((Sorry All, finally have my comp back sweatdrop ))
Fuyu continued to follow Oasis's trail, making sure to stay far enough that he wouldn't collide with her if something was to happen. As he followed her, he noticed something something familiar. It was like they were going in circles for a moment. He pondered on what it was about but desided to let it be for now and just concentrate on Oasis's footsteps. The streets were not completely empty, but not jam packed ether so Isolating Oasis's footsteps would be a easy to medium difficulty if it was normal footsteps. Oasis's footsteps were how ever, louder then most peoples so it was easyier to concentrate on those footsteps and aviod others. After a while, there were two things he noticed right away; A huge crash and thud, and Oasis's footsteps had stopped period. There was one thing he could thing of... WALL!! He jumped quickly and conentrated he chakra to his feet so that he would stick to the wall feet first. His assumtion was fairly right, except it was a gate and not a wall. It was then that Oasis's stated that she had no breaks. Fuyu was going to make a mental note of that for sure. "I guess we made it..." He stated not 100% sure that Hatsuma was here or not. All he knew was that so far from what he knew about her, she was the more serious one around the three of them so it was most likely that she was here.

Glaring blankly into the distance, Sai shifted on the gray stone that he had made into his current seat. His skin was dark from the sun's embrace and sweat glittered upon his furrowed brow. Every so often he brought the back of his hand to wipe away some of the sweat, leaving smudges of dirt in its place. In his other hand the razor, his personal hand gun, hung limp in his grip.
It had been quite a while since he had run into that bumbling idiot. He couldn't specify what exactly pissed him off more... the idiotic attempt to appear more intelligent then he really was and fail miserably. Or the way he assumed things about Sai, but then again it could have been the way he acted naively like a child and quickly tried to befriend him. Maybe it seventeen or so years ago Sai would have jumped at the chance of being friends, entertain the group with playful antics and show off just how capable he was...
But those days were long gone and wouldn't ever come back. Too much had happened for him to act like that anymore, too much had been lost.
Following the sound of a loud and powerful roar in the distance, Sai quickly snapped out of his thoughts. Glancing around with sleepy eyes, he scanned the sky for a long moment before hearing the roar again. With his eyes trained in the direction of the roar, the man quickly spotted out a black dot that stood strangely out amongst the bright blue sky.
"Tch..." Murmuring a few curses under his breath, the man pushed himself up to a stand and stretched his stiff limbs to either side of him. "Always so slow... Why do I even bother?" He spoke quietly to himself as he shook his head and began walking in the direction of the black dot. Another roar soon echoed into the area, the sands seeming to shiver and tremble under its force.
Sighing softly, Sai raised his hand to the front of him and preformed a quick set of hand seals before following with a longer set using both hands, his gun momentarily hanging from his belt. At the end of the sequences of seals the overwhelming heat that normally encased the desert began to drop rapidly in the immediate area. Within moments puffs of Sai's breath could be seen as a white fog and the waves of heat were pushed off into the far distance.
The sands themselves, as though grateful for the rescue from the heat began to shift and raise in front of Sai. A large, black whale of ice soon breaking free from the brown mound to reveal its immense mass. As though that in itself wasn't enough of an attention getter, the beast quickly gave an obnoxious moan from its gullet before exploding. Shattering into thousands of shards of ice and shooting off in all directions, the immediate area around Sai lit up and shone bright as a star. From one shard to the next, the sun blazed across its surface and onto the next, magnifying from each reflection.
The entire moment lasted no more then possibly ten seconds before dissolving into nothing, only the cold climate being left as evidence of the short event. The show was sure to alert anyone in a near proximity and possibly neighboring villages, although not likely. Though in the end it was all the same to Sai. He had made a punching bag and fool out of the current Kazekage and nothing had happened. The country was going into high alert, he personally had done nothing to hide himself and still nothing had happened. The biggest resistance he faced were two inexperienced, ex-shinobi who were working as guards in a small community... not exactly the top notch security that he was expecting to defend the safety of the country.
A sigh passed through Sai's pursed lips, his hand held against his brow as he watched the black dot in the distance. It was a reoccurring thing he had noticed in his lifetime; young people obsessed with being a glorious hero. There wasn't anything wrong with being a hero, however they had tainted the title and ran it right through the mud. A hero was self sacrificing and noble, they put life and limb on the line not for fame and glory but because they felt the need too. There is no happy life or story book ending for a hero... nor should they expect one. Let alone expect thanks or reward for their actions, their actions themselves should be enough alone.
