((Oh speaking of gundam variants Dark Empros, Nisus, and Unus are all Freedom gundam variants.))
Nick nodded as Adal gave his story. "Man and I thought I had rough times." Nick heard a siren from a computer Zero was in combat. "Great. What has Kamon gotten himself into now? Come on Adal lets go help him out." Nick then rushed to Dark Empros got in and launched. A short distance away he saw Koza, Byrd, and Kamon fighting a wierd looking suit. "Hey. Need some help?" Nick fired his Buster pistols but was shocked to see the shots disperse on impact with the suit. "What the?" Nick continued firing testing to see if what he saw was correct. To his distaste it was. So he swiched to the wing mini-guns and started to shoot at it.
"Sir! The Modus Operandi has engaged Kamon, Byrd, Koza, and Nick. Should we advance?" One of Al's officers asked.
"No. Give it some time and wait for my command." Al and his battalion were some distance away using their camera;s zoom to watch the fight. "Though it looks like John is having some trouble. He's outnumbered and out gunned. What will he do next?" Al mused to himself.

((I was beginning to wonder where everyone was hiding while I'm beating on Kamon lol @Strider: That's one of the Gundam SEED suits, right? I never watched that show...I'll look it up at mahq.)) John maneuvered quickly to avoid the volley of bullets and shells raining around him. "Idiots! You're going to hit your own man, shooting at me like that!" A few stray shots struck the armor of both suits in combat. John backed off to survey his surroundings. The one called Dark Empros was moving to fire on him again. It seemed the pilot had just figured out the Modus' weak point. As Zero lunged for him again, John launched himself away from the whirling blades, and headed for the Dark Empros on the ground, taking great care to avoid fire from Zeta and Tallgeese.

"Build up enough steam pressure, YES!" The sludge was blown off the vents, allowing Zeta X into the fight. Byrd flew up, and started raining shots from the mega beam cannon down, hoping to at least trip the Modus Operandi.
Koza began boosting in sporadic patterns, blazing his mini-gun when ever he was sure he wouldn't hit an ally

((I always get a little nervous about posting in fight scenes, cause I don't want to step on any toes. Well, let's see what happens this time.)) John grunted as the sheer energy from the beam cannon's shots hit his armor. Surface temperature was building, but not at an unusual rate. Zeta Gundam had become mobile again, so John had to shift targets once more. Modus had crippled the machine's cooling system, but John could see that the exhaust ports were clear again. It seemed he would have to take care of this one next. The Tallgeese was also getting closer. John quickly keyed in a few commands and recalibrated the verniers to optimize his speed. He would need every advantage to take out that Tallgeese, which was nearly as fast as Modus Operandi, despite the Tallgeese's size. "Damn, the ground combat protocols aren't quite up to date," John said to himself. He landed hard a few hundred feet from Zeta. "Tell me something, Gundam pilots."

This pilot was good, able to match Zero move for move. Smiling, Kamon rushed to the CAS while Zeta, Tallgeese, and Dark Empros had the Modus distracted. Changing quickly, Kamon exited the container, the ground shaking as Taikou once again entered combat. Kneeling, he chuckled a bit. "Whoever you are, I doubt you could take a shot from this." The end of the cannon began to glow, being held back only because Kamon didn't want to kill, at least not without reason. "I doubt even that strange armor of yours could withstand something this powerful. You are outgunned, and outnumbered. But I admit, you are a great pilot, dodging Yaiba's blades so easily." 'Why attack us without provacation... I doubt he's with Backdraft, there aren't any markings at all on his suit to show who he fights for...' "What is it you want to know?"

John watched the reconfigured Zero level its considerably sized weapon against him. "Why are you doing this? You're all piloting those damnable Gundam machines, just like the BD dogs. You're no better than they are. No human being should not possess so much power...not when it can so easily be abused. Aside from that, where's your strategy? What are you really doing to fight Backdraft? You attack at random, with no rhyme or reason, and you don't act as a team. Do you know what you've done? You gave their leader everything he needs to destroy you! He's on his way here, if he isn't already hiding nearby. My family and I have worked under him for years...we know what he's capable of. He probably has already worked out how he's going to destroy you. Me, I'm not here to kill you. I just want those demon machines of yours demolished. And don't bother firing that gun. I'm guessing it'll only immobilize you, and we both know this machine's too fast for you to catch with that configuration." Kamon's allies all gathered around John. "What will you say? Why are you fighting like this?"

"I may not be able to move, but the other part on my back isn't a cannon, it's a container, with hundreds of bits, fitted with blades and guns, and they can move much faster than you can. I'm willing to bet. As for working as a team, we manage, even if we do have our own ways." Kamon lowered the energy level in the cannon, and the glow subsided. "We want to prevent Backdraft from taking over everything. If you want to fight anyone, it's gonna be me, I started the fight. And we don't attack unless provoked. And you provoked us by attacking first, and how would you know if he is here?" Kamon grunted, the controls stiff from so much weight. "Even if he does attack, Taikou Arashi is armored enough to withstand a barrage of attacks."

