Tristan couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction to Atlas leaving them with all the work. Somehow it was rather adorable. The smirk faded from his lips as she spoke, nodding once before taking the two files she didn't. Since he had only arrived the year before, he didn't know any of the people in the files. He opened up the two files to find a girl and boy.
The womans face he recognized immediately and lowered his gaze, hiding his reaction as best he could. She looked like his mother but different, taking a look at the last name. Sisters... Why didn't she tell me? What happened to her? They looked so similar... Beautiful, kind, warm.... He forced down everything and instead appeared calm as he looked over her file. He did not want Elly to know. She was an empath and could bend the earth a little. She was of mixed heritage and was a seemingly good student. She didn't seem like the type to do anything. But she could use her empathic abilities to control someone else... Looking up when Elly told him about the brothers, he nodded once and told her what he found on his aunt before moving onto the man.
The man was a telekinetic and seemed to have a mixed record. To Tristan it seemed like he was a good natured guy who just had a tendency to get into trouble because of what he felt may be the right thing. Given the amount of situations that involved the woman as well, he assumed the two must have dated at some point. Did he become her husband? He felt the old pangs in his chest whenever he thought of his family, his long bangs falling into his face as his ponytail loosened, covering his eyes. They had darkened, their normal violet warmth dimmed to a deadened grey. "It seems like the three you looked at are the more likely perpetrators." He told her once he was done, taking a few notes himself. Though, he ended up taking an extra slip of paper and carefully slid it into his pocket so he could look over them later. He didn't think that Elly had seen, and he hoped she hadn't. he would rather she not ask questions.

Elly couldn't help but watch Tristan when he wasn't looking at her. There was something, fun about him, something she wasn't used to seeing in certain people. Not to mention he was kind and cute too, but she would never openly admit that to him. She was watching him read the profiles and tell her about them when she noticed that something was wrong. She saw his hair color change a bit and she also sensed that there was darkness emmitting from him. It wasn't the kind that he normally had due to his powers, but she could feel the feelings of darkness through thought, though she did not know of what. Elly also never liked to let people stay sad either, so this was definately something she needed to fix. "Who would have thought it, right? I guess Atlas did do some work, though he didn't tell us that he had picked them. Ah, oh well. I should know better than to think he wouldn't run away..." she said and sighed, shaking her head and leaning against Atlas' desk. She took one of the name plates he had and smiled at it, there being a chip out of the corner due to Elly was she first came to the school and Atlas had asked her to demonstraight her powers and the bullet she formed from light had fired a bit too close to his head. She chuckled a bit and then spun around, her hair whipping at the still air, a glow of happiness on her face. "Shall we get out of this gloomy 'dungeon' and go to dinner?" she asked, using hand gestures for creepy at the word dungeon. Just as she asked to eat, her stomach growled intensely and she blushed, holding and scolding her stomach as though it would reply back.

Tristan smirked, shrugging lightly as he closed the files and straightened up. He stretched out his back, a couple of cracks heard as he twisted. "Well, I would think that he wouldn't leave too much work to his students. Or do you end up having to do a lot for him?" He asked her, glancing to the chipped nameplate with a raised eyebrow. Judging from how she chuckled at it, perhaps it held a memory related to her? He decided not to ask about it though his curiosity almost demanded it. Blinking once as she turned, he laughed lightly at her gestures, ending up laughing a bit harder when her stomach growled. It was so easy for girls to end up acting cute whether they meant to or not. "Sure. Food does sound good right about now. And well, we don't want to end up with the shitty food right?" He winked, opening the door for her and bowing like a butler might. "After you madam." He chuckled with a smirk, raising his violet eyes to her. The darkness was gone from them, banished away so she wouldn't see.

When Tristan's eyes met hers, Elly felt her heart sink a little, the feeling not so familiar, but it had been felt before. She giggled a bit and then walked through the door, waiting for Tristan once he came back out to join her. They went up to the dining hall to see a line of students waiting where you swipe your card to pay for your meals. Many were in big groups and were louder than most of the others, while some were by themselves, not yet having the privilage of making friends on the first day. Elly ended up waving to people she knew and briefly asking them how their summers treated them and answering the same question back. Todays menu was chicken, mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, sandwich stuff like hamburgers and fish patties, fruits and vegetables, salad bar, ice cream and beverage area, as well as desserts and grilled food area. Elly took chicken, mashed potatoes, some pineapple, and some bread and a drink and then made her way to an empty table, one of the only ones by the window. It wasn't quite rush hour yet, which was good until random people came and sat at the table for some of them were rude, but others not.

