." Oh, was she aware of her limitations when it came to the dangers of the world. Shooting Jerome a quick pleading look not to elaborate, she turned to explain. "We have acquired some magical armor, which will keep me safe along with your father's watchful eye. I will be fine..."
Seemingly still disturbed, Nariko didn't do well hiding something bothering her as she attempted to put on a smile; which had Koyuki fooled when she pulled her mother into a gentle hug. "I'm glad then, Mom. I know you more than anyone will really benefit from this; don't worry...I'll make sure the house doesn't fall apart when you're gone." Koyuki could only beam, so proud of her daughter as she hugged her back. "Arigatou, Nariko. I know you will be fine."
"Thanks, Mom.....but er....Mind if I steal Dad for a moment?" She asked and luckily Koyuki, despite a little confused, nodded and took the hint to walk over to the tree where her daughter trained to look around a bit. Once out of ear shot, Nariko turned to Jerome with a worried look. "Are you sure this is wise, Dad? Can't you just stay here?"

Pleased that things were going so well with the news, he only sat there smiling with pride. Even when he was told to elaborate, he felt no need to. Nariko didn't need to know how they got the armor...at least unless the circumstances turned or she were to ask.
"Steal me away?" he looked to Koyuki who seemed alright by it, then stood and walked over, a tad surprised at the question he was asked once out of ear shot.
"You know I have a free spirit. That's how Spartans work. Staying in one place is hard, and it's even harder for your mother when I'm away for so long." he said exchanging the concerned look with his daughter. Was she really afraid of him leaving so much? He had no idea

Nariko knew of her father's unbounded soul, as free as the wind which tousled her fur gently with such a warm summer's scent. It was what made him, and she could only imagine what made her mother fall for him amongst other desirable traits. However this didn't see to satisfy the vixen as her brows remained furrowed in concern.
"It's just...." She trailed off, glancing to her mother who was throwing silly little punches at the bag to try it out. "Something up, Dad. I didn't notice it when I was a kit, but she's been having terrible night terrors. She seems fine when you're about....but when you're gone on your trips; its scary." She rubbed her arm, knowing it was definitely something if she was afraid of it. "She wont tell me what it was, or doesn't remember.....but I've never heard such screams or such gut wrenching shaking from her. I dunno, maybe the folklore of our culture is getting to me from those texts....but it just seems like one hellavu ominous sign to me."
"Its getting harder and harder to leave, because what if I'm not there to wake her up?" Sighing, she tossed her father a look. "I guess...all i'm saying is watch for things, maybe if we can figure it out she'll have peaceful sleeps again...." Nariko hoped that her father could handle anything, because if he couldn't....well, there was really no hope in hell in her mind.

Looking over to his mate not really believing that she of all creatures could be troubled by something so deep and complex as night terrors. Was she already feeling the evil of the knight before she had even known of him or was there something else. He was bound to find out in their travels. He would make sure of it. "I'll watch her carefully. She may just need to get out and around. I know doing nothing for several weeks on end can play with you, but we will see." he said, his tone slightly grim
But a smile returned to his face as he reached over and patted his beautiful daughter's shoulder. "Don't worry. It will work out. And so will your ODST problems" he said with a huge devious grin, knowing that she would either tell him something, ask further, or get pissed...

"I hope that's all it is..." If she could have brunted the burden herself she would have invited it with open arms; but alas it was an impossible feat. Koyuki was just such a fragile soul, and to think that something so bad was causing her such distress when she was sure she had no enemies aside from maybe Trovalius....yet he had been gone for weeks.
However, she seemed to bristle at her father's words, snapping her head up to him. "Daddy!" She sighed out loudly, feeling a grimace on her face....before a more defeated sigh rose. "I doubt it, Dad. We're the same but so different....all we do is clash and whatever I try to do to help ends up blowing up in my face." Sadly, she could only remember a moment or two when they weren't fighting or bickering. Rubbing the back of her head in a mirrored image of Jerome's habit, her eyes fell to the ground. "He's married anyways I think; I have no business with that other than a professional one."