"Hmm. That's all you've got to say? That's why you're not fit to be a soldier! You think that enough armor and enough weapons will win the war for you. That's why I've got to disarm you. You'll end up doing more harm than good. And I know that your enemies are here, because I know Christopher and Alucard. They were undoubtedly hoping I would finish most of you off. Give your scanners a second look. Don't look for unusual heat signatures. They're sending out counter-signals to jam the sensors. Look on your infrared imager, and you will see several large black spots, complete absences of heat. It's the Backdraft."

"I fit Zero like this to be able to adapt to different battle situations, and Taikou Arashi's cannon seems to be the only beam weapon capable to doing anything against your armor. And why would you tell us they are here? Why disarm us when we are only trying to defend ourselves and our homes from being taken over, from being detsoyed?!" Kamon looked over his imagers again, and sure enough, the pilot was right, they were here. Without missing a second, he opened the container, and a couple hundred bits flew out, surrounding the area in a defensive array. "If they try to attack, they will have to deal with those bits. Besides, I still have one armor set you haven't seen. One faster than you could imagine."

"However fast it may be, you have to take into consideration your weight. Even Gundanium has its limits. If you try to move any faster than that Tallgeese, the force of your propulsion, acting against the inertia of a mobile suit that size, will tear than machine apart. No, I'm not worried about you catching me. And those bits aren't going to protect you. You're about to find out why." John ran his EMP defense procedures. The hard lines carrying power were temporarily cut, and a magnetic shield powered up to protect his subsystems. Modus Operandi shut down just as a nearby Backdraft (G)Gundam fired an ECM rocket into the vicinity. The rocket detonated as an EMP ravaged the electrical systems of the Gundams. When the static faded, Modus Operandi's shield dropped, and the systems re-aligned and re-established themselves. John's machine was again up and running while the Gundams sat silent, the bits lying useless on the ground. "If you've learned anything at all from Chris, then you've got defensive repair nanites at work right now. I'm not going to fight you like this. I will wait for you to reconfigure. But first--" John ignited a beam blade and sliced the large gun in two. "There. That's one less thing for me to worry about while I've got my back turned." With that, John boosted away to meet the Backdraft pilots in battle while Kamon and his allies' Gundams reawakened. It seemed they had prepared no defense against the EMP, so they would recover a little more slowly than Modus.

((I suggest after your next post we wait for strider and quinton, possibly ty to post. we may lose them)) "Damn!" Kamon pounded the screen, infuriated at the thought of being helpless. It took what seemed like forever for the nanites to do their work but the suits were working again within 20minutes, the damage less than what had been done before when the head had been blown off. He jettisoned the armor, the few bits inside the container launching after the nanites had repaired their circuitry. Changing to Raikou, Kamon launched, rejoining battle yet again. "This is my final set, but you're wrong about my speed being too much, it was specifically designed to withstand extreme maneuvers. Kamon waited patiently, not worrying about attacks, knowing he could dodge them without trying. The last of the bit surrounded Raikou, forming a defensive, yet lethal, barrier. "I don't know how your blade cut through the cannon so easily, but if it had been charged, you would have killed us all."

" !! LOOK OUT!!" Koza began firing his mini-gun at the direction of a beam shot that missed Tallgeese's head by feet. "Take this, you sons' a *!"
Byrd turned and fired a shot at the '79 and destroyed it. he then noticed a small green flash inside the hanger from darkness. "Spectre lives." Rushing as fast as he can, Byrd lands and disembarks from Zeta, and jumps in Epyon Spectre. But when he exits, no visual or radar signature is found, just footsteps. A faint glow the shape of the heat rod became visible. "I might not have the Snipe Buster, but i think i can live with out it."

((Heh, you kinda lost me anyway. I'm still in the hangar...))
Adalwulf finished his sandwich and was the slowest to get ready at the sound of the alert. He hopped into Lillia, bringing the bottle with him, and closed the cockpit. Though he usually would have brought it with him, his laptop stayed on the table in the other, smaller, room. He went out to where Kamon, Nick, Byrd, and Koza were, slightly confused at what was happening. He noticed they weren't moving, and the parts on the ground, as well as some mech that seemed fully functional. "Uh, would anyone care to explain what that alert meant?" He asked, broadcasting it so everyone could hear. "I've no idea."

"Oh? Did I miss one? Ah, well. If I were you, I would be on the lookout for the small squad of '79 Gundams heading your way. Once the Backdraft has been dealt with, then I will finish what I started with you and your friends." John zipped away into a battalion of Backdraft pilots, shredding the Gundams as he went. <--There's my machine, in its non-Gundanium glory.