Shaking his head from side to side, Sai let out a raspy laugh. Oh how much he had come to despise the young and their fanatics. Worse off the peace had made them weak and the war had killed off the strong. The talented souls of the current generation were doomed to be wasted or screwed to reach their potential on their own.
But that was no longer of his concern... Thanks to the council of Water Country, Sai's own nation had been left to rot. And as he watched one by one his students sent on suicide missions and killed, he had grown resentful not only to Water Country but the whole world of shinobi. They all had gotten to enjoy their peace but what of him and his nation? How bout his people, his shinobi, his friends, his family, his everything? They had all been used as tools and then tossed away as soon as their use was over, left behind and written off as a necessary causality, sacrifice or whatever have of war.
Gritting his teeth tightly, Sai swallowed hard and whipped a tear that was beginning to form at the corner of his eyes. It was fine... he would drift by for now, forgotten to the shinobi world. Forgotten to all. But when he was ready... When he was ready he would purge the world into the darkness and war that it deserved... and from it bring about one new nation...
Clamping his hands firmly over his ears, Vyrin screwed his eyes shut as Voir let out another sound breaking roar. "CAN YOU BE ANY LOUDER!?!" The boy howled at the dragon, instantly regretting it as the black storm dragon dipped down suddenly forcing him to grip its mane with both hands tightly. Taking the chance, the beast pulled up straight and let out a roar much loader then the first.
Rolling his eyes back in pain, Vyrin brought his hands back to his head. He was sure the dragon was laughing to itself, savoring its victorious prank on him.
He didn't know why but for as long as he could remember, Voir and him were always enemies. It could have been because of so many things... the time Vyrin had lost his grip on one of Sai's guns and shot Voir in the hide... Then again it could have been due to Voir mistaking Vyrin's hat for a snack, and not just any hat but his favorite designer hat that took him months of saving to buy but only two days to be found and eaten by Voir. Yep, from destroying each others possessions to physically brutalizing each other, the two were always at war with each other.
If it wasn't for their mutual love and respect... and fear... for Sai, one of the two have surely been dead by now. And it was for that very man that at the moment the two were working together yet again instead of going at it while in his absence.
Voir let out another ear piercing roar, ignoring the displeased cries of Vyrin as he searched keenly for Sai's presence. The sooner he found his master, the sooner he would be able to get rid of the flee bitten mutt that was bitching and moaning on his back. Oh how he wished the b*****d could understand his tongue as he did his. For once in his life to be able to tell him off and embarrass the child so badly that he never spoke again... how much he would savor such a moment.
It was a few moments after that thought, that both Voir's and Vyrin's attention flickered to a bright flare of light in the distance. With a rumbling groan, Voir blinked rapidly before glaring at the light again. Taking a short moment to itself, the beast quickly regained it's composure before soaring off in the direction of Sai.
Sighing softly, Sai pinched the upper bridge of his nose and rubbed it softly. It would be a few hours before the two reached him, by that time night fall would arrive as well. Chances were that by that time, Voir and Vyrin wouldn't be the only ones greeting Sai with the night... There was no way that the Kazekage would be so hesitant and childish to leave him be for that much longer. Along with that he was very sure that someone from Water Country would have been sent to track him down by now. Ever since Sorain had started taking longer meditation periods and going out on more high scale missions, the ninja council for Water Country had started exerting itself more over the country. Periodically pushing its strength around on any matter that posed to garner profit and power for them, ignoring the backlash that it would have on others.
But it didn't mean anything to him anymore, he had left the people of his home country behind. He had Voir and Vyrin for company now. The majority of his pupils were dead or retired with families now. The only two people he had truly left behind and felt a twinge of regret was Sorain and Eclipse. His brother was one matter and didn't carry that heavy of regret but... Eclipse was the son of his most hard working and successful students, Seita Mizu. Like his father, Eclipse was definitely something else and very capable of becoming a top notch shinobi if instructed correctly... But after adopting Vyrin... he had promised himself no more pupils.
With a sigh, Sai slumped down to sit on a stone. The hard rock now freezing cold. Letting his head rest on his prompted up hand, he drummed his fingers against his temple. It was going to be a very, very long day...

