((Eh, maybe it is better to wait on Dragon and Strider. BTW, what's everyone's opinion on the vampire rules I wrote?))

((Aw, thankies. It's actually a variant of the German name Teresa, so that's why it's probably not heard very often down here. I'm at school. =3 Yes, Neo, we do indeed make you feel loved. =D ))

Nicole heard the walkie talkie go off in her pocket and took it out. "Not really..." She and Ellie were starting to walk in the parking lot of the abandoned Walmart. Cars stood in the parking spaces like shells of what they used to be. "We passed a gas station, if gas is needed. Now we're moving towards the store. Any miscellaneous thing you might need there?"

((Interesting. So, are you of German lineage?))
"Not that I can think of...wait, I do have one thing. At some Wal-Marts, they have gokarts and dirtbikes out front. If you would, could you get a few of those loose? When we get all the other supplies loaded, I'd like to have a few of them on the train, for scouting purposes."

((Half German, half Italian, if I'm not wrong. We haven't gotten far, hopefully Dragon and Strider can catch up though. Well, I'ma start a sequence in Walmart soon. =D And as for the vampire rules, I guess they're fine. I don't RP as vampires, really.))

"Um..." Nicole tried standing on her toes to see if there were some dirtbikes, or gocarts. "I can see if they have 'em. If they don't, we could always use normal bikes."
PostPosted: Thu Mar 25, 2010 11:41 am

((Oh, cool. My family's Welsh, I think. My younger brother's gf was born in good ol' Deutschland. Her first words were German. lol Yeah, I wasn't planning on including vampires at first, but Dragon shot me an email asking if I could. So I made them infected humans, rather than supernatural creatues of the night. As much as I love a good vampire story, I usually don't like when sci-fi and fantasy meet.))"I suppose we could, but dirtbikes will be lighter, and easier to replace if there's an engine problem. It was just a thought, really. Well, do what you gotta do. We'll be close by if you need us. We're gonna move towards Wal-Mart, in case there's infected shoppers wandering around. We swept up the parking lot earlier, but we never went inside. But, we'll see you there, over."

((My name's Quinton btw.))

Daniel stared out the window of the barracks he used for a base in Fort Gillam, Atlanta, his PSG-1 sniper rifle at the ready, FA-MAS on his back, and other weapons in their sheath/holster. He saw one zombie wandering aimlessly, ans when it turned towars him, he saw the tags on the uniform: Rico Gwin, Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Air Force. What he was doing so far from Lackland A.F.B. in San Antonio, he didn't know, but Daniel was ready to shoot his old squadron commander, or as it was, his living corpse. He pulled the rifle in quietly, picked up his last incindiary grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it. It expolded on impact, right on top of the zombie's head. "My apologies." He packed up his equipment, checked the clip of his Desert Eagle, and his sakabatou's blade, and headed out, throwing his food into the back of the Ford Ranger, and headed into downtown atlanta, hoping to find other survivors.

Ellie just walked silently beside Nicole, not saying much, for she had nothing to say. They reached the nearest Wal-Mart after a few minutes and she, too, noticed the parked cars scattered around the parking lot. What a shame for so many people to have turned while they were going about their daily lives. She was about to go in to help look for those dirt-bikes and go-carts when a smell entered her nose. Turning towards the smell, she took in a long, deep breath through her nose. Another human. Excellent. Yet another survivor to join their merry band. Snatching the radio from Nicole's hand, she clicked the button and spoke into it. "Attention Assault Squadron, this is Cromwell. I just picked up the scent of a human; still alive and well-armed. Requesting to find them and bring them with us."

((to Ky; you missed us. We're in Augusta now. So, I'm just going to say that your in the city we're in. Hope you don't mind.))

"On it. We're almost there," Tyler let go of the button and checked the heavy gun he carried. Still half a belt left. He clicked on the safety and motioned for the others to follow.
After a few minutes' walk, Tyler caught sight of the girls. A run-down Ford Ranger was also driving along the abandoned highways. A man stepped out, looking like he was fresh out of basic training. As the man drew closer, Tyler clicked off the safety on his SAW, unsure if the new survivor would see him as an ally. "Where'd you get the HK weaponry, comrade? We shoot American, 'round here."

"Another person eh? And in a Ford, he has good taste in vehicles. Tyler, think we could hook up a rail car to carry that? It'd make scouting so much faster and safer." James was walking backwards, absentmindedly whistling. "You know, if we could get a dune buggy, that'd be fun, what do you say, think we could hook up a carrier for a couple cars to use?"

"It'd be too tough to load and unload. And there are a lot of places that a prerunner truck can't go. That's why I was thinking motorcycles. Plus, what happens if the truck breaks? We can't possibly load enough parts and tools to fix it. Best to leave it here."
PostPosted: Thu Mar 25, 2010 11:56 pm

"I have never ridden a motorcycle. I'd rather have a dune buggy." James said in an unusually monotone voice. "Besides, if we get one of those double decker car haulers, we can store two cars on the bottom, which leaves room for tools, and if one car breaks, salvage from other cars. No one said we can't cannibalize other cars." He chuckled, just realizing his own stupid joke.

Ellie raised an eyebrow at Tyler and James as they went back and forth with what vehicles to take with them. "Why are we arguing over something that, in my opinion, is completely irrelevant? It's kind of stupid."

((Ky, you joined the zombie fun!))

Nicole shrugged as if to say that she could care less, which she did. "Vehicles are vehicles. I don't see what the fuss is about. You'd have to gas them up pretty often, depending on what the gas mileage is, though." She went over to the front of the store, walking back and forth along the wall. "Plus, I never drove a car before, or gotten my learner's permit or driver's license. But, we're in luck!" She rushed over eagerly to a go-kart, inspecting it and tapping the heavy chain that attached it to a peg with her foot. "I know how to drive one of these things!" Leaning over the side into the seat, she checked if there was any keys for it. Predictably, there was not. "Darn..." She sighed dejectedly.

"Ok, yes. This is a stupid argument, but we're not taking any cars or trucks, it's too much extra work right now. Make yourself useful: go shoot something." Tyler was tired of arguing. Populated areas made him nervous, due to the high likelyhood of running into hordes of shuffling undead. "It's not really important to have a vehicle on the train at this point. Right now we need supplies. We can't drive if we're dead. Once we're stocked up, then we can see how hard it'll be to load up a car or a truck." Tyler held a hand to his brow to block the glare of the sun. "Everyone ready to go inside?"
