Hey does anyone have an idea what I should do with an original weapon. I've already been accepted, but I feel the ability of my weapon should be explained, just so no one can say I'm just improvising when I use it.
Just so everyone knows up front here. The weapon is a sword with independent fire chakra. The Chakra is much like an individual nin, but lacks any (greater) treat with out one who knows how to use it. The ability is that thischakra takes the colors of the visible light spectrum and places a bility to it.
Whats available to me now is.
Red & Blue
Red- (this is simple) burns thing,boom pow , flaming sword. Though I guess it could be said to be as hot as lava. Though I think that's pushing it so just flame.
Blue-(this is the one I'm worried about) Distorts Senses.
Now the problem lies in how it infiltrates ones senses to begin with, I was thinking of the good old, slash, oh your now losing (gradually over a period of ten post) your sense of touch, slash, opp there go your eyes.
Then I had the much cooler idea of whatever the flame can influence it can effect.
-So, if you hear the crackle of the flame, your hearing starts to fade over ten post till your temporarily deaf or the sound of it creates false ones around you when slashed n your direction.
-See the flame , your sight fades over ten post until you're blind. Same as last time but this needs to get pretty close to start effecting what one sees.
-With touch it's the same with the ten post count down and is initiated with touch, though it acts more like paralysis. With a nick of the blade a genjutsu user can play with your bodies sense of feeling to a degree. (can't make them feel as if they were dieing, can make them feel multiple stab wounds, there flesh peeling, that they're slowing down and with this to some degree they might, or might just move to much and get tired...etc.)
...etc.
The manipulative side of this are all governed by a genjutsu base of control. Using the blade as a link to the target from the senses it affects. Though like these are capable to be broken with proper knowledge of genjutsu or chakra flow, or an overwhelming physical sensation.
I'm really sketchy on what I should do wit this, or am I just being to imaginative.

It sounds interesting, a sword with its own chakra. Its link to genjutsu makes it more understandable, but the part I like best is that it doesn't render you completely defenceless, it still leaves you with smell, however helpful that may be. But overall, I like it! smile

It's supposed to be a part of my characters character development. I really wanted her to become a more so legendary blacksmith alongside her ninja skills. This blade is more of something she stumbled upon in her practice of metallurgy. I really didn't want the bade to be some good mod, yet a viable weapon against unsuspecting combatants.
I'm glad to hear you approve, but I wonder if Bull-kun will. I'd like to start with this blade and go on to create more that I'll allow Bull to give out as prizes. All holding different abilities, but with an obvious trade mark.
Actually it goes into smell as well, that's what the (...etc.) stood for. Though that's only if she cuts something that she can burn and you actually breath in the fumes or smoke. Then it starts to go to town on you. Though you can break it wit a hard hit to the face. (nearly knocking yourself out)
Smell and taste often go together so you kill two bird with one stone with the method of over taking smell.
Actually there have been studies in torture, that taking the first three sense from a person is the most sure fire way to break a persons mind.

Oh and also you should know I kind of got the idea to be a blacksmith-esk shinobi when I saw your characters profile. she was made well so I found her to be mentally the rival of my character.

Lightning, so I'm a cloud nin. My little weapons made so that it gives every one a fair bit of trouble and it's a great weapon to face to gain a bit of character building. You beat it in what ever way you choose you may pick up something. though I'm not going to make it so easy to get by.

Well we'll have our time, but for now I guess we'll have to see what other nin will join up with our villages. Weed out the challages fromthe lot of them. Then become the top young ninja n our villages. After that we rip each others heads off.

Ah, I must have misunderstood the etc. Lol, a rivalry and we've not began with the RP. Very well then, it's on! The Amegakure still doesn't have any postage, but I'll wait.

I dislike the sword, because there is no way to avoid all three effects, and going off of the original concept it could very easily become a godmod.
"If you smell the fire, you can't smell, if you sense the chakra of the fire, you can no longer sense chakra."
Seeing as I view that as a sixth sense.

actually the senseing thing can work. I guess i still need to clarify this, but when it comes to the sense of touch you need to get the physical sensation. so if the flame gets too close, lets say your body is alarmed and moves away because the "this will burn me" alarm goes off. You'll then be effected by it.
ex. You can close your eyes and sense the jutsu, and have that be your way of retaining your senses of sight for later. As for touch, don't get hit. It's very realistic, given the nature of ninjas.
What keeps this from being a god mod, is that i made it so that anyone can break it if they just use their head. Hell if you've even watch a season or two of naruto you could get out of it. You just have to make it work for your character to figure. Really it's made for people to actually try to out think my genjutsu. You really have to learn to find a sixth sense.
List of weaknesses:
> Great Chakra Control
> People who have a sixth sense (it can't take these from you), or an extensive sense (a person with a stronger version of any of the senses, is effect less and more slowly than those who are average. So to say they have 30 post before lights out on the given sense.)
>People smart enough to figure out how to break it. (I listed the options earlier.)
> Stronger or smarter or even equal genjutsu users.

I'm not disputing that you couldn't avoid an aspect or two of that ability, but it would be impossible to avoid it entirely, which creates an issue of godmodding.

It's only unavoidable to those who don't know about it or don't know of her. o does with the wit to put her name down in their bingo book. They'll be wise to keep distance from her and their eyes shut. The only thing that would be hardest to avoid is the flame. Unless your hard of hearing, or are a sound nin and can control that sort of thing about your self.
My character herself is hard of hearing, so let's just say she actively levels the field a bit. though when fighting a team this weapons draw backs increase. Also I made everything deratonal. It's more accurately and effect, like all genjutsu (this one being watered down compared to the potency of a normal D class genjutsu. It just spans the senses. Which again so does the basic D-class jutsu.)
You have more than a fair shot to figure out if it's fight or flight with this jutsu. So id say you'd better work fast. Knock her out, or retreat until your senses come back. (I'd say three post at two miles distance)