Quote: Quick wrap up of the post: Sai just sent an ice flare out to alert his allies in the distance to come to him. His allies let out an ear piercing roar. The check to notice them is below. If you were in the desert before my post then you can auto notice me, if you are in a village then you need to make the check. Notice Check (Int(x2) + Awareness Buffs vs 424)RPically it'll take a few hours for his Allies to reach him. Once they do reach him, the group will be on their way to the event. So if not contacted by my next post, Sai shall be gone~ When my next post is... IDK xD Quote: [592 - Norm Lines 306 - Battle Lines ]

Eclipse continued to walk around the dry city in search of Sai.. For some reason he could feel that Sai had ben or left the area a long time ago.. It wasnt long before chobey heard something in the distance. "What What is it?" I can since his chakra eclipse.. Somethings happening in the far end of the desert. My advice would be to stay away from it.." Eclipse laughed "Well your the smart one.. I guess we are leaving this town to the next." He jumped up high in the air as Chobey spun around turning quickly into chobenra to catch Eclipse on his backside. "Where to then?" Chobey asked in his deep voice. " Lets go on the outskirts of the town for now." Chobenra nodded and flew towards the dessert area.

Akane sighed softly and brought her hand up, scratching at the edge of her eyebrow. This was troublesome. At least it was likely to be troublesome. She let a long breath slip past her lips and closed her eyes, taking in a long breath of air before speaking up softly, "Well, if you want to go after the purple haired man, we aren't going to stand in your way." She wasn't sure how to deal with these people, really. They were ninjas, and not from this village, so they were going to need to do something. She stared at the two of them for a few more long moments and then closed her eyes, "I can get you some food, but I don't know how long the Kage is likely to be out."

Sai shifted irritably in his seat, his body hunched over and his head hung low to his chest. It had been around three hours since he had sent that signal for Voir. Since then he had yet to move from that position. Like a sleeping statue he kept like that, his eyes closed and his arms limp on his knees, his gun dangling loosely from his fingers.
With a grunt he shifted again. This time however, the man's body dipped low as though his drowsiness was about to knock him from his seat, before yanking back up straight. Blinking rapidly, Sai glanced from side to side with a sudden paranoid awareness. Calming down, Sai relaxed into his stony seat again and within a few moments he began to droop back into his feigned sleep.

"Notwen, that was pathetic! Do you call that a kick?!" yelled Soba, who was crouched in a horse stance with his left arm in blocking position. Notwen crouched with his hands on his knees a few yards away. Panting heavily, he got to his feet and charged at Soba again. Soba braced for the impact, keeping his keen eyes on his student the whole time. The boy jumped high and came down with bone-shattering kick aimed at his sempai. A split second before impact Soba made his substitution. Notwen noticed the change with his sharingan, but the subtlety of his sempai's substitution caught him in the middle of the follow-through. Notwen's leg connected with a column of sand and got stuck. He detected the kick and twisted his body just in time as Soba's calf passed over the place his head would have been. "Not bad!" By now, the sand trap had dissolved enough for Notwen to pull his leg free. The boy jumped a few paces back, catching his breath. Good, he said to himself, at least now i can see when he makes the substitutions. Notwen began digging in his back pouch and presently found what he was looking for: three kunais and a smoke bomb. Notwen threw the smoke bomb at the area directly above Soba, which he followed by throwing one kunai directly at him. Soba evaded the weapon exactly as Notwen had predicted, by jumping upwards, right into the smoke bomb's radius. The second kunai was aimed right for the still falling smoke bomb. It pierced the thin capsule, releasing a cloud of black acrid smoke around Soba. Notwen acted swiftly. He began gathering heat into his palm, molding it into a spherical shape. The glowing orange orb was ready just when a similar orange glow began emanating from the smoke cloud. A smoky tendril extended downwards from the cloud carrying the orange light. Soba and Notwen charged at each other, sempai carrying his glowing orb in his left hand, student carrying his in his right hand. "CALORMEN!!""CALORMEN!!"The glowing orbs collided, sending colossal heat waves into the ground and air simultaneously. Both master and student were thrown back, unable to contain such powerful energy clashing between themselves. They remained motionless for some time, both taking in deep breaths on opposite sides of a small area of newly formed glassy rock. Soba sat up first, propping himself up on his one arm. "That was intense, N, a little more and your Calormen will be even stronger than mine." Nowen sat up, crossing his legs and resting his hands on his knees. "Soba-sempai, you were going easy on me, weren't you? Please, next time don't hold back. I need to learn from my mistakes." Soba laughed. "Notwen, we're only trainin'. There's no need to beat each other to a pulp. Come on let's pick up our stuff and get movin'.""Okay, sempai. I'm sorry for getting carried away.""It's not a problem, come on!"The task of recovering the used tools took about fifteen minutes, but they were all found and packed away. For lunch master and pupil snacked on preserved fruit and washed it down with some water. Thirty minutes later they were on a steady trek toward the fire country when a great noise came from somewhere overhead. They scanned the sky and it was Soba who noticed what seemed to be a pitch black flying lizard. "Notwen, use your sharingan and scout the dragon's flight path.""Right!" Notwen closed his hazel eyes, and when he reopened them the retina was crimson with the twin tomoe swirling into place. His chakra-revealing gaze saw that the dragon was flying steadily towards a great fount of chakra. "It's headed for a place north of our present position." "So i'm guessing that it's makin' it's way for that light display over yonder." he said, gesturing to a place near the horizon where light was shining from the ground. "Let's check it out." They trekked northward for two hours, hearing the dragon roar several times. When the pair reached the source of the glowing, Soba stopped. He picked up what appeared to be crystal from the sand. It was cold, transparent, and when he licked it, it tasted like some type of fish. "What the hell would ice be doin' here in the middle of the desert?" he asked himself. "Sempai!, theres a man sleeping on a rock over there!" Sure enough, after getting a bit closer, they saw a purple-haired, young looking man sitting on a frozen rock, with a gun dangling loosely from his finger.

