"I'm glad to hear that..." She breathed with a smile on her face as she cut off her humming. "I forgot just how out of shape I am....comes with a desk job though I suppose." Gently chuckling, she knew most of the exercise she got was heading to and from the shop; and evading a crazed shadow demon the majority of the time. "You don't have to keep my pace...I can try harder to keep up?"
After all, he had just made everyone pick up the pace and now she was slowing it all back down...minus the Cybertronians. "I hope so too....it makes me sad that lives already had to be lost; I just hope there doesn't have to be more." She dare not ask about the bodies, fearing they could have been a family out at the beach; or even kits. It was something she wasn't sure she could take hearing. Looking down as her expression faltered to a serious one, she began to doubt her ability to push back that fear that was already welling inside. She really wanted to come....yet one never really knew the severity of anything till they got closer and deeper into the situation. "I hope not..." She finally answered, offering a half smile. "Was a scout out there then, to get news back so fast?"

He looked to her and smiled putting his paws in his pockets. "It's not trouble to me, I don't mind walking this slow" he said as he looked up to the sky and noted how cloudy it was. A perfect day in his opinion. "Well It doesn't take much. Although with all the walking you do, I don't see why you should be worried" he said trying to reassure her that she was perfectly fine..at least in his eyes.
"It is tragic." he said looking ahead and seeing the cybertroninans level out on an easier track of land. They were getting close to the peak of the pass, which would soon mean the ocean would be in sight. " We have been fortunate enough to find someone who's not afraid of being in the area. We are not sure how he escapes whatever is killing, but he is the one who has been bringing us the information" he nodded. Thank goodness there were still plenty of others out there who wanted to help. Otherwise this mystery would never be solved

"Because I always worry Banes....doesn't matter if I'm scaling a mountain trail or painting a bowl!" She couldn't help but chuckle sheepishly, she'd been warned by her mother she'd get wrinkles early from fretting....well even if she did now it was covered in fur. "There isn't much of an incline between the house and the shop though; I'm fantastic with flat lands....yet I've never been one for hills unless its a leisurely hike." She admitted.
Perking her ears at the mention of someone fearless, the vixen blinked and tilted her head. "Seriously? Goodness, talk about nerves of steel." She couldn't imagine the fox which had no fear when it came to a creature like that, it almost made he wonder if this scout was just as scary.

He chuckled a bit at her comment. "Well everyone worries" he admitted. He was very prone to worrying about everything. If it existed, he was bound to worry about it at some point or another, but he was used to the self afflicted stress..and prepared for those gray hairs. "Well hey, then this is good exercise for you then!" he mused as he slowed down the pace a bit. She could make it, but that last 20 feet was always a killer.
"Well oddly enough..he really does have nerves of steel. He's a robotic fox. Quite a nice one too, but quite a sad guy." he nodded remembering the small white fox well. "I don't know if we will see him around. He's big into drifting" he chuckled wishing he could walk like that

"I would hope so! Yet I worry a lot, like, very unnecessarily. Although its become a little more acceptable here with what's about as well but still...." The vixen looked up, catching the sight of the two robotic foxes leveling out gave her hope. "Is that the top!" She beamed, springing to life as she actually picked up the pace no matter how much her legs were going to hate on her in the morning. "C'mon Banes!" She called happily, excited to see the ocean but at the same time wanted to watch what he said.
"Another....robot? Is he like these Autobots and...such?" It was a relief to hear this one was nice, albeit lonely. "That's too bad...no one should be completely alone!"

He was going to respond to her comment, but soon she had picked up the pace and bolted to the top of the trail, leaving him behind, but not for long. He put his hands on the straps of his back and started running uphill as well, soon catching up and soon hitting the leveled out area, already noticing the vacant and dismal looking beach. "Well..here we are" he stated, trying not to sound too grim about it. As they walked further, more of the beach began to unveil itself. Where people were, only empty foot prints remained. Near the slippery rocks, caution tape could be seen waving in the faint breeze. "It's not much...but that's because no one comes here anymore." he said as he started down the much shorter hill to the beach.
"I don't think he's like these guys. He calls himself a 'Medabot'........whatever the crap that is" he called back pausing a moment, waiting for her to catch up with him

Reaching the top was a small victory for the vixen as she barely had time to look out to the scene as she bent over and rubbed her thighs. Ahhhh, burning! She thought, hopefully being here would mean no more mountain climbing till the trip back since she was sure she'd be limping tomorrow. Standing straight she looked up, although the state of the beach was abysmal at best....she still managed to see beyond it all.
"Wow....look at that!" Kay exclaimed and took a few moments to take it in, that glimmering sea out in the distance, the soft looking sand that if it wasn't a crime scene would have been filled with happy foxes. A warm smile trailed on her lips at her own fond memories of the beach....but seemed to blush when she saw in her mind's eye their day at the lakeside yesterday. Shaking her head to quickly get rid of that image, quickly striding to catch up as he was waiting. "Medabot huh? Never heard of them." She said a little too quickly, her tail giving a flick as she adjusted to the downhill now.

