Malik never really meditated or even thought much about it. He was one to channel stress and anger through violent means- a trait he was taught my Marik when they shared a body. "I agree, after so starting to hunt Kishin souls would be a good idea. Especially if you want to get back into the school faster," he said to her. He had forgotten that her being out here was dangerous because of the other witches, "Do you think they know you are out here?" he said in more of a whisper to Lerena. He didn't want Marik to hear in case he was ease dropping or happened to over hear.
Akiko looked away from him and glared at a spot on the ground as he lectured her. That didn't last long she shot a look up at him and walked up to him pointing at him, "Do you WANT to get hurt? Die? Huh?" She got in his face and continued, "And for what?! Some girl you just met? You'll gain nothing by staying here but pain. I don't need any repayed favors or sympathy!" Even though she was arguing with him, for once in a long time she was being open and emotional to another person. But she refused to have someone help her. She didn't want anyone else around her to die or get hurt.

"Perhaps." she said, barely audible. It would take a good ear to realize what she said, but it was more of whether they pay attention to details. Her mouth movements, the topic, a typical response, any of these would be a key to figuring out what she said. "We should find a Kishin soul that isn't too strong to start off with." She knew that Marik would want to kill the most powerful ones first so the weaker ones would be more satisfying to defeat. However, she really didn't care about Marik or his crappy opinions. In reality, Lerena was very selfish, but she really wanted Malik to like her. She wasn't sure if it would be worth it, but she did make the first move. She stayed cuddled up to him.
"It's true I just met you, but nothing will be gained by Shibusen losing a Meister. What about Spirit? You're not the only person in this world who had to fight alone. I don't want that for anyone else." replied Atemu bluntly. "The death of a Shibusen student affects all, weapon or Meister. Be you a person I just met or not, I don't let people just walk into a suicide mission. Would you let that happen to someone else? This isn't sympathy or a repaid favor; I'm simply helping you because I consider you a friend." Yes, he said it. He considered Akiko a friend. It didn't matter what she looked like. Why should she have to deal with everything herself? It was an admirable quality to have, just not enough in some circumstances. There were times that he would have failed without the help of his friends and the bond they shared.