Oasis smiled over to Hatsuma and then looked up to Fuyu before deciding to push the gate open. She walked with a wandering gait into the training area. She spun around a few times as she seemed to be just lazily looking at the surroundings but actually she was taking in all of the environment and getting a feel for the layout of the arena for training. A long smile spread over her features as she prodded about with her senses looking for water, and found only one deep ground source, and realized she would have to use her unique thick water techniques. She spun about and faced the gate where her friends were waiting. "OKAY LETS GET IT STARTED!" she shouts as she jumped up and down and finally came to a rest on one foot. She scanned around again looking for their leader, and kage. "Come on down here sensei-kage-guy!" she shouts out with a grin as she stared in his general direction, humans had water in them, so with a relatively short distance she could feel people as if they were minute water sources.

Hatsuma was ready to step into the training ground ready to begin with whatever was dished out. "Miss Hatsuma we finally located you..." a familiar voice called out from behind Hatsuma causing her to avert her attention to them. I was one of the more skilled Nomadic shinobi who had raised her in her youth. "Your step father has gone out on a mission and hasn't returned yet, we were hoping you'd help us get the kaze-kage to assist us in our search." the young man continued after seeing he had her attention. "We won't need the assistance of the Kaze-kage, our problems should be resolved with our own skill, I'll come join in the search for Father and his missing team." Hatsuma stated bluntly before turning to her team. "forgive me kage-sama and team I must take my leave temporarily to resolve a small matter with my family." Hatsuma gave a courteous bow before turning and leaving directing the shinobi who had greeted her to follow along. she would be on her way to the nomadic village which was currently in the outskirts of the village.

Oasis whirled about a few times as she noticed new people appearing. She scanned the Kages location, and paid attention to the people who were apparently Hatsuma's people. She tipped from side to side as she listened to what was being said. She weighed it out in her head as she thought about what she wanted to do, the training would plainly be canceled, so that meant either stay here with Fuyu who seemed a little dry and be bored. OR follow Hatsuma on what sounded like a great adventure. intrigue, a missing father, secret ninja missions, that all sounded like fun. She spun around again before jumping from her spot and trotting over towards Hatsuma "I'm goin with you!" she states as she sped up her pace and trotted along to be beside Hatsuma "So whats the plan?" she questions as she walked with an exaggerated stride while cautiously eyeballing the other nomads..