He waited for her to catch up, before starting to walk down hill once more. "Yes...I don't think anyone has really. I guess they are like robot friends that can fight too." he shrugged, not really noticing her lack of hesitancy to answer. He felt his feet hit sand and as soon as they did he veered right, heading into a small forested area.
"In the middle is the cabin. It's fairly cosey, so it should feel like home" he said as he pointed through the treeline. He didn't know if she would actually think it felt like home or not, but he liked it. "No one else should be there right now, so we have the place to ourselves" he chuckled. He wasn't implying anything, he was merely saying that just in case she was nervous about meeting new people

"Strange...." She chimed in, tapping her chin with her finger. "...what happened to the day when people just broke out their fists and threw punches?" Kay wondered, but hey, new age and new times right? When her paws touched the beach she couldn't help that blissful little grin to touch her lips, what she wouldn't give to just lay out in the sand with a warm sun. However it was neither sunny or safe, so she dismissed it and looked over to Banes and followed quickly.
"Cabin!" Oh how her eyes just lit up as she looked eagerly to where he pointed. "My grandpa had a cabin out in the woods; it was really tiny though, like a room with the stove, table, and two bunks." Although she was well aware it wasn't even in the same context, it still was an exciting thought. "Is it bigger than that?" She asked, before chuckling as she didn't catch on to any (even unimplied) meanings. "I wouldn't blame them, it isn't much of a hot spot right now."

"Well he's from the 22nd Century...and the robots were meant for kids of all things...I know..crazy right?" he chuckled as he ducked under a branch and felt soft grass underneath his boots now. He took only a few paces forward, and already he could see the large wooden cabin waiting for them. Barricade and Frenzy had already unloaded the items and were now heading back. "Thanks 'cade" he said knowing full well the cybertronian could care less.
"Well see for yourself" he said as he pointed to the large wooden structure. It was basically a large house lifted up slightly from the ground by strong wooden beams. "It has 2 bedrooms, a huge living room, kitchen and just about anything else we could need." he said as he stood to marvel at it. But he could tell they weren't alone. The normally dark cabin had a small light on the inside. "Hmm..the fireplace is going..maybe someone is inside" he said as he moved to the house, a little quicker in pace now

"Kids? Jeeze....I'm not sure I would have let any of my kids play with robots! I'd want one..." The vixen smirked, if it could have helped with housework and general duties she would have been set for life! Stopping for a moment as the large cybertronians walked by, they were soon out of distance before she could say anything; shrugging and catching back up to Banes.
"Wow!" She exclaimed in shock, blinking at the large cabin. "I almost wouldn't call it a cabin!" Although it didn't quite share the charm of what she was used to, she wasn't going to complain on a but of luxury! However, she too ended up catching the light in the darkness. "I thought you said no one would be here?" She asked sincerely, following quickly behind him as he headed swiftly to the cabin.

"Who says you couldn't have one" he smirked looking over his shoulder with a nerd grin. "Hell..when I found out about them, I wanted one too" he chuckled lightly. Being a nerd was such a wonderful thing sometimes
But that light-hearted moment had to fade away. He hunkered down, and motioned for Kay to stay put for a moment before slinking over to the window, looking in only enough to see who's in there. As soon as he saw, he let out a chuckle and his stance loosened. He walked back over to Kay. "It's just that Medabot I told you about" he whispered as he gesture for her to walk up the few stone stairs that lead to the front door. "He's a sleep so we should try to be quiet" he whispered again as he quietly opened the door, seeing the curled up sleeping robot

"....No one I guess!" She laughed quietly, although she was sure she wanted one for different reasons than he or probably what they were made for if geared to kids but bah; they wouldn't be around in their lifetime so she dropped it for the time being.
Getting serious for a moment she crouched down and nodded her head as she stayed put out of sight. Watching for any signals she raised a brow when he laughed and stood, tilting her head until he revealed what he saw. "No way!" She whispered out and stood, bounding elegantly and quietly till she too could go and peek in the window to let out a little squeak. "No wonder they're for kits, he's kinda cute!" She chuckled quietly, nodding her head again and made her way back to him and through the door; standing to the side quietly so she wouldn't wake him as she waited to see what was Bane's plan for the time being.

He nodded and chuckled. He wasn't sure what she would want with one but it was something to be ambitious towards
He walked in carefully trying not to make a sound. There was a different reason why he didn't want to wake the robot and that reason was lightning fast reflexes and a sharp sword that was hidden. He cautiously walked around the smaller fox praying that he wouldn't step on a squeaky board or anything.

Taking in the cabin as much as she could she had to admit it was pretty nice looking from what she could see thus way; having a fireplace would have been really nice in the winter she was sure....but who knew, maybe it got cold down at the sea at night? Following closely behind her companion as she adjusted her weight onto the toes of her paws she crept behind him silently. Poor thing must have been so tired to fall asleep on the floor.
Reaching out to touch his shoulder with her paw, she reached out to point to both rooms with a shrug of her shoulder...wondering which one they were going to, as well as which one was hers.