Tristan followed after, his eyes lingering on the files on the table before the door closed, stuffing his hands in his pocket afterwards. As his fingers ran over the slip of paper in his pocket, his lips tightened a little, his expression relaxing once he caught up to her and walked next to her. He glanced around the cafeteria, noticing the elf boy with Tsuki, inwardly raising an eyebrow. He'd have to keep an eye on that situation. He went off to get food while she spoke with people, allowing her to go off and be social since he really didn't know as many people. He did hear some girls call his name, smirking with a causal wave. Grabbing three plates, he grabbed a salad, mashed potatoes, corn, chicken, two fish patties, and just the hamburger part without the bread. He managed to grab a drink too, spotting the table that she was sitting at already. He organized out his plates as he sat down, glancing out the window. The two girls from earlier were still out there, crouched down over something. He shook his head lightly, turning his gaze to Elly. "It's kind of funny how Ms. Kobiyashi always ends up catching the boys attention. I wonder if he'll have any better luck than the others. Or do you think she'll follow policy per normal?" He asked, deciding not to focus upon the task they had just completed since he would rather not end up dwelling upon the past if he could help it.

"Anything is possible. There is no rules here stating that you and a faculty member cannot have a relationship, but it is what Atlas had told me once, 'It may not be written down on a piece of paper, but there is something called The Book of Morals, which is a book that is unwritten, yet everyone knows the rules'. He then proceeded to tell me that it is up to the people to whether or not they follow this morals book, and to be prepared for the worst in case they choose to opose it. I think that Jareth is stubborn enough to make her his, but it is up to Ms. Kobiyashi to follow the morals or not..." she told Tristan while selectively watching them from their table. She then started laughing and shook her head before eating some chicken and then potatos. "You know... When I was younger and I came to this academy for the first time, I was about 14 and I did not know anyone; I didn't even know Atlas at the time either. The first time I met him I had to demonstrate my powers and thats how the graze came to be in the nameplate. I didn't really like him after that because he looked down at my powers, for they were good, but I needed practice with other things. But he turned out to be helpful towards me that year. I had developed a crush on him after that and would spend a lot of my time trying to help him and be close to him. I remeber making up an excuse for going to his office, only to be scolded by him and start tearing up, which I found out is his weakness. But I had one day confessed to him, saying that i liked him and boy, was I scared. I thought I had done something wrong, but I needed to tell him. Once I did, he told me about the book of morals and how as a headmaster he had to obey them, whether he wanted to of not. Before this could give me any hope, he told me that he loved me like a daughter, and it instantly became awkward. But I learned that it is not impossible to be with someone like that, but you both must learn the position of the other. I sometimes wonder what I ever saw in Atlas back then, though I suppose it was the kindness and acceptance I felt from him" she told him and stared outside, as though watching a memory fly away once and for all.

Blinking, he took another look at the teacher, noticing her one finger was bandaged. Were they training? Snapping out of it, he listened closer to what she was saying, raising an eyebrow. "Oh.... so thats what she means by 'in the rules'... I always thought she meant school policy. She usually tells guys that. Yet she reminds me that there are other teachers who have relations with students. I didn't really get a feel for the guy other than he may be a rival in terms of flirting with the ladies." He smirked, shaking his head with a chuckle. "Nah, I'm just kidding. I have more fun surprising people." He murmured, seeming to just plow through his salad.
He paused and let his eyes rest upon her as she told him her story, now understanding her reaction to the name plate. Though... he didn't expect the part about her crush on Atlas. He didn't admit it, but some subconscious part of his head was thinking of how he compared to the headmaster he barely knew anything about. It was probably better he wasn't conscious about it since he probably would have shown it in some small way. "Hmm... then maybe Jareth has a chance. Personally I'd rather not see the club of those against Ms. Kobiyashi grow. They get so annoying." He watched her stare outside for a moment, turning his gaze to his drink before it got awkward. Swallowing, he sighed lightly, looking at all his food. "Yeah... After I left home and found the gang in that theater... They were the first people outside my parents who were fine with me being what I was. And then Vira came and I wasn't alone anymore. I wasn't the freak child of rejected parents." He murmured quietly, ending up thinking back to then, a brief darkness passing over his eyes before vanishing as he took a bite into one of his fish patties. He banished it away since he really didn't want her to see that side of him if possible.