"Notwen, stay back." whispered Soba. He began making his way silently towards the sleeping man. Notwen watched as his sempai's face came within inches of the stranger's. Five minutes later he returned with a serious look on his face. "What's the matter sempai?" asked Notwen. Soba breathed in and made a lengthy sigh. "That man's from the Land of Water, a hidden mist shinobi." Notwen knew the world map very well, and understood part of the reason of Soba's distress. The man was literally a fish out of water. "Okay, but what's the matter with that?" confused Soba supported his chin on his left hand. "The weapon he carries, that gun, it's made from an unknown alloy. If i'm right, the bullets from that thing could penetrate through ten houses and still keep going."Notwen thought about the creature he saw earlier. It had been flying in this direction and suddenly a strange thought came to him. The black dragon and the purple-haired man must be connected somehow! Just as the thought crossed his head, the same roar from earlier cut through the darkening sky, nearer this time. Soba and Notwen both looked up and saw the dark dot growing and moving steadily in their direction.

The creature was now moving faster and more purposefully; it had spotted them in the splendor of the ice. "Aw, crud!!" muttered Soba under his breath. He began making seals with his hand, which Notwen immediately recognized as the seals to conjure Ancient Gear. "Soba-sempai, stop!!" yelled Notwen gripping Soba's forearm before he had a chance to place his hand on the armor plate that covered his right shoulder stump. "What are you doin', Notwen!?" said Soba, trying to control the rush of anger that was threatening to take over. "That man is the legendary Sai Orasaki, the 'Purple Phantom' of the Mist. That creature flying toward us must be Voir, the Black Dragon! If we don't do anything, we're as good as dead!""Not if we get its master to call it off!" said Notwen, picking up a big ice shard from the sandy ground. "Wait! What're you-" Soba didn't get to finish his statement because Notwen walked closer to the sleeping Sai. "WAKE THE HELL UP!!" he screamed, hurling the ice shard at Sai's head so hard that it broke into smaller pieces.

Hatsuma didn't bother contesting Oasis in her decision and let it go. "Our first priority is to return to the Nomads and retrieve the same mission my father and his team underwent then we can follow it from there." she explained calmly answering Oasis' question. The nomad shinobi that now followed behind Hatsuma remained silent for the most part and remained wary of Oasis who had opted to come along. Though it was rare for outsiders to visit the nomads they didn't prevent visits nor did they promote them. Quickly the wall of the village came into view and at the large gates there awaited more similarly dressed shinobi to the nomads who were with Hatsuma now. Hatsuma came into a reasonable distance of the others and gave a light bow before speaking. "I would like to see the elder and get the mission scroll my father took." she stated bluntly; a rather startled look came upon the face of the foremost shinobi. "you know... we can't assign you that mission or even let you see it for that matter, the rank of the mission is to high for you..."
"I know that's why i'll speak to the elder about it and not you..." Hatsuma interjected clearly passionate about her resolve in the matter.
"very well Hatsuma I'll take you too see the elder about this..." the foremost shinobi spoke and motioned them to follow with his hand to follow before turning to the gate and exiting for the desert. Hatsuma and the other nomad shinobi followed suit their faces soon meeting with grains of sand beating across their faces from the strong winds present in the country. Hastsuma knew she would have to speak with the elder to get permission on this. Unlike a standard shinobi village or clan the nomads had an honor system when it came to handing out missions. The missions were granted to the more skilled and more recognized members of the village. In that same regard a member of a shinobi's family has the right to request to undertake a mission that a fallen or missing family member was on in order to maintain the honor of their name. This would be Hatsuma's plee to the elder and if she could prove her worth she would be allowed this privilage.