Following like an obediant puppy he followed her to the window seat, sitting across from her but further away from the window. The light may not hurt him but it didn't feel pleasant against his skin. As he sat he sighed with relief, his injury no longer pained him and it was nice to have something familiar in front of him. Picking off a delicate wing he popped it into his mouth, his sharp teeth crunching as if it were spun sugar. "Shame...students taking advantage of teachers sounds far more entertaining..." he mused thoughtfully, his icy gaze flicking up to her before his attention went back to the food as he added a scarlet grape to his mouthful, the fruit frosting over slightly in his fingers by the time it passed his pale lips. Since he wasn't facing the window he could look at the other students more closely, a satisified smirk spreading across his features as he noticed that several groups of girls were looking in his direction. There were boys too, though some of them had a more heated look in their eyes. 'Probably wish they were sitting here...' he mused, chuckling to himself. It was then his gaze shifted to Elly, his roommate and her friend. He'd not really had a decent conversation with the odd boy but something about the way his eyes lingered on him and Tsuki bothered him. "They speak of us," he muttered to the teacher across from him, his whole body language changing, growing tense as the humour in his eye sharpened into suspicion. He was used to be watched himself, it was to be expected at court; what he didn't like was how they looked at Tsuki.

She did notice how he stayed away from the window, herself not minding since she loved to soak in the sun. She heard his sigh of relief, inwardly smirking since she was glad he had gone to the nurse. Eda didn't lead anyone wrong and she was very warm and welcoming. She could hear her remind her of the moral rules, shaking her head as she chuckled. Though, she raised her eyes once he spoke, taking a sip of her drink which seemed to cause her eye color to shimmer through different shades before refocusing upon a grey-teal. Laughing lightly once she swallowed, part of her hair spilled over her shoulder stubbornly, smirking. "I'm sure you would find that entertaining."
She was enjoying her asiatic foods, ignoring how she knew it was going to change for dinner since they got there so late. Some people emptied out and new ones came in, a constant flow of students moving through. She felt a telepathic brush from one of her students, raising her eyes to find the girls with a soft smile. She responded in the same manner, her expression gentle, holding a brief conversation before she heard Jareth. She bid a farewell to the telepathic girl and looked to where his eyes where, noting how his body language had changed. Finally she found Elly and Tristan, giving them a small wave with a giggle since she couldn't help it. "Of course. I have another boy who wishes for me to break the book or morals rule sitting with me. Relax, they don't speak ill of me. Or of you. Knowing Tristan he's probably debating if he should bet with Elly or Vira on how this will go." She told him softly, reaching a hand over to touch his to calm him. She took another sip of her odd drink, her eye color rippling through again.

Elly took a bite out of her bread and chewed it before smiling at the thought that Tristan was accepted by people. It was always a great feeling to be accepted for who you are. Elly smiled warmly and looked up at Tristan when she spoke, "It's so nice to be accepted by people. I remember something happening to where I needed to be accepted, but it was very hard to do so. You see... it's not something I can easily tell someone, for I never really had anyone to tell... But since I know you and have come to trust you, I feel it's easy to say. When I was 12 I was with my older brother, Bobby, in a field and we were attacked. We were both hit with darkness and I fell unconscious. My brother was of darkness so it had no effect on him. But when I came to, he was dead and I was covered in his blood, even though we weren't near each other. it was prooven that i killed my brother and that a gene of darkness was triggered with the darkness that I was attacked with. Since then I wasn't able to control my darkness ability when it gets crazy, and still to this day it's not fixed. For a year before I came to Estelle, I was in a deep depression. No one could relate to me cause, well, lets face it... I was an odd/dangerous combination. I really felt like killing myself because I took away my brothers promising future. But then I met with Atlas, he being my fathers friend and all. He tried to convince me to go to his school to control my darkness, but I couldn't give him an answer. This was when I did not talk to people, so they weren't sure what i was feeling, other than hurt. It was then that Atlas showed me a warm smile and pat me on the head. He had told me he knew my pain, but in order to explain it, I would have to pay, and he knew I wouldn't, somehow... but anyways, he showed me kindness and I witnessed the fact that no one really knew Atlas, so it was like he was alone in the world, like me. So I decided to join this academy, but to my devistation, nothing has become of it, though I still remain here. There's something about Atlas that makes people feel like they belong, and not just him, but many of the faculty too. It's like they were designed by someone to make life easier... but alas, he is not a robot, he bleeds, hehe" Elly said and smiled again. She seemed more energetic, like a whole load of weight was removed from her shoulders.

Tristan was already moving through his second pattie when he sensed eyes upon them. He noticed Jareth and Tsuki and gave them a salute, chuckling at how stiff Jareth seemed to be. Thankfully this was before Elly began to speak, his eyes meeting hers since what she was saying was rather... important. When a girl said she didn't easily tell people something, you listen and take note of it. Because she's trusting you with that information and not to abuse it. Her? Hard to accept? For a couple of seconds he couldn't believe that, but then he remembered how he was and thus his reaction didn't adjust to one of confusion.
He listened attentively and with his usual neutral, calm expression. He had never had any siblings so he couldn't imagine dealing with that guilt of accidentally taking your brothers life. When she told him of her depression he wasn't surprised and couldn't blame her considering. Survivors guilt was a very potent thing and he knew that best. He felt the familiar pang in his chest, but he refused to allow her to see. Not now. He smirked when she said that Atlas bled, swallowing that last bit of patty before taking a sip of his drink. "Well thats always good to know. If a robot were in charge I'd feel like I'm in an Isaac Asimov book." He tried to joke, glad to see she seemed happier after telling him that. After a moment of him looking out the window, he looked a bit more serious as he turned to look at her once more. "Elly... thank you for telling me that. I'm glad that I'm trustworthy enough in your eyes." He reached out a hand and touched her arm gently, a small smile spreading upon his features and actually stayed there for longer than two seconds. He never really smiled anymore. Not after what had happened.

Elly had waved over at Tsuki and Jareth briefly, forgetting that she had seen them over there. It was fun to know that she wasn't the only one who liked to bask in the sun. When Tristan smiled, Elly felt her face heat up, blushing probably visible. Seeing him smile was really... different. It was like an exspressionless face was his thing, but this wasn't bad either. Elly wished he could smile like that everyday and be happy, despite the past. "I've had times where I told people things and they betrayed my trust, but I can't go on living life as though everyones going to screw me over. Plus, I think I could take them on if they tried to beat me up" she told him and punched int he air playfully and energetically, making her giggle a bit at her silliness.

Tristan saw her blush, moving his hand away with an inward chuckle. His smile just slanted slightly into a smirk before fading away, listening as he took a bite of his potatoes. It was apparently weird to some students to see a wraith eating food and not being able to see it flow through his system since he heard some students whisper. Not that he really cared, it was somewhat amusing considering. He raised an eyebrow at the knowledge that someone had betrayed her trust, the intensity of the glow of his eyes brightening before relaxing back into a simple luminescence. He laughed as she giggled, shaking his head a little. "I'm sure you could. Hell, I'll help you if someone tries to do such a thing again. I'm used to being a bit rough." He winked, thinking of the city he used to live in. "I wasn't always the nicer person I am now. Vira can tell you that." He sighed lightly at the memory, shaking his head once more as he took another bite.

Jareth nodded in reply to Tristan's salute, giving him and Elly a shallow nod and a flirty wink. He seemed about to shout something to them, when he felt Tsuki's hand on his own; warm in comparison without being unpleasant. Turning to look back at her he visibly relaxed, his shoulders dropping and his head bowing forwards in a silent apology. Leaning forward the fae studied her drink curiously, eyes flicking back to her briefly to watch the rippling colours before returning to the liquid. "Tell me," he started, his free hand coming forward to stroke the stem of the glass, "How do you think this will go hmm?" as he spoke the hand which held hers moved, catching her fingers and interlacing them with his own, making it harder for her to pull away. Even as he'd began to speak his playful smile was back, his eyes mirroring this, though their was a cruelness there too now, barely noticable except to these who would really look.

Tsuki chuckled at the wraith boy, glancing back to Jareth when he seemed about to shout something, glad to see him relax. She nodded in acceptance to the silent apology, finishing off the sushi leaving her with two empty dishes. She felt his stare after he examined her drink, her eyes seeming to linger on a light teal color, now with less grey than before. The tips of her hair were darkening as they should be, tilting her head since he started to speak. Her eyes were lowered to the rice, popping some in her mouth as she listened.
She seemed to pause at his question, her gaze shifting to his fingers as they interlaced with her own. She chewed for a moment to roll over her answer in her had, swallowing before taking another sip of her drink. She didn't try to pull away, she simply raised her eyes to his, seeing the clear playfulness in his features. "I don't know how or where this will go. So far I have stuck towards the rules, and I will not deny that there was one who got close before." She held his gaze, catching that glint of cruelty that was there. "I suppose it depends on what you do hm?" She raised an eyebrow with a small smirk, her gaze lowering to her sweet and sour pork, mixing it with the rice more this time before taking a bite. Once she swallowed, her teal eyes did raise to him again, resting her chopsticks down on her plate. "How do you think this will go?"