Oasis swayed lightly from side to side as she listened to Hatsuma give a dry explanation. It worked for Oasis, though she would have preferred more pep and vitality to it, she rather expected it from Hatsuma even though she knew her a relatively short amount of time now. She looked at the other nomads who all wore a style of garb similar to Hatsuma. Obviously they all took the same fashion classes yea? Oasis snickered lightly at her own not funny joke and returned to paying attention, apparently one of the guys said she wasn't a high enough rank, so then that meant it must have been a dangerous mission, that made it even more fun. However she kept herself quiet and didn't speak out of turn she knew best at least to respect the ways of others around her, even if her personal verve was always high strung it was disrespectful to always act on it. Elder? it sounded to Oasis as if the nomads were sort of like her village, she hoped the elder was like the chief of her home then he would be really neat to meet and probably knew all kinds of amazing skills. A long grin of glee spread over Oasis face as she was about to follow Hatsuma, not even thinking about the fact that she had no permission to speak to or see the elder. However before Oasis could follow Hatsuma she was cut off by a thunderous voice "MY DAUGHTER!" it called out loudly and very masculine. A few moments later a mammoth of a man appeared a large steel hammer strapped to his back much in the way one would wear a sword. "I have heard that you graduated from the academy! This is an event worthy of celebration!" he boomed out as he scooped Oasis up into a crunching bear hug. "In recognition of this I have brought you your sword!" he states as he pulled something from a pouch at his side, in his hands it looked smaller than a dagger. He held it out to Oasis and dropped it into her open hands. "wow, I finally get my sword now!" Oasis chimed out as she looked at the deep red lacquered scabbard that the blade of her weapon was sheathed within. She rubbed her hand along its surface and then slid her hand down the chain and held the lock in her palm for a minute as she looked at it, she remembered her father having told her something about the family heirlooms that carried these locks, so she wondered what her lock was for. She smiled brightly as she inspected the masterful work of art that she held in her hands. She wasted no time in drawing the blade from its sheath and holding the somewhat oddly rectangular blade out infront of her she smiled at the interesting design, it most certainly held the markings of her fathers work or at least whoever had taught him she knew his craft had been carried down the family line for generations so maybe this was made a long time ago. The blade held a soft blue quality to its metal that interested Oasis deeply as she looked at her reflection on its surface. "Yes, however you cannot use your weapon just now, leave it in its sheathe, after all it must get to know your spirit right? So you will be able to use this weapon when the time is right and you will use it then." he states with a big grin as he watched his daughter revel in her gift. "Yes of course I know all about that, ... so... When do I get the key for it?" she questions swinging the lock at the end around in the air. Her father chuckled and shook his head lightly he figured she would ask that question right away. "haha, silly child you know already that you must earn the key." he states nodding briskly. "When you return home we will hold a feast in honor of your achievement." he states with a smile "I must return home now however, so that I may finish work on some of my latest creations and projects." he says with a deep bow, having completely ignored the nomads he then made his way home once again. Oasis spun the weapon around a few more times as she looked at the metal and then to the handle in her hand. A smile still spread over her face. She finally slid it back into the scabbard and smiled as she heard the loud click of it returning to its place. Now that she was no longer distracted she returned to following Hatsuma. She paused and looked at the nomads "HEY, I'm gonna follow my friend Hatsuma now." she states as she fastened her blade in its new place on her belt.

(hey, sorry for this long over due post... I swear sometimes I think I have A.D.D or something... my mind just can never fully concentrate on some things...)
As fuyu realized that no one was moving any more, he desided to let himself off of the gate and back onto normal ground. It wasn't long after he was standing on the ground when he heard other voices speaking. He couldn't make them out, but they didn't sound threatening so he continued to stay silent. All the conversation was directed towards Hatsuma, speaking of a mission and missing step father. Hatsuma replied and told everyone that she was heading off to help find him. It wasn't long before he heard Oasis jolting towards her sreaming her statements yet again. He turned to the Kage's general direction, or at least where he thought the kage was. "Well... looks like this might have to wait... I'm sure we'll see eachother soon." And with that, Fuyu darted towards the seemingly distance comrades with the voices he didn't recognize. He followed Both Hatsuma and Oasis, finally catching up but staying behind everyone as not to disturb them in what ever they were doing. He continued to listen in on the conversations that were had, the main point being that they needed the same mission her step father had. As they reached the nomad's village, he heard more talking between Hatsuma and other nomads. He listened but did not speak again. Just continued to gather information and follow along. Without warning, another voice nearly shattered Fuyu's eardrums with it's bellowing. He turned and shook his head as he attempted to figure out what was going on. The loud statement said it all, he'd just heard Oasis's father. So that's were she got that voice from he stated in his mind. A sword? In her hands? Crap... well, at least she couldn't use it yet he thought as he perked his ears some more in search of a set of footsteps that would lead him to Hatsuma in a moment. There were too many footsteps so with a 'flick of a switch' moment, he could see. Fuyu searched for Hatsuma and found her then looked at Oasis. She was already on her way so again he followed them, now releasing he chakra on his eyes so he was thusly blind, but his eyes were not hurting him since it was only for a few seconds.
